1979年(nian)，加入樂隊Clannad，擔(dan)任鍵盤手。
1982年，因厭倦(juan)樂隊的流(liu)行取向而離(li)開Clannad。后與樂隊Nicky Ryan及Roma Ryan（作(zuo)詞人(ren)）組成3人(ren)創作(zuo)群(qun)，繼續開創個人(ren)事業。
1986年(nian)，為電影(ying)《青蛙王子(zi)》寫配樂，開始個人音(yin)樂生涯；同年(nian)，為紀錄片《The Celts》做(zuo)配樂；隨后，發行原聲專輯《Enya》。

1995年11月，推出專(zhuan)輯《The Memory Of Trees》。
1997年，發行第一張(zhang)精選輯(ji)《The Best Of ENYA-Paint the Sky with Stars》；之后，又發行3碟(die)裝(zhuang)禮盒CD《The box of dream》夢(meng)幻音(yin)樂盒。
2000年，發(fa)行(xing)專(zhuan)輯《A Day Without Rain》。
