普(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)位于(yu)澳(ao)門(men)(men)美(mei)副將大馬(ma)路,是(shi)(shi)澳(ao)門(men)(men)著名旅(lv)游景點(dian)之(zhi)一(yi),而(er)且(qie)來(lai)(lai)往(wang)交通極之(zhi)方便(bian)。觀音(yin)(yin)堂(tang)又稱普(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan),是(shi)(shi)澳(ao)門(men)(men)三大禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)規模宏大、歷(li)史悠(you)久(jiu)、占(zhan)地(di)廣闊(kuo)、建(jian)筑雄偉的(de)(de)(de)一(yi)家(jia)。建(jian)于(yu)明朝(chao)末年,是(shi)(shi)澳(ao)門(men)(men)現存(cun)最大及歷(li)史最悠(you)久(jiu)的(de)(de)(de)廟宇之(zhi)一(yi),距今約(yue)三百六十(shi)多年,廟貌巍峨(e),深入(ru)三進(jin),棋連幾座。觀音(yin)(yin)堂(tang)之(zhi)名聞遐邇,除在(zai)于(yu)其悠(you)久(jiu)歷(li)史以(yi)外(wai),更(geng)是(shi)(shi)簽署中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)美(mei)《望(wang)(wang)廈條(tiao)(tiao)約(yue)》的(de)(de)(de)地(di)方。禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)為中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國古飛式的(de)(de)(de)佛(fo)教建(jian)筑,具中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國名山古剎的(de)(de)(de)特(te)色,禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)首(shou)座是(shi)(shi)大雄寶殿,次殿是(shi)(shi)長壽佛(fo)殿,后座正殿是(shi)(shi)觀音(yin)(yin)殿。院(yuan)(yuan)后還有(you)廣闊(kuo)幽深的(de)(de)(de)后花園(yuan),是(shi)(shi)一(yi)座頗(po)具規模,港(gang)澳(ao)罕有(you)的(de)(de)(de)佛(fo)寺建(jian)筑群。除極具歷(li)史和藝術價值的(de)(de)(de)建(jian)筑和雕(diao)塑(su)之(zhi)外(wai),禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)還藏有(you)不(bu)少(shao)珍貴經(jing)卷(juan),以(yi)及名家(jia)留下的(de)(de)(de)字畫,均(jun)為澳(ao)門(men)(men)重要的(de)(de)(de)文物。禪(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)東面的(de)(de)(de)后花園(yuan),有(you)一(yi)株生態奇(qi)特(te)的(de)(de)(de)連理樹,吸引(yin)不(bu)少(shao)游客來(lai)(lai)觀賞,有(you)一(yi)張石(shi)(shi)桌(zhuo),四條(tiao)(tiao)石(shi)(shi)凳,清道光二十(shi)四年(1844年)的(de)(de)(de)“中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)美(mei)望(wang)(wang)廈條(tiao)(tiao)約(yue)”,即在(zai)此處簽訂。石(shi)(shi)桌(zhuo)石(shi)(shi)凳保存(cun),側面的(de)(de)(de)碑亭讓(rang)人重溫這段沉痛的(de)(de)(de)歷(li)史。
大(da)雄寶殿正對禪院,莊嚴宏(hong)緯(wei),供奉三尊三寶佛(fo)像,皆為丈八金身,魁梧雄偉(wei),其中之一為佛(fo)祖(zu)釋迦牟(mou)尼(ni),還(huan)有燃燈(deng)佛(fo)與彌勒(le)佛(fo)。
殿(dian)(dian)旁(pang)懸有一(yi)個銅鐘,古色斑(ban)駁,已有三(san)個半(ban)世紀的歷史(shi)。殿(dian)(dian)頂的頭(tou)瓦(wa)脊(ji),鑲有明朝琉璃瓦(wa)及精工(gong)鑲嵌的石灣公仔,栩栩如(ru)生,維(wei)肖維(wei)妙(miao)。 次殿(dian)(dian)是(shi)長壽佛(fo)(fo)殿(dian)(dian),供(gong)奉長壽佛(fo)(fo),佛(fo)(fo)像(xiang)安詳,象征佛(fo)(fo)陀普渡(du)眾生的精神(shen)。進入(ru)主殿(dian)(dian)觀(guan)音殿(dian)(dian),供(gong)奉觀(guan)音大士(shi)蓮臺,樟(zhang)木雕塑。十(shi)八羅(luo)漢(han)分列主殿(dian)(dian)兩旁(pang),雕工(gong)精細,造(zao)型神(shen)態(tai)活現,其(qi)中位于(yu)左面的一(yi)尊羅(luo)漢(han),眼睛浮(fu)突、鼻骨(gu)高隆、鬢曲,極(ji)像(xiang)外(wai)國(guo)人,據稱就(jiu)是(shi)意大利威尼斯人馬可索羅(luo),他曾(ceng)在中國(guo)研習佛(fo)(fo)理(li)。
觀(guan)音殿(dian)(dian)是禪院(yuan)的(de)正殿(dian)(dian),每(mei)逢觀(guan)音誕(dan)期(qi),殿(dian)(dian)內(nei)香(xiang)火鼎盛,善信絡繹不絕,場面(mian)熱鬧(nao)。觀(guan)音殿(dian)(dian)旁有一小庭(ting)園(yuan),圍繞著園(yuan)中的(de)蓮花池有十數盆栽,其中之一盆栽生長(chang)形態獨特,歷經數十寒暑,樹枝彎曲(qu)長(chang)成一個(ge)“壽(shou)”字,傳說善信只要(yao)手觸“壽(shou)”字,便可長(chang)命百歲。禪院(yuan)內(nei)進的(de)前廳掛有一幅(fu)畫像,人稱“大笑(xiao)佛(fo)”,無論從哪個(ge)方向欣賞畫像,佛(fo)像均咧嘴相視而笑(xiao)。
禪院內(nei)收藏了很多名家的(de)書畫、書法、文物,包括馳譽中(zhong)外畫壇的(de)嶺南派大師高劍(jian)父乃乃徒(tu)關(guan)山月,有嶺南三大詩家之稱的(de)陳恭(gong)尹(yin),著名學者章太炎等(deng)人,他(ta)們的(de)作品懸(xuan)掛(gua)于(yu)殿堂,供(gong)游(you)客欣賞。在院內(nei)僧舍客堂屏(ping)壁,雕花(hua)金飾(shi),而書法雕刻(ke),亦(yi)見清雅。兩度屏(ping)風,每度刻(ke)四(si)屏(ping)條,收米芾、董其昌、劉墉(yong)等(deng)歷代(dai)名人手跡(ji),刻(ke)工(gong)精細(xi)。步入后(hou)花(hua)園(yuan),有一花(hua)岡(gang)石桌和四(si)條長石凳,就(jiu)是簽訂中(zhong)美不平等(deng)條約──《望(wang)廈(sha)條約》的(de)地(di)方。1844年(nian),清政(zheng)府國勢日衰,列(lie)強覬覦,美國以顧盛為代(dai)表,與(yu)清欽差大臣耆(qi)英于(yu)澳門簽署《望(wang)廈(sha)條約》,強迫(po)中(zhong)國開放通商港口,擴大美領事(shi)裁判權。1944年(nian),禪院于(yu)石桌后(hou)方立一亭碑,記述(shu)此(ci)事(shi)。
在(zai)后(hou)山花園中的(de)連(lian)理(li)樹,是一(yi)棵有數百年(nian)樹齡(ling)的(de)高大榕樹,美髯飄拂,狀貌(mao)古拙(zhuo),高逾數丈。樹的(de)莖部四(si)株相(xiang)連(lian),造型頗似長(chang)頸(jing)鹿。近(jin)年(nian)不幸枯(ku)萎,但仍具吸引(yin)力。“連(lian)理(li)樹”的(de)命名(ming),取意于“在(zai)天愿為比(bi)翼鳥,在(zai)地愿為連(lian)理(li)枝”。有關此(ci)樹,流傳著一(yi)個哀怨動人的(de)故事,在(zai)觀音堂(tang)建廟之(zhi)初,附近(jin)有一(yi)雙情(qing)(qing)侶,因家庭反對成婚而(er)雙雙殉情(qing)(qing)自殺,死后(hou)合葬之(zhi)處長(chang)出這棵連(lian)理(li)樹,以表示愛情(qing)(qing)堅貞不渝(yu)及(ji)至死不離之(zhi)意。
普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院位(wei)(wei)(wei)于(yu)(yu)美(mei)副將大(da)馬(ma)路,是鬧市(shi)當中的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)一(yi)(yi)(yi)方(fang)(fang)凈土(tu)。她是澳門(men)最著名的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)古剎。由此(ci)憑高遠望,珠海清晰可見。昔日的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院在(zai)(zai)澳門(men)城外(wai)望廈村(cun)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)東(dong)面。相(xiang)傳(chuan)望廈村(cun)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)西(xi)邊有(you)一(yi)(yi)(yi)座(zuo)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音古廟(miao)(miao),為(wei)(wei)(wei)當地(di)(di)村(cun)民所建(jian),村(cun)外(wai)人(ren)(ren)不得(de)入寺參拜。明(ming)(ming)朝天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)年間(jian),有(you)位(wei)(wei)(wei)游方(fang)(fang)僧來到望廈村(cun),在(zai)(zai)村(cun)東(dong)荒地(di)(di)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)一(yi)(yi)(yi)棵(ke)樟樹上懸掛觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音菩薩的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)畫像,并且每天(tian)在(zai)(zai)樹下誦(song)經(jing),藉此(ci)化緣。當時寓居澳門(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)閩籍人(ren)(ren)士因(yin)為(wei)(wei)(wei)不能(neng)進入觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音寺,便與(yu)此(ci)僧一(yi)(yi)(yi)起誦(song)經(jing)。以(yi)(yi)后(hou)(hou),信徒便在(zai)(zai)此(ci)地(di)(di)集資(zi)興(xing)建(jian)了觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音堂(tang)(tang),這(zhe)座(zuo)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音堂(tang)(tang)就是普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)前身。鴉片戰爭以(yi)(yi)后(hou)(hou),葡(pu)萄牙政府將澳門(men)屬地(di)(di)逐步向(xiang)北(bei)擴展,并開辟了美(mei)副將大(da)馬(ma)路,占用了禪(chan)(chan)院門(men)前的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)空(kong)地(di)(di)。二十世紀五(wu)(wu)十年代(dai)(dai),這(zhe)一(yi)(yi)(yi)帶(dai)興(xing)建(jian)了多棟樓(lou)房,這(zhe)片清凈簡樸的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)郊野變(bian)成(cheng)(cheng)了熱鬧的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)街市(shi)。普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院占地(di)(di)很廣,寺廟(miao)(miao)巍峨(e)。寺門(men)前寫著“普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院”四字,兩旁的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)對(dui)聯為(wei)(wei)(wei):“貝葉傳(chuan)經(jing)西(xi)天(tian)竺(zhu)境,蓮華妙法南海潮音。”廟(miao)(miao)內(nei)有(you)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)堂(tang)(tang)多層。第(di)一(yi)(yi)(yi)重(zhong)(zhong)為(wei)(wei)(wei)大(da)雄寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)(dian),殿(dian)(dian)(dian)內(nei)供奉三(san)(san)世佛像。旁懸一(yi)(yi)(yi)口(kou)大(da)銅鐘,鑄(zhu)(zhu)于(yu)(yu)明(ming)(ming)代(dai)(dai)崇(chong)禎(zhen)五(wu)(wu)年。第(di)二重(zhong)(zhong)為(wei)(wei)(wei)長(chang)壽(shou)佛殿(dian)(dian)(dian)。第(di)三(san)(san)重(zhong)(zhong)為(wei)(wei)(wei)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)音殿(dian)(dian)(dian)。大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)西(xi)側依(yi)次(ci)為(wei)(wei)(wei)天(tian)后(hou)(hou)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、地(di)(di)藏(zang)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、語清殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、龍華堂(tang)(tang)、靜樂堂(tang)(tang)和祖(zu)師(shi)(shi)堂(tang)(tang)。大(da)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)東(dong)側依(yi)次(ci)為(wei)(wei)(wei)關帝(di)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、客(ke)堂(tang)(tang)、檀越堂(tang)(tang)。再(zai)向(xiang)東(dong)伸展還(huan)(huan)(huan)有(you)報(bao)恩堂(tang)(tang)、齋堂(tang)(tang)、方(fang)(fang)丈(zhang)室、藏(zang)經(jing)閣(ge)等(deng)。后(hou)(hou)面還(huan)(huan)(huan)有(you)幽靜的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)花園。普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)后(hou)(hou)山上有(you)棵(ke)百(bai)(bai)(bai)年歷(li)史的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)老榕樹,高數丈(zhang),綠(lv)葉婆(po)娑。這(zhe)棵(ke)榕樹四株相(xiang)連(lian),人(ren)(ren)稱(cheng)其(qi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)連(lian)理樹。此(ci)中流(liu)傳(chuan)著一(yi)(yi)(yi)個動人(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)故事(shi):三(san)(san)百(bai)(bai)(bai)年前,有(you)位(wei)(wei)(wei)吳姓少(shao)女與(yu)鄰村(cun)一(yi)(yi)(yi)位(wei)(wei)(wei)農(nong)家(jia)子相(xiang)戀。但是女方(fang)(fang)父母卻(que)嫌棄男方(fang)(fang)家(jia)窮(qiong)而加以(yi)(yi)阻攔,致(zhi)使(shi)兩人(ren)(ren)好夢難圓,二人(ren)(ren)于(yu)(yu)是相(xiang)約同縊(yi)于(yu)(yu)山崗上的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)一(yi)(yi)(yi)棵(ke)大(da)樹下。女方(fang)(fang)父母懊悔之(zhi)余(yu)乃(nai)答應讓(rang)兩人(ren)(ren)合(he)(he)葬。后(hou)(hou)來墓地(di)(di)上就長(chang)出(chu)了這(zhe)棵(ke)連(lian)理樹。此(ci)外(wai),花園后(hou)(hou)面的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高丘上還(huan)(huan)(huan)有(you)一(yi)(yi)(yi)座(zuo)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同塔(ta)(ta),塔(ta)(ta)內(nei)安放歷(li)代(dai)(dai)高僧的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)骨灰。普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同塔(ta)(ta)形如古墓,以(yi)(yi)石砌成(cheng)(cheng)。塔(ta)(ta)后(hou)(hou)立有(you)碑志:“本山至(zhi)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)三(san)(san)年由循智祖(zu)師(shi)(shi)斥(chi)衣(yi)缽資(zi)購下。崇(chong)禎(zhen)五(wu)(wu)年建(jian)斯普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同塔(ta)(ta)。雍正(zheng)癸(gui)酉(you),比丘天(tian)樹,乾(qian)隆丙午(wu),比丘靜持,同治癸(gui)酉(you),比丘暢瀾(lan),均重(zhong)(zhong)修之(zhi)。至(zhi)民國丙子,塔(ta)(ta)漸頹毀。比丘遐齡(ling)、比丘濟航經(jing)營之(zhi),遂成(cheng)(cheng)今觀(guan)(guan)(guan)焉。”除(chu)了普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同塔(ta)(ta)之(zhi)外(wai),后(hou)(hou)山還(huan)(huan)(huan)有(you)一(yi)(yi)(yi)座(zuo)八十二人(ren)(ren)合(he)(he)葬的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)墓冢(zhong)。1874年澳門(men)遭遇臺風(feng),死傷無數。事(shi)后(hou)(hou)將部(bu)分尸體合(he)(he)葬于(yu)(yu)沙(sha)崗。1905年,由于(yu)(yu)開辟馬(ma)路,因(yin)而將沙(sha)崗墓地(di)(di)遷移到普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)后(hou)(hou)山。普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院缺乏創立禪(chan)(chan)門(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)碑志記載,其(qi)初(chu)創時日已(yi)(yi)經(jing)難于(yu)(yu)確(que)考。寺內(nei)有(you)塊高四尺的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)石碑,中間(jian)刻有(you)“祀(si)壇”兩字,其(qi)下署(shu)日“天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年七月(yue)吉日立”。“天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年”即1627年。寺內(nei)還(huan)(huan)(huan)有(you)刻有(you)崇(chong)禎(zhen)五(wu)(wu)年(1632)鑄(zhu)(zhu)造字樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)一(yi)(yi)(yi)口(kou)大(da)鐘。根(gen)據這(zhe)兩條材料推斷,普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟禪(chan)(chan)院至(zhi)少(shao)已(yi)(yi)經(jing)有(you)三(san)(san)百(bai)(bai)(bai)六十余(yu)年的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)歷(li)史。
普濟禪(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)可以考知姓名的祖師(shi)為大(da)汕和尚(shang)(shang)。大(da)汕和尚(shang)(shang),字石濂,號(hao)石蓮。原(yuan)籍江(jiang)西南昌(chang),生(sheng)于(yu)明崇禎(zhen)六年(nian)(nian),十(shi)六歲時在蘇州(zhou)削發為僧,后移居廣州(zhou)長壽寺。他是位富有民族氣節的高僧。他募捐來的巨款除資助各(ge)地(di)寺院(yuan)(yuan)以外,還用以支持各(ge)地(di)反清義士。可惜晚年(nian)(nian)事發,于(yu)押(ya)解途中圓寂。時為康熙(xi)四十(shi)一年(nian)(nian)(1702),享年(nian)(nian)六十(shi)九(jiu)歲。他的畫像(xiang)供養(yang)在祖師(shi)堂內。大(da)汕和尚(shang)(shang)之后,暢(chang)瀾(lan)和尚(shang)(shang)接任住(zhu)持。暢(chang)瀾(lan)和尚(shang)(shang)深感寺域(yu)狹小,便發心募緣以擴建修葺寺院(yuan)(yuan)。此舉(ju)獲得當(dang)地(di)信徒的大(da)力(li)支持。清咸豐(feng)八(ba)年(nian)(nian)(1858)終于(yu)完工。自二十(shi)世紀三十(shi)年(nian)(nian)代(dai)開(kai)始,慧(hui)因(yin)和尚(shang)(shang)住(zhu)持普濟禪(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)長達半(ban)個世紀,為普濟禪(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)的發展做出了(le)重大(da)貢(gong)獻。為了(le)紀念慧(hui)因(yin)和尚(shang)(shang),1980年(nian)(nian)10月在后花園興(xing)建了(le)一座六角亭(ting)(ting),亭(ting)(ting)內放置一座高約兩米的慧(hui)因(yin)和尚(shang)(shang)像(xiang)供人(ren)瞻仰。

創(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)建(jian)(jian)于(yu)明(ming)崇禎五年(nian)(nian)(公(gong)元(yuan)1632年(nian)(nian))的(de)(de)(de)(de)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan),是(shi)(shi)澳(ao)門(men)(men)本(ben)(ben)土佛教(jiao)(jiao)有(you)(you)(you)史(shi)可考的(de)(de)(de)(de)最(zui)(zui)早(zao)記錄。關(guan)于(yu)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)始建(jian)(jian)年(nian)(nian)代(dai),眾(zhong)說(shuo)紛(fen)紜(yun)。有(you)(you)(you)人(ren)認(ren)(ren)為(wei)(wei)該寺(si)創(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)建(jian)(jian)于(yu)明(ming)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)年(nian)(nian)間,其(qi)(qi)根據(ju)(ju)(ju)是(shi)(shi)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)內(nei)(nei)存有(you)(you)(you)一(yi)塊名為(wei)(wei)“祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)石(shi)(shi)。據(ju)(ju)(ju)說(shuo)該碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)石(shi)(shi)“高逾四尺(chi),是(shi)(shi)花崗(gang)巖石(shi)(shi),俗稱麻(ma)石(shi)(shi),中(zhong)間刻著(zhu)‘祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)’兩個大(da)(da)字(zi),兩邊各有(you)(you)(you)一(yi)行(xing)小字(zi),一(yi)為(wei)(wei)‘天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年(nian)(nian)七月吉(ji)日立(li)’,一(yi)為(wei)(wei)‘南邑許(xu)望官(guan)喜舍’。”(注:李鵬翥著(zhu):《澳(ao)門(men)(men)古今(jin)》,三(san)(san)聯書(shu)店(dian)香(xiang)港分社(she)(she)(she)/澳(ao)門(men)(men)星(xing)光(guang)(guang)出(chu)版社(she)(she)(she),1986年(nian)(nian)11月第(di)1版,第(di)213頁。)又(you)據(ju)(ju)(ju)說(shuo),此小屋位(wei)于(yu)今(jin)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)慧因(yin)大(da)(da)師紀念亭一(yi)端(duan),屬(shu)游人(ren)止步的(de)(de)(de)(de)范圍。屋內(nei)(nei)還有(you)(you)(you)兩塊重修望廈(sha)(sha)祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)記:一(yi)塊立(li)于(yu)清朝(chao)道光(guang)(guang)十三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian)(公(gong)元(yuan)1823年(nian)(nian)),另一(yi)塊立(li)于(yu)清朝(chao)光(guang)(guang)緒(xu)八年(nian)(nian)(1882),碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)石(shi)(shi)上刻著(zhu):“普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)之(zhi)(zhi)建(jian)(jian)創(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)自(zi)明(ming)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年(nian)(nian)閩省(sheng)南邑許(xu)望冠所造也向在(zai)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)外之(zhi)(zhi)右”,“道光(guang)(guang)十三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian)集(ji)眾(zhong)捐資重修……將祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)遷建(jian)(jian)于(yu)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)內(nei)(nei)之(zhi)(zhi)花園俾香(xiang)煙(yan)有(you)(you)(you)賴且可免設司(si)祠之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)”(注:同(tong)上引(yin)書(shu),第(di)213-214頁。)。其(qi)(qi)實(shi),此“祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”原(yuan)本(ben)(ben)就(jiu)不是(shi)(shi)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)之(zhi)(zhi)物(wu)(wu)。據(ju)(ju)(ju)鄧(deng)《志(zhi)》卷三(san)(san)《壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)廟(miao)》說(shuo):“壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)則(ze)不屋,達天(tian)陽也;廟(miao)則(ze)不壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan),兼人(ren)享也;幽明(ming)屈(qu)伸之(zhi)(zhi)義(yi)也。國之(zhi)(zhi)大(da)(da)事在(zai)祀(si)(si)(si)與(yu)戎,祀(si)(si)(si)事孔明(ming),后世所忽……”申《志(zhi)》卷二(er)《壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)廟(miao)》所記與(yu)鄧(deng)《志(zhi)》基本(ben)(ben)相同(tong)。由此可證,此祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)確(que)本(ben)(ben)非廟(miao)中(zhong)之(zhi)(zhi)物(wu)(wu),本(ben)(ben)來(lai)是(shi)(shi)村(cun)(cun)(cun)民用來(lai)祭祀(si)(si)(si)無后的(de)(de)(de)(de)孤魂野鬼的(de)(de)(de)(de),在(zai)方志(zhi)中(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)正(zheng)名為(wei)(wei)“厲壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”。又(you)有(you)(you)(you)別名為(wei)(wei)“義(yi)祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”或“無祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”,如蓮峰(feng)廟(miao)旁(pang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)便有(you)(you)(you)此稱。所以,此祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)雖然現存于(yu)望廈(sha)(sha)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)花園內(nei)(nei),但(dan)其(qi)(qi)最(zui)(zui)初是(shi)(shi)與(yu)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)無涉,其(qi)(qi)紀年(nian)(nian)不可作禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)創(chuang)(chuang)(chuang)寺(si)之(zhi)(zhi)證,但(dan)卻可以為(wei)(wei)望廈(sha)(sha)村(cun)(cun)(cun)開(kai)村(cun)(cun)(cun)年(nian)(nian)代(dai)之(zhi)(zhi)證。由天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年(nian)(nian)“祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”之(zhi)(zhi)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)石(shi)(shi),可證望廈(sha)(sha)正(zheng)式開(kai)村(cun)(cun)(cun)立(li)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)就(jiu)在(zai)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)七年(nian)(nian)。此“祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”其(qi)(qi)實(shi)就(jiu)是(shi)(shi)設在(zai)望廈(sha)(sha)村(cun)(cun)(cun)村(cun)(cun)(cun)口的(de)(de)(de)(de)社(she)(she)(she)稷壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan),所謂(wei)開(kai)村(cun)(cun)(cun)立(li)社(she)(she)(she),兩者應是(shi)(shi)同(tong)時進行(xing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)。但(dan)自(zi)清道光(guang)(guang)以后至,人(ren)們便一(yi)直(zhi)誤認(ren)(ren)為(wei)(wei)祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)是(shi)(shi)屬(shu)于(yu)普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)之(zhi)(zhi)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei),其(qi)(qi)根本(ben)(ben)原(yuan)因(yin)就(jiu)在(zai)于(yu)清末以來(lai)已(yi)很少人(ren)知道明(ming)至清前期所實(shi)行(xing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)“壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)則(ze)不屋”和(he)“廟(miao)則(ze)不壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)原(yuan)則(ze)了。因(yin)此才有(you)(you)(you)為(wei)(wei)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)加屋甚至把壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)搬入廟(miao)內(nei)(nei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)現象(xiang)出(chu)現和(he)流行(xing)。再說(shuo),祀(si)(si)(si)壇(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)(tan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)性質和(he)含義(yi)本(ben)(ben)身更可證明(ming)其(qi)(qi)本(ben)(ben)非崇拜觀音的(de)(de)(de)(de)觀音堂亦即普(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪(chan)(chan)(chan)院(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)所應設的(de)(de)(de)(de)(注:此段參閱澳(ao)門(men)(men)大(da)(da)學(xue)譚世寶教(jiao)(jiao)授的(de)(de)(de)(de)打印稿。
既然不能以“祀壇”的(de)(de)(de)(de)年(nian)(nian)(nian)代確定普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)始(shi)(shi)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)年(nian)(nian)(nian)代,那(nei)么,前(qian)述該(gai)院(yuan)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)于崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)說(shuo)(shuo)法(fa)根據(ju)何在(zai)呢?證(zheng)據(ju)有二:一(yi)(yi)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)大(da)雄寶殿(dian)古(gu)(gu)銅(tong)鐘。李(li)鵬(peng)翥在(zai)《澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)古(gu)(gu)今(jin)》中說(shuo)(shuo):“普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)雄寶殿(dian),莊嚴(yan)宏偉(wei)(wei),內供三尊三寶佛像,俱是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)丈八金身,魁梧奇偉(wei)(wei);旁懸一(yi)(yi)個(ge)大(da)銅(tong)鐘,古(gu)(gu)色斑駁。原(yuan)來這個(ge)銅(tong)鐘在(zai)《香(xiang)山(shan)縣志(zhi)》中有所(suo)記載(zai):‘普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)鐘款,右鐘在(zai)澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)望廈(sha)村,款云(yun):崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)。’”(注:李(li)鵬(peng)翥著:《澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)古(gu)(gu)今(jin)》,三聯書店香(xiang)港(gang)分社(she)/澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)星光出(chu)版(ban)社(she),1986年(nian)(nian)(nian)11月(yue)(yue)第(di)1版(ban),第(di)215頁。)若此(ci)說(shuo)(shuo)屬(shu)實,則(ze)此(ci)廟始(shi)(shi)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)之年(nian)(nian)(nian)當為(wei)(wei)崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(1632)。因(yin)(yin)(yin)為(wei)(wei)銅(tong)鐘應(ying)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)立廟的(de)(de)(de)(de)基本(ben)必須用品之一(yi)(yi),而(er)且是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)長久性的(de)(de)(de)(de)耐(nai)用品,故開光啟(qi)(qi)用后無特別原(yuan)因(yin)(yin)(yin)就不會(hui)更置(zhi)。二是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)后山(shan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)寺普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同(tong)(tong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)。據(ju)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)上任(ren)(ren)住(zhu)持(chi)慧因(yin)(yin)(yin)在(zai)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)后的(de)(de)(de)(de)碑(bei)志(zhi)上稱:“本(ben)山(shan)自天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)三年(nian)(nian)(nian)由循智祖師(shi)(shi)斥(chi)(chi)衣(yi)缽(bo)資購下,崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)斯普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同(tong)(tong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)。雍正癸(gui)卯(mao)比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)天(tian)樹、乾隆丙午(wu)比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)靜持(chi)、同(tong)(tong)治癸(gui)酉(you)比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)暢瀾均重修之。至(zhi)民國(guo)丙子,塔(ta)(ta)(ta)漸(jian)頹毀,比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)遐齡、比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)濟(ji)(ji)航經(jing)營(ying)之,遂成(cheng)(cheng)今(jin)觀焉。”此(ci)碑(bei)志(zhi)所(suo)提供給(gei)我們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)明(ming)(ming)確信息,正如《澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)宗教》的(de)(de)(de)(de)作者之一(yi)(yi)鄭煒明(ming)(ming)所(suo)說(shuo)(shuo):“由此(ci)碑(bei)志(zhi)我們(men)可以推(tui)知普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)或最遲于明(ming)(ming)朝(chao)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)三年(nian)(nian)(nian)(1623)起已開始(shi)(shi)經(jing)營(ying),創(chuang)(chuang)院(yuan)祖師(shi)(shi)為(wei)(wei)循智大(da)師(shi)(shi),而(er)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同(tong)(tong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)則(ze)始(shi)(shi)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)于明(ming)(ming)崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(1632),立志(zhi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)慧因(yin)(yin)(yin)大(da)師(shi)(shi)乃普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)前(qian)任(ren)(ren)住(zhu)持(chi),他的(de)(de)(de)(de)說(shuo)(shuo)法(fa)應(ying)該(gai)可信。”(注:鄭煒明(ming)(ming)、黃啟(qi)(qi)臣著:《澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)宗教》,澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)門(men)(men)基金會(hui),1994年(nian)(nian)(nian)11月(yue)(yue)第(di)1版(ban),第(di)13頁。)至(zhi)于普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)創(chuang)(chuang)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)時(shi)間(jian),雖無明(ming)(ming)示,但給(gei)我們(men)提供了一(yi)(yi)些(xie)線(xian)索(suo)。創(chuang)(chuang)院(yuan)祖師(shi)(shi)循智大(da)師(shi)(shi)于天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)三年(nian)(nian)(nian)開始(shi)(shi)斥(chi)(chi)資經(jing)營(ying),九(jiu)年(nian)(nian)(nian)之后即(ji)崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同(tong)(tong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)成(cheng)(cheng),這一(yi)(yi)時(shi)間(jian)恰與(yu)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)大(da)銅(tong)鐘的(de)(de)(de)(de)款文相符。我們(men)是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)否可以做出(chu)這樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)推(tui)論(lun):普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)同(tong)(tong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)成(cheng)(cheng)時(shi)間(jian)就是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)普(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)濟(ji)(ji)禪院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)落成(cheng)(cheng)時(shi)間(jian),同(tong)(tong)在(zai)崇禎(zhen)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)。這樣規模的(de)(de)(de)(de)一(yi)(yi)座寺院(yuan),從(cong)籌劃至(zhi)建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)成(cheng)(cheng),歷(li)經(jing)九(jiu)年(nian)(nian)(nian)時(shi)間(jian),是(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)完全可能的(de)(de)(de)(de)。而(er)若因(yin)(yin)(yin)此(ci)認為(wei)(wei)“寺廟建(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)(jian)于明(ming)(ming)末(mo)天(tian)啟(qi)(qi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)間(jian),1623年(nian)(nian)(nian)投(tou)入(ru)使用”(注:李(li)桂玲編(bian)著:《臺港(gang)澳(ao)(ao)(ao)(ao)宗教概況》,東方出(chu)版(ban)社(she),1996年(nian)(nian)(nian)1月(yue)(yue)第(di)1版(ban),第(di)442頁。),則(ze)顯(xian)然屬(shu)于誤斷。
普(pu)濟禪(chan)院(yuan)是澳(ao)門最古老巨(ju)剎,歷史悠久(jiu)、規模宏大、建筑雄偉。《澳(ao)門紀略》曰(yue):“舊有(you)普(pu)濟禪(chan)院(yuan)。”《香山(shan)縣志(zhi)》亦云:“普(pu)濟禪(chan)院(yuan)在(zai)澳(ao)門望(wang)廈村。”普(pu)濟禪(chan)院(yuan),原名觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)堂(tang),在(zai)昔日望(wang)廈村的(de)東面,因供(gong)奉觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)菩(pu)薩而得名。在(zai)望(wang)廈村的(de)西面,原有(you)一所觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)古廟,是土著村民(min)所建,規模較(jiao)小,每逢觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)誕辰,只許本地村民(min)膜拜,排擠外地信眾,因此當時居澳(ao)的(de)福建籍(ji)人士便發起(qi)建成(cheng)比(bi)原古廟更(geng)為軒(xuan)昂(ang)的(de)觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)堂(tang)。觀音(yin)(yin)(yin)堂(tang)建成(cheng)后,三百多年來,幾經擴建,終于發展為規模巨(ju)大、莊嚴宏偉的(de)普(pu)濟禪(chan)院(yuan)。
