這部作品以(yi)吳(wu)(wu)(wu)越(yue)爭霸為(wei)歷史背景,吳(wu)(wu)(wu)優而越(yue)劣,勾(gou)踐為(wei)擊(ji)敗夫差,采用(yong)了(le)(le)(le)(le)范(fan)蠡的(de)(de)計策,就在(zai)接(jie)近(jin)成(cheng)功(gong)時,在(zai)鑄(zhu)劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)和劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)術(shu)上遇到了(le)(le)(le)(le)挫(cuo)折。吳(wu)(wu)(wu)國(guo)劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)士不但劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)利術(shu)精,且善(shan)用(yong)兵法,越(yue)人不敵(di)。而此時出現(xian)的(de)(de)放羊女阿(a)青(qing)(qing)卻(que)輕易(yi)地擊(ji)敗了(le)(le)(le)(le)吳(wu)(wu)(wu)國(guo)四劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)士,范(fan)蠡以(yi)之為(wei)奇,將阿(a)青(qing)(qing)接(jie)到府邸,終(zhong)于使越(yue)國(guo)劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)士觀摩到了(le)(le)(le)(le)“神劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)”的(de)(de)影(ying)子。就憑這“神劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)”的(de)(de)影(ying)子,越(yue)國(guo)的(de)(de)劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)術(shu)已是天下無(wu)敵(di)了(le)(le)(le)(le)!另一(yi)(yi)方面,在(zai)薛燭的(de)(de)指點下,越(yue)國(guo)也造(zao)出了(le)(le)(le)(le)利劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)千萬,條件(jian)成(cheng)熟,勾(gou)踐早(zao)已按耐不住,終(zhong)于大破(po)吳(wu)(wu)(wu)軍(jun)。而在(zai)范(fan)蠡的(de)(de)心中,攻(gong)破(po)吳(wu)(wu)(wu)國(guo)并不是唯一(yi)(yi)的(de)(de)目(mu)的(de)(de),他(ta)更(geng)想(xiang)見到被獻給夫差的(de)(de)美(mei)女西(xi)施。當(dang)兩人見面時,阿(a)青(qing)(qing)出現(xian)了(le)(le)(le)(le),因為(wei)她已經喜歡上了(le)(le)(le)(le)范(fan)蠡,并以(yi)劍(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)氣傷了(le)(le)(le)(le)西(xi)施。但最終(zhong)因西(xi)施的(de)(de)美(mei)貌而黯(an)然(ran)離去……

歷史傳說
關于(yu)越女劍的(de)傳說(shuo)悠(you)遠,散(san)見(jian)于(yu)正史和野編,最早(zao)、最詳(xiang)盡的(de)記(ji)載(zai)是東(dong)漢趙曄(ye)的(de)《吳越春(chun)秋》,在后(hou)來的(de)《藝文類聚》及(ji)《劍俠傳》中亦(yi)有記(ji)載(zai),小(xiao)說(shuo)《東(dong)周列(lie)國志(zhi)演義》中也有。
《吳越(yue)春秋》中(zhong)有這(zhe)樣的記載:
“其時越(yue)(yue)王又問相國范蠡曰:‘孤有報復之(zhi)謀,水戰則(ze)乘(cheng)舟,陸行則(ze)乘(cheng)輿。輿舟之(zhi)利,頓于兵弩。今子為寡(gua)人(ren)(ren)謀事,莫不(bu)謬者(zhe)乎?’范蠡對(dui)曰:‘臣聞古之(zhi)圣人(ren)(ren),莫不(bu)習(xi)戰用兵。然(ran)行陣、隊伍、軍鼓之(zhi)事,吉(ji)兇決在其工(gong)。今聞越(yue)(yue)有處女(nv)(nv),出(chu)于南林(是指(zhi)古歙(she)縣的(de)南鄉地區,主峰(feng)擱船尖,這里一直有傳說(shuo)36把(ba)越(yue)(yue)女(nv)(nv)劍,又稱(cheng)(cheng)36把(ba)徽劍),國人(ren)(ren)稱(cheng)(cheng)善。愿王請之(zhi),立(li)可見。’越(yue)(yue)王乃使使聘之(zhi),問以劍戟(ji)之(zhi)術。
“處女(nv)將北(bei)見(jian)于(yu)王(wang),道逢(feng)一翁,自稱曰‘袁(yuan)公(gong)’,問(wen)于(yu)處女(nv)曰:吾聞子善劍,愿一見(jian)之(zhi)。’女(nv)曰:‘妾不敢(gan)多所隱,惟公(gong)試之(zhi)。’于(yu)是袁(yuan)公(gong)即杖箖箊(yu)(竹(zhu)名(ming))竹(zhu),竹(zhu)枝上(shang)頡橋(向上(shang)勁挑),未(wei)墮(duo)地(di)(‘未(wei)’應作‘末(mo)’,竹(zhu)梢折而(er)跌落),女(nv)即捷(jie)末(mo)(‘捷(jie)’應作‘接’,接住竹(zhu)梢)。袁(yuan)公(gong)則飛上(shang)樹,變為白猿,遂別去。
“見越王。越王問(wen)曰(yue):‘夫劍之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道如(ru)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)何?’女(nv)曰(yue):‘妾生(sheng)深(shen)林之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中,長于(yu)無人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)野(ye),無道不(bu)習,不(bu)達諸(zhu)侯,竊好(hao)擊(ji)劍之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道,誦之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)休。妾非受(shou)于(yu)人(ren)也,而忽(hu)自有之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。’越王曰(yue):‘其(qi)道如(ru)何?’女(nv)曰(yue):‘其(qi)道甚(shen)微(wei)而易,其(qi)意甚(shen)幽而深(shen)。道有門戶,亦有陰陽。開門閉戶,陰衰陽興。凡手戰(zhan)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道,內實精神,外示安儀。見之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)似好(hao)婦,奪(duo)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)似懼(ju)虎(hu)(看上去(qu)好(hao)像(xiang)溫柔的(de)女(nv)子,一(yi)受(shou)攻(gong)擊(ji),立刻便如(ru)受(shou)到威脅的(de)猛虎(hu)那樣,作(zuo)出迅速強(qiang)烈的(de)反應)。布形(xing)候氣(qi),與神俱往。杳之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)若(ruo)日,偏如(ru)騰(teng)兔,追形(xing)逐影,光若(ruo)仿佛,呼吸往來,不(bu)及法禁(jin),縱橫逆順,直復不(bu)聞。斯道者,一(yi)人(ren)當百,百人(ren)當萬。王欲(yu)試(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),其(qi)驗即見。’越王即加女(nv)號,號曰(yue)‘越女(nv)’。乃命五板之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)墮(‘墮’應作(zuo)‘隊’)高(‘高’是人(ren)名,高隊長)習之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)教軍士,當世莫勝(sheng)越女(nv)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)劍。”
《劍俠傳》則說:“袁公即挽(wan)林杪之(zhi)竹似桔槔(gao),末(mo)折地,女接其末(mo)。公操(cao)其本(ben)而刺女。女因舉(ju)杖(zhang)擊之(zhi),公即上樹,化為(wei)白(bai)猿。”
“桔槔”是井上(shang)汲水(shui)的(de)滑車(che),當是從《吳越春秋》中(zhong)“頡橋”兩(liang)字化(hua)出來的(de),形容袁公使動竹(zhu)枝時的(de)靈動。
越(yue)(yue)國(guo)(guo)的(de)謀臣范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li),原為(wei)楚(chu)國(guo)(guo)人(ren)(ren),字(zi)少(shao)伯,出仕越(yue)(yue)國(guo)(guo)為(wei)大夫(fu)(fu)(fu)。吳(wu)越(yue)(yue)夫(fu)(fu)(fu)椒之戰,越(yue)(yue)國(guo)(guo)大敗,退(tui)保會(hui)稽(今浙江紹(shao)興(xing))。范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)獻(xian)計(ji)越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang),卑身厚賂(包括(kuo)獻(xian)出美女(nv)西(xi)(xi)施和(he)(he)鄭旦)向吳(wu)求和(he)(he),自(zi)己也陪同越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang)勾踐(jian)(jian)至吳(wu)為(wei)人(ren)(ren)質,終于(yu)迷惑吳(wu)王(wang)(wang),放虎歸(gui)山。歸(gui)國(guo)(guo)后(hou)(hou),范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)與(yu)大夫(fu)(fu)(fu)文(wen)(wen)(wen)種協力(li)治國(guo)(guo),加強戰備,公元前(qian)473年,越(yue)(yue)兵(bing)破吳(wu),迫使夫(fu)(fu)(fu)差(cha)(cha)自(zi)殺(sha),越(yue)(yue)國(guo)(guo)因此強盛(sheng)。勾踐(jian)(jian)稱霸后(hou)(hou),范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)辭官歸(gui)隱至齊國(guo)(guo),曾任齊相。據說他(ta)善于(yu)經(jing)營,積財(cai)千萬,成(cheng)了大富翁,號陶朱公。范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)歸(gui)隱后(hou)(hou)曾寫(xie)信(xin)給大夫(fu)(fu)(fu)文(wen)(wen)(wen)種,提醒他(ta)“飛鳥盡(jin),良弓藏;狡兔死,走(zou)狗烹(peng)”他(ta)認為(wei)越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang)勾踐(jian)(jian)只可(ke)共患(huan)難,不(bu)(bu)可(ke)共安樂,勸文(wen)(wen)(wen)種也離開勾踐(jian)(jian),功成(cheng)身退(tui)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)種沒(mei)有聽從范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)的(de)勸告(gao)。后(hou)(hou)來勾踐(jian)(jian)聽信(xin)讒言,令文(wen)(wen)(wen)種自(zi)殺(sha)。文(wen)(wen)(wen)種嘆曰:“我(wo)懊悔沒(mei)有聽范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)的(de)話(hua),才(cai)遭到(dao)這樣的(de)下場!”后(hou)(hou)人(ren)(ren)為(wei)越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang)辯曰:范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)文(wen)(wen)(wen)種之所(suo)以不(bu)(bu)見容于(yu)勾踐(jian)(jian),并不(bu)(bu)是由于(yu)“可(ke)以共患(huan)難,不(bu)(bu)可(ke)以共富貴”,要知道勾踐(jian)(jian)乃王(wang)(wang)霸之才(cai),且正是大展(zhan)宏圖,用人(ren)(ren)之時(shi)怎么會(hui)殺(sha)自(zi)己的(de)得力(li)干將呢?當時(shi)越(yue)(yue)已(yi)吞吳(wu)之地,欲(yu)向北爭霸擴(kuo)疆,第一個對手便是楚(chu)國(guo)(guo)(越(yue)(yue)衰時(shi)曾被楚(chu)盡(jin)奪(duo)浙西(xi)(xi)之地),而范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)和(he)(he)文(wen)(wen)(wen)種皆為(wei)楚(chu)人(ren)(ren),所(suo)以勾踐(jian)(jian)不(bu)(bu)能信(xin)任他(ta)們。美女(nv)西(xi)(xi)施亦稱西(xi)(xi)子(zi),越(yue)(yue)國(guo)(guo)人(ren)(ren),家住苧蘿(今浙江諸(zhu)暨南(nan))浣紗(sha)村西(xi)(xi)。越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang)勾踐(jian)(jian)從范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)施美人(ren)(ren)計(ji),獻(xian)西(xi)(xi)施于(yu)吳(wu)王(wang)(wang)夫(fu)(fu)(fu)差(cha)(cha),在吳(wu)王(wang)(wang)宮中極受寵愛,同時(shi)的(de)美女(nv)鄭旦卻不(bu)(bu)見經(jing)傳(chuan)。吳(wu)亡后(hou)(hou),有說她(ta)被越(yue)(yue)王(wang)(wang)“沉于(yu)江”,有說她(ta)與(yu)范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)駕(jia)扁舟(zhou)入(ru)五湖(即今太湖)隱居,也有民(min)間傳(chuan)說,他(ta)們隱居到(dao)了古山越(yue)(yue)腹地---神山 擱船尖的(de)“石門九不(bu)(bu)鎖”,不(bu)(bu)知所(suo)終。范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)在無錫留下了不(bu)(bu)少(shao)傳(chuan)說,在無錫有好多地名(ming)與(yu)范(fan)(fan)(fan)蠡(li)有關(guan),如(ru)蠡(li)河、蠡(li)橋、蠡(li)園、罵蠡(li)港橋(現已(yi)改名(ming)為(wei)馬(ma)蠡(li)港橋)等。
