廣(guang)州市白(bai)云(yun)中(zhong)學創辦(ban)(ban)于1960年(nian),前身是白(bai)云(yun)師范學校(xiao),后經歷(li)五(wu)次搬(ban)遷,六易校(xiao)名,1999年(nian)轉制(zhi)辦(ban)(ban)高中(zhong), 2000年(nian)更名為廣(guang)州市白(bai)云(yun)中(zhong)學,是白(bai)云(yun)區四(si)所骨干高中(zhong)之一(yi),學校(xiao)于2010年(nian)9月整體搬(ban)遷到金(jin)沙洲校(xiao)區。學校(xiao)擬于2017年(nian)下半年(nian)申報(bao)示(shi)范性高中(zhong)。

廣州市白(bai)云中(zhong)學的前身是創(chuang)辦于1960年的江村師(shi)范學校,校址位于白(bai)云區蚌湖玉墟宮(gong),設速師(shi)班2個(ge),幼師(shi)班2個(ge),共有學生186人(ren),教職工(gong)23人(ren)。
1964年(nian)學校易名為廣(guang)州市(shi)郊區農業職(zhi)業學校,校址設(she)在(zai)今(jin)九佛鎮,當年(nian)招收會計專業2個班(ban),初級農業技術班(ban)2個,共200人,實行半農半讀(du)。
1965年(nian)春(chun),學(xue)校(xiao)遷(qian)至石井(jing)莘村,同年(nian)夏季,又遷(qian)至東圃新塘鐘(zhong)嶺,開設果樹專(zhuan)業(ye)、獸醫(yi)專(zhuan)業(ye)各1個(ge)(ge)(ge)班,普師(shi)(shi)專(zhuan)業(ye)2個(ge)(ge)(ge)班,速(su)成(cheng)師(shi)(shi)范1個(ge)(ge)(ge)班,共(gong)250人,由于增開師(shi)(shi)范專(zhuan)業(ye),學(xue)校(xiao)更名為廣州市農職(zhi)師(shi)(shi)范學(xue)校(xiao)。
1968年(nian)至1969年(nian),學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)改為普通(tong)中(zhong)學(xue)(xue),更名為廣州(zhou)市110中(zhong)學(xue)(xue),校(xiao)址(zhi)設在現天河區東圃。
1969年(nian)經市(shi)批準,學(xue)校又更(geng)名為(wei)廣州市(shi)郊區師(shi)范學(xue)校。
1969年(nian)至1972年(nian)初,學(xue)校共培訓中小學(xue)教師1000多(duo)人,由于辦學(xue)規范的不(bu)斷(duan)擴大(da)。
1972年,學(xue)校遷至沙河(he)馬蹄崗,一方(fang)面繼續招收普師班(兩年制),另一方(fang)面擔負在職教師的進修培訓任務。
1980年(nian)正式招收初中畢業生(sheng),學制改(gai)為三年(nian)。
1983年(nian)區政府和市教育局為了進一步(bu)完善學(xue)校辦學(xue)設(she)施,提高辦學(xue)水(shui)平,撥款(kuan)250萬元(yuan),在廣州大道中水(shui)蔭二橫路(lu)新(xin)建校址(zhi)。1984年(nian)秋,學(xue)校遷至(zhi)新(xin)址(zhi)。
1987年更名為廣州(zhou)市白云師(shi)范學校,招(zhao)生規模(mo)擴大到18個班,并招(zhao)收(shou)天(tian)河、芳(fang)村、黃埔以及從(cong)化(hua)、增城、新豐、龍門、陽(yang)江等地新生,至此(ci)白云師(shi)范便成為了廣州(zhou)市縣區(qu)園丁的(de)搖籃(lan)。
1999年,由(you)于(yu)中師(shi)(shi)教(jiao)育(yu)對日益發(fa)展的(de)教(jiao)育(yu)形(xing)勢的(de)不適應(ying),學校開始轉制辦高中,同(tong)年招收首屆高一新(xin)生,但為了(le)解決中師(shi)(shi)辦學的(de)歷史(shi)遺留(liu)問(wen)題,1999—2001年,同(tong)時兼辦中師(shi)(shi)和電大班。
2000年學校經(jing)市政府批準,正式(shi)更(geng)名為廣(guang)州(zhou)市白云(yun)中學,被列為白云(yun)區四所骨(gu)干高(gao)中之一。
2009年10月(yue)高一年級(ji)遷(qian)至新校區,該學年分(fen)水蔭路校區和金沙洲校區。
2010年9月學校(xiao)(xiao)整體搬遷到(dao)金沙洲校(xiao)(xiao)區(qu),水蔭(yin)路校(xiao)(xiao)區(qu)則移交給(gei)執信中學使用。
2017年(nian),廣州市白(bai)云中學(xue)作(zuo)(zuo)為市教育局(ju)統(tong)籌建設對象,開始了創建示范性高(gao)中的工(gong)作(zuo)(zuo),擬于2017年(nian)下半年(nian)提(ti)出申(shen)報。
