蔣(jiang)(jiang)錫(xi)(xi)震(zhen) 清代江蘇宜興人(ren)(ren)。蔣(jiang)(jiang)錫(xi)(xi)震(zhen)任慶(qing)云知(zhi)縣后(hou),慕名來(lai)到(dao)延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai),見(jian)臺(tai)(tai)上(shang)雜(za)草(cao)叢生(sheng),建(jian)在(zai)其(qi)上(shang)的(de)玉皇廟(miao)卻顯(xian)得富麗堂皇,不時(shi)有(you)(you)香客前來(lai)朝拜,蔣(jiang)(jiang)錫(xi)(xi)震(zhen)很是(shi)(shi)感慨,恐(kong)以(yi)(yi)后(hou)時(shi)間(jian)久遠(yuan)或再經建(jian)置(zhi)延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)被毀(hui)掉,欲將玉皇廟(miao)遷往別處(chu),以(yi)(yi)“令季子讓國之(zhi)賢(xian)與其(qi)葬子之(zhi)義表暴與人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)耳目,于(yu)以(yi)(yi)系(xi)民(min)思而(er)(er)存古道(dao)”。但玉皇廟(miao)搬遷之(zhi)事(shi)遭(zao)遇到(dao)來(lai)自鄉民(min)們反對而(er)(er)未能如愿,于(yu)是(shi)(shi)在(zai)延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)之(zhi)上(shang)立(li)(li)碑(bei)(bei)一通,即延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)碑(bei)(bei)。延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)碑(bei)(bei)正面(mian)為蔣(jiang)(jiang)錫(xi)(xi)震(zhen)同年(nian)(nian)范(fan)陽朱一鳳題(ti)(ti)寫(xie)的(de)“古延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)”4個(ge)大字,背面(mian)是(shi)(shi)蔣(jiang)(jiang)錫(xi)(xi)震(zhen)為碑(bei)(bei)題(ti)(ti)寫(xie)的(de)跋,詳細記述了立(li)(li)碑(bei)(bei)的(de)緣(yuan)由,碑(bei)(bei)文中(zhong)有(you)(you)“土阜巋然可(ke)徑畝”的(de)記載(zai),清代畝的(de)計量比(bi)現在(zai)略小,可(ke)見(jian)當時(shi)延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)土丘規模很大,有(you)(you)幾百平方米,玉皇廟(miao)建(jian)在(zai)上(shang)面(mian)也(ye)就不足為怪了。不久,玉皇廟(miao)住持請(qing)慶(qing)云人(ren)(ren)胡清(清雍正年(nian)(nian)間(jian)進士)專為玉皇廟(miao)題(ti)(ti)碑(bei)(bei)一筒,即高墓臺(tai)(tai)玉皇廟(miao)碑(bei)(bei),碑(bei)(bei)文中(zhong)有(you)(you)“若夫梵(fan)宇(yu)道(dao)院(yuan),何地蔑有(you)(you)?雖(sui)法相莊嚴,榱桷(jue)燦爛,縉紳先生(sheng)弗過問也(ye),今以(yi)(yi)古跡之(zhi)故莫不憑而(er)(er)吊之(zhi),是(shi)(shi)廟(miao)以(yi)(yi)墓顯(xian)矣(yi)。”的(de)記述,雖(sui)名為廟(miao)立(li)(li)碑(bei)(bei),但可(ke)以(yi)(yi)看出題(ti)(ti)碑(bei)(bei)者對家(jia)鄉古延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)及(ji)古圣先賢(xian)推崇之(zhi)意。兩塊(kuai)碑(bei)(bei)都(dou)立(li)(li)于(yu)康熙六十(shi)年(nian)(nian)(1722年(nian)(nian))農歷五月(yue),并(bing)都(dou)提到(dao)延(yan)(yan)陵(ling)(ling)臺(tai)(tai)在(zai)古縣志上(shang)有(you)(you)明確的(de)記載(zai)。
