中國盛產(chan)蟶(cheng)(cheng)子,南北沿海(hai)(hai)多有(you)分布。蟶(cheng)(cheng)子均(jun)為海(hai)(hai)產(chan),常(chang)見的有(you)20多種(zhong)(zhong)。大部分為溫(wen)帶(dai)和熱(re)帶(dai)種(zhong)(zhong)類(lei),生(sheng)活(huo)于潮間(jian)帶(dai)中、下區或潮下帶(dai)的淺海(hai)(hai)沙灘或泥沙灘;少(shao)數種(zhong)(zhong)類(lei)生(sheng)活(huo)于深的海(hai)(hai)底,也有(you)些(xie)種(zhong)(zhong)類(lei)生(sheng)活(huo)在河口或內灣(wan)、有(you)少(shao)許(xu)淡水注(zhu)入、海(hai)(hai)水鹽度較低的軟泥底質中。蟶(cheng)(cheng)子肉可鮮食,也可加工制成蟶(cheng)(cheng)干、蟶(cheng)(cheng)油等(deng)。中國國養殖(zhi)歷史悠久,以福(fu)建(jian)、浙江產(chan)量最大,并(bing)有(you)人工養殖(zhi)。
