許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(1888—1969),出生(sheng)于廣東(dong)廣州,中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)近(jin)代(dai)著名政(zheng)治(zhi)家、教育家,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)智堂弟。早(zao)年赴日本留學(xue),在日本留學(xue)時期,便(bian)從事反對滿清(qing)封建統治(zhi)的(de)(de)革(ge)(ge)命活動,由宋教仁先(xian)生(sheng)介紹加(jia)入(ru)(ru)孫(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山先(xian)生(sheng)領(ling)導的(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)同盟(meng)會(hui),曾休學(xue)回(hui)國(guo)(guo)參加(jia)辛亥革(ge)(ge)命。1923許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)由廖(liao)(liao)仲愷先(xian)生(sheng)介紹加(jia)入(ru)(ru)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)民(min)黨(dang),受到孫(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山先(xian)生(sheng)和廖(liao)(liao)仲愷先(xian)生(sheng)的(de)(de)信(xin)任,指派許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)參加(jia)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)民(min)黨(dang)的(de)(de)改(gai)組(zu)工作(zuo)。《中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)民(min)黨(dang)第一次全(quan)國(guo)(guo)代(dai)表(biao)大會(hui)宣言》許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)是負(fu)責(ze)起草人之一。孫(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山先(xian)生(sheng)在確定中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)民(min)黨(dang)聯俄聯共政(zheng)策的(de)(de)過程中(zhong)(zhong),許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)盡(jin)力襄助。廖(liao)(liao)承志同志稱譽許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)是“歷史的(de)(de)見證人”。
1925年孫中(zhong)山先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)因病逝世,國(guo)民政(zheng)府決定籌辦國(guo)立中(zhong)山大(da)學(xue),許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)是籌備委員。在(zai)國(guo)共第(di)一次合作(zuo)(zuo)的(de)大(da)革命時期,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)與中(zhong)國(guo)共產黨(dang)人(ren)(ren)密切合作(zuo)(zuo),積極進行教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)改革。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)明確提(ti)出反(fan)帝反(fan)封建的(de)教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)任(ren)務;強(qiang)調教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)與革命實踐(jian)及國(guo)家建設的(de)聯系,教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)方(fang)針應與革命的(de)政(zheng)策相一致。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)以驚人(ren)(ren)的(de)革命膽略做(zuo)了兩件大(da)事(shi),在(zai)中(zhong)國(guo)現(xian)代教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)史(shi)上,寫下光(guang)輝的(de)篇章。一是在(zai)1924年,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)擔任(ren)廣東省教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)廳(ting)廳(ting)長(chang)期間,發起(qi)收(shou)回教(jiao)會學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)外國(guo)人(ren)(ren)管理權及禁止(zhi)在(zai)學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)內(nei)傳(chuan)教(jiao)的(de)運動,影響(xiang)遍及全(quan)國(guo);二(er)是1933年至(zhi)1934年,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)重任(ren)廣東省教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)廳(ting)廳(ting)長(chang),陳濟(ji)棠鼓吹封建道(dao)德,強(qiang)制各級(ji)學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)講授《孝經》,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)堅決反(fan)對所謂封建道(dao)德,在(zai)華南(nan)地(di)(di)區引起(qi)強(qiang)烈的(de)反(fan)響(xiang),得(de)到廣大(da)教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)界(jie)和青年學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)的(de)熱(re)烈擁護。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)是華南(nan)地(di)(di)區教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)界(jie)一面光(guang)輝的(de)旗幟。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)精通多國(guo)文字,是最早將愛因斯坦相對論介(jie)紹到中(zhong)國(guo)的(de)學(xue)者(zhe)。
許(xu)崇(chong)清先生忠誠孫中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)先生的事業(ye)和(he)政策,堅持(chi)進(jin)步(bu)方向,盡其力(li)(li)所能及做有益(yi)于人(ren)(ren)的工(gong)作。許(xu)崇(chong)清多(duo)次(ci)主(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)持(chi)廣(guang)東省教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)行政工(gong)作,積極倡導工(gong)人(ren)(ren)識字教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu),開(kai)拓(tuo)鄉村教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)和(he)社(she)會(hui)(hui)教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu),發展師范教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)和(he)職業(ye)技術教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)。抗戰(zhan)開(kai)始(shi)時(shi)(shi),實施戰(zhan)時(shi)(shi)教(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu),成績卓(zhuo)著。許(xu)崇(chong)清先生在建國(guo)(guo)(guo)前(qian)曾兩(liang)(liang)次(ci)擔(dan)任(ren)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)(chang),都受(shou)到反對力(li)(li)量的排斥。1931年(nian)(nian)九一(yi)(yi)八事變爆發后,全國(guo)(guo)(guo)各地抗日愛國(guo)(guo)(guo)運動(dong)(dong)高(gao)漲,許(xu)崇(chong)清主(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)張抗日,同情中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)生愛國(guo)(guo)(guo)運動(dong)(dong),為(wei)西南軍閥所不滿,被調離校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)(chang)職務。1940年(nian)(nian)許(xu)崇(chong)清接(jie)任(ren)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)代(dai)理(li)(li)校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)(chang),主(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)持(chi)將中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)由(you)云南澂江(jiang)遷回粵北坪石(shi)的艱巨任(ren)務,為(wei)華南地區(qu)人(ren)(ren)才(cai)培養立下功勞。國(guo)(guo)(guo)民黨(dang)特務分子密告他(ta)“引用異(yi)黨(dang),危害(hai)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)”,1941年(nian)(nian)7月被免去代(dai)理(li)(li)校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)(chang)職務。許(xu)崇(chong)清兩(liang)(liang)次(ci)擔(dan)任(ren)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)校(xiao)(xiao)長(chang)(chang)時(shi)(shi)間雖不長(chang)(chang),但由(you)于許(xu)崇(chong)清對學(xue)(xue)(xue)生愛國(guo)(guo)(guo)運動(dong)(dong)態度(du)開(kai)明,既(ji)能尊重(zhong)人(ren)(ren)才(cai),大(da)(da)(da)(da)力(li)(li)迎(ying)攬知名學(xue)(xue)(xue)者(zhe),提倡學(xue)(xue)(xue)術研(yan)究(jiu),又(you)親自講(jiang)授(shou)辯證唯物主(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)義與歷史唯物主(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)義,在中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)開(kai)拓(tuo)了(le)進(jin)步(bu)自由(you)的風(feng)氣(qi),因而影響是深遠的。如1931年(nian)(nian)許(xu)崇(chong)清在中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)文(wen)學(xue)(xue)(xue)院增設社(she)會(hui)(hui)學(xue)(xue)(xue)系,何思敬、周(zhou)谷(gu)城、胡體(ti)乾、鄧初民、肖(xiao)雋英等先后來該系任(ren)教(jiao);1940年(nian)(nian)許(xu)崇(chong)清聘(pin)請了(le)王(wang)亞南、李達(da)、洪深等一(yi)(yi)批(pi)進(jin)步(bu)教(jiao)授(shou)來中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)任(ren)教(jiao),對華南地區(qu)青年(nian)(nian)一(yi)(yi)代(dai)的培養,推動(dong)(dong)進(jin)步(bu)文(wen)化的發展,起了(le)重(zhong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)的作用。
在(zai)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)共第二(er)次合作(zuo)(zuo)抗日戰(zhan)(zhan)爭期間,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清先生的政治態度是(shi)鮮(xian)明和(he)堅定(ding)的。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清贊成(cheng)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)共產黨抗日民(min)(min)族統一(yi)戰(zhan)(zhan)線的主(zhu)張(zhang)(zhang),擁護(hu)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)共兩黨團結(jie)(jie)合作(zuo)(zuo)、抗日救國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清主(zhu)張(zhang)(zhang)實(shi)行(xing)(xing)政治民(min)(min)主(zhu),堅持進步(bu),是(shi)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)黨進步(bu)力量的一(yi)位代表人(ren)物,得(de)到中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)共產黨人(ren)和(he)愛(ai)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)主(zhu)人(ren)士的尊敬和(he)支持。1941年7月(yue)許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清懷著對(dui)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)黨頑(wan)固派(pai)十(shi)分憤(fen)慨的心(xin)情(qing)離開坪石回到韶關,繼續主(zhu)持第七戰(zhan)(zhan)區編纂委員會工作(zuo)(zuo)。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清專心(xin)從事教育(yu)哲學的研究(jiu)。他十(shi)分重(zhong)視學習毛(mao)澤東同志的《新民(min)(min)主(zhu)主(zhu)義(yi)論》。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清依靠中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)共產黨黨員和(he)進步(bu)文(wen)(wen)化工作(zuo)(zuo)者,出版了(le)《新建設》、《教育(yu)新時代》、《陣中(zhong)文(wen)(wen)匯》和(he)《學園》四份刊物,成(cheng)立新建設出版社,印(yin)刷發(fa)行(xing)(xing)進步(bu)書籍,向廣大知識分子(zi)、青年學生和(he)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)黨軍(jun)隊(dui)宣(xuan)傳(chuan)抗戰(zhan)(zhan),宣(xuan)傳(chuan)民(min)(min)主(zhu)團結(jie)(jie),宣(xuan)傳(chuan)孫中(zhong)山先生革命(ming)三(san)民(min)(min)主(zhu)義(yi)的要旨(zhi),介紹馬(ma)克思主(zhu)義(yi)教育(yu)哲學,對(dui)當時華(hua)南地區的抗戰(zhan)(zhan)工作(zuo)(zuo)、民(min)(min)主(zhu)運動和(he)馬(ma)克思主(zhu)義(yi)的啟(qi)蒙教育(yu),起了(le)很好的作(zuo)(zuo)用。在(zai)中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)民(min)(min)黨右派(pai)實(shi)行(xing)(xing)文(wen)(wen)化禁錮(gu)的荒漠地區,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)清先生是(shi)南中(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)的文(wen)(wen)化旗(qi)手。
1945年抗日(ri)戰(zhan)爭勝利后,許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)繼續(xu)在(zai)(zai)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大學(xue)任(ren)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao),并擔任(ren)江蘇社(she)會教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)學(xue)院(yuan)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)授。許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)堅(jian)持講(jiang)授辯證唯物主(zhu)義的(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)哲學(xue)和(he)(he)(he)哲學(xue)概論。他(ta)對國(guo)民(min)(min)(min)政(zheng)府的(de)(de)法西斯政(zheng)策(ce)和(he)(he)(he)發動內(nei)戰(zhan)十分(fen)不滿,撰文抨擊(ji)獨(du)裁(cai)專制(zhi),呼吁(yu)實(shi)行(xing)政(zheng)治民(min)(min)(min)主(zhu)。許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)同情(qing)(qing)和(he)(he)(he)支持中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)共(gong)產(chan)黨(dang)領導(dao)的(de)(de)愛(ai)國(guo)民(min)(min)(min)主(zhu)學(xue)生(sheng)運(yun)動,被國(guo)民(min)(min)(min)黨(dang)特務(wu)密告,1949年初,許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)離(li)開廣州(zhou)出走香港。在(zai)(zai)香港期間(jian),他(ta)努力學(xue)習中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)共(gong)產(chan)黨(dang)的(de)(de)方針政(zheng)策(ce),深(shen)入(ru)研(yan)究馬克思(si)主(zhu)義教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)理論,發表有獨(du)立見解的(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)論文,為迎(ying)接新(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)的(de)(de)誕(dan)生(sheng)、新(xin)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)事業(ye)的(de)(de)建(jian)設進行(xing)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)理論的(de)(de)準(zhun)備。1949年10月,許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)在(zai)(zai)港九教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)工(gong)作者慶祝中(zhong)(zhong)華人(ren)民(min)(min)(min)共(gong)和(he)(he)(he)國(guo)成立的(de)(de)大會上,熱情(qing)(qing)號召華南教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)工(gong)作者“堅(jian)決和(he)(he)(he)人(ren)民(min)(min)(min)結合在(zai)(zai)一起,為建(jian)設統一、獨(du)立、繁(fan)榮(rong)、民(min)(min)(min)主(zhu)的(de)(de)新(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)而斗(dou)爭”。廣州(zhou)解放后,許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生(sheng)回到(dao)廣州(zhou),受(shou)到(dao)黨(dang)和(he)(he)(he)人(ren)民(min)(min)(min)政(zheng)府的(de)(de)熱烈歡迎(ying)。1951年,許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)重新(xin)回到(dao)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)大學(xue)擔任(ren)校長(chang)。許崇(chong)(chong)清(qing)深(shen)情(qing)(qing)地說:“我國(guo)的(de)(de)文教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)事業(ye)真正是培育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)人(ren)才,發展(zhan)學(xue)術的(de)(de)事業(ye)。我獻身(shen)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)的(de)(de)宿(su)愿,才真正得到(dao)實(shi)現。”
許崇(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生為提(ti)高(gao)祖國(guo)人(ren)民文化教育(yu)水平,培養人(ren)才(cai),貢獻出畢(bi)生的精力。他德高(gao)望重,桃李(li)遍天下。許崇(chong)清(qing)先(xian)生的一生是光輝(hui)的一生。
1949年后,許崇(chong)清先(xian)生參加廣州大(da)學(xue)的(de)接管工作,1951年1月起擔任中山(shan)(shan)大(da)學(xue)校長。他為中國社會主義高(gao)等(deng)(deng)教育(yu)事(shi)業(ye)奮斗了(le)二十年,為中山(shan)(shan)大(da)學(xue)的(de)改革和(he)發(fa)展,作出了(le)重大(da)的(de)貢獻。許崇(chong)清是新中國高(gao)等(deng)(deng)教育(yu)事(shi)業(ye)的(de)奠基人之一(yi)。
1951年1月中(zhong)央人(ren)民(min)(min)政(zheng)府政(zheng)務(wu)院任(ren)命許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)先生(sheng)為(wei)中(zhong)山大學(xue)(xue)(xue)校長,馮(feng)乃(nai)超(chao)同志為(wei)副校長。許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)、馮(feng)乃(nai)超(chao)兩位校長,在中(zhong)國(guo)文化教育界(jie)學(xue)(xue)(xue)術界(jie)享有崇(chong)高的(de)聲(sheng)望,全(quan)(quan)校師生(sheng)員工歡欣鼓舞,海內外愛國(guo)人(ren)士和校友也(ye)都深慶中(zhong)山大學(xue)(xue)(xue)得人(ren)。許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)、馮(feng)乃(nai)超(chao)兩位校長努(nu)力(li)貫徹黨和人(ren)民(min)(min)政(zheng)府的(de)方針政(zheng)策,團結全(quan)(quan)校師生(sheng)員工,穩定教學(xue)(xue)(xue)秩序,進(jin)行調整、改革,順(shun)利完成了院校調整的(de)任(ren)務(wu),為(wei)學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)的(de)進(jin)步(bu)和發(fa)展奠定了基礎。
許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)操勞奮斗到(dao)最后(hou)一(yi)(yi)息,他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)的(de)辦(ban)學(xue)(xue)(xue)思想和負責(ze)精神,是我們(men)學(xue)(xue)(xue)習(xi)的(de)榜(bang)樣。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)懷著獻身人(ren)民(min)教育事業(ye)的(de)心愿回(hui)到(dao)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)。由于(yu)許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清非(fei)常尊敬孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)對(dui)(dui)孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)親手創辦(ban)的(de)和紀(ji)念(nian)(nian)孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)這所大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue),有深厚(hou)的(de)感情。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清以高(gao)度(du)的(de)責(ze)任感,決心一(yi)(yi)定(ding)要將(jiang)(jiang)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)辦(ban)好(hao)。許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)常談(tan)起孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)創辦(ban)廣東(dong)大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)的(de)歷史背景(jing)和他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)當年(nian)參加籌備中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)大(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)的(de)情況。他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)還記(ji)得文明路(lu)舊校區禮堂上(shang)的(de)一(yi)(yi)副對(dui)(dui)聯:“把世界(jie)文化迎頭(tou)趕上(shang)去,把中(zhong)(zhong)華民(min)族從(cong)根(gen)救起來(lai)。”許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清說(shuo),這就是我們(men)辦(ban)校的(de)目(mu)的(de)和辦(ban)學(xue)(xue)(xue)方向(xiang)(xiang)。他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)經常勉勵青年(nian)學(xue)(xue)(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)向(xiang)(xiang)孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)學(xue)(xue)(xue)習(xi)。1956年(nian),許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清在孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)誕辰九十周年(nian)紀(ji)念(nian)(nian)會(hui)上(shang),宣(xuan)讀宋慶(qing)齡副委員長(chang)的(de)紀(ji)念(nian)(nian)文章《孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)——中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)人(ren)民(min)偉大(da)(da)的(de)革(ge)命的(de)兒子》。他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)說(shuo):“紀(ji)念(nian)(nian)孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),我們(men)要發揚他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)忠(zhong)于(yu)革(ge)命、忠(zhong)于(yu)真理的(de)革(ge)命精神,學(xue)(xue)(xue)習(xi)他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)熱愛祖(zu)國(guo)(guo)熱愛人(ren)民(min)和對(dui)(dui)革(ge)命事業(ye)的(de)不(bu)變的(de)熱誠。”他(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)要求全校師生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)員工互相(xiang)勉勵,共同(tong)努力,為(wei)(wei)培養千千萬(wan)萬(wan)的(de)忠(zhong)誠于(yu)社(she)(she)會(hui)主義祖(zu)國(guo)(guo)的(de)人(ren)才(cai),為(wei)(wei)發展社(she)(she)會(hui)主義文化科(ke)學(xue)(xue)(xue)而(er)奮斗。由于(yu)許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清的(de)建議,學(xue)(xue)(xue)校決定(ding)將(jiang)(jiang)校慶(qing)改為(wei)(wei)11月(yue)12日——孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)誕辰日。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校決定(ding)成立孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)紀(ji)念(nian)(nian)館,許(xu)(xu)崇(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)(chong)清指示將(jiang)(jiang)孫(sun)(sun)(sun)中(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)先(xian)(xian)(xian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)研究列為(wei)(wei)我校科(ke)研的(de)重點。
1952年全國(guo)進行院校(xiao)(xiao)調(diao)整(zheng),廣州原(yuan)有(you)大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)專(zhuan)院校(xiao)(xiao)調(diao)整(zheng)為(wei)一(yi)所綜合大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue),四所專(zhuan)門學(xue)(xue)(xue)院,中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)成(cheng)為(wei)文理科(ke)綜合大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)。院校(xiao)(xiao)調(diao)整(zheng)后的(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue),原(yuan)來(lai)的(de)(de)總體規模(mo)縮小了(le),學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)結構改變了(le);原(yuan)來(lai)文理兩(liang)所學(xue)(xue)(xue)院的(de)(de)重要學(xue)(xue)(xue)科(ke)如(ru)哲學(xue)(xue)(xue)、語言(yan)、人(ren)類(lei)、天文、地質等(deng)系(xi)被調(diao)出,物理、數學(xue)(xue)(xue)、化學(xue)(xue)(xue)等(deng)系(xi)的(de)(de)教師(shi)調(diao)出過多,學(xue)(xue)(xue)制又從四年改為(wei)五年,師(shi)資不足,教學(xue)(xue)(xue)任務十分艱(jian)巨。許崇清、馮(feng)乃超兩(liang)位(wei)(wei)校(xiao)(xiao)長認(ren)為(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)是有(you)國(guo)際地位(wei)(wei)的(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue),院校(xiao)(xiao)調(diao)整(zheng),中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)被大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)削弱了(le)。他們認(ren)為(wei)各個大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)都(dou)有(you)良好(hao)的(de)(de)傳統,都(dou)應該(gai)保(bao)存下來(lai)。中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)應該(gai)發(fa)展(zhan),發(fa)揮更大(da)(da)(da)(da)(da)的(de)(de)作用。面(mian)對著(zhu)院校(xiao)(xiao)調(diao)整(zheng)后的(de)(de)種種困難,許崇清、馮(feng)乃超兩(liang)位(wei)(wei)校(xiao)(xiao)長團結全校(xiao)(xiao)師(shi)生員工,艱(jian)苦(ku)創(chuang)業。有(you)一(yi)段時(shi)間,馮(feng)乃超同志身體不好(hao),離校(xiao)(xiao)療養,許崇清先(xian)生肩(jian)負重擔,埋(mai)頭苦(ku)干,保(bao)證了(le)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)教學(xue)(xue)(xue)計劃的(de)(de)實施,并開拓了(le)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)專(zhuan)業設置和科(ke)研的(de)(de)新局面(mian)。
許(xu)崇(chong)清先生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)十分重(zhong)視蘇聯的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)經驗,但他主張要(yao)從(cong)中國的(de)(de)(de)實際(ji)出發(fa),吸收有(you)益(yi)的(de)(de)(de)部分,不能機(ji)械(xie)照搬。1955年和(he)1956年,高教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)部召開校(xiao)(xiao)院(yuan)長和(he)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)務(wu)長會(hui)議(yi)。當時全(quan)國高校(xiao)(xiao)反映學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)學(xue)習(xi)負(fu)(fu)擔(dan)(dan)過(guo)重(zhong),體質下降;有(you)不少學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)出現機(ji)械(xie)照搬蘇聯的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)方法的(de)(de)(de)情況(kuang)。許(xu)崇(chong)清校(xiao)(xiao)長在(zai)會(hui)上(shang)結合中山大學(xue)的(de)(de)(de)實際(ji)情況(kuang),提(ti)出了(le)(le)(le)改革(ge)意見。許(xu)崇(chong)清認為(wei)學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)學(xue)習(xi)負(fu)(fu)擔(dan)(dan)過(guo)重(zhong),健(jian)康下降,違背德、智、體全(quan)面發(fa)展(zhan)的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)方針,應(ying)該調整(zheng)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)計劃,精簡課(ke)程(cheng),改進教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)材(cai)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)法,改變(bian)“背學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)過(guo)河”的(de)(de)(de)現象,培養學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)實際(ji)工作能力(li)和(he)首創精神。許(xu)崇(chong)清回校(xiao)(xiao)后(hou),主持會(hui)議(yi)要(yao)求各系修訂(ding)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)計劃,精簡課(ke)程(cheng),改進教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)內容方法,同時,加(jia)強對學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)體育(yu)(yu)鍛(duan)煉和(he)文藝活(huo)動的(de)(de)(de)指(zhi)導,從(cong)而(er)保證(zheng)了(le)(le)(le)學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)健(jian)康,并提(ti)高了(le)(le)(le)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)質量。他要(yao)求各系自編教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)材(cai),改變(bian)完全(quan)采用蘇聯教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)材(cai)的(de)(de)(de)做(zuo)法。他積極(ji)推(tui)動學(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)的(de)(de)(de)科(ke)學(xue)研(yan)究工作,認為(wei)這是提(ti)高教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)學(xue)術水平,提(ti)高教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)質量的(de)(de)(de)主要(yao)途(tu)徑;教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)(de)科(ke)研(yan)要(yao)帶動學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)科(ke)研(yan)活(huo)動,培養學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)科(ke)研(yan)能力(li)。在(zai)他的(de)(de)(de)倡導下,中山大學(xue)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)(de)科(ke)研(yan)工作和(he)學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)科(ke)研(yan)活(huo)動迅速(su)發(fa)展(zhan),1954年冬全(quan)校(xiao)(xiao)只有(you)4個(ge)學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)科(ke)學(xue)小組,1956年增至78個(ge),并成立(li)了(le)(le)(le)學(xue)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)科(ke)學(xue)研(yan)究協(xie)會(hui)。由于進行(xing)了(le)(le)(le)一系列的(de)(de)(de)改革(ge),校(xiao)(xiao)園里出現了(le)(le)(le)一派(pai)欣欣向榮、生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)動活(huo)潑的(de)(de)(de)局面。
許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)先生非(fei)常關心教(jiao)育(yu)改(gai)革(ge)。他(ta)(ta)認(ren)為(wei)中(zhong)國(guo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)社(she)會主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)教(jiao)仁者襟期(qi),“它決(jue)(jue)不(bu)(bu)(bu)是(shi)(shi)一(yi)成(cheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)變的(de)(de)(de)(de),一(yi)次(ci)規定下來(lai)永(yong)遠就是(shi)(shi)這(zhe)樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)。它適(shi)應(ying)著社(she)會主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)革(ge)命和社(she)會主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)建設事業發展(zhan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)需要(yao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)斷地(di)調整、鞏(gong)固、充實(shi)、提高,一(yi)直到社(she)會主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)建成(cheng)而(er)向共產主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)過(guo)渡,它也(ye)跟著共產主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)前進而(er)成(cheng)為(wei)共產主(zhu)(zhu)義(yi)(yi)教(jiao)育(yu)”,“改(gai)革(ge)是(shi)(shi)逐(zhu)步(bu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)”。1958年(nian),全(quan)國(guo)開展(zhan)教(jiao)育(yu)革(ge)命,“左(zuo)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)思(si)潮(chao)泛濫(lan)起來(lai),影響很大,許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)對(dui)此提出(chu)(chu)了(le)批評。許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)這(zhe)種對(dui)人民教(jiao)育(yu)事業高度負(fu)責的(de)(de)(de)(de)精神,是(shi)(shi)難(nan)能(neng)可貴的(de)(de)(de)(de)。許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)在(zai)1959年(nian)《怎(zen)樣解決(jue)(jue)人民教(jiao)育(yu)發展(zhan)過(guo)程(cheng)中(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)內部矛(mao)(mao)盾》一(yi)文(wen)中(zhong)指(zhi)出(chu)(chu):“不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)設想,這(zhe)樣一(yi)個(ge)革(ge)命,似乎是(shi)(shi)可以一(yi)天內就完成(cheng)得了(le),或(huo)者是(shi)(shi)搞(gao)一(yi)次(ci)‘運動’就可以一(yi)勞永(yong)逸的(de)(de)(de)(de),更不(bu)(bu)(bu)是(shi)(shi)重(zhong)新(xin)改(gai)變既成(cheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)體制和制度所能(neng)實(shi)現。這(zhe)是(shi)(shi)一(yi)個(ge)新(xin)東(dong)西逐(zhu)漸代替舊東(dong)西的(de)(de)(de)(de)過(guo)程(cheng)。”許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)指(zhi)出(chu)(chu):“既然這(zhe)個(ge)革(ge)命所要(yao)求的(de)(de)(de)(de)是(shi)(shi)當前教(jiao)育(yu)發展(zhan)過(guo)程(cheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)內部矛(mao)(mao)盾的(de)(de)(de)(de)根(gen)本解決(jue)(jue),而(er)這(zhe)些矛(mao)(mao)盾又自有(you)其非(fei)對(dui)抗性的(de)(de)(de)(de)特征,我們采(cai)取的(de)(de)(de)(de)方(fang)法就要(yao)適(shi)合(he)這(zhe)些特征。”他(ta)(ta)闡(chan)明(ming)了(le)人民教(jiao)育(yu)改(gai)革(ge)的(de)(de)(de)(de)性質、任務和方(fang)法,提出(chu)(chu)進行教(jiao)育(yu)改(gai)革(ge),必須掌握人民教(jiao)育(yu)發展(zhan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)規律(lv),正確對(dui)待(dai)文(wen)化(hua)科學,正確對(dui)待(dai)知識分子(zi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)簡單粗暴。歷史事實(shi)已經證明(ming),許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)意(yi)見是(shi)(shi)真(zhen)知灼見、肺腑之(zhi)言。文(wen)化(hua)大革(ge)命期(qi)間,許(xu)崇(chong)清(qing)(qing)(qing)受(shou)到沖(chong)擊,幾次(ci)被(bei)批斗,在(zai)1969年(nian)一(yi)次(ci)被(bei)批斗后回家途中(zhong)摔倒,因(yin)心臟病發作逝世。
