概述
原是(shi)一座很完整的組群建(jian)筑,位于五臺縣(xian)城東(dong)西米市(shi)街是(shi)按我國一般佛教(jiao)寺院坐北向南而(er)建(jian)。占地面(mian)積(ji)883平方米,中軸(zhou)線(xian)上有(you)二進院落,三座殿(dian)(dian)宇(yu)。依(yi)次為山門、文殊(shu)殿(dian)(dian)、大(da)雄寶殿(dian)(dian)。其中以(yi)大(da)雄寶殿(dian)(dian)規模最大(da),面(mian)寬5間。鐘、鼓(gu)樓建(jian)在文殊(shu)殿(dian)(dian)兩旁(pang),左右配殿(dian)(dian)、廂房環抱,共計16問(wen),每(mei)邊為8間。紅墻綠(lv)瓦,端莊幽雅。建(jian)國后,新(xin)建(jian)縣(xian)博物館,寺院前部分(fen)建(jian)筑拆除,只存一座大(da)雄寶殿(dian)(dian)。
發展歷史
廣濟寺(si)位居(ju)的五臺(tai)城,歷(li)史悠久,在(zai)舊石器時代就有人類居(ju)住。西(xi)漢(han)置慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)縣(xian)(xian)(xian),隸(li)(li)太(tai)原郡(jun)。因發源于(yu)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)城西(xi)北(bei)(bei)15公里的慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)山下里底村的慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)水(shui)(shui)東(dong)(dong)南(nan)流經縣(xian)(xian)(xian)城注入(ru)清(qing)水(shui)(shui)河(he)而(er)得名(ming)。慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)古城遺址在(zai)今古城村北(bei)(bei)。三(san)(san)國時屬(shu)魏國,隸(li)(li)太(tai)原郡(jun)。西(xi)晉時縣(xian)(xian)(xian)廢(fei)。北(bei)(bei)魏太(tai)和十(shi)年(nian)(486)置驢(lv)(lv)(lv)夷縣(xian)(xian)(xian),隸(li)(li)永(yong)安(an)郡(jun)。慮(lv)與驢(lv)(lv)(lv)音近,虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)古音夷,在(zai)慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)城南(nan)新建驢(lv)(lv)(lv)夷城。城周長三(san)(san)里二(er)十(shi)步,東(dong)(dong)、南(nan)臨慮(lv)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)水(shui)(shui),西(xi)、北(bei)(bei)有池,東(dong)(dong)、南(nan)、北(bei)(bei)三(san)(san)面(mian)為陡崖,縣(xian)(xian)(xian)城小(xiao)而(er)堅(jian),地形陡絕,高不可攻,宜于(yu)防(fang)守。北(bei)(bei)齊時,驢(lv)(lv)(lv)夷縣(xian)(xian)(xian)屬(shu)雁門(men)郡(jun)管(guan)轄(xia)。隋煬帝大業三(san)(san)年(nian)(607),改(gai)名(ming)五臺(tai)縣(xian)(xian)(xian)。金貞(zhen)虒(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)四年(nian)(1216)升為臺(tai)州。明洪(hong)武九年(nian)(1376)復(fu)為五臺(tai)縣(xian)(xian)(xian),屬(shu)代州管(guan)轄(xia)。
五臺縣城(cheng)在明(ming)清兩代(dai)屢次增(zeng)修(xiu)。明(ming)隆慶(qing)四(si)年(nian)(1570)建(jian)南、北二樓(lou),外(wai)筑(zhu)廓垣(yuan)。明(ming)萬歷(li)二十四(si)年(nian)(1596)增(zeng)修(xiu)大(da)垣(yuan)高三丈(zhang)二尺,厚(hou)二丈(zhang)五尺,垛口635個(ge),堞臺20座,門(men)3座。明(ming)萬歷(li)三十三年(nian)(1605)增(zeng)修(xiu)城(cheng)樓(lou)4座。城(cheng)門(men)題(ti)名,南門(men)謂大(da)安門(men),樓(lou)匾(bian)“虒波環清”;西門(men)謂恩綸門(men),樓(lou)匾(bian)“金湯鞏(gong)固”;北門(men)謂寧(ning)門(men),樓(lou)匾(bian)“臺山拱翠”;東門(men)樓(lou)匾(bian)“起鳳(feng)”。
建筑布局
大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian)面(mian)寬5間(jian),進深3問,單檐(yan)(yan)懸(xuan)山頂(ding),殿(dian)前有月臺,面(mian)積290平方米。該殿(dian)雖幾經局部(bu)(bu)重修,但梁架結構和(he)(he)用(yong)柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)方法仍(reng)保存了原狀。柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)頭覆盆式,各柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)微(wei)向內(nei)傾(qing),置(zhi)成(cheng)“側角”,造成(cheng)“升起”。這種做法增強了梁架的(de)(de)(de)穩固力。屋頂(ding)坡度較平緩,檐(yan)(yan)下柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)頭四(si)鋪作(zuo)斗(dou)拱(gong)(gong),自(zi)櫨斗(dou)斗(dou)口出平直的(de)(de)(de)假昂一(yi)跳(tiao),昂背置(zhi)交(jiao)(jiao)互斗(dou),耍頭與撩檐(yan)(yan)枋(fang)相交(jiao)(jiao),后(hou)尾承樺拱(gong)(gong)托四(si)椽。補間(jian)鋪作(zuo)每間(jian)一(yi)朵斜(xie)拱(gong)(gong),后(hou)尾托平棋枋(fang)。殿(dian)之前檐(yan)(yan)下懸(xuan)有“大雄(xiong)寶殿(dian)”豎(shu)匾(bian)一(yi)塊,為乾(qian)隆四(si)十三年(nian)(1778)重修廣濟寺時懸(xuan)掛的(de)(de)(de)。殿(dian)內(nei)徹上露(lu)明造。為適應宗教(jiao)禮(li)拜活動和(he)(he)擴大內(nei)部(bu)(bu)空間(jian)的(de)(de)(de)使用(yong)面(mian)積,金(jin)柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)的(de)(de)(de)配(pei)置(zhi),采用(yong)減柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)法,前槽(cao)不設金(jin)柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu),后(hou)槽(cao)只用(yong)粗大的(de)(de)(de)兩根金(jin)柱(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)承托內(nei)額(e),大內(nei)額(e)之上承四(si)椽。殿(dian)內(nei)正中懸(xuan)木(mu)匾(bian),上書“天人(ren)和(he)(he)益”,為五臺知縣王秉韜于乾(qian)隆四(si)十三年(nian)(1778)書。
殿內保存有(you)泥塑(su)像30尊,基本完好(hao)。主像3尊,供(gong)奉在前(qian)面的(de)佛(fo)臺(tai)(tai)上(shang),結跏趺坐于須彌座蓮臺(tai)(tai)上(shang)。正中釋迦(jia)牟尼佛(fo),頭上(shang)藍(lan)色螺發盤旋,臉形圓潤(run),身(shen)(shen)軀肥(fei)碩,上(shang)身(shen)(shen)袒胸,身(shen)(shen)披袈裟,衣(yi)紋(wen)簡潔流暢。兩(liang)側塑(su)二(er)弟子阿(a)難、迦(jia)葉,嚴(yan)謹安祥。左邊文(wen)殊菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa),右(you)(you)邊普(pu)賢菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa),面目豐腴,寬衣(yi)博帶(dai),束發蓮冠(guan),給人(ren)以藝術之美感(gan)。這3尊像合(he)稱為“華(hua)嚴(yan)三圣”。文(wen)殊菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)和普(pu)賢菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)兩(liang)側,塑(su)脅侍菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)兩(liang)尊,他們項戴瓔(ying)珞,臂(bei)飾(shi)寶釧,容貌(mao)健美。佛(fo)臺(tai)(tai)前(qian)兩(liang)側塑(su)有(you)韋馱、伽藍(lan),相對而立,威(wei)武雄(xiong)壯,好(hao)象在履行自己的(de)護法(fa)職守(shou)。東西(xi)兩(liang)山墻下(xia)塑(su)有(you)十八羅漢,有(you)仰有(you)俯(fu),有(you)喜有(you)怒,姿態各(ge)異,栩栩如(ru)生。佛(fo)臺(tai)(tai)背面正中塑(su)文(wen)殊菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)騎(qi)獅子,左邊塑(su)觀音菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)騎(qi)朝天吼,右(you)(you)邊塑(su)普(pu)賢菩(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)騎(qi)白象,合(he)稱“三大士(shi)”。“士(shi)”者“事(shi)”也(ye),即從事(shi)自利利他的(de)人(ren)。
大雄寶(bao)殿的(de)塑像為元至正年(nian)間(1335-1340)的(de)遺物。由于受元代戰亂影響,雕刻家發揮技(ji)藝的(de)機遇受到限(xian)制,佛(fo)體欠莊嚴,像似俗骨人相,肉體表現較重(zhong),像似寫(xie)實作風,佛(fo)的(de)精神已(yi)看(kan)不出多少。但是(shi),塑像盡(jin)管出手不高,仍(reng)屬(shu)不可多得(de)的(de)作品。
佛教三圣
大雄(xiong)寶殿的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)彩塑是(shi)(shi)“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”,那(nei)(nei)么(me),“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)思(si)想(xiang)(xiang)、造像(xiang)源(yuan)于何時何人(ren)(ren)?于此(ci)(ci)作(zuo)一解釋。“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)思(si)想(xiang)(xiang)、造像(xiang)源(yuan)于五臺山(shan),是(shi)(shi)五臺山(shan)僧人(ren)(ren)對(dui)佛(fo)(fo)教文(wen)化(hua)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)巨大貢(gong)獻。當初,唐(tang)代五臺山(shan)著(zhu)名的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)居士李(li)通(tong)玄(xuan)至(zhi)大華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)寺研習《華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)經(jing)》,提(ti)出了(le)“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)思(si)想(xiang)(xiang),他(ta)說(shuo)(shuo)毗(pi)(pi)盧(lu)遮那(nei)(nei)佛(fo)(fo)、文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)菩薩(sa)、普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)菩薩(sa)是(shi)(shi)《華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)經(jing)》中的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)三(san)(san)(san)位(wei)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者,這(zhe)三(san)(san)(san)人(ren)(ren)構成(cheng)(cheng)——法界之(zhi)體。這(zhe)一法界具有三(san)(san)(san)德(de)(de):毗(pi)(pi)盧(lu)遮那(nei)(nei)佛(fo)(fo)是(shi)(shi)法身的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)德(de)(de),文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)是(shi)(shi)因(yin)位(wei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)德(de)(de),普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)是(shi)(shi)因(yin)位(wei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)行(xing)德(de)(de)。他(ta)們之(zhi)間的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)關系(xi)是(shi)(shi):一、總(zong)別關系(xi);二(er)(er)、主(zhu)伴(ban)關系(xi);三(san)(san)(san)、因(yin)果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)關系(xi);四、體用關系(xi)等。而(er)后大華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)寺的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高僧澄(cheng)觀國(guo)(guo)師繼承和發展了(le)李(li)通(tong)玄(xuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)這(zhe)一“三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”思(si)想(xiang)(xiang),提(ti)出了(le)“三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)圓融(rong)觀”。他(ta)說(shuo)(shuo):“三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者,本師毗(pi)(pi)盧(lu)遮那(nei)(nei)如來(lai)(lai),普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)、文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)二(er)(er)大菩薩(sa)是(shi)(shi)也(ye)。”他(ta)還說(shuo)(shuo):“三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)內,二(er)(er)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)為(wei)因(yin),如來(lai)(lai)為(wei)果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)。”文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)、普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)二(er)(er)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)法門互相(xiang)融(rong)通(tong)。他(ta)們至(zhi)佛(fo)(fo)果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)之(zhi)因(yin)已經(jing)完成(cheng)(cheng),因(yin)之(zhi)立(li)場(chang)與果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)之(zhi)立(li)場(chang)同一,且(qie)歸屬(shu)于佛(fo)(fo)果(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)境界。由是(shi)(shi)文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)、普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)和毗(pi)(pi)盧(lu)遮那(nei)(nei)佛(fo)(fo)就融(rong)為(wei)一體了(le)。澄(cheng)觀國(guo)(guo)師的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)“三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)圓融(rong)觀”思(si)想(xiang)(xiang)被他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高足圭峰宗密運用于實踐,并按澄(cheng)觀國(guo)(guo)師之(zhi)意(yi)創(chuang)造了(le)以毗(pi)(pi)盧(lu)遮那(nei)(nei)佛(fo)(fo)居中,文(wen)殊(shu)(shu)、普(pu)(pu)賢(xian)(xian)居其兩旁的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”造像(xiang)。從(cong)此(ci)(ci)“華(hua)嚴(yan)(yan)(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)(san)圣(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)造像(xiang)就應用而(er)生了(le)。
李通玄居(ju)士、澄觀國師、圭(gui)峰宗密三(san)(san)人(ren)都是(shi)五臺山華(hua)嚴學的奠(dian)基人(ren),“華(hua)嚴三(san)(san)圣”的思(si)想、造(zao)像都是(shi)他(ta)們(men)創造(zao)的。這是(shi)他(ta)們(men)對五臺山佛教文化(hua)的巨大貢獻。
“華嚴三圣”中的(de)(de)(de)(de)毗盧遮那佛,是(shi)(shi)不可說不可得的(de)(de)(de)(de)法(fa)身佛,他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)凈土叫華藏(zang)(zang)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),這個世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)最下為風(feng)輪,風(feng)輪之上(shang)有香水海(hai),海(hai)水中生大蓮花(hua),蓮花(hua)中包(bao)藏(zang)(zang)有微(wei)塵數之世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),故稱(cheng)蓮花(hua)藏(zang)(zang)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),略稱(cheng)華藏(zang)(zang)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)。華藏(zang)(zang)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)教主是(shi)(shi)毗盧遮那佛。他(ta)有兩個最得力的(de)(de)(de)(de)助手(shou),一是(shi)(shi)他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)左(zuo)脅侍(shi)文(wen)殊菩薩(sa),專司(si)智(zhi)德,另一是(shi)(shi)他(ta)的(de)(de)(de)(de)右脅侍(shi)普賢菩薩(sa),專司(si)理德。
大雄寶殿前立八角(jiao)形經(jing)幢(chuang)一座,通高(gao)4米,下施扁平的須彌座,每面雕獅。幢(chuang)身(shen)八面,都(dou)有造像(xiang),刀法簡潔古(gu)樸(pu),經(jing)幢(chuang)銘文已漫漶不(bu)清。幢(chuang)身(shen)之上(shang)覆以寶蓋,周(zhou)圍淺(qian)雕幾何圖案,繞以瓔(ying)珞。寶蓋以上(shang)施覆缽和(he)寶珠。建幢(chuang)年代(dai)不(bu)詳,從形體和(he)雕刻技術上(shang)看,可能屬(shu)唐制,但不(bu)能超(chao)越(yue)唐代(dai)。因為《尊(zun)勝(sheng)陀羅尼(ni)經(jing)》是唐高(gao)宗(zong)時佛陀波(bo)利來華始譯的。
附近景觀群
五臺(tai)縣城四周,被5座小(xiao)臺(tai)頂(ding)(ding)環抱。東(dong)面(mian)有(you)(you)東(dong)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),亦(yi)名小(xiao)東(dong)臺(tai),海(hai)拔(ba)1414米(mi)(mi),臺(tai)頂(ding)(ding)面(mian)積(ji)5平方(fang)公(gong)里(li)(li)。山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)頂(ding)(ding)有(you)(you)峰(feng)火臺(tai),山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)西北(bei)有(you)(you)閣(ge)子嶺隘口(kou),古稱“閣(ge)道(dao)穿云”,為五臺(tai)八景之(zhi)一。西有(you)(you)紫羅山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),位于(yu)縣城西南(nan)(nan)4公(gong)里(li)(li)處,山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)勢(shi)挺拔(ba)俊(jun)秀(xiu),人(ren)稱小(xiao)西臺(tai),海(hai)拔(ba)1284米(mi)(mi),山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)上(shang)(shang)舊有(you)(you)道(dao)院(yuan),廢(fei)之(zhi)久矣。金代(dai)道(dao)士姬志之(zhi)重建,名“明(ming)陽觀(guan)”。金代(dai)詩(shi)人(ren)元(yuan)好問(wen)曾臨觀(guan)游覽,作《明(ming)陽觀(guan)記(ji)》,并建駘臺(tai)神(shen)廟(miao)。山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)下有(you)(you)金代(dai)侍郎張大節和忻州刺史張天(tian)叟古墓。縣城東(dong)南(nan)(nan)面(mian)有(you)(you)南(nan)(nan)神(shen)垴,孤峰(feng)突起,層巒(luan)屏立,人(ren)稱小(xiao)南(nan)(nan)臺(tai),海(hai)拔(ba)1217米(mi)(mi),臺(tai)頂(ding)(ding)面(mian)積(ji)1平方(fang)公(gong)里(li)(li)。此地(di)是漢文帝劉恒曾游獵的地(di)方(fang),后人(ren)在垴上(shang)(shang)建代(dai)王(wang)廟(miao),亦(yi)稱漢文祠。現今(jin)祠已不在,廟(miao)跡猶在。北(bei)面(mian)有(you)(you)青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)垴,亦(yi)名小(xiao)北(bei)臺(tai),海(hai)拔(ba)1557米(mi)(mi),山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)上(shang)(shang)有(you)(you)一座小(xiao)廟(miao),內供一男(nan)一女(nv)兩尊彩(cai)塑,女(nv)的清秀(xiu)端莊,謂(wei)之(zhi)青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)圣母;男(nan)的魁悟英俊(jun),謂(wei)之(zhi)青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)爺爺。4小(xiao)峰(feng)之(zhi)中有(you)(you)文昌(chang)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),亦(yi)名峰(feng)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),人(ren)稱小(xiao)中臺(tai),海(hai)拔(ba)1242米(mi)(mi)。山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)上(shang)(shang)有(you)(you)文昌(chang)廟(miao),山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)下東(dong)側有(you)(you)明(ming)萬歷年(nian)間、名震中州、“天(tian)下清官(guan)第二員”的楊夢弼墓。
廣(guang)濟寺這(zhe)一元(yuan)代建筑,為我國光輝燦爛(lan)的(de)古(gu)代文化(hua)的(de)一部分。它是研究我國建筑史(shi)、雕塑(su)史(shi)的(de)重要(yao)實物(wu)資料(liao),也(ye)是接待(dai)國內外(wai)客人參觀、游(you)覽的(de)重要(yao)場所。
