學(xue)校前身(shen)為(wei)(wei)龍(long)山(shan)(shan)書院(yuan),始(shi)(shi)建于1758年(nian)(nian),1911年(nian)(nian)辛亥革(ge)命(ming)后(hou)易名為(wei)(wei)隆都高(gao)等小學(xue)堂,1932年(nian)(nian)改(gai)制為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)縣(xian)立二(er)區(qu)第(di)一初級(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),解(jie)放后(hou)改(gai)稱為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)縣(xian)第(di)一初級(ji)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),開(kai)始(shi)(shi)逐步擴辦高(gao)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)教育,1956年(nian)(nian)更(geng)名為(wei)(wei)龍(long)山(shan)(shan)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),其后(hou)曾先后(hou)易名為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)縣(xian)紅(hong)一中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)、沙(sha)溪中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue),至1978年(nian)(nian)復稱為(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)市龍(long)山(shan)(shan)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)。龍(long)山(shan)(shan)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)歷(li)(li)史悠久,創立至今經歷(li)(li)246年(nian)(nian)風雨滄桑。歷(li)(li)史上為(wei)(wei)國家培養了(le)不少棟梁之才,他們有的任職于省(sheng)、市、鎮的各(ge)級(ji)領導(如現任廣(guang)東(dong)人(ren)民政府常務(wu)副省(sheng)長湯炳權同志),有的成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)著名專(zhuan)家、學(xue)者(zhe)、大學(xue)教授(如中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)山(shan)(shan)大學(xue)生(sheng)物科學(xue)院(yuan)院(yuan)長胡玉佳(jia)教授),也(ye)有的成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)國內外的工商業巨子、知名企業家,可謂芬芳滿校園,桃李遍天(tian)下。
