明(ming)清(qing)時期由于商(shang)(shang)品經濟的發(fa)展,商(shang)(shang)品流通領域擴大,商(shang)(shang)人(ren)十分活(huo)躍,逐(zhu)漸形成(cheng)了商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)。著名(ming)的有徽商(shang)(shang)、晉商(shang)(shang)、江右幫(bang)(bang)(bang)、洞庭商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)、山東商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)、秦商(shang)(shang)、潮商(shang)(shang)、閩商(shang)(shang)、龍游商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)、寧波商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)等十大商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)。
當(dang)徽商(shang)(shang)(shang)、晉商(shang)(shang)(shang)在商(shang)(shang)(shang)場爭雄之時,冷不防在浙江中(zhong)西(xi)南部崛起一(yi)個頗有影響(xiang)的(de)(de)龍(long)(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)。龍(long)(long)游(you)歷(li)史上有一(yi)個當(dang)年堪稱(cheng)國家級(ji)的(de)(de)大“幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)派”,當(dang)然(ran),這個大“幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)派”系明清時列(lie)全國十大商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)之一(yi)的(de)(de)龍(long)(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)。龍(long)(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)雖以(yi)龍(long)(long)游(you)命名(ming),但并非單指龍(long)(long)游(you)一(yi)縣(xian)(xian)的(de)(de)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人,而是實指浙江衢州(zhou)府所屬龍(long)(long)游(you)、常山縣(xian)(xian)、西(xi)安(今(jin)衢縣(xian)(xian))、開化和江山五縣(xian)(xian)的(de)(de)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人,其(qi)中(zhong)以(yi)龍(long)(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人人數最多(duo),經商(shang)(shang)(shang)手段最為(wei)高明,故冠以(yi)龍(long)(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)之名(ming),簡稱(cheng)“龍(long)(long)游(you)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)(bang)”。
商幫的出現,是我國商品經濟發(fa)展(zhan)的重要標志。
在明(ming)中葉嘉靖、萬歷(li)年間(1522-1620),十大商(shang)幫中最活躍的(de)是(shi)洞(dong)(dong)庭(ting)商(shang)、徽商(shang)和龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang),當(dang)時社會上(shang)流傳(chuan)著兩句諺語:“鉆天洞(dong)(dong)庭(ting)遍地徽”、“遍地龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)”。這反映(ying)洞(dong)(dong)庭(ting)商(shang)人(ren)、徽州商(shang)人(ren)、龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)人(ren)遍布全國并雄踞商(shang)界的(de)事實。龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)歷(li)史上(shang)為姑(gu)篾文化發(fa)祥地,更(geng)是(shi)“入閩(min)要(yao)道(dao)”、“金衢(qu)處(chu)徽之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)沖(chong)”,為古代重要(yao)鹽道(dao)餉道(dao),“通浙(zhe)孔道(dao),饋餉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所必系”之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)地,又是(shi)浙(zhe)皖(wan)閩(min)贛4省交通樞紐。明(ming)人(ren)徐(xu)復初說:“邑(龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you))當(dang)孔道(dao),舟車所至,商(shang)貨所通,紛總填溢。”龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)農耕之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)外(wai),借交通之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)便,經(jing)(jing)(jing)商(shang)乃成謀(mou)生重要(yao)手(shou)段,加之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)社會上(shang)素不賤商(shang),頭腦(nao)活絡之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)多(duo)選經(jing)(jing)(jing)商(shang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)路(lu)。龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)有(you)豐(feng)富(fu)的(de)資源(yuan),這也為他們經(jing)(jing)(jing)商(shang)提供(gong)了物(wu)質條件。龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)多(duo)山林竹木(mu)和茶(cha)漆糧油等(deng),這些土特產品成為龍(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)最重要(yao)的(de)外(wai)貿商(shang)品。
當時的(de)(de)(de)龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫,以(yi)(yi)龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人為(wei)主體(ti),涵蓋了周(zhou)圍衢(qu)州(zhou)(zhou)諸縣(xian)的(de)(de)(de)商(shang)(shang)(shang)家。龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫的(de)(de)(de)形成有(you)(you)一(yi)個(ge)漫長(chang)的(de)(de)(de)過程。它發軔于南宋(song),活(huo)躍于明(ming)中葉(xie),至清(qing)乾隆年間(jian)(jian)為(wei)鼎(ding)盛。宋(song)室南遷后,建都杭州(zhou)(zhou),為(wei)了方(fang)便同(tong)長(chang)江(jiang)沿(yan)岸抗金(jin)前(qian)線的(de)(de)(de)聯系,官(guan)府(fu)修(xiu)建了東(dong)起京城杭州(zhou)(zhou),西接湘(xiang)贛(gan)的(de)(de)(de)官(guan)道。這(zhe)條官(guan)道在(zai)龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)和壽昌(chang)交界(jie)的(de)(de)(de)梅嶺關入龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)境,龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)視此為(wei)大(da)(da)好(hao)商(shang)(shang)(shang)機,就(jiu)把木材(cai)運到杭州(zhou)(zhou)銷售。也有(you)(you)大(da)(da)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人到浙江(jiang)外(wai)地(di)經(jing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)致富(fu),如龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)韋塘人朱世榮(rong),“流寓常(chang)州(zhou)(zhou)致巨富(fu),置產亙常(chang)州(zhou)(zhou)三縣(xian)之(zhi)(zhi)半,后歸衢(qu)江(jiang)古碼(ma)里,復大(da)(da)置產,當時以(yi)(yi)為(wei)財(cai)雄(xiong)衢(qu)常(chang)二府(fu)。”到了明(ming)朝,一(yi)個(ge)以(yi)(yi)龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人為(wei)中心,帶動整(zheng)個(ge)衢(qu)州(zhou)(zhou)地(di)區商(shang)(shang)(shang)人們的(de)(de)(de)流域性商(shang)(shang)(shang)業(ye)團體(ti)響亮登場(chang),他們在(zai)金(jin)衢(qu)盆地(di)崛(jue)起,逐鹿中原,遠(yuan)征邊(bian)關,漂洋出海,以(yi)(yi)“遍(bian)地(di)龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)”的(de)(de)(de)氣勢被(bei)人們稱為(wei)“龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)幫”。據(ju)史料記載:明(ming)萬(wan)歷年間(jian)(jian),“龍(long)(long)(long)丘之(zhi)(zhi)民,往往糊口(kou)于四方(fang),誦讀之(zhi)(zhi)外(wai),農賈(jia)相(xiang)半”。明(ming)天啟年間(jian)(jian),“龍(long)(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)之(zhi)(zhi)民,多(duo)向(xiang)天涯海角,遠(yuan)行(xing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)賈(jia),幾空縣(xian)之(zhi)(zhi)半。”如商(shang)(shang)(shang)人童(tong)巨川在(zai)嘉靖(jing)年間(jian)(jian)至宣府(fu)大(da)(da)同(tong)做邊(bian)貿生(sheng)意,“一(yi)往返旬月(yue),獲利必倍,歲得數萬(wan)金(jin),自是兄弟更相(xiang)往來,垂20余(yu)年,遂(sui)成大(da)(da)賈(jia)。”至清(qing)乾隆年間(jian)(jian)童(tong)氏家族:“多(duo)行(xing)賈(jia)四方(fang),其居家土(tu)著者,不過十之(zhi)(zhi)三四耳。”
龍游商幫(bang)不像晉(jin)商手握巨資(zi),經營票號,在金(jin)融(rong)市場上顯山露水;也(ye)不像徽商壟斷鹽鹺,聲名顯赫。龍游商幫(bang)的顯著特(te)點是(shi),埋頭苦(ku)干,不露聲色,卻在珠寶古董業中(zhong)獨占鰲頭,又在印書刻書販書業中(zhong)從事于文化傳(chuan)播,還在海外貿易(yi)中(zhong)插上一(yi)手,成(cheng)為(wei)頗具實(shi)力的一(yi)大商幫(bang)。
龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)幫雖地(di)處偏僻,卻有著開放的(de)(de)心態,在觀念上(shang)也比較新潮(chao)。主(zhu)要(yao)表(biao)現(xian)在兩個方面上(shang),即投資(zi)上(shang)的(de)(de)"敢為(wei)天下先"精神和“海納百川(chuan)”的(de)(de)肚量。明清時(shi)期,許多(duo)商(shang)(shang)人(ren)將經營(ying)商(shang)(shang)業(ye)所賺得的(de)(de)資(zi)金用(yong)來購買土地(di)或者經營(ying)典當、借貸業(ye),以求(qiu)有穩定的(de)(de)收入。而龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)敏(min)銳地(di)意識到,要(yao)獲得更的(de)(de)利(li)潤,必須轉(zhuan)向(xiang)手(shou)工業(ye)生(sheng)產(chan)(chan)和工礦產(chan)(chan)業(ye)上(shang)。他們(men)果(guo)斷地(di)投入于(yu)(yu)紙業(ye)、礦業(ye)的(de)(de)商(shang)(shang)品(pin)生(sheng)產(chan)(chan),或者直接參與商(shang)(shang)品(pin)生(sheng)產(chan)(chan),使(shi)商(shang)(shang)業(ye)資(zi)本轉(zhuan)化為(wei)產(chan)(chan)業(ye)資(zi)本,給當時(shi)封建(jian)社會注入了帶有雇傭關系的(de)(de)新生(sheng)產(chan)(chan)關系。龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)人(ren)還不(bu)排(pai)斥外地(di)商(shang)(shang)幫對本鄉的(de)(de)滲透,并且相處友善(shan),吸(xi)收外地(di)商(shang)(shang)人(ren)于(yu)(yu)己(ji)幫,推進了龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)幫的(de)(de)發(fa)展。
明清時(shi)期龍游(you)商(shang)幫是(shi)當時(shi)活躍于(yu)商(shang)壇(tan)的(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)國十大商(shang)幫之一(yi),它之所(suo)以能(neng)在與實力雄厚的(de)(de)徽商(shang)、晉商(shang)等競爭中(zhong)(zhong)獨樹一(yi)幟(zhi),在珠寶業(ye)(ye)、墾拓(tuo)(tuo)業(ye)(ye)、造紙業(ye)(ye)和印(yin)書業(ye)(ye)中(zhong)(zhong)立于(yu)不敗之地,除(chu)了它有(you)開拓(tuo)(tuo)進取、不怕(pa)艱苦(ku)的(de)(de)精神和善于(yu)經營管(guan)理之外,恐怕(pa)與它具(ju)有(you)較(jiao)高(gao)文化素養和誠實守信職業(ye)(ye)道德有(you)著密切的(de)(de)關聯(lian)。

馳騁于商(shang)(shang)(shang)界的龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang),其經營區域甚(shen)廣,足跡遍及全國各地。史書記載(zai):龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)“挾資以出守(shou)為恒業,即秦、晉、滇、蜀(shu),萬(wan)里視若(ruo)比舍,俗(su)有遍地龍(long)(long)游之(zhi)諺”。明萬(wan)歷年(nian)間流(liu)傳的“遍地龍(long)(long)游”之(zhi)民諺,有力地說(shuo)明了龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)與享有“鉆(zhan)天洞庭”、“無(wu)徽(hui)不(bu)成鎮”等(deng)美譽的洞庭商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)與徽(hui)州商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)一樣,都是明清時期稱雄商(shang)(shang)(shang)界的頗有影響的地域商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)。龍(long)(long)游幫(bang)(bang)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)大多從事長途販銷活(huo)動,“龍(long)(long)游之(zhi)民多向天涯海角,遠(yuan)行商(shang)(shang)(shang)賈”,不(bu)僅活(huo)躍在江(jiang)(jiang)南(nan)、北京、湖(hu)南(nan)、湖(hu)北和閩粵諸地,而且還(huan)一直深入到西北、西南(nan)等(deng)偏(pian)遠(yuan)省份。如據有關(guan)文獻(xian)記載(zai):明成化年(nian)間,僅云南(nan)姚安府(fu)(即今云南(nan)楚(chu)雄彝族自治(zhi)州西部)就聚集了浙江(jiang)(jiang)龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)和江(jiang)(jiang)西安福(fu)商(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)三五萬(wan)人(ren)(ren)。

明清時(shi)期(qi),有許(xu)多外籍商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)紛(fen)紛(fen)奔赴龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)經(jing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang),有的(de)還寓居于(yu)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you),加(jia)入(ru)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)的(de)行(xing)列,并(bing)把(ba)各自的(de)經(jing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)經(jing)驗帶入(ru)到了龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)中,推進了龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)的(de)發展。如徽(hui)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)程廷柱在(zai)康熙年間曾率眾在(zai)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)經(jing)營(ying)有典業(ye)和田莊;汪(wang)文俊在(zai)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)經(jing)營(ying)有鹽業(ye)。又(you)如贛商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)周學錦在(zai)康熙年間從江(jiang)西(xi)撫州(zhou)(zhou)趨利(li)業(ye)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)于(yu)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you),并(bing)定居于(yu)此。還如閩(min)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)三元戴馮氏、黃(huang)靜齋、池明英等(deng)都先(xian)后經(jing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)于(yu)龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)。清末至民國時(shi)期(qi),龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)縣(xian)籍商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)漸少,客(ke)籍居多,他(ta)們大多來自浙江(jiang)的(de)遂(sui)昌、蘭溪(xi)、義烏、處州(zhou)(zhou)、紹興、寧波和徽(hui)州(zhou)(zhou)府所屬各縣(xian),以及江(jiang)西(xi)、福建(jian)等(deng)省。由此可見(jian),龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)群(qun)體融(rong)(rong)合了徽(hui)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)、粵商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)、蘇商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)、浙商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)、閩(min)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)和贛商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)等(deng)外地商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)。龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)的(de)形成(cheng)基(ji)于(yu)血緣地緣關系,本(ben)質(zhi)上(shang)具有排他(ta)性,但他(ta)們卻能容納其他(ta)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)(bang)(bang)的(de)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)(ren)的(de)融(rong)(rong)入(ru),足可見(jian)其胸(xiong)襟的(de)寬大。
然(ran)而(er)隨著龍(long)游商幫的(de)(de)(de)(de)沒落,這方曾經如此大氣十足的(de)(de)(de)(de)土地(di),反而(er)漸生(sheng)一種“排外(wai)”情結(jie)。很(hen)難想(xiang)象,前(qian)些(xie)年在(zai)龍(long)游商幫的(de)(de)(de)(de)發源地(di)會發生(sheng)因眼紅外(wai)地(di)布商物美價(jia)廉,而(er)引發的(de)(de)(de)(de)哄搶布匹事件。去年投資(zi)環境的(de)(de)(de)(de)一項調查(cha)也表明(ming),大多數經濟主體有(you)看到(dao)、聽(ting)到(dao)過或有(you)過受本地(di)人(ren)欺騙壓制的(de)(de)(de)(de)感(gan)覺。證實了衢州人(ren)有(you)較濃的(de)(de)(de)(de)排外(wai)傾向(xiang)。這些(xie)年的(de)(de)(de)(de)實踐(jian)證明(ming),我市要(yao)加(jia)快發展,就必須承接(jie)龍(long)游商幫的(de)(de)(de)(de)開(kai)放胸襟,真正培育(yu)出兼容并蓄的(de)(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)市精神。要(yao)廣(guang)為吸納來(lai)自于海內外(wai)的(de)(de)(de)(de)技術(shu)、資(zi)本、管理、人(ren)才(cai)(cai)等(deng)各種資(zi)源和生(sheng)產要(yao)素,吸收(shou)當今最先(xian)進的(de)(de)(de)(de)發展理念、思想(xiang)觀念,為我市的(de)(de)(de)(de)發展服(fu)務,培育(yu)衢州人(ren)友(you)好親善、大度包容、海納百川的(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷。在(zai)加(jia)強(qiang)本地(di)企(qi)(qi)業家的(de)(de)(de)(de)建設(she)的(de)(de)(de)(de)同時(shi),要(yao)引導他(ta)們向(xiang)外(wai)來(lai)企(qi)(qi)業家學(xue)習,使他(ta)們開(kai)闊視野,增長才(cai)(cai)干,克服(fu)小富(fu)即安、不思進取的(de)(de)(de)(de)小農(nong)意(yi)識,進一步(bu)做大做強(qiang)企(qi)(qi)業。

時光(guang)流逝,沖淡了(le)龍游(you)商(shang)幫創立(li)的(de)(de)輝煌業績,只(zhi)留下一個個散落在浙(zhe)西大(da)地上的(de)(de)民居大(da)院。難道(dao)作為后人的(de)(de)我(wo)們(men),只(zhi)能是(shi)綴串起這一個個珍珠,向世人炫耀我(wo)們(men)的(de)(de)祖上也曾風光(guang)過就足了(le)嗎?什么(me)時候才能重(zhong)新(xin)迎來浙(zhe)西新(xin)一代“商(shang)幫”的(de)(de)復興?這才是(shi)當(dang)前研究龍游(you)商(shang)幫歷史的(de)(de)真實所(suo)在。
僻居于浙(zhe)西山區的龍(long)游商(shang)幫(bang)在歷史(shi)上(shang)曾經輝(hui)煌一(yi)時,在明(ming)萬歷時已有(you)(you)“遍地(di)龍(long)游”之(zhi)諺(參見(jian)萬歷《龍(long)游縣志》),與當時馳名的“無徽不(bu)成鎮”、“鉆天洞庭”的徽商(shang)蘇商(shang)等(deng)并駕齊(qi)驅。其(qi)所以能(neng)(neng)在市場競爭中嶄露頭角,是與它有(you)(you)著(zhu)良好的商(shang)業道德很有(you)(you)關系,聲譽(yu)良好,贏得了(le)人(ren)們的信任。反之(zhi),也有(you)(you)些商(shang)人(ren)欺詐造假(jia),只(zhi)能(neng)(neng)蒙騙(pian)一(yi)時,不(bu)能(neng)(neng)長久立(li)足于商(shang)壇。明(ming)代浙(zhe)江(jiang)人(ren)張(zhang)應(ying)俞編著(zhu)了(le)《杜(du)騙(pian)新書》,列舉24類(lei)84則(ze)騙(pian)術,這(zhe)就是明(ming)代中葉(xie)(xie)以來商(shang)壇上(shang)不(bu)誠(cheng)信的劣(lie)跡(詳見(jian)拙著(zhu)《明(ming)清時期(qi)商(shang)業及商(shang)人(ren)書之(zhi)研究》下(xia)篇第(di)6章。該書為《國學精粹叢書》的一(yi)種,臺灣(wan)洪葉(xie)(xie)文化事業有(you)(you)限公司,1997年出版)。
相比之(zhi)下,龍(long)游(you)商幫的(de)(de)誠實守信就(jiu)顯得非(fei)常(chang)可貴。龍(long)游(you)商人傅家來開設傅立宗紙號,非(fei)常(chang)注重產(chan)品(pin)(pin)的(de)(de)質量(liang)(liang),精益求精,所造之(zhi)紙,堅韌(ren)白凈(jing),均勻(yun)齊整,比其他家的(de)(de)紙在(zai)同一件紙號中重十多(duo)斤。造紙是多(duo)工(gong)序(xu)的(de)(de)生產(chan)流程,他為了(le)保證質量(liang)(liang),層層把關,嚴格(ge)檢驗,次品(pin)(pin)決不出售。產(chan)品(pin)(pin)暢銷大江南北,經久(jiu)不衰。為了(le)表示(shi)對用(yong)戶負責和維持良好的(de)(de)信譽,他的(de)(de)產(chan)品(pin)(pin)都統(tong)一加印
“西(xi)山傅立(li)宗(zong)”印記。
姜(jiang)益(yi)大(da)棉(mian)布(bu)店以(yi)(yi)(yi)信(xin)(xin)譽(yu)著稱(cheng),冠為(wei)金(jin)(華)衢(州(zhou))嚴(州(zhou))三府第一(yi)家。自從胡(hu)筱漁(yu)接管以(yi)(yi)(yi)來(lai)(lai),非(fei)常重(zhong)視信(xin)(xin)譽(yu),以(yi)(yi)(yi)誠實守(shou)信(xin)(xin)教育每一(yi)位職(zhi)工,多次(ci)提出要薄利多銷,童叟無欺,決不(bu)(bu)(bu)二價。為(wei)了防止流通中(zhong)(zhong)有銀(yin)元摻(chan)假損(sun)(sun)害顧客(ke)利益(yi),特(te)聘請了三位有經驗的(de)(de)驗銀(yin)工,嚴格檢驗,凡經過(guo)他(ta)店的(de)(de)銀(yin)幣加以(yi)(yi)(yi)“姜(jiang)益(yi)大(da)”印記,讓顧客(ke)放心。在(zai)經營中(zhong)(zhong)目(mu)光遠(yuan)大(da),不(bu)(bu)(bu)以(yi)(yi)(yi)短期行為(wei)來(lai)(lai)賺錢(qian),為(wei)了信(xin)(xin)譽(yu),寧(ning)愿承擔暫(zan)時的(de)(de)損(sun)(sun)失。有一(yi)次(ci),他(ta)在(zai)海(hai)寧(ning)訂(ding)購了7500匹石門布(bu),價值6萬(wan)銀(yin)元,在(zai)運輸過(guo)程中(zhong)(zhong)遭劫,這本(ben)不(bu)(bu)(bu)關姜(jiang)益(yi)大(da)店的(de)(de)事(shi),海(hai)寧(ning)布(bu)商(shang)(shang)亦立(li)即派人來(lai)(lai)龍(long)游處(chu)理此事(shi),主(zhu)動(dong)(dong)承擔損(sun)(sun)失,胡(hu)筱漁(yu)重(zhong)義疏財,當場(chang)償付了對方6萬(wan)元布(bu)款(kuan),還再訂(ding)購了7500匹棉(mian)布(bu),并(bing)熱情款(kuan)待(dai)海(hai)寧(ning)布(bu)商(shang)(shang)。由于這一(yi)義舉,姜(jiang)益(yi)大(da)布(bu)店信(xin)(xin)譽(yu)大(da)增,遐邇(er)聞名(ming),在(zai)以(yi)(yi)(yi)后的(de)(de)經商(shang)(shang)活動(dong)(dong)中(zhong)(zhong),凡碰到貨物(wu)緊俏時,海(hai)寧(ning)等(deng)地(di)布(bu)商(shang)(shang)都首(shou)先滿足他(ta)的(de)(de)貨源(yuan)需求(qiu),全力支持他(ta)渡過(guo)難關。他(ta)對職(zhi)工也以(yi)(yi)(yi)禮相(xiang)(xiang)待(dai),以(yi)(yi)(yi)誠相(xiang)(xiang)待(dai),從不(bu)(bu)(bu)刻薄,職(zhi)工中(zhong)(zhong)年長(chang)者,以(yi)(yi)(yi)叔伯相(xiang)(xiang)稱(cheng),同輩(bei)以(yi)(yi)(yi)兄弟(di)、晚輩(bei)以(yi)(yi)(yi)弟(di)侄相(xiang)(xiang)呼,平等(deng)待(dai)人。年終還發(fa)“紅利壓歲錢(qian)”,春節賞每一(yi)職(zhi)工一(yi)匹布(bu)代價的(de)(de)獎勵金(jin)。以(yi)(yi)(yi)心比心,誠摯待(dai)人,職(zhi)工受感動(dong)(dong),工作就(jiu)更(geng)負責,保證了姜(jiang)益(yi)大(da)的(de)(de)良(liang)好運作。
大絲綢商(shang)李(li)汝(ru)衡(heng),商(shang)品(pin)販銷(xiao)到(dao)湖廣十(shi)五郡(jun)(jun),幾乎壟斷了楚(chu)湘的絲綢市場。他職業(ye)道(dao)德良(liang)好,待人(ren)寬厚誠(cheng)信(xin),人(ren)望(wang)甚好。明代(dai)大文(wen)人(ren)李(li)維楨著(zhu)文(wen)贊揚他:“李(li)十(shi)二汝(ru)衡(heng)者(zhe),越(yue)之龍(long)游人(ren)也。……至(zhi)汝(ru)衡(heng)而資益拓,所(suo)居積綺縠(hu)纻罽,遍(bian)四方之珍異,挽舟(zhou)轉轂(gu)以百(bai)數,所(suo)冠帶衣履,遍(bian)楚(chu)之十(shi)五郡(jun)(jun)。而善(shan)與時低昂(ang),人(ren)或(huo)就之貰貸無(wu)所(suo)靳(jin),亦(yi)不(bu)責(ze)子錢,久乃或(huo)負之,遂不(bu)復言。……楚(chu)人(ren)慕其誼,爭交(jiao)歡汝(ru)衡(heng)。”(《大泌山房集(ji)》卷(juan)68,《贈李(li)汝(ru)衡(heng)序》)
龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)本是姑篾故國舊地(di),素有(you)重文(wen)(wen)化的(de)傳(chuan)統,詩書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)禮樂傳(chuan)家(jia),耕讀(du)遵(zun)禮,弦歌不(bu)絕。就是出為(wei)(wei)(wei)賈也不(bu)忘讀(du)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu),故首選(xuan)造(zao)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)籍為(wei)(wei)(wei)業(ye)。龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)新造(zao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)在(zai)明(ming)代已(yi)具名(ming)(ming)氣(qi)。明(ming)著(zhu)名(ming)(ming)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)家(jia)余(yu)(yu)象斗文(wen)(wen)臺,他(ta)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)印(yin)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)籍尤注重用紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),他(ta)品(pin)評全國著(zhu)名(ming)(ming)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)品(pin)有(you)徽歙紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(青光白滑冰翼凝霜,績(ji)溪龍(long)(long)須,西山(shan)觀音(yin)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)),江(jiang)(jiang)西紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(觀音(yin)蓮七紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)),鉛(qian)山(shan)(奏本)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)等,而認為(wei)(wei)(wei)浙江(jiang)(jiang)衢紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)尤勝,“連(lian)四紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),開化縣(xian)(xian)有(you)連(lian)三(san)連(lian)四紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)亦佳,只要白厚無(wu)粉者為(wei)(wei)(wei)妙(miao)。”“常山(shan)縣(xian)(xian)有(you)榜紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),并中夾紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)奏本紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)次(ci)于鉛(qian)山(shan)。”龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)縣(xian)(xian)溪口鎮是龐大(da)(da)(da)的(de)造(zao)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中心兼銷售市場,紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)商(shang)(shang)麕集(ji)。乾(qian)隆(long)間(jian)閩商(shang)(shang)林瓊(qiong)茂來龍(long)(long)擇(ze)地(di)上(shang)塘(tang)設坊造(zao)紙(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),傳(chuan)至其孫林巨倫,已(yi)“積貲巨萬”。書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)商(shang)(shang)童佩,名(ming)(ming)噪(zao)一(yi)時(shi),刻(ke)(ke)(ke)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)販(fan)(fan)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)大(da)(da)(da)江(jiang)(jiang)南北,其父彥清,“最稱(cheng)儒(ru)(ru)雅(ya),不(bu)寢然諾。”幼時(shi)從(cong)父販(fan)(fan)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)吳越(yue)(yue)間(jian),“喜(xi)讀(du)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu),手(shou)一(yi)帙,坐船間(jian),日夜不(bu)輟,歷歲(sui)久(jiu),流(liu)(liu)覽(lan)既富,所(suo)為(wei)(wei)(wei)詩風格清越(yue)(yue),不(bu)失古(gu)音(yin)。為(wei)(wei)(wei)他(ta)文(wen)(wen)亦工善,尤善考(kao)證書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)畫金石彝(yi)敦之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)屬。”王世(shi)(shi)貞稱(cheng)其“藏書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)萬卷,皆其手(shou)所(suo)自(zi)校者”,是著(zhu)名(ming)(ming)藏書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)家(jia)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)家(jia)。所(suo)刻(ke)(ke)(ke)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)質(zhi)量上(shang)乘(cheng),深(shen)受學(xue)者歡迎,時(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)名(ming)(ming)流(liu)(liu)碩儒(ru)(ru)王世(shi)(shi)貞、王穉登、歸(gui)有(you)光引之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)座客,并為(wei)(wei)(wei)他(ta)作序作傳(chuan)。他(ta)本人(ren)有(you)《童子鳴集(ji)》、《佩萸雜(za)錄》、《九華游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)記》、《南獄東岱詩》、與余(yu)(yu)湘(xiang)合纂(zuan)《龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)縣(xian)(xian)志》等。刻(ke)(ke)(ke)印(yin)過《徐侍郎集(ji)》、《文(wen)(wen)房四譜》、《楊盈川(chuan)集(ji)》等。他(ta)的(de)學(xue)問(wen)深(shen)得(de)名(ming)(ming)儒(ru)(ru)稱(cheng)贊(zan),胡應麟見其書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)目曰(yue):“所(suo)臚(lu)列經史子集(ji),皆犁(li)然會(hui)心,令人(ren)手(shou)舞足蹈。”引為(wei)(wei)(wei)“子期(qi)”好(hao)友,王世(shi)(shi)貞更稱(cheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“千(qian)古(gu)是知音(yin)”。龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)童氏(shi)是書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)香(xiang)門第,業(ye)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)賈者眾。如童富,“為(wei)(wei)(wei)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)賈,往來閩粵吳中貿遷,……為(wei)(wei)(wei)人(ren)坦夷樸茂,樂善好(hao)施,……湖(hu)海之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)士,多嘖(ze)嘖(ze)稱(cheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。”另一(yi)位書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)賈胡貿,承父兄書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)業(ye),“往來賈書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)肆及士人(ren)家(jia)”,也是有(you)名(ming)(ming)的(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)賈。明(ming)代大(da)(da)(da)學(xue)問(wen)家(jia)唐(tang)順(shun)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)荊川(chuan)謙曰(yue):“非貿,則予事(shi)無(wu)與成”。與唐(tang)深(shen)交,胡死后唐(tang)曾贈棺(guan)以殮。龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)望族(zu)余(yu)(yu)氏(shi)也是世(shi)(shi)代營印(yin)書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)業(ye),曾在(zai)江(jiang)(jiang)蘇(su)太倉州婁縣(xian)(xian)開設書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)肆。“清初(chu),龍(long)(long)游(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)余(yu)(yu)氏(shi)開書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)肆于婁縣(xian)(xian),刊(kan)讀(du)本四書(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)(shu)字畫無(wu)偽,遠(yuan)近購買。”
上述僅是龍游(you)(you)商(shang)幫中的幾個例子。龍游(you)(you)商(shang)人深受中華傳統文化的熏陶,亦(yi)賈亦(yi)儒(ru),保持著良好(hao)的節操,以人品為重(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),注重(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)自身(shen)修養,有社會責(ze)任感(gan),誠信(xin)(xin)為本,終于事業有成(cheng)。歷史的經驗(yan)值得借(jie)鑒,發(fa)揚我國優秀的道德(de)傳統,完善市場經濟(ji)條件下(xia)的職(zhi)業道德(de),提倡人人誠信(xin)(xin),形成(cheng)良好(hao)的社會風氣,這(zhe)是我們這(zhe)個時(shi)代(dai)的一項重(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)要工(gong)作。
點(dian)評:龍(long)游商(shang)(shang)人"敢為天下先(xian)"的(de)(de)精神和"海(hai)納百川"的(de)(de)肚量,是(shi)他們良好(hao)的(de)(de)經商(shang)(shang)心態的(de)(de)反(fan)映。他們雖(sui)然是(shi)出自一個偏(pian)僻之地,既無官府(fu)支持(chi),又無強大的(de)(de)宗族(zu)勢力作(zuo)堅強后盾,但他們卻能在(zai)強手如(ru)林的(de)(de)各大商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)中崛(jue)起,自立于商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)之林。
龍(long)游(you)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫是指以浙江衢州府(fu)龍(long)游(you)縣(xian)為中(zhong)心的衢商(shang)(shang)(shang)集團,它萌(meng)發于(yu)南(nan)宋(song),興(xing)盛于(yu)明(ming)代中(zhong)葉(xie),以經營珠寶業、販書業、紙張業著(zhu)名。明(ming)萬(wan)歷年間(1573—1602),它于(yu)徽商(shang)(shang)(shang)、晉商(shang)(shang)(shang)以及江右幫商(shang)(shang)(shang)人在商(shang)(shang)(shang)場中(zhong)角(jiao)逐,稱雄一(yi)(yi)時,故有“遍地龍(long)游(you)”之(zhi)諺。它以一(yi)(yi)府(fu)一(yi)(yi)縣(xian)之(zhi)地為基礎,聚(ju)集了大(da)量(liang)資金(jin),而(er)成為中(zhong)國十(shi)大(da)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫之(zhi)一(yi)(yi),至清代逐漸為寧紹(shao)商(shang)(shang)(shang)幫所替代。

龍游(you)商幫經營(ying)行(xing)業頗廣,有山貨、紙(zhi)、刻印(yin)販書、珠寶古董(dong)、長途販運、農(nong)業屯墾、礦冶(ye)等(deng)。
山貨業。皆為當地產品竹(zhu)(zhu)木茶油漆(qi)煙。清(qing)康熙(xi)年(nian)間龍(long)游縣志記(ji)載:“南鄉(xiang)稍有竹(zhu)(zhu)木紙筍(sun)之(zhi)利,可以貿易他郡……北鄉(xiang)則止有桕油一項。”
造(zao)紙業(ye)(ye)。造(zao)紙多以作(zuo)坊或工(gong)遺址龍(long)游北鄉古(gu)商道場形式生產,自產自銷,具有若干商業(ye)(ye)資本(ben)與(yu)產業(ye)(ye)資本(ben)相結合(he)的生產方式。溪口鎮是生產和銷售的中心。該鎮:“其繁盛,乃(nai)倍(bei)于城市焉。”
刻(ke)印(yin)販(fan)書(shu)業。龍游多產紙木(mu),可刻(ke)印(yin)書(shu)籍,又有(you)文化傳統,一些文人學士放下架子(zi),從事(shi)于刻(ke)印(yin)販(fan)書(shu)業以聚財(cai)。望族余氏,還在江蘇(su)婁縣(xian)開設書(shu)坊書(shu)肆,刊印(yin)讀本安(an)畫,銷路很好(hao)。書(shu)販(fan)胡貿(mao)善錐書(shu),經常和(he)一些文人交往。明大(da)學者唐順之因(yin)愛(ai)書(shu),把(ba)胡貿(mao)引(yin)為座(zuo)上客。他(ta)還說:“非貿(mao),則予事(shi)無與(yu)(yu)成(cheng)。”把(ba)自(zi)己成(cheng)就歸之于與(yu)(yu)胡貿(mao)的交往。
珠(zhu)(zhu)寶(bao)古(gu)董業(ye)。經營珠(zhu)(zhu)寶(bao)業(ye)一需有(you)雄厚資(zi)(zi)金(jin),二需有(you)鑒別觀賞能力,三需有(you)進(jin)貨銷貨的(de)渠(qu)道(dao),四(si)需有(you)能躲過被(bei)(bei)劫被(bei)(bei)盜的(de)應(ying)(ying)變能力。古(gu)書記載:“龍游商賈(jia),其所賈(jia)多明珠(zhu)(zhu)、翠羽、寶(bao)石、貓眼(yan)類較(jiao)(軟)物。千金(jin)之貨,只一身自(zi)赍(ji)京師(shi)、販絮(xu)、僧鞋、蒙戎、襤褸巨(ju)疽、膏(gao)藥內皆寶(bao)珠(zhu)(zhu)所藏,人無所知者。”可見(jian)龍游商人不(bu)但有(you)雄厚的(de)資(zi)(zi)金(jin),還具有(you)較(jiao)高文化(hua)和(he)應(ying)(ying)變能力,處(chu)事(shi)謹(jin)慎,是不(bu)事(shi)張揚(yang)的(de)實干商人,
長途販運業。據王(wang)文祿《策樞》記載,龍游商(shang)人李(li)汝衡(heng),擁有(you)重資,常備百(bai)余輛(liang)(艘)車船(chuan)運銷貨物,把絲綢遠銷到湖北一省(sheng)十五郡之地,占領(ling)了全省(sheng)銷售市場。明嘉靖年間捕獲的走私貿易中,就有(you)龍游商(shang)人參與(yu)其事(shi)。
礦(kuang)(kuang)冶(ye)業。據顧炎武《天下郡國利病(bing)書》中記載,有(you)龍(long)游人祝十八,聚礦(kuang)(kuang)工有(you)數(shu)百人,在平洋銅塘、吳(wu)村一帶從事礦(kuang)(kuang)冶(ye)。龍(long)游商幫肯(ken)吃(chi)苦,不畏艱辛,不怕(pa)路遙道險。
他們(men)足(zu)跡遍及全國各地,直至海外日(ri)本(ben)、呂宋等地。如(ru)在(zai)明(ming)嘉靖(jing)年間,就(jiu)發現海外通商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)者中有龍游商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)。另外,早于明(ming)成化元年(1465)龍游商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)就(jiu)與江西(xi)安福商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)人(ren)一起,到(dao)云(yun)南(nan)姚安(今楚雄)從事屯(tun)墾(ken),種植糧(liang)食和經(jing)(jing)濟作物。他們(men)數萬(wan)人(ren)長(chang)途(tu)跋涉,克(ke)服了水土不服等困難,在(zai)云(yun)貴一帶從事經(jing)(jing)商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)墾(ken)荒,享有“天涯賈客”之譽(yu),為我(wo)國西(xi)南(nan)的(de)開(kai)發立下(xia)汗馬功勞,至今云(yun)貴高原還有許(xu)多龍游人(ren)的(de)后代。可以(yi)說龍游商(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)(shang)幫(bang)是中國歷史上西(xi)部開(kai)發的(de)先驅之一。
龍(long)(long)游商(shang)幫(bang)(bang)之(zhi)所以名(ming)(ming)重(zhong)一時,還因為他們(men)具(ju)有寬容(rong)、誠信等品性和(he)良好的(de)職(zhi)業(ye)道(dao)德。如紙(zhi)商(shang)傅立宗(zong),紙(zhi)優價(jia)實,為保證質量(liang),紙(zhi)品統(tong)加印“西山(shan)傅立宗(zong)”字樣,從(cong)示(shi)信用。姜益大(da)棉布號,特聘了3名(ming)(ming)驗(yan)(yan)銀工(gong)(gong),凡經(jing)流通(tong)該(gai)店(dian)的(de)通(tong)貨,皆加蓋印記,以示(shi)負(fu)(fu)責(ze)。滋福堂是著(zhu)名(ming)(ming)中(zhong)藥店(dian),以重(zhong)金延請名(ming)(ming)醫監制(zhi)(zhi)丸藥,配制(zhi)(zhi)成藥準確無(wu)誤,分工(gong)(gong)細密(mi),層層檢驗(yan)(yan),要求藥工(gong)(gong)對顧客的(de)健康(kang)負(fu)(fu)責(ze)。龍(long)(long)游商(shang)人從(cong)不排外,善待遷居來龍(long)(long)經(jing)商(shang)者,如經(jing)營(ying)、鹽、紙(zhi)等的(de)徽州(zhou)大(da)商(shang)程廷柱率3個弟弟去龍(long)(long)游經(jing)商(shang),很快融入龍(long)(long)游社會(hui),所以龍(long)(long)游商(shang)幫(bang)(bang)中(zhong)就有閩、贛、徽諸商(shang)幫(bang)(bang)的(de)成員。
龍(long)(long)游商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)雖有輝煌(huang)的(de)(de)(de)過(guo)去,但隨著交通條件的(de)(de)(de)變化(hua),近代海(hai)洋(yang)文化(hua)的(de)(de)(de)興起和海(hai)外貿易的(de)(de)(de)發(fa)(fa)展,它與徽商(shang)(shang)、晉商(shang)(shang)等(deng)(deng)(deng)幫(bang)一樣未能適應時代的(de)(de)(de)發(fa)(fa)展,逐漸衰落。到清道光(guang)年(nian)間,鴉片戰爭以(yi)后,寧波(bo)等(deng)(deng)(deng)地被辟為五(wu)口通商(shang)(shang)之埠,此時新興的(de)(de)(de)上海(hai)、寧波(bo)、潮汕、廈漳等(deng)(deng)(deng)地商(shang)(shang)幫(bang),取代了龍(long)(long)游等(deng)(deng)(deng)商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)。不過(guo),龍(long)(long)游等(deng)(deng)(deng)商(shang)(shang)幫(bang)在歷史上的(de)(de)(de)業(ye)績和經(jing)商(shang)(shang)道德,將(jiang)永(yong)世(shi)不泯(min)!
龍游(you)商(shang)人(ren)初露頭角(jiao)于南宋,迨至明代(dai)已(yi)蔚(yu)為大(da)觀,萬歷(li)時(shi)已(yi)是“遍地龍游(you)”的局面,分布(bu)于全國各大(da)市場上。隆萬間(jian)(jian)任職知縣的萬廷謙就說(shuo)“龍丘之(zhi)民,往往湖口于四(si)方(fang)(fang),誦讀之(zhi)外(wai),農賈(jia)相半(ban)”。晚明時(shi)龍游(you)商(shang)人(ren)更是活躍,趨(qu)商(shang)者更眾。天(tian)(tian)啟時(shi),“龍游(you)之(zhi)民,多向天(tian)(tian)涯(ya)海角(jiao),遠(yuan)行商(shang)賈(jia),幾空縣之(zhi)半(ban),而居家(jia)耕種(zhong)者,僅當縣之(zhi)半(ban)。”至康(kang)乾(qian)(qian)間(jian)(jian),“其居家(jia)土著(zhu)者,不(bu)過十之(zhi)三(san)四(si)耳。”這當然是估計數(shu),不(bu)能作準確的計量(liang)分析,但(dan)總(zong)的趨(qu)勢(shi)是從(cong)嘉(jia)隆萬間(jian)(jian)龍游(you)商(shang)賈(jia)已(yi)遍布(bu)四(si)方(fang)(fang),至康(kang)雍乾(qian)(qian)間(jian)(jian)有增無減(jian)。
由于經商(shang)的(de)成功(gong),龍(long)游(you)商(shang)幫遂把財富返(fan)回家(jia)鄉,并將外地的(de)風(feng)(feng)尚也(ye)帶回龍(long)游(you),社會(hui)富庶(shu)(shu),消費需求增長,人皆曰俗之侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi)已不可挽回。隆萬時(shi)陸(lu)瓚就(jiu)說:“習尚昔固號儉嗇也(ye),今則日(ri)事于侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi)。”涂杰亦云:“服飾多(duo)用紗絹(juan),器皿多(duo)用金銀,侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi)相(xiang)(xiang)高(gao),已非一日(ri)。”“邑中室(shi)廬往稱樸素,萬歷中葉漸以雕琢相(xiang)(xiang)高(gao)。”社會(hui)心理是羨慕奢(she)華,愿向(xiang)生活(huo)(huo)(huo)水平(ping)高(gao)的(de)地方看齊(qi),競相(xiang)(xiang)仿效(xiao)。萬歷間已呈“俗侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi),尤效(xiao)慕三吳之豪”趨勢。生活(huo)(huo)(huo)穩定(ding)了,才有(you)可能向(xiang)蘇杭(hang)侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi)的(de)風(feng)(feng)尚仿效(xiao)。從這一側(ce)面也(ye)折射(she)出龍(long)游(you)商(shang)幫給龍(long)游(you)帶來(lai)經濟的(de)富庶(shu)(shu)和社會(hui)生活(huo)(huo)(huo)的(de)安定(ding)。風(feng)(feng)尚趨于侈(chi)靡(mi)(mi)是當時(shi)經濟社會(hui)進步的(de)表征。
龍游商幫與同時(shi)代(dai)其他商幫相(xiang)比(bi),它(ta)最大(da)特色和優點乃是(shi)富于開拓精神,不畏(wei)艱(jian)險,勇敢地(di)邁出(chu)家門,走出(chu)山(shan)區(qu),投向廣(guang)闊的天(tian)地(di),在闖蕩(dang)市場中,逐漸地(di)揚棄了“安(an)土重遷”、“骨肉相(xiang)附”的情結。它(ta)是(shi)明清時(shi)代(dai)最早(zao)走向西部開發(fa)的商壇勁旅。大(da)批(pi)離開土地(di)的農民(min)加(jia)入商賈行列,也(ye)有大(da)批(pi)舍儒從商之徒,他們“挾資以出(chu),守為恒(heng)業,即秦晉蜀滇萬里,視若比(bi)舍,俗有遍地(di)龍游之諺。”
明清時期經濟(ji)最發(fa)達地(di)區是長江(jiang)三角(jiao)洲(江(jiang)南(nan)(nan)(nan))和(he)珠江(jiang)三角(jiao)洲一(yi)帶(dai),秦晉滇(dian)蜀(shu)(shu)西部(bu)(bu)地(di)區相(xiang)對(dui)來(lai)說(shuo)較為(wei)后進,而(er)(er)龍游商(shang)(shang)幫不(bu)嫌西部(bu)(bu)經濟(ji)不(bu)發(fa)達,生活艱苦(ku),路途遙(yao)遠,行程險阻,以(yi)豪邁氣(qi)概視天涯海角(jiao)若比鄰,無(wu)遠而(er)(er)不(bu)屆,誠為(wei)天涯賈客。龍游商(shang)(shang)人李汝衡,攜絲綢經商(shang)(shang)于蜀(shu)(shu)楚(chu)。李維楨記:“李十二汝衡者,越(yue)之龍游人也(ye)。自其(qi)父(fu)鶴汀賈江(jiang)陵,迄今人與年蓋兩世(shi)矣。父(fu)子饒心計,趨(qu)時不(bu)失累。至汝衡而(er)(er)資益(yi)拓,所(suo)居積綺縠纻罽,窮四(si)方之珍異,車免舟轉轂以(yi)百數,所(suo)冠(guan)帶(dai)衣履,遍楚(chu)之十五(wu)郡。而(er)(er)善(shan)與時低昂,人或就之貰貸(dai)無(wu)所(suo)靳。……”童巨川偕其(qi)弟盛川于嘉靖間,在(zai)(zai)“宣(xuan)府大同貿(mao)易(yi)邊庭,……厥后子若侄(zhi)嗣其(qi)業,資利(li)益(yi)饒。”童氏數代在(zai)(zai)宣(xuan)大做(zuo)邊界(jie)貿(mao)易(yi)致巨富。最可值得(de)大書特書的(de)(de)是龍游商(shang)(shang)人群體挺進大西南(nan)(nan)(nan)滇(dian)省姚安等地(di)區開發(fa)。在(zai)(zai)明清時代交通條件(jian)下,攜妻帶(dai)子千萬里跋涉(she)至西南(nan)(nan)(nan)決非易(yi)事,非得(de)有(you)數月始可抵(di)達。驅(qu)動他(ta)們(men)長途跋涉(she)行動并非胸(xiong)懷開發(fa)西部(bu)(bu)的(de)(de)公益(yi)心,而(er)(er)利(li)益(yi)驅(qu)動倒(dao)是其(qi)原(yuan)動力。因(yin)為(wei)在(zai)(zai)江(jiang)南(nan)(nan)(nan)華南(nan)(nan)(nan)中原(yuan)等地(di)商(shang)(shang)業中競爭已不(bu)容易(yi),施展才能的(de)(de)空間畢(bi)竟有(you)限,他(ta)們(men)獲悉(xi)滇(dian)省尚有(you)大發(fa)展的(de)(de)前景(jing),所(suo)以(yi)才毅然前往,足見龍游商(shang)(shang)幫對(dui)商(shang)(shang)業信息還是靈通的(de)(de)。
明代(dai)成化元年就有(you)大批龍游商(shang)人(ren)偕同(tong)(tong)江右商(shang)人(ren)(江西安(an)福(fu))在云(yun)南邊陲姚(yao)安(an)等府經商(shang),姚(yao)安(an)即(ji)今楚雄(xiong)彝族自治(zhi)州一帶。語(yu)言不通(tong),生(sheng)(sheng)活(huo)習俗不同(tong)(tong),自然還(huan)會有(you)水土不服的(de)困難,但是(shi)他們能(neng)克(ke)服種(zhong)種(zhong)困難,準備長期生(sheng)(sheng)存下去,求得發展(zhan)。他們不是(shi)流(liu)民(min),而是(shi)有(you)眼光有(you)氣魄的(de)商(shang)賈,據官方史籍記載:
“成化元年(nian)(nian)(1465)十(shi)一(yi)月(yue)初(chu)七日禮部等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)衙門題為建(jian)言民(min)情等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)事,該湖廣布政(zheng)司等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)衙門右參議等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)官人(ren)(ren)等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)鄭(zheng)序等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)建(jian)言:……姚安軍民(min)府陰陽學(xue)正木甘理言一(yi)件,禁約游(you)(you)食(shi),初(chu)見(jian)云(yun)南遠在(zai)萬里(li),各邊(bian)衛(wei)(wei)指府軍民(min)相(xiang)參,山多田少,不(bu)(bu)通舟(zhou)車,近年(nian)(nian)雨水(shui)不(bu)(bu)調,五(wu)谷少收,米糧涌貴,過活艱難。有浙江(jiang)江(jiang)西等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)布政(zheng)司安福龍游(you)(you)等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)縣客商人(ren)(ren)等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)不(bu)(bu)下三(san)五(wu)萬人(ren)(ren)在(zai)衛(wei)(wei)府坐(生(sheng)(sheng))理,偏處城市鄉村(cun)屯堡安歇,生(sheng)(sheng)放錢債(zhai),利上生(sheng)(sheng)利,收債(zhai)米谷,賤買貴賣,娶(qu)妻生(sheng)(sheng)子(zi),置(zhi)買奴仆,游(you)(you)食(shi)無(wu)度,二三(san)十(shi)年(nian)(nian)不(bu)(bu)回原籍。……行云(yun)南按(an)察司著落(luo)各衛(wei)(wei)府查勘(kan)所屬(shu)鄉村(cun)屯堡城郭去處,但(dan)有江(jiang)西等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)處客民(min),不(bu)(bu)問(wen)從(cong)引新舊,盡數拿解原籍當差,不(bu)(bu)許托故稽遲及窩藏隱蔽,連(lian)歇家人(ren)(ren)等(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)(deng)一(yi)律(lv)治罪,庶使邊(bian)食(shi)稍寬(kuan),奸弊(bi)斯(si)革矣。前(qian)件云(yun)南按(an)察司查究(jiu)。”

明(ming)中央政府(fu)(fu)及當地政府(fu)(fu)官員守舊求穩,怕(pa)人口流動影響邊陲(chui)的社會治(zhi)安(an)(an)和糧食供應豐足,千方百計下令強制回(hui)遷這些在(zai)邊陲(chui)安(an)(an)家落戶“二三(san)十不回(hui)原(yuan)籍”的商民(min),采用“拿解(jie)原(yuan)籍當差”,這實是很不明(ming)智(zhi)的短(duan)視行(xing)為。官方行(xing)文如此,到底各(ge)級政府(fu)(fu)執行(xing)如何(he)?未(wei)見下文,估(gu)計龍(long)游(you)安(an)(an)福(fu)商民(min)仍會“屯堡安(an)(an)歇”、“娶妻生(sheng)子”而長期“生(sheng)理”下去,今之滇省遺(yi)民(min),必有血脈繁衍的安(an)(an)福(fu)龍(long)游(you)商人后裔。
商(shang)品、市(shi)場、商(shang)業,信(xin)(xin)息是社會經濟發(fa)展的(de)(de)重(zhong)要杠桿(gan)之一,明清時代(dai)的(de)(de)龍(long)游商(shang)幫已初步意識(shi)(shi)(shi)到它(ta)們的(de)(de)意義。他們利(li)用(yong)自己稟賦的(de)(de)知識(shi)(shi)(shi)和才能,窺(kui)測市(shi)場,注重(zhong)信(xin)(xin)息,挺身遠出,躋身于收(shou)益大(da)的(de)(de)珠寶業和海外貿(mao)易業,憑借自身的(de)(de)優勢,利(li)用(yong)知識(shi)(shi)(shi)經營(ying)印(yin)書(shu)業。他們意識(shi)(shi)(shi)到社會資源開(kai)發(fa)的(de)(de)價值,不辭萬里,融洽民族關系,“進(jin)軍”大(da)西南,開(kai)發(fa)滇省(sheng)姚(yao)安(an)地(di)區,采用(yong)雇傭制的(de)(de)方式經營(ying)邊陲的(de)(de)屯墾業。這是一種新的(de)(de)生產方式,是一大(da)創造,表明了(le)明清時代(dai)龍(long)游商(shang)幫具有無遠不屆、天涯(ya)賈客的(de)(de)大(da)無畏精神(shen),也展示(shi)了(le)他們走在時代(dai)前頭,具有先(xian)進(jin)的(de)(de)理念。他們對(dui)西部的(de)(de)開(kai)發(fa),作(zuo)出了(le)歷史(shi)性的(de)(de)貢獻(xian);它(ta)是中國歷史(shi)上真(zhen)正開(kai)發(fa)西部的(de)(de)先(xian)驅(qu)者。
