紐伯瑞(rui)兒(er)(er)童文學(xue)(xue)獎(jiang)(jiang)（Newbery Medal），又稱紐伯瑞(rui)獎(jiang)(jiang)。1922年，由美(mei)國圖書(shu)館學(xue)(xue)會(hui)（American Library Association- ALA）的分(fen)支機構——美(mei)國圖書(shu)館兒(er)(er)童服務學(xue)(xue)會(hui)(Association for Library Service to Children-ALSC)創(chuang)設(she)了紐伯瑞(rui)兒(er)(er)童文學(xue)(xue)獎(jiang)(jiang)（The Newbery Medal for Best Children's Book）。每年頒發一(yi)次，專門獎(jiang)(jiang)勵上一(yi)年度出版的英(ying)語兒(er)(er)童文學(xue)(xue)優秀作品。
紐(niu)伯(bo)(bo)瑞(rui)(rui)(rui)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)文學(xue)(xue)獎(jiang)（Newbery Medal），又稱紐(niu)伯(bo)(bo)瑞(rui)(rui)(rui)獎(jiang)。1713年(nian)，紐(niu)伯(bo)(bo)瑞(rui)(rui)(rui)出(chu)生在(zai)英國農家(jia)。他(ta)是自學(xue)(xue)成才的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)文學(xue)(xue)作(zuo)家(jia)和出(chu)版家(jia)。1744年(nian)他(ta)編寫并出(chu)版了(le)世(shi)界(jie)上第(di)(di)一(yi)本專門(men)的(de)(de)(de)、價格低廉的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)書——《美麗小(xiao)書》；他(ta)開辦了(le)世(shi)界(jie)上第(di)(di)一(yi)家(jia)專門(men)的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)讀物印(yin)刷廠、世(shi)界(jie)上第(di)(di)一(yi)家(jia)專門(men)的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)書店，從此(ci)他(ta)不(bu)斷改進，印(yin)刷發行了(le)許多精美的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)圖書，深受兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)喜歡，由于他(ta)打破(po)當時保守的(de)(de)(de)風氣，崇尚的(de)(de)(de)“快樂至上”的(de)(de)(de)兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)教(jiao)育觀念(nian)，開辟(pi)英美兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)文學(xue)(xue)之(zhi)路，所(suo)以后人(ren)稱紐(niu)伯(bo)(bo)瑞(rui)(rui)(rui)為——兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)文學(xue)(xue)之(zhi)父，紐(niu)伯(bo)(bo)瑞(rui)(rui)(rui)的(de)(de)(de)貢獻對于兒(er)(er)(er)(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)文學(xue)(xue)，可以說是個重要的(de)(de)(de)里程碑。
為了(le)表彰和紀(ji)念紐伯(bo)瑞(rui)在(zai)艱(jian)苦卓絕(jue)中對歐美(mei)(mei)兒(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)文(wen)學(xue)的開創(chuang)之(zhi)功，1922年，由美(mei)(mei)國圖(tu)書館(guan)學(xue)會（American Library Association-ALA）的分支(zhi)機構——美(mei)(mei)國圖(tu)書館(guan)兒(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)服務學(xue)會(Association for Library Service to Children-ALSC)創(chuang)設了(le)紐伯(bo)瑞(rui)兒(er)童(tong)(tong)(tong)文(wen)學(xue)獎（The Newbery Medal for Best Children's Book）。
