浙江省溫嶺中學是省內為數不多的百年名校之一。前身宗文書院 , 創辦于鴉片戰爭后之清道光 27年(nian)(公元 1847 年(nian)),首任山長(chang)黃(huang)濬系(xi)進士出(chu)身(shen),為(wei)(wei)民族(zu)英(ying)雄林則徐之摯交,其辦(ban)(ban)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)以(yi)啟蒙化育、重士興(xing)氓、報(bao)國(guo)振(zhen)邦為(wei)(wei)己任。宗(zong)文舊址(zhi)位(wei)(wei)于今溫(wen)(wen)嶺市橫(heng)峰(feng)鎮西(xi)南之山前(qian)村(cun),與(yu)(yu)本(ben)邑樓旗尖毗鄰。 1928 年(nian)更名(ming)為(wei)(wei)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)立宗(zong)文初(chu)級中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。 1935 年(nian)遷至(zhi)前(qian)清(qing)太平縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)考(kao)士館(即今方城(cheng)小(xiao)(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)所在地),并(bing)更名(ming)為(wei)(wei)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)立初(chu)級中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。 1942 年(nian)再遷至(zhi)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)城(cheng)小(xiao)(xiao)南門外花(hua)山,并(bing)更名(ming)為(wei)(wei)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)立中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。 1949 年(nian)三遷至(zhi)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)(xian)城(cheng)西(xi)郊大(da)明因,而后于 1959 年(nian)定(ding)(ding)名(ming)為(wei)(wei)浙江省(sheng)(sheng)溫(wen)(wen)嶺中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)并(bing)沿用至(zhi)今。曾(ceng)于 1960 年(nian)被定(ding)(ding)作浙江大(da)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)附屬中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。 1997 年(nian)經省(sheng)(sheng)教委批(pi)準(zhun)為(wei)(wei)省(sheng)(sheng)一級重點中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。 2001 年(nian)四遷其址(zhi)于五龍山風景(jing)區,老校(xiao)與(yu)(yu)市二中(zhong)(zhong)置換(huan),承(cheng)辦(ban)(ban)溫(wen)(wen)中(zhong)(zhong)實驗初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)。 2003 年(nian)與(yu)(yu)原光大(da)外國(guo)語學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)聯辦(ban)(ban)股份制溫(wen)(wen)中(zhong)(zhong)雙語學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)。至(zhi)此,學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)成為(wei)(wei)下轄高中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)、初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)部(bu)與(yu)(yu)國(guo)際部(bu)三個校(xiao)區的集團化教育事(shi)業單位(wei)(wei)。
黨(dang)委(wei)書記(ji)、校長陳才錡,博士研究生,獲全國(guo)(guo)“五(wu)一”勞動獎(jiang)章,享(xiang)受國(guo)(guo)務(wu)院(yuan)特殊津(jin)貼,在國(guo)(guo)內(nei)外化學教(jiao)學與學校管理(li)領域享(xiang)有盛(sheng)名。
高(gao)中本部(以(yi)下簡稱學校)占地面積 400 畝,建(jian)筑面積 14 萬平方米,固定資(zi)產 2.83 億。設 78 個高(gao)中班,在校生 4000 余人,教(jiao)(jiao)職工 340 人。遷(qian)建(jian)后,教(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)質量穩步上升,辦學層次與(yu)效率(lv)不斷提高(gao),學校社(she)會(hui)美譽度與(yu)日俱增(zeng),創有臺州市的(de)教(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)服(fu)務(wu)品牌。

學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)設施(shi)先(xian)進(jin)。圖書館藏書 14 多萬冊,業(ye)已(yi)開通多媒體數字圖書館。所有教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)室均為(wei)多媒體教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)室,每(mei)位教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師配備(bei)筆記本電腦。近千臺計算機形成的校(xiao)內局域網,充分滿足日(ri)常教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)及科研所需。學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)被評為(wei)浙江省信息技術實(shi)驗學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)和臺州(zhou)市教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育現代(dai)化學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)。

學校一(yi)貫(guan)注重教學質量的(de)提(ti)高,遷建后(hou)高考(kao)與學科競(jing)賽(sai)成績尤為突出。自(zi) 2004 年(nian)上重點(dian)線(xian)人(ren)數(shu)突破 500 大關后(hou),年(nian)年(nian)大面積豐(feng)收,總體水平和多(duo)項指標穩居臺州市首(shou)位。在 2004 — 2008 年(nian)各學科競(jing)賽(sai)中(zhong),溫嶺(ling)中(zhong)學有(you)近 400 位同學獲省級以上獎勵。
學校競技體(ti)育(yu)和(he)群眾性體(ti)育(yu)尤其是傳統體(ti)育(yu)項目(mu)有長足發展。 2005 年(nian)(nian)成(cheng)功舉辦全國(guo)中學生(sheng)田徑錦標賽(sai); 2006 年(nian)(nian)中長跑隊(dui)代表國(guo)家隊(dui)赴意大利參(can)加世界中學生(sheng)越野跑錦標賽(sai)并創佳績; 2008 年(nian)(nian)成(cheng)功舉辦“溫嶺中學杯”中國(guo)象棋浙江省(sheng)棋王賽(sai),并包攬了團體(ti)和(he)個(ge)人兩(liang)枚金(jin)牌。
學校德育工作富于人(ren)文特(te)色,小班化、人(ren)性化管理(li)成(cheng)效(xiao)明顯,德育經驗向全(quan)國推廣。
學(xue)校(xiao)重視(shi)校(xiao)際(ji)聯系與交往,與北京八中(zhong)、江蘇啟(qi)東中(zhong)學(xue)、湖北黃岡中(zhong)學(xue)等一(yi)批國(guo)內名(ming)校(xiao)開展了(le)經常而深入的交流。
為(wei)了發揮名校的(de)示范與輻射作用,長期以來與西藏加黎縣中學和本省景寧中學,本市澤國中學、石橋頭稹中學、塘下中學等(deng)學校結對,開展經濟(ji)或(huo)業務上(shang)的(de)幫扶(fu)活動。
學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)還成立有浙江省宗(zong)文慈善基(ji)金會(hui),“不讓任(ren)何一位溫中(zhong)學(xue)(xue)生因貧困(kun)而失學(xue)(xue)”,并借以對學(xue)(xue)生進行悲憫教(jiao)育、感(gan)恩教(jiao)育。在 2008 年汶川(chuan)大地(di)震后(hou),基(ji)金會(hui)與(yu)全校(xiao)(xiao)師(shi)生雪中(zhong)送(song)炭,先后(hou)籌捐善款 100 多萬。
學校(xiao)從 2006 年開始(shi)執(zhi)行 “十一五”發展規劃,全(quan)面實施(shi)新(xin)課程,探索“諧(xie)和(he)教(jiao)學”的新(xin)路子,尋(xun)求以“和(he)諧(xie)教(jiao)育”為主線開展有效教(jiao)育,以進一步提(ti)升辦學水平,向名校(xiao)努力邁進。

學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)辦學(xue)(xue)(xue)歷(li)(li)史悠久,至今已走過了155年(nian)(nian)(nian)的漫長歷(li)(li)程(cheng)。1847年(nian)(nian)(nian)(清道光二(er)十(shi)(shi)七年(nian)(nian)(nian)),溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)前身宗(zong)文(wen)書院(yuan)于橫峰創(chuang)辦,學(xue)(xue)(xue)博(bo)金(jin)煦春、貢生趙佩訓董其成(cheng),進士(shi)黃濬(jun)首(shou)任(ren)(ren)山長。1902年(nian)(nian)(nian)(清光緒二(er)十(shi)(shi)八(ba)年(nian)(nian)(nian)),改(gai)宗(zong)文(wen)書院(yuan)為私立宗(zong)文(wen)高等小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)堂。1912年(nian)(nian)(nian)(民(min)國元年(nian)(nian)(nian)),改(gai)宗(zong)文(wen)高等小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)堂為宗(zong)文(wen)高等小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)。1928年(nian)(nian)(nian)1月(yue)(yue)(民(min)國十(shi)(shi)七年(nian)(nian)(nian)),宗(zong)文(wen)高等小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)改(gai)辦為溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)西北區(qu)立宗(zong)文(wen)初(chu)級中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),蕭衛(字仲劼)任(ren)(ren)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)長。同年(nian)(nian)(nian)5月(yue)(yue)11日改(gai)為溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)立宗(zong)文(wen)初(chu)級中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),旋定是(shi)日為校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)慶紀念日。1935年(nian)(nian)(nian)7月(yue)(yue)遷(qian)址城內校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)士(shi)館(今方城小(xiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue))。翌年(nian)(nian)(nian)9月(yue)(yue),經(jing)省(sheng)教(jiao)育廳批準改(gai)名(ming)為溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)立初(chu)級中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)。1938年(nian)(nian)(nian)及此后(hou)數(shu)年(nian)(nian)(nian)間,溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)城區(qu)屢遭日機空襲,學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)白天遷(qian)南門外花山上課,傍(bang)晚(wan)返城食宿。1941年(nian)(nian)(nian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)首(shou)次(ci)招收一個高中(zhong)(zhong)班(ban)(ban)(ban)。1942年(nian)(nian)(nian)遷(qian)往(wang)花山新址,經(jing)省(sheng)教(jiao)育廳批準,改(gai)名(ming)為溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)立中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)。1949年(nian)(nian)(nian)10月(yue)(yue),學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)遷(qian)址大(da)明因,和溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)師(shi)(shi)合并(bing),校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)名(ming)仍為溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)立中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)。1951年(nian)(nian)(nian)2月(yue)(yue),師(shi)(shi)范(fan)部撤銷,原普師(shi)(shi)生并(bing)入臺州(zhou)師(shi)(shi)范(fan),簡師(shi)(shi)生插(cha)入本(ben)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)各班(ban)(ban)(ban)。1956年(nian)(nian)(nian)8月(yue)(yue),學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)更名(ming)為浙江省(sheng)溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)縣(xian)第一中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),是(shi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)高中(zhong)(zhong)在校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)生已達8班(ban)(ban)(ban)322人(ren),初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)已達9班(ban)(ban)(ban)435人(ren)。1959年(nian)(nian)(nian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)更名(ming)為浙江省(sheng)溫(wen)(wen)(wen)(wen)嶺(ling)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue),并(bing)沿用至今。學(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)雖八(ba)易其名(ming),五遷(qian)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)址,然薪火相(xiang)傳,弦歌(ge)不(bu)絕,其源(yuan)蓋出(chu)于宗(zong)文(wen)書院(yuan)。
? ?1966年(nian)(nian)(nian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校被定(ding)為浙江(jiang)大學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)附(fu)屬中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),翌(yi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)撤銷。1978年(nian)(nian)(nian)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校被列(lie)(lie)為地(di)區重(zhong)點中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。1981年(nian)(nian)(nian)5月(yue)(yue),列(lie)(lie)為省重(zhong)點中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。1987年(nian)(nian)(nian)停招初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)為一所高級中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。1997年(nian)(nian)(nian)3月(yue)(yue),經省教(jiao)委(wei)批準成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)為省一級重(zhong)點中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)。2000年(nian)(nian)(nian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)為浙江(jiang)大學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)教(jiao)育(yu)實踐基地(di)。2001年(nian)(nian)(nian),溫嶺市第二中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)部并入(ru)溫嶺中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)立溫中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)實驗初(chu)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)。2003年(nian)(nian)(nian)3月(yue)(yue)28日,與臺州光大外國語學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校合(he)作辦學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)立溫中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)雙語學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校。
