廣州市白云(yun)(yun)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)創辦于1960年(nian)(nian),前身是白云(yun)(yun)師范(fan)學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao),后經歷(li)五次(ci)搬遷,六易校(xiao)(xiao)名(ming),1999年(nian)(nian)轉(zhuan)制辦高(gao)中(zhong)(zhong), 2000年(nian)(nian)更名(ming)為廣州市白云(yun)(yun)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),是白云(yun)(yun)區(qu)四所(suo)骨干高(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)之一,學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)于2010年(nian)(nian)9月(yue)整體搬遷到金沙洲校(xiao)(xiao)區(qu)。學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)擬于2017年(nian)(nian)下半年(nian)(nian)申報(bao)示范(fan)性高(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)。

廣(guang)州市白云中學(xue)的(de)前(qian)身(shen)是創辦于1960年的(de)江村師(shi)范(fan)學(xue)校(xiao),校(xiao)址位(wei)于白云區(qu)蚌湖(hu)玉墟(xu)宮,設速師(shi)班2個,幼師(shi)班2個,共有(you)學(xue)生186人,教(jiao)職工23人。
1964年(nian)學校(xiao)(xiao)易名為廣州市郊區農業(ye)職業(ye)學校(xiao)(xiao),校(xiao)(xiao)址設在今九佛鎮,當年(nian)招收會計專業(ye)2個班,初級農業(ye)技術(shu)班2個,共200人,實行半(ban)農半(ban)讀。
1965年春,學校(xiao)遷(qian)至石井莘(xin)村(cun),同年夏(xia)季(ji),又(you)遷(qian)至東圃新塘鐘嶺,開設果樹(shu)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業(ye)(ye)、獸醫(yi)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業(ye)(ye)各1個班(ban),普師專(zhuan)(zhuan)業(ye)(ye)2個班(ban),速(su)成師范(fan)1個班(ban),共250人,由于增開師范(fan)專(zhuan)(zhuan)業(ye)(ye),學校(xiao)更名為廣州市農(nong)職師范(fan)學校(xiao)。
1968年(nian)至1969年(nian),學校改為普通中學,更名為廣州市110中學,校址設在現天河區東圃。
1969年經市批準,學(xue)校(xiao)又更名(ming)為廣州(zhou)市郊區師范學(xue)校(xiao)。
1969年至1972年初(chu),學(xue)(xue)校共培訓中小學(xue)(xue)教師1000多人,由于辦學(xue)(xue)規(gui)范的不斷(duan)擴大。
1972年(nian),學校遷至沙河(he)馬蹄崗,一方(fang)面(mian)繼續招收普師班(ban)(兩年(nian)制),另一方(fang)面(mian)擔負在職教(jiao)師的進修培訓(xun)任務。
1980年正式招收(shou)初中(zhong)畢業生,學制改為三年。
1983年(nian)(nian)區(qu)政府和市教育(yu)局為了進一步完善學校(xiao)辦學設施,提高(gao)辦學水平,撥款250萬元,在(zai)廣(guang)州大道中水蔭二橫路新建校(xiao)址。1984年(nian)(nian)秋,學校(xiao)遷至新址。
1987年(nian)更名為廣(guang)州市白云(yun)師范學校,招生規模擴大到18個班,并招收天河、芳(fang)村、黃埔以及從化、增城、新豐、龍門、陽(yang)江(jiang)等(deng)地新生,至此白云(yun)師范便(bian)成為了(le)廣(guang)州市縣(xian)區(qu)園(yuan)丁的搖(yao)籃。
1999年,由于中師教(jiao)育對(dui)日益發展的教(jiao)育形勢(shi)的不適(shi)應,學校開始轉制(zhi)辦(ban)高中,同年招收首(shou)屆高一新生,但(dan)為了解決中師辦(ban)學的歷(li)史(shi)遺留問題,1999—2001年,同時兼辦(ban)中師和電大班。
2000年學校經市政府批(pi)準,正式更名為(wei)廣州市白云(yun)中學,被列為(wei)白云(yun)區(qu)四所骨(gu)干高中之一。
2009年(nian)10月高一年(nian)級遷至新校(xiao)區,該學年(nian)分水蔭路校(xiao)區和金沙洲(zhou)校(xiao)區。
2010年(nian)9月學校(xiao)整體搬(ban)遷到金沙(sha)洲(zhou)校(xiao)區(qu),水蔭(yin)路(lu)校(xiao)區(qu)則移交(jiao)給執(zhi)信(xin)中學使(shi)用。
2017年,廣州市白云中學(xue)作(zuo)為市教育局(ju)統籌建設對象(xiang),開始了創建示范性高中的工作(zuo),擬于2017年下半年提(ti)出申報。
