USNews發布了2017全球最佳大學排名，這也是USNews第三次發布全球大學排名。2017年US News的全球最佳大學排名致力于讓人們了解那些全球頂尖學府在全球范圍中的定位。它不僅對每個大學的本科及研究生教育水平進行整合，并對學校的學術研究與業界聲譽做出準確且綜合的評價。和2016年榜單一樣，哈佛大學、麻省理工學院依然位居冠亞軍。和去年不同的是，斯坦福和加大伯克利換了個位置。斯坦福上升一位至第三名，伯克利則下降一名。普林斯頓大學進入前十，由2016年的13升至第8，芝加哥大學跌出TOP10排名13，加州理工學院進入Top5。美國大學包攬前五名。
