南城(cheng)區中心(xin)小學(xue)(xue),創辦于(yu)1997年(nian)(nian)9月,位于(yu)東(dong)莞新城(cheng)市(shi)中心(xin)區,原(yuan)名東(dong)莞陽(yang)光小學(xue)(xue),2000年(nian)(nian)12月被(bei)評為市(shi)一級(ji)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao),2002年(nian)(nian)9月學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)從(cong)莞城(cheng)區歸(gui)屬到南城(cheng)區管理,2003年(nian)(nian)被(bei)市(shi)教(jiao)育局批準更名為“東(dong)莞市(shi)南城(cheng)區中心(xin)小學(xue)(xue)”,同(tong)時(shi)可掛(gua)“東(dong)莞市(shi)南城(cheng)區陽(yang)光小學(xue)(xue)”的牌(pai)子。2004年(nian)(nian)12月被(bei)評為廣東(dong)省一級(ji)學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao),至今已有19年(nian)(nian)辦學(xue)(xue)歷(li)程。
學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)地(di)處東莞新城市中心(xin)區,是一所(suo)現代(dai)化(hua)新型學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)。占地(di)30765平(ping)方米(mi),建筑面(mian)積達23431平(ping)方米(mi),校(xiao)(xiao)園綠草如茵、環境優美(mei),文化(hua)濃郁,校(xiao)(xiao)舍(she)新穎美(mei)觀,布局合理。各(ge)種功能室和(he)教育(yu)教學(xue)(xue)設(she)施均按省一級學(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)標(biao)準配齊,基本實(shi)現了教學(xue)(xue)設(she)施標(biao)準化(hua)、辦公電腦化(hua)和(he)信息網絡化(hua)。
學(xue)校(xiao)現有45個(ge)教(jiao)學(xue)班,學(xue)生(sheng)2345人,專任(ren)教(jiao)師131人,專任(ren)教(jiao)師大專以上(shang)學(xue)歷(li)教(jiao)師比例(li)達(da)100%;其中(zhong)年齡在(zai)40歲以下的有79人,占教(jiao)師總人數的66%。教(jiao)師年輕(qing)化,學(xue)歷(li)層次高(gao),是(shi)該校(xiao)師資結(jie)構的一大特色。
