廣(guang)(guang)寧中學(xue)創(chuang)建(jian)于1930年8月(yue)。學(xue)校占地面積84324平(ping)(ping)方米,校舍建(jian)筑面積39561平(ping)(ping)方米,現(xian)有(you)(you)教學(xue)大樓、科(ke)學(xue)樓、辦公樓、學(xue)生宿舍大樓、教師宿舍樓共12幢;有(you)(you)地理園(yuan)和生物園(yuan)各1個;有(you)(you)400、200米跑道運動場(chang)各1個、水泥籃球場(chang)3個、羽毛球場(chang)2個、室(shi)(shi)(shi)內(nei)(nei)體(ti)育運動場(chang)1個。科(ke)學(xue)樓內(nei)(nei)現(xian)有(you)(you)各學(xue)科(ke)實(shi)(shi)驗室(shi)(shi)(shi)、語(yu)音實(shi)(shi)驗室(shi)(shi)(shi)、多媒體(ti)電教室(shi)(shi)(shi)、電子閱(yue)覽(lan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)、軟件(jian)制(zhi)作(zuo)室(shi)(shi)(shi)、視控中心(xin)、多媒體(ti)電腦室(shi)(shi)(shi)、勞技室(shi)(shi)(shi)、校史展覽(lan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)、美術室(shi)(shi)(shi)、音樂室(shi)(shi)(shi)、閱(yue)覽(lan)室(shi)(shi)(shi)、藏書(shu)室(shi)(shi)(shi)共30間(jian),有(you)(you)藏書(shu)96880冊,并建(jian)立(li)了(le)校園(yuan)信息網(wang)絡,建(jian)成了(le)廣(guang)(guang)寧中學(xue)網(wang)站(zhan),配置(zhi)了(le)7個電教平(ping)(ping)臺。
馮(feng)肇光(1899一1951 ),別名隱韜,今東鄉鎮黃坪里仁村人。
民(min)國3年(1914)畢(bi)業于縣城文治學(xue)(xue)堂。秋,考(kao)入省(sheng)立第四中(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(今肇(zhao)慶中(zhong)學(xue)(xue))就讀。
畢業后,于民國7年遠渡重(zhong)洋留學(xue)法(fa)國巴黎政治(zhi)大學(xue)經濟(ji)系,獲碩士學(xue)位。
民(min)國(guo)(guo)17年回(hui)國(guo)(guo),先后(hou)任廣(guang)州中山大學法(fa)科(ke)講師、國(guo)(guo)立廣(guang)東法(fa)學院教授(shou)兼黃(huang)埔軍校(xiao)政治(zhi)教官、廣(guang)州市參議等(deng)職。
民國19年(nian)春,任省教育廳秘書(shu)、第(di)四科(ke)科(ke)長。秋,為了發展家鄉教育事業,造福桑樣,毅然回到廣寧(ning)。 在籌建(jian)廣寧(ning)初級中學時(shi),說(shuo)服鄉村父老,把潭布(bu)嚴桐的祖嘗田產(年(nian)收(shou)租(zu)谷2000石)賣掉,將款(kuan)捐獻給(gei)寧(ning)中建(jian)校。
學校建成后(hou),出任(ren)廣(guang)寧中學校長(chang)。任(ren)職期間,處(chu)處(chu)以身作則,與教師同(tong)甘共(gong)苦,對學生嚴格要(yao)求,循循善(shan)誘,深得師生們(men)的愛(ai)戴。
抗日戰爭爆發,他經(jing)常(chang)組織學生利用課余時間,深入(ru)圩(wei)鎮(zhen)、鄉(xiang)村,宣(xuan)傳抗日救國的道理,培養(yang)出不少的進步(bu)同學。
民國30年調廣(guang)雅中(zhong)學(廣(guang)州淪陷后遷信宜)任(ren)校長。
民國34年任省教育(yu)廳督學。次年任省銳志中學校長。
民國36年,競選國大代表失敗。
民國37年1—8月,任廣寧縣縣長。
次年(nian)任西江中學(xue)校長。

辦學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)八十(shi)(shi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)來,廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)的(de)發(fa)展日新(xin)月異,教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)質量穩步提高,歷年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)高考(kao)均取得可喜的(de)成(cheng)績(ji)(ji)。2001年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)省教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)廳評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省一級學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)”。1997年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)縣(xian)(xian)總工(gong)會(hui)(hui)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“職業(ye)道(dao)德(de)建(jian)(jian)設(she)十(shi)(shi)佳先進集體(ti)”,1998年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)省體(ti)委(wei)(wei)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“群眾體(ti)育(yu)(yu)(yu)先進單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”,被(bei)市(shi)(shi)(shi)體(ti)委(wei)(wei)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“貫(guan)徹執行學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)體(ti)育(yu)(yu)(yu)衛(wei)生工(gong)作(zuo)兩個《條例》先進學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)”,1999年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)肇慶市(shi)(shi)(shi)委(wei)(wei)市(shi)(shi)(shi)政(zheng)府(fu)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“依法治校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)先進單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”;被(bei)縣(xian)(xian)委(wei)(wei)縣(xian)(xian)政(zheng)府(fu)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“文明(ming)(ming)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”;2000年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)肇慶市(shi)(shi)(shi)委(wei)(wei)市(shi)(shi)(shi)政(zheng)府(fu)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“文明(ming)(ming)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”和(he)(he)“創建(jian)(jian)美(mei)麗校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)園(yuan)(yuan)活動先進單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”。同(tong)(tong)時(shi)被(bei)評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)縣(xian)(xian)“十(shi)(shi)佳職業(ye)道(dao)德(de)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”和(he)(he)“文明(ming)(ming)窗(chuang)口(kou)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)”、“花園(yuan)(yuan)式(shi)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)”。學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)黨總支部、團委(wei)(wei)、工(gong)會(hui)(hui)、婦(fu)委(wei)(wei)獲市(shi)(shi)(shi)縣(xian)(xian)多(duo)次獎勵;從1993年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)開始,年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)獲市(shi)(shi)(shi)“高考(kao)成(cheng)績(ji)(ji)優(you)秀獎”。1998年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師節前夕(xi),在(zai)縣(xian)(xian)人(ren)民政(zheng)府(fu)召(zhao)開的(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師座談(tan)會(hui)(hui)上,原縣(xian)(xian)委(wei)(wei)書(shu)記彭錦泉同(tong)(tong)志向(xiang)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)局領導提議,號召(zhao)全(quan)縣(xian)(xian)中(zhong)(zhong)小學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)向(xiang)廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)習。之后,廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)縣(xian)(xian)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)局作(zuo)出(chu)(chu)《關于開展向(xiang)廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)習活動的(de)決(jue)定》。在(zai)這《決(jue)定》中(zhong)(zhong),特別指(zhi)出(chu)(chu):“近(jin)幾年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)來,廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)全(quan)面貫(guan)徹黨的(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)方針,堅(jian)持(chi)社會(hui)(hui)主義辦學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)方向(xiang),積極推(tui)行教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)改革,重視(shi)領導班子建(jian)(jian)設(she),抓好師德(de)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu),嚴格學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)管理(li),優(you)化育(yu)(yu)(yu)人(ren)環境,實施(shi)素質教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)各項工(gong)作(zuo)都取得了輝煌的(de)成(cheng)績(ji)(ji)”。2002年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省考(kao)試中(zhong)(zhong)心(xin)定為(wei)(wei)(wei)“廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省全(quan)國教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)統(tong)一考(kao)試定點考(kao)場”。2003年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)中(zhong)(zhong)國教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)會(hui)(hui)“十(shi)(shi)五(wu)(wu)”課題《優(you)質教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)研究(jiu)》實驗基(ji)地和(he)(he)“廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省現(xian)(xian)代教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)技術(shu)實驗學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)”。2006年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)(wei)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)部中(zhong)(zhong)央電教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)館“十(shi)(shi)一五(wu)(wu)”重點研究(jiu)課題《利用現(xian)(xian)代信息技術(shu)加強學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)、家(jia)庭和(he)(he)社區協同(tong)(tong)教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)研究(jiu)》實驗學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)和(he)(he)中(zhong)(zhong)國基(ji)礎教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)網絡實驗學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)。2009年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)被(bei)廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)育(yu)(yu)(yu)廳評(ping)(ping)(ping)為(wei)(wei)(wei)廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省中(zhong)(zhong)小學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)本培訓(xun)示范學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)、《師資建(jian)(jian)設(she)》教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)師發(fa)展學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)。此外,廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)還先后榮(rong)獲廣(guang)(guang)(guang)東(dong)(dong)省“群眾體(ti)育(yu)(yu)(yu)先進單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”、肇慶市(shi)(shi)(shi)“教(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)(jiao)書(shu)育(yu)(yu)(yu)人(ren)先進集體(ti)”、肇慶市(shi)(shi)(shi)“文明(ming)(ming)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”、“花園(yuan)(yuan)式(shi)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”、廣(guang)(guang)(guang)寧(ning)(ning)(ning)縣(xian)(xian)“文明(ming)(ming)窗(chuang)口(kou)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”、“政(zheng)風行風建(jian)(jian)設(she)滿意(yi)單(dan)(dan)位(wei)(wei)”等光榮(rong)稱號。
廣寧(ning)中學(xue)創(chuang)建于1930年,初時校名(ming)為(wei)廣寧(ning)縣立中學(xue)。
1956年學校更名為廣(guang)寧第一中學;1958年廣(guang)寧、四會合縣(xian),學校更名為廣(guang)四縣(xian)南街中學。
1960年學校改名為廣(guang)寧縣廣(guang)寧中學。
1969年學(xue)校改名為五七中學(xue)。
1977年初校(xiao)名恢復為(wei)廣寧(ning)中(zhong)學,并確定為(wei)縣重點中(zhong)學。
1999年被(bei)定(ding)為市重(zhong)點中學。
2001年(nian)7月(yue)(yue)寧城中學(xue)撤(che)并至(zhi)廣寧中學(xue),成為(wei)學(xue)校初(chu)中部(bu),2007年(nian)2月(yue)(yue)初(chu)中部(bu)分離;2003年(nian)廣寧縣實驗中學(xue)撤(che)并至(zhi)廣寧中學(xue),成為(wei)學(xue)校東校區(qu),2007年(nian)7月(yue)(yue)東校區(qu)分離。
