成長歷史

這個以戴(dai)白面具、白手(shou)套和(he)棒球帽著稱的舞團，在(zai)(zai)2003年成立於San Diego（圣迭戈)，團名典故源於「愛麗(li)斯夢游仙境之鏡(jing)中奇緣]Alice in wonderland的詩 。他(ta)們(men)最初(chu)多半在(zai)(zai)SD和(he)LA演出(chu)，2007年參加(jia)America's Got Talent第(di)二季的比(bi)賽后，知名度大增，2008年在(zai)(zai)America's Best Dance Crew以銳不可擋(dang)的氣勢(shi)奪下首季冠軍。

假(jia)面舞(wu)客(ke)這一團(tuan)隊(dui)創立(li)初衷是(shi)一群朋友想要展示(shi)自(zi)由風的舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)。在(zai)那個時代Hip-Hop風盛行，然而(er)到處都是(shi)一些風格(ge)相同的舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)團(tuan)隊(dui)，那些舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)者所表現的舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)就像是(shi)克(ke)隆(long)過(guo)一樣。“舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)為(wei)了跟隨音樂的節奏”和“舞(wu)蹈(dao)(dao)作為(wei)藝術表現形式”兩者之(zhi)間失去了平衡。因此就有了假(jia)面舞(wu)客(ke)的誕生(sheng)。

經由(you)《美(mei)國偶像(xiang) American Idol》評委Randy Jackson打造的《Randy Jackson Present America’s Best Dance Crew》結束了第一季的比賽，也誕(dan)生了第一只(zhi)美(mei)國最棒的舞蹈團(tuan)隊，這支團(tuan)隊就是JabbaWockeeZ。

JABBA早(zao)期是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)11個人(ren)(ren)，ABDC當時(shi)的(de)(de)比賽(sai)(sai)要(yao)求人(ren)(ren)數不能多于(yu)7個，他(ta)(ta)們(men)決定讓(rang)Gary，Phi，Rainen，Joe，Phil，KB，Chris7個人(ren)(ren)參(can)賽(sai)(sai)，但是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)Gary Kendell因肺炎(yan)去世(shi)了，他(ta)(ta)們(men)為了保留Gary的(de)(de)位置(zhi)，把參(can)賽(sai)(sai)人(ren)(ren)數定為6人(ren)(ren)，后來Joe的(de)(de)腳踝受傷(shang)了，于(yu)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)Ben代替(ti)他(ta)(ta)參(can)賽(sai)(sai)，所以到ABDC的(de)(de)時(shi)候是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)他(ta)(ta)們(men)6個人(ren)(ren)。他(ta)(ta)們(men)有(you)(you)些舞蹈中無論開(kai)頭還是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)結(jie)束都(dou)有(you)(you)指向天的(de)(de)動作，那是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)為了紀念(nian)逝去的(de)(de)隊友(you)。他(ta)(ta)們(men)的(de)(de)舞蹈表演人(ren)(ren)數因場地和(he)要(yao)求不斷(duan)改變。Jabbawockeez每個成員都(dou)有(you)(you)不同(tong)的(de)(de)舞蹈風格和(he)生活背景，這為整個團隊帶來了多元化的(de)(de)風格和(he)觀點。

特色

在ABDC比賽(sai)期間，評審Lil Mama毫不避諱(hui)地多次表示她超挺JabbaWockeeZ，Lil Mama對JabbaWockeeZ的評論是：「每次表演(yan)時，雖然你們的腳步踩得超穩，但是手(shou)部動作卻異常優(you)雅，這是你們與眾不同的特點，也是我愛(ai)JabbaWockeeZ的原因。」

假面(mian)舞客這個(ge)創(chuang)意來自于Joseph Larot, Kevin Brewer和(he)Phil Tayag三(san)個(ge)人。

成員

當(dang)時整個(ge)團隊還包括(kuo)另外五位成員(yuan)，他們共同創造了假面舞客的特殊風(feng)格。

這五位成員分別是：Randy Bernal, Ryan Ellis, Chris Gatdula, Gary Kendell, Rainen Paguio。

2004年，假面(mian)舞客的成員人數又增(zeng)加到了11個。

所增加的那四(si)位成(cheng)員分別為(wei)：Ben Chung, Eddie Gutierrez, Saso Jimenez和(he)Jeff "Phi” Nguyen。

BEN CHUNG AKA 'B-TEK'在2002年自UC Irvine畢業，他(ta)也曾(ceng)是Kaba Modern的(de)舞。

JabbaWockeeZ在(zai)參加(jia)ABDC之前甫(fu)遇團(tuan)員不幸(xing)逝世(shi)(shi)之慟。他(ta)們(men)在(zai)audition時便提到，他(ta)們(men)希望為逝世(shi)(shi)的團(tuan)員拿下冠軍，所以他(ta)們(men)每次表演或謝幕時常指著上方，象徵心永(yong)遠同在(zai)。

The group gained fame by appearing on America's Got Talent before winning the MTV hip hop dance reality series America's Best Dance Crew on March 27, 2008. The crew has won $100,000 and a touring contract after being crowned as America's Best Dance Crew in season one. The crew is known for wearing plain white masks and gloves and performing synchronized dance moves. Their name is derived from the Lewis Carroll poem Jabberwocky (featured in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland).

Originally the group that was going to compete on America's Best Dance Crew had seven members, including the late Gary Kendell. Unfortunately, Kendell passed away shortly before the group's start on the show America's Best Dance Crew due to pneumonia. The six JabbaWockeeZ members on the show told the judges during the Live Auditions Special that Gary was the "Yoda" of their crew and that they were doing the show for him. They have stated, "As a tribute to him we point our fingers in the air after each performance
