中國古代北方白瓷窯址。位于河(he)北省曲(qu)陽縣澗(jian)磁村一(yi)帶,分布在東西狹長10余公里(li)的范圍內(nei),總面積(ji)約 10平方公里(li)。
文化堆積厚達 10多米。曲陽宋(song)屬定(ding)州,故(gu)稱定(ding)窯(yao)。定(ding)窯(yao)創燒(shao)于唐,宋(song)代(dai)極盛,元代(dai)逐漸衰落。燒(shao)瓷歷史長達六、七百年之久。1951年故(gu)宮博物(wu)院發現了定(ding)窯(yao)遺址,1951年和1957年故(gu)宮博物(wu)院陳萬里(li)、馮先銘等兩(liang)次調查。
1960年(nian)至(zhi)1962年(nian),河(he)北省(sheng)(sheng)文物工作隊對遺址進行(xing)了大規模的考古(gu)發掘,證實了窯址始于唐(tang)代后(hou)期,盛于北宋(song),元代以后(hou)逐漸衰落的歷史史實。60年(nian)代初(chu)河(he)北省(sheng)(sheng)文物工作隊在北鎮(zhen)村東試掘。
1985至1987年河北省文物(wu)研究所在北鎮村、澗磁嶺、野北村、燕川村等地(di)發掘,揭(jie)露面積(ji)近2000平方米,發現大量窯爐和(he)作坊遺(yi)(yi)跡,出土遺(yi)(yi)物(wu)標本萬余件(jian),殘片約(yue)37萬片。定窯在唐(tang)代后期受邢(xing)窯影響燒制白瓷,到了宋代逐(zhu)步(bu)成(cheng)為白瓷窯之首,是當時的瓷窯之一。
已發(fa)掘的窯(yao)爐(lu)20座,均為“饅頭(tou)窯(yao)”。窯(yao)基平(ping)面呈馬(ma)蹄形(xing),由爐(lu)門、火(huo)膛(tang)、窯(yao)床、煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)等部分(fen)組成,長度 4~8米(mi),寬(kuan)度 1.5~3米(mi)。窯(yao)體建筑材料用(yong)(yong)磚(zhuan),火(huo)膛(tang)、窯(yao)床、煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)各(ge)部用(yong)(yong)耐火(huo)磚(zhuan),內(nei)壁抹一層耐火(huo)土,窯(yao)床底面上鋪墊一層厚(hou)約10~30厘米(mi)的粗(cu)砂。各(ge)時(shi)期(qi)(qi)窯(yao)爐(lu)常以(yi)(yi)匣(xia)缽代替一部分(fen)磚(zhuan)作建造材料,北(bei)(bei)(bei)宋(song)中(zhong)(zhong)期(qi)(qi)以(yi)(yi)前用(yong)(yong)漏斗形(xing)匣(xia)缽,北(bei)(bei)(bei)宋(song)中(zhong)(zhong)晚期(qi)(qi)以(yi)(yi)后用(yong)(yong)筒形(xing)匣(xia)缽。北(bei)(bei)(bei)宋(song)早期(qi)(qi)以(yi)(yi)前窯(yao)爐(lu)以(yi)(yi)木柴作燃(ran)料,火(huo)膛(tang)中(zhong)(zhong)均發(fa)現(xian)有(you)(you)柴灰。窯(yao)爐(lu)后部有(you)(you)兩間(jian)煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi),窯(yao)床與(yu)煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)都無隔墻(qiang)(qiang)。煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)之間(jian)隔墻(qiang)(qiang)下(xia)砌有(you)(you)兩個(ge)進火(huo)孔。北(bei)(bei)(bei)宋(song)中(zhong)(zhong)期(qi)(qi)以(yi)(yi)后窯(yao)爐(lu)燃(ran)料用(yong)(yong)煤,火(huo)膛(tang)中(zhong)(zhong)均發(fa)現(xian)大量燒過(guo)的煤渣,窯(yao)床與(yu)煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)有(you)(you)固定的隔墻(qiang)(qiang),隔墻(qiang)(qiang)基部設(she)進煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)孔。北(bei)(bei)(bei)宋(song)晚期(qi)(qi)和金代窯(yao)爐(lu)的煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)一般(ban)分(fen)為三間(jian),設(she) 3個(ge)煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)囪,窯(yao)床與(yu)煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)隔墻(qiang)(qiang)基部進煙(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)孔多達9~13個(ge)。
作坊(fang)遺(yi)跡(ji)已發現4座,五代(dai)至北(bei)宋早期1座,北(bei)宋晚(wan)期至金代(dai) 3座。作坊(fang)都(dou)在(zai)窯爐附近(jin),結(jie)為一體。北(bei)宋早期作坊(fang)遺(yi)址(zhi)占(zhan)地面(mian)積(ji)約 200平方米,殘(can)存的設施有(you)盛(sheng)瓷料用(yong)的大陶缸底部(bu)19個;晚(wan)期作坊(fang)遺(yi)跡(ji)面(mian)積(ji)在(zai) 500平方米以上,保存的設施有(you)磚和匣缽(bo)壘(lei)砌的圍墻,石砌的水井,磚砌的水溝,土(tu)灶,加工瓷料的圓形碾槽(cao),堆放瓷料的土(tu)坑(keng),澄盛(sheng)瓷泥、釉料的磚池和大缸等。
唐五代(dai)產品粗細(xi)摻半,青(qing)白(bai)(bai)兼有(you)。較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)粗的瓷(ci)(ci)器(qi)胎(tai)質粗而(er)色灰,比較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)厚重,胎(tai)上一(yi)(yi)般(ban)施(shi)一(yi)(yi)層白(bai)(bai)色化妝(zhuang)土,表(biao)面(mian)施(shi)白(bai)(bai)釉(you)或(huo)青(qing)黃、褐(he)綠、黑(hei)色釉(you),有(you)的瓷(ci)(ci)碗外表(biao)施(shi)青(qing)黃、褐(he)綠、黑(hei)色釉(you),而(er)碗里面(mian)施(shi)白(bai)(bai)釉(you),施(shi)釉(you)較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)厚,多(duo)(duo)不到底(di)(di)(di)(di),常有(you)流(liu)釉(you)、積釉(you)現象。細(xi)白(bai)(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)器(qi)胎(tai)質細(xi)而(er)色白(bai)(bai),比較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)輕薄,釉(you)色潔(jie)白(bai)(bai)而(er)略泛青(qing)色。器(qi)形(xing)有(you)碗、缽(bo)、盤、盞托(tuo)、罐(guan)、壺、高(gao)足(zu)杯、三(san)(san)足(zu)爐、蓋盒、枕、鈴、瓷(ci)(ci)塑等(deng)。碗一(yi)(yi)般(ban)底(di)(di)(di)(di)心平緩(huan),多(duo)(duo)為(wei)斜直敞(chang)口(kou)、唇(chun)形(xing)口(kou)或(huo)蓮瓣形(xing)口(kou),底(di)(di)(di)(di)足(zu)有(you)平底(di)(di)(di)(di)、實足(zu)平底(di)(di)(di)(di)、玉璧形(xing)底(di)(di)(di)(di)、寬圈(quan)足(zu)和(he)圈(quan)足(zu)底(di)(di)(di)(di)等(deng)各(ge)式(shi)。執壺一(yi)(yi)般(ban)豐肩、平底(di)(di)(di)(di)、短流(liu),有(you)白(bai)(bai)釉(you)和(he)青(qing)黃釉(you)兩種。瓷(ci)(ci)枕一(yi)(yi)般(ban)比較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)短小,枕面(mian)多(duo)(duo)呈長(chang)方或(huo)橢圓(yuan)形(xing),有(you)的白(bai)(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)枕面(mian)帶褐(he)色斑紋。瓷(ci)(ci)塑多(duo)(duo)為(wei)小型白(bai)(bai)釉(you)加黑(hei)褐(he)色點彩(cai)的動物(wu)玩具。器(qi)物(wu)裝飾比較(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)簡單(dan)(dan),絕(jue)大(da)多(duo)(duo)數為(wei)素面(mian),少數用模印、貼花、劃花紋飾。裝燒(shao)器(qi)物(wu)的窯具主要有(you)碗形(xing)盒式(shi)匣缽(bo)、漏(lou)斗形(xing)匣缽(bo)、三(san)(san)角形(xing)支(zhi)墊(dian)等(deng)。細(xi)白(bai)(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)碗都用匣缽(bo)單(dan)(dan)件裝燒(shao),粗胎(tai)瓷(ci)(ci)碗用三(san)(san)角形(xing)支(zhi)墊(dian)疊(die)燒(shao),燒(shao)成后碗底(di)(di)(di)(di)露 3個(ge)支(zhi)丁(ding)痕。
北(bei)(bei)宋(song)時期(qi)(qi)一(yi)(yi)般白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)器(qi)(qi)都(dou)用(yong)(yong)優(you)良瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)泥制胎(tai)(tai),基本上(shang)(shang)不再生產(chan)(chan)(chan)需用(yong)(yong)化妝土的(de)(de)(de)粗胎(tai)(tai)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)器(qi)(qi)皿(min),青黃、褐綠(lv)、黑(hei)(hei)釉瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)器(qi)(qi)明顯(xian)減少,細(xi)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)器(qi)(qi)成(cheng)(cheng)為主(zhu)流。北(bei)(bei)宋(song)早(zao)期(qi)(qi)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)胎(tai)(tai)釉均潔白(bai)細(xi)膩(ni),器(qi)(qi)形(xing)(xing)新(xin)(xin)增有(you)凈瓶等(deng)(deng)。碗(wan)口一(yi)(yi)般為敞(chang)口或葵(kui)花(hua)式(shi)口,底(di)足大(da)(da)體只存圈足一(yi)(yi)式(shi)。裝(zhuang)飾(shi)仍較簡樸,多(duo)素面,部分器(qi)(qi)物(wu)(wu)沿(yan)用(yong)(yong)模印(yin)、貼花(hua)、劃(hua)花(hua)紋(wen)飾(shi),刻(ke)浮(fu)(fu)雕式(shi)蓮瓣紋(wen)比較流行。產(chan)(chan)(chan)品(pin)裝(zhuang)燒(shao)(shao)方法仍是匣缽(bo)仰燒(shao)(shao),基本上(shang)(shang)都(dou)用(yong)(yong)漏斗形(xing)(xing)匣缽(bo)。五代至(zhi)北(bei)(bei)宋(song)早(zao)期(qi)(qi)定窯白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)燒(shao)(shao)制日(ri)臻(zhen)成(cheng)(cheng)熟(shu),“官”、“新(xin)(xin)官”款器(qi)(qi)為這(zhe)一(yi)(yi)階段優(you)質(zhi)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)的(de)(de)(de)名(ming)作。北(bei)(bei)宋(song)中(zhong)期(qi)(qi)以(yi)后(hou)定窯優(you)良瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)料得到大(da)(da)量(liang)開發(fa),白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)產(chan)(chan)(chan)量(liang)迅速(su)增長。中(zhong)期(qi)(qi)的(de)(de)(de)碗(wan)盤(pan)等(deng)(deng)口沿(yan)一(yi)(yi)般有(you)釉,釉色微泛黃,說明當(dang)時覆燒(shao)(shao)技(ji)法尚(shang)(shang)未(wei)普及,器(qi)(qi)物(wu)(wu)造(zao)型比較精巧(qiao),執壺常(chang)用(yong)(yong)瓜棱腹、彎曲流,碗(wan)盤(pan)多(duo)呈葵(kui)瓣口形(xing)(xing)。早(zao)期(qi)(qi)流行的(de)(de)(de)花(hua)紋(wen),包括刻(ke)浮(fu)(fu)雕式(shi)蓮瓣紋(wen)明顯(xian)減少,有(you)深淺刀(dao)鋒效(xiao)果的(de)(de)(de)刻(ke)花(hua)紋(wen)飾(shi)為流行。紋(wen)樣有(you)萱草、蓮荷、龍(long)紋(wen)等(deng)(deng)。晚期(qi)(qi)的(de)(de)(de)碗(wan)盤(pan)之類圓形(xing)(xing)器(qi)(qi)物(wu)(wu)基本上(shang)(shang)都(dou)用(yong)(yong)支(zhi)圈疊(die)裝(zhuang)覆燒(shao)(shao),器(qi)(qi)物(wu)(wu)口沿(yan)無釉有(you)芒,釉色一(yi)(yi)般白(bai)中(zhong)閃黃,有(you)的(de)(de)(de)略顯(xian)灰(hui)黃。此(ci)期(qi)(qi)產(chan)(chan)(chan)品(pin)品(pin)類較多(duo), 仍以(yi)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)為主(zhu)。器(qi)(qi)形(xing)(xing)復雜,還是碗(wan)盤(pan)多(duo)。各(ge)種(zhong)常(chang)用(yong)(yong)器(qi)(qi)形(xing)(xing)往往批(pi)量(liang)很(hen)大(da)(da),即(ji)使像瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)祖之類特殊(shu)物(wu)(wu)件(jian),也(ye)有(you)成(cheng)(cheng)批(pi)出土,定窯瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)業之興(xing)旺由(you)此(ci)可(ke)(ke)見一(yi)(yi)斑。裝(zhuang)飾(shi)花(hua)紋(wen)特別講究,刻(ke)花(hua)、印(yin)花(hua)、劃(hua)花(hua)都(dou)很(hen)盛(sheng)行,刻(ke)劃(hua)花(hua)常(chang)結合使用(yong)(yong),刻(ke)工技(ji)巧(qiao)嫻熟(shu),刀(dao)法流暢自(zi)如。印(yin)花(hua)紋(wen)飾(shi)工整細(xi)致,顯(xian)得特別明快清晰。紋(wen)飾(shi)主(zhu)要有(you)龍(long)、鳳(feng)(feng)和(he)各(ge)種(zhong)花(hua)卉圖案、動(dong)植物(wu)(wu)形(xing)(xing)象等(deng)(deng)。北(bei)(bei)宋(song)中(zhong)晚期(qi)(qi)定窯創(chuang)燒(shao)(shao)成(cheng)(cheng)功的(de)(de)(de)新(xin)(xin)品(pin)種(zhong)有(you)“紫(zi)定”(醬釉)、“黑(hei)(hei)定”和(he)“綠(lv)定”,不過產(chan)(chan)(chan)量(liang)很(hen)少。新(xin)(xin)器(qi)(qi)形(xing)(xing)有(you)孩(hai)兒枕、美(mei)(mei)女(nv)枕、龍(long)鳳(feng)(feng)盤(pan)等(deng)(deng)等(deng)(deng),造(zao)型和(he)裝(zhuang)飾(shi)都(dou)很(hen)精美(mei)(mei)。此(ci)期(qi)(qi)優(you)質(zhi)白(bai)瓷(ci)(ci)(ci)以(yi)“尚(shang)(shang)藥局(ju)”、“尚(shang)(shang)食局(ju)”、“龍(long)”、“花(hua)”款器(qi)(qi)為代表。1986年(nian)在(zai)澗(jian)磁嶺(ling)發(fa)掘獲“尚(shang)(shang)藥局(ju)”器(qi)(qi)和(he)殘片(pian) 9件(jian),1985~1987年(nian)在(zai)澗(jian)磁嶺(ling)、燕川發(fa)掘獲“尚(shang)(shang)食局(ju)”器(qi)(qi)殘片(pian)27件(jian)。所有(you)“尚(shang)(shang)食局(ju)”器(qi)(qi)均出自(zi)晚期(qi)(qi)地(di)層,其(qi)年(nian)代早(zao)不會超過北(bei)(bei)宋(song)晚期(qi)(qi),大(da)(da)多(duo)數可(ke)(ke)能(neng)為金代產(chan)(chan)(chan)品(pin)。
北宋末定(ding)窯(yao)一度(du)停(ting)頓,金代恢復生產后產品仍較(jiao)精(jing)良(liang),窯(yao)址中曾出土有大定(ding)、泰(tai)和紀年的印紋陶(tao)模(mo),為鑒別(bie)金代定(ding)瓷(ci)樹立了標尺。元代定(ding)窯(yao)逐漸(jian)衰落,產品單(dan)調,胎(tai)粗釉暗。金元時期許多(duo)碗盤類器(qi)(qi)(qi)物(wu)均采用器(qi)(qi)(qi)物(wu)內底刮釉一圈疊燒方(fang)法,這是粗糙化的表現。裝(zhuang)飾也走(zou)向草率(lv),有的器(qi)(qi)(qi)物(wu)僅施(shi)黑色點畫或以(yi)墨書為飾。
定窯燒(shao)制的(de)(de)白(bai)瓷器(qi)形以碗(wan)盤居(ju)多(duo),瓷胎細膩,釉色(se)潤澤,白(bai)中略(lve)顯青黃(huang)(huang)或灰黃(huang)(huang),口沿(yan)因(yin)為(wei)覆燒(shao)而(er)不掛釉。當時已熟(shu)練掌握了(le)(le)用覆燒(shao)裝窯的(de)(de)燒(shao)制技(ji)術,大大提高(gao)了(le)(le)產量(liang)。器(qi)物(wu)內壁多(duo)用印(yin)花(hua)、刻花(hua)和劃花(hua)的(de)(de)技(ji)法裝飾花(hua)紋(wen),圖案(an)繁復而(er)嚴(yan)謹(jin),層次(ci)分明(ming),各種花(hua)卉和動物(wu)是(shi)主要的(de)(de)圖案(an)題材。北宋時期,這里(li)成為(wei)北方地區(qu)重要的(de)(de)窯場之一,為(wei)宮廷(ting)和官(guan)府(fu)燒(shao)制出(chu)大量(liang)精(jing)美的(de)(de)瓷器(qi),窯址還出(chu)土有(you)很多(duo)刻有(you)“官(guan)”、“尚食局”、“尚藥局”、“五王(wang)府(fu)”等字款的(de)(de)瓷片。為(wei)宮廷(ting)燒(shao)制的(de)(de)瓷器(qi)多(duo)飾龍鳳圖案(an),工藝極為(wei)精(jing)巧。另(ling)外(wai),窯址中還發現有(you)少量(liang)的(de)(de)黑(hei)釉、醬釉、綠釉瓷片,即(ji)文獻記載(zai)的(de)(de)“黑(hei)定”、“紫(zi)定”和“綠定”。
1988年中華人民共(gong)和(he)國國務院公布為全國重點文(wen)物保(bao)護單位。
1985年(nian)建立曲(qu)陽縣定窯遺址(zhi)保護管(guan)理所(suo),負責遺址(zhi)的保護和管(guan)理工作,對發現的重(zhong)要遺跡采取了保護措施。
其器形(xing)(xing)、紋(wen)飾及覆(fu)燒技法對各地瓷(ci)窯影響較大,形(xing)(xing)成(cheng)了一個以定(ding)窯為主的定(ding)窯瓷(ci)系。其產(chan)品(pin)遠銷海外(wai),在瓷(ci)器發展(zhan)史(shi)上(shang)占有重要(yao)地位。
澗磁村(cun)定窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)在宋代是北方(fang)(fang)重要的瓷器窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)場,對(dui)各地(di)瓷窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)技術(shu)的發(fa)展有著(zhu)巨大(da)的影響,河北、山(shan)西(xi),甚至江南各省都(dou)紛(fen)紛(fen)仿效(xiao),從而形成了以定窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)為主(zhu)的定窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)體系。現(xian)已發(fa)現(xian)屬(shu)于定窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)系的瓷窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao)有河北臨城(cheng)窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao),北京龍泉(quan)務窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao),山(shan)西(xi)平(ping)定、介休、長(chang)治、太原(yuan)、榆次、河津、孟(meng)縣(xian)、交城(cheng)、陽城(cheng)、霍縣(xian)等(deng)地(di)的瓷窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao),江南地(di)區有景德鎮、吉安(an)等(deng)窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao),此外采(cai)用(yong)覆燒(shao)方(fang)(fang)法燒(shao)青白瓷的瓷窯(yao)(yao)(yao)(yao),在浙(zhe)江、福建、湖北、湖南等(deng)省也都(dou)有很多發(fa)現(xian)。
