佛(fo)教寺(si)院竹(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)寺(si)曾為(wei)清代臺(tai)灣(wan)佛(fo)教三(san)(san)大名(ming)剎之一。清初至民國初年,該(gai)寺(si)為(wei)臺(tai)灣(wan)佛(fo)教徒(tu)崇仰的(de)中(zhong)心,有(you)重要影(ying)響。竹(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)寺(si)前臨(lin)溪(xi)(xi)流,沿畔(pan)幽篁成蔭。三(san)(san)川門(men)(men)、拜殿(dian)(dian)(dian)、主殿(dian)(dian)(dian)與后殿(dian)(dian)(dian)均為(wei)三(san)(san)層樓,屋(wu)頂(ding)采(cai)歇山重詹(zhan)的(de)宮(gong)殿(dian)(dian)(dian)布局(ju),飾有(you)斗栱、彩繪、雀替(ti)、重詹(zhan)等華(hua)麗雕琢,兩側還有(you)鐘鼓樓及禪(chan)房,內(nei)(nei)部采(cai)西式(shi)結(jie)構(gou),大門(men)(men)則為(wei)落地窗,外(wai)觀呈中(zhong)西合(he)璧,白(bai)墻綠瓦佇立于溪(xi)(xi)谷低(di)地,形勢壯闊雄偉,僅存(cun)山門(men)(men)為(wei)昔(xi)日舊構(gou),燕脊重詹(zhan),紅(hong)磚黑瓦、鏤(lou)空雕花,上書“竹(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)古寺(si)”,顯得格(ge)外(wai)古樸。正殿(dian)(dian)(dian)是大雄寶殿(dian)(dian)(dian),供奉(feng)釋迦(jia)牟尼(ni)佛(fo);后殿(dian)(dian)(dian)為(wei)觀音殿(dian)(dian)(dian),左(zuo)右羅列十八羅漢,旁祀媽(ma)祖、關帝神像;兩尊白(bai)象雄踞拜殿(dian)(dian)(dian)前左(zuo)右兩側,益(yi)增禪(chan)林氣(qi)息。竹(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)寺(si)歷史悠久,寺(si)內(nei)(nei)題詩、聯句和匾額相當多,大雄寶殿(dian)(dian)(dian)內(nei)(nei)所懸“了然世界”,名(ming)列府城三(san)(san)大名(ming)匾,頗富禪(chan)意。
臺灣(wan)(wan)省(sheng)古(gu)老(lao)的(de)寺(si)(si)(si)院(yuan)。位于(yu)臺南(nan)市區(qu)。創建(jian)(jian)(jian)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代眾說(shuo)紛紜,一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)說(shuo)建(jian)(jian)(jian)于(yu)明(ming)(ming)·永歷十(shi)五(wu)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1661),或說(shuo)十(shi)八(ba)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)末、十(shi)九年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)初(chu);一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)說(shuo)清(qing)(qing)(qing)·康熙二(er)十(shi)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1683所(suo)(suo)建(jian)(jian)(jian),或說(shuo)三(san)(san)(san)十(shi)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)。初(chu)名(ming)小西天(tian)寺(si)(si)(si),以寺(si)(si)(si)旁綠竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)茂密(mi),林中溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)流激湍,故又名(ming)竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)。后(hou)遭(zao)風雨侵蝕,堂宇陳腐(fu)不堪,經(jing)清(qing)(qing)(qing)·乾隆、嘉慶、光緒年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)間(jian)的(de)三(san)(san)(san)度維修,寺(si)(si)(si)貌煥然一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)新;復(fu)經(jing)民初(chu)以來歷代住持的(de)增建(jian)(jian)(jian),遂(sui)具今(jin)日規模(mo)。本寺(si)(si)(si)與(yu)開元、法華(hua)二(er)寺(si)(si)(si)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)清(qing)(qing)(qing)末至民初(chu),全(quan)臺灣(wan)(wan)佛教的(de)大(da)本營。竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)原(yuan)名(ming)小西天(tian)寺(si)(si)(si),因(yin)臨(lin)竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)而改名(ming)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si),位在(zai)巿區(qu)南(nan)側(ce),建(jian)(jian)(jian)于(yu)明(ming)(ming)永歷年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)間(jian)。竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)歷經(jing)多次(ci)整修,現(xian)貌為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)中西合璧,與(yu)原(yuan)貌大(da)不相同;屋頂采宮殿(dian)式,大(da)門為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)西式落(luo)地窗,造型(xing)特(te)別。正殿(dian)大(da)雄寶殿(dian),供奉釋迦牟(mou)尼(ni)佛;后(hou)殿(dian)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)觀(guan)(guan)音,羅列十(shi)八(ba)羅漢,旁祀媽祖、關(guan)帝神像(xiang)。竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)歷史悠久。值(zhi)得(de)前往觀(guan)(guan)覽。竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)依(yi)山傍水(shui),竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)潺(chan)潺(chan)流過,上(shang)有吊橋連(lian)對岸,溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)畔繁花(hua)茂盛(sheng),竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)林蒼翠,頗為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)清(qing)(qing)(qing)幽。臺灣(wan)(wan)較早(zao)的(de)寺(si)(si)(si)院(yuan)。永歷三(san)(san)(san)十(shi)七(qi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)即清(qing)(qing)(qing)·康熙二(er)十(shi) 二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(1683)鄭(zheng)成功裔孫鄭(zheng)克(ke)塽降清(qing)(qing)(qing),經(jing)設(she)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)府(fu)三(san)(san)(san)縣,府(fu)名(ming)臺灣(wan)(wan)府(fu),縣為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)臺灣(wan)(wan)、鳳山及諸羅等三(san)(san)(san)縣。康熙三(san)(san)(san)十(shi)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)臺灣(wan)(wan)府(fu)第(di)(di)(di)二(er)任(ren)知(zhi)府(fu)吳國柱(zhu)倡議于(yu)寺(si)(si)(si)旁建(jian)(jian)(jian)書(shu)院(yuan),士庶輦石輸材,諭禁不能止,稱為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)書(shu)院(yuan),經(jing)塑肖像(xiang)祀焉。此據清(qing)(qing)(qing)領(ling)后(hou)十(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian),即康熙三(san)(san)(san)十(shi)三(san)(san)(san)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)較早(zao)纂修《臺灣(wan)(wan)府(fu)志(zhi)》有所(suo)(suo)記載。該志(zhi)對清(qing)(qing)(qing)領(ling)后(hou)創建(jian)(jian)(jian)之各(ge)寺(si)(si)(si)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代均有記述(shu),竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)則未記,似非在(zai)清(qing)(qing)(qing)領(ling)十(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)內新建(jian)(jian)(jian),因(yin)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代已久,修志(zhi)時(shi)已無法查考,或未便明(ming)(ming)記所(suo)(suo)致,其(qi)創建(jian)(jian)(jian)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代即可(ke)證實系建(jian)(jian)(jian)自(zi)明(ming)(ming)鄭(zheng)時(shi)期。又據三(san)(san)(san)十(shi)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)第(di)(di)(di)二(er)任(ren)臺灣(wan)(wan)府(fu)同知(zhi)齊(qi)體物所(suo)(suo)詠竹(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)(si)詩,有梵宮偏得(de)占(zhan)(zhan)名(ming)山,屼作蠻州第(di)(di)(di)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)觀(guan)(guan)之句,其(qi)含義為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)此寺(si)(si)(si)占(zhan)(zhan)得(de)名(ming)山且(qie)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)臺島之第(di)(di)(di)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)寺(si)(si)(si)院(yuan)。
全臺灣看起(qi)來(lai),要以竹溪寺(si)(si)(si)(si)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)大殿(dian)(dian)為(wei)較最大,寺(si)(si)(si)(si)內(nei)主佛(fo)(fo)為(wei)觀(guan)音菩薩,寺(si)(si)(si)(si)廟的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)布局(ju)大多是(shi)(shi)正(zheng)(zheng)面(mian)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)路為(wei)山門(men),山門(men)內(nei)左(zuo)(zuo)右分(fen)別為(wei)鐘(zhong)樓(lou)、鼓樓(lou),正(zheng)(zheng)面(mian)是(shi)(shi)天王(wang)殿(dian)(dian),殿(dian)(dian)內(nei)有(you)四(si)大金剛塑(su)像,后(hou)(hou)面(mian)依次為(wei)大雄(xiong)(xiong)寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)和(he)(he)藏經(jing)樓(lou),僧房、齋(zhai)堂(tang)則(ze)分(fen)列(lie)正(zheng)(zheng)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)路左(zuo)(zuo)右兩側(ce)。大雄(xiong)(xiong)寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)是(shi)(shi)佛(fo)(fo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)重(zhong)要、龐大的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu),大雄(xiong)(xiong)即為(wei)佛(fo)(fo)祖(zu)釋加牟尼。隋唐以前(qian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)佛(fo)(fo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si),一(yi)(yi)般在(zai)(zai)(zai)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)前(qian)或(huo)宅院(yuan)(yuan)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)心造塔(ta),隋唐以后(hou)(hou),佛(fo)(fo)殿(dian)(dian)普(pu)遍代替了佛(fo)(fo)塔(ta),寺(si)(si)(si)(si)廟內(nei)大都(dou)另辟塔(ta)院(yuan)(yuan)。中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)佛(fo)(fo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)不論(lun)規模地點,其(qi)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)布局(ju)是(shi)(shi)有(you)一(yi)(yi)定(ding)規律(lv)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de):平(ping)面(mian)方形(xing)(xing)(xing),以山門(men)殿(dian)(dian)——天王(wang)殿(dian)(dian)——大雄(xiong)(xiong)寶(bao)殿(dian)(dian)——本寺(si)(si)(si)(si)主供(gong)菩薩殿(dian)(dian)——法堂(tang)——藏經(jing)樓(lou)這條南北縱深軸線來(lai)組織空間,對稱穩重(zhong)且整(zheng)飭嚴謹。沿(yan)著這條中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)軸線,前(qian)后(hou)(hou)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)起(qi)承(cheng)轉合(he)(he),宛若一(yi)(yi)曲前(qian)呼后(hou)(hou)應(ying)(ying)、氣韻生動的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)樂章(zhang)。中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)廟的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)之(zhi)美(mei)就(jiu)響應(ying)(ying)在(zai)(zai)(zai)群山、松柏(bo)、流水、殿(dian)(dian)落與亭廊的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)相互呼應(ying)(ying)之(zhi)間,含(han)蓄(xu)溫蘊,展示出組合(he)(he)變幻所(suo)(suo)(suo)賦(fu)予的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)和(he)(he)諧、寧(ning)靜及韻味。中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)古(gu)人(ren)在(zai)(zai)(zai)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)格(ge)局(ju)上(shang)有(you)很深的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)陰陽宇宙(zhou)觀(guan)和(he)(he)崇尚對稱、秩序、穩定(ding)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)審美(mei)心理。因(yin)此中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)佛(fo)(fo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)融合(he)(he)了中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)特有(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)祭(ji)祀祖(zu)宗、天地的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)功能。此外(wai),園林式建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)格(ge)局(ju)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)佛(fo)(fo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)在(zai)(zai)(zai)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)也(ye)較普(pu)遍。這兩種藝術格(ge)局(ju)使中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)寺(si)(si)(si)(si)院(yuan)(yuan)既有(you)典雅莊重(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)廟堂(tang)氣氛,又極富自然(ran)情趣,且意境深遠。寺(si)(si)(si)(si)廟建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)全國(guo)(guo)(guo)各地比比皆(jie)是(shi)(shi),不論(lun)是(shi)(shi)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)規模,還是(shi)(shi)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)藝術都(dou)是(shi)(shi)被中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)外(wai)旅游者所(suo)(suo)(suo)稱絕(jue)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)。天王(wang)殿(dian)(dian)兩側(ce)是(shi)(shi)四(si)大天王(wang)彩(cai)塑(su)像,高各八米,個(ge)個(ge)身披(pi)重(zhong)甲。其(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)兩個(ge)形(xing)(xing)(xing)態威(wei)武,兩個(ge)神(shen)色和(he)(he)善,俗稱四(si)大金剛。看這座(zuo)門(men)樓(lou),它高達(da)20米,寬4.5米,全系青、白崗石砌疊而(er)成的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),是(shi)(shi)一(yi)(yi)個(ge)三層(ceng)穹形(xing)(xing)(xing)頂(ding)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)尖拱門(men),分(fen)外(wai)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)、內(nei)三層(ceng),在(zai)(zai)(zai)外(wai)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)兩層(ceng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)上(shang)部都(dou)有(you)青石作(zuo)圓形(xing)(xing)(xing)穹頂(ding),有(you)著和(he)(he)我國(guo)(guo)(guo)古(gu)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)“藻井”相類(lei)似(si)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)石構圖案,頂(ding)蓋采(cai)用(yong)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)(guo)(guo)傳統的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)蓮(lian)花圖案,門(men)樓(lou)正(zheng)(zheng)額橫嵌阿拉伯文浮雕石刻,寫道:“真主秉公(gong)作(zuo)證(zheng),除他外(wai),絕(jue)無應(ying)(ying)受崇拜的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de);眾天神(shen)和(he)(he)一(yi)(yi)般學者,也(ye)這樣(yang)作(zuo)證(zheng),除他外(wai),絕(jue)無應(ying)(ying)受崇拜的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),他是(shi)(shi)萬能的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),是(shi)(shi)至(zhi)睿(rui)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)(suo)喜悅的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)宗教(jiao),石刻,上(shang)面(mian)記載(zai)著竹溪寺(si)(si)(si)(si)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)創(chuang)建(jian)(jian)年代重(zhong)修時(shi)間以及較早的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)名稱,門(men)樓(lou)頂(ding)層(ceng)是(shi)(shi)望(wang)(wang)月(yue)臺,決(jue)定(ding)起(qi)齋(zhai)日期的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)地方,臺的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)周圍三面(mian)建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)(zhu)回(hui)字形(xing)(xing)(xing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)垛子,像城堞(die)一(yi)(yi)樣(yang),別有(you)風致,平(ping)臺上(shang)原來(lai)還有(you)望(wang)(wang)月(yue)樓(lou)和(he)(he)尖塔(ta),清朝初年倒(dao)坍了。
竹(zhu)溪寺依(yi)山傍(bang)水,松柏(bo)長青,花草遍地,山後水庫截河十幾里,碧波粼粼,涵照(zhao)萬(wan)象。進了山門(men)(men),拾(shi)級而升(sheng),各(ge)殿門(men)(men)前(qian)(qian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)漢白(bai)玉石(shi)獅威(wei)猛無比(bi),正殿內(nei)(nei)供奉威(wei)儀莊(zhuang)嚴(yan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)貼金(jin)諸佛(fo)菩(pu)薩尊者(zhe)像(xiang)(xiang),端(duan)莊(zhuang)肅穆。偏殿供藥(yao)殿佛(fo)、地藏菩(pu)請看(kan)這里是(shi)寺內(nei)(nei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)宣禮塔的(de)(de)(de)(de)塔址,當(dang)年,宣禮塔塔形如柱,高(gao)聳奇偉,殿正中(zhong),佛(fo)祖釋(shi)迦(jia)牟(mou)尼(ni)像(xiang)(xiang)高(gao)踞蓮(lian)花座之(zhi)上,妙(miao)相(xiang)莊(zhuang)嚴(yan),頷首俯視(shi),令(ling)人(ren)(ren)(ren)敬畏(wei)。這是(shi)中(zhong)國較高(gao)大的(de)(de)(de)(de)木(mu)雕(diao)坐式佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)之(zhi)一。釋(shi)祖像(xiang)(xiang)后壁為(wei)《五(wu)(wu)十三(san)(san)參(can)》彩(cai)繪群(qun)塑(su)(su),共有(you)姿態各(ge)異的(de)(de)(de)(de)大小佛(fo)教(jiao)塑(su)(su)像(xiang)(xiang)一百五(wu)(wu)十尊,表現的(de)(de)(de)(de)是(shi)佛(fo)經(jing)中(zhong)財童子歷經(jing)磨難參(can)拜(bai)五(wu)(wu)十三(san)(san)位《善知識》名師,終于得證(zheng)佛(fo)果 的(de)(de)(de)(de)故事。這座內(nei)(nei)容豐富形象生動(dong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)壁塑(su)(su)的(de)(de)(de)(de)主像(xiang)(xiang)是(shi)足踏鰲背(bei),手執凈瓶的(de)(de)(de)(de)觀世(shi)音菩(pu)薩,她意態瀟灑,祥和(he)地接(jie)受著(zhu)善財童子的(de)(de)(de)(de)參(can)拜(bai)。釋(shi)迦(jia)牟(mou)尼(ni)造(zao)像(xiang)(xiang)靈隱寺的(de)(de)(de)(de)原釋(shi)迦(jia)牟(mou)尼(ni)佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang),這座佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)是(shi)在重(zhong)修寺宇時(shi),由浙(zhe)江(jiang)美術學院(yuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)雕(diao)塑(su)(su)家(jia)和(he)民(min)間藝人(ren)(ren)(ren)們采用(yong)唐代禪宗佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)為(wei)藍本共同(tong)精心設計(ji)的(de)(de)(de)(de)。佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)高(gao)十九點六米,比(bi)原先的(de)(de)(de)(de)釋(shi)迦(jia)造(zao)像(xiang)(xiang)高(gao)一倍(bei)多,用(yong)近百塊香(xiang)樟木(mu)雕(diao)成。佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)造(zao)型端(duan)莊(zhuang)凝重(zhong),低眉(mei)細目,氣(qi)韶(shao)生動(dong),極度具風采。藥(yao)師殿為(wei)重(zhong)建,殿中(zhong)供奉藥(yao)師佛(fo)像(xiang)(xiang)及(ji)日天(tian)、月天(tian)。殿左,有(you)重(zhong)建的(de)(de)(de)(de)羅漢堂,陳列(lie)五(wu)(wu)百羅漢像(xiang)(xiang)線刻石(shi)。寺院(yuan)內(nei)(nei)還有(you)配殿四(si)座立于院(yuan)落兩(liang)側,布局嚴(yan)謹(jin),排列(lie)有(you)序,形成一組完整的(de)(de)(de)(de)寺院(yuan)建筑群(qun)。第三(san)(san)進院(yuan)為(wei)藏經(jing)樓,該(gai)樓當(dang)時(shi)收藏明(ming)、清版本經(jing)卷720余部,以及(ji)大量珍貴文物。竹(zhu)溪寺自建成、開光以來,寺內(nei)(nei)香(xiang)火不(bu)斷,每(mei)逢(feng)農(nong)歷四(si)月初八廟會之(zhi)日,寺內(nei)(nei)大開道(dao)場,寺外搭(da)臺(tai)唱戲,焚香(xiang)進供者(zhe)絡繹(yi)不(bu)絕,前(qian)(qian)來逛廟者(zhe)人(ren)(ren)(ren)山人(ren)(ren)(ren)海,三(san)(san)天(tian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)廟會,熱鬧非常(chang)。每(mei)逢(feng)農(nong)歷,還舉(ju)行盂蘭盆會儀式,備百味飲食(shi),供養(yang)十方僧眾,放(fang)焰(yan)口(kou),廟里廟外,非常(chang)隆重(zhong)。
寺(si)(si)內歷史永歷五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1651沈(shen)光文(wen)遇(yu)颶風(feng)漂流至臺(tai)灣(wan),初播中國(guo)文(wen)化。十(shi)五年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)延(yan)王鄭成(cheng)功率軍渡臺(tai)驅逐紅毛為(wei)復明(ming)基地(di),經置東(dong)都,設承(cheng)天府并天興、萬(wan)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)兩縣(xian)(xian)治(zhi)理。十(shi)八年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)嗣王鄭經 放棄金、廈回臺(tai),改(gai)東(dong)都為(wei)東(dong)寧,升天興、萬(wan)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)二(er)縣(xian)(xian)為(wei)二(er)州(zhou)(zhou),裁承(cheng)天府。是時經州(zhou)(zhou)守倡(chang)建梵(fan)宮(gong)于(yu)(yu)(yu)南(nan)郊南(nan)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)之旁,顏曰小西天。此時有(you)沈(shen)光文(wen)所詠詩(shi)題︰州(zhou)(zhou)守新構(gou)僧舍于(yu)(yu)(yu)南(nan)溪(xi)(xi)(xi),人(ren)(ren)多往游,余未及也。可以證明(ming)。沈(shen)氏窗蝴詩(shi)不久(jiu)因寓諷(feng)鄭經之賦被才,幾罹不測,經變(bian)服入山為(wei)僧,故小西天寺(si)(si)系在二(er)縣(xian)(xian)升州(zhou)(zhou)之后,沈(shen)氏逃禪之前(qian),亦即(ji)在十(shi)八年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)末,或十(shi)九年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)初所建,乃(nai)臺(tai)島較早興建之寺(si)(si)院。嗣因南(nan)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)沿(yan)畔綠竹(zhu)成(cheng)蔭,風(feng)景(jing)宜人(ren)(ren),另(ling)名(ming)(ming)竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi),因是寺(si)(si)名(ming)(ming)亦隨(sui)之稱為(wei)竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)。臺(tai)灣(wan)史學家盧(lu)嘉興考(kao)證,竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)為(wei)臺(tai)灣(wan)第一座寺(si)(si)院。據(ju)(ju)其考(kao)正(zheng)結果,臺(tai)灣(wan)建于(yu)(yu)(yu)明(ming)朝時期的(de)三座佛寺(si)(si)中,較早的(de)為(wei)竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si),次(ci)為(wei)彌陀寺(si)(si),再(zai)次(ci)為(wei)龍湖巖(yan)。竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)因年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)代久(jiu)遠(yuan),于(yu)(yu)(yu)乾隆(long)五十(shi)四年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1789經里人(ren)(ren)蔡和生(sheng)倡(chang)修,嘉慶元(yuan)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1796黃鐘岳等(deng)再(zai)募捐重(zhong)修,嘉慶二(er)十(shi)三年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)董事劉延(yan)貴復修,光緒(xu)十(shi)二(er)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1886候通判鮑復康再(zai)重(zhong)修一次(ci)。日(ri)(ri)據(ju)(ju)時代上(shang)官玄、林(lin)神(shen)等(deng)人(ren)(ren)見(jian)寺(si)(si)宇破損,殿閣(ge)荒無,決心(xin)聘(pin)一住(zhu)持整頓(dun)。日(ri)(ri)據(ju)(ju)時代上(shang)官玄、林(lin)神(shen)等(deng)人(ren)(ren)見(jian)寺(si)(si)宇破損,殿閣(ge)荒蕪(wu),決心(xin)聘(pin)一住(zhu)持整頓(dun)。竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)民間相(xiang)傳,人(ren)(ren)死后魂魄要先(xian)到寺(si)(si)廟(miao)(miao)報到,接受初審,根(gen)據(ju)(ju)其生(sheng)前(qian)善惡(e)功過,決定上(shang)天堂或下地(di)獄,因此對寺(si)(si)廟(miao)(miao)里的(de)祖師(shi)爺(ye)甚為(wei)敬畏(wei);由于(yu)(yu)(yu)祖師(shi)爺(ye)對于(yu)(yu)(yu)轄區(qu)百姓行(xing)(xing)止瞭若指掌,遇(yu)有(you)親人(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)蹤不明(ming),每每到此求簽問卜(bu)。每年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)農歷3月(yue)3日(ri)(ri)祖師(shi)爺(ye)誕(dan)辰,祖師(shi)爺(ye)按例于(yu)(yu)(yu)誕(dan)辰前(qian)夜行(xing)(xing)轄境,探訪民情。竹(zhu)溪(xi)(xi)(xi)寺(si)(si)廟(miao)(miao)成(cheng)為(wei)每年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)度熱鬧的(de)就(jiu)是廟(miao)(miao)會(hui)。
每當(dang)到(dao)(dao)(dao)了竹(zhu)溪寺(si)院(yuan),感受到(dao)(dao)(dao)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)份超塵的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)清凈(jing)與安(an)(an)祥,生起了一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)份莊嚴與寧(ning)靜的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)心(xin),令(ling)人(ren)(ren)(ren)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)而(er)(er)(er)然(ran)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)想(xiang)進(jin)入(ru)大(da)殿,禮(li)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)三(san)(san)(san)拜(bai),表(biao)達(da)對諸佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)菩薩的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)禮(li)敬(jing)、感恩(en)(en)(en),而(er)(er)(er)從柔軟、徐緩而(er)(er)(er)安(an)(an)詳的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)彎腰(yao)禮(li)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)動(dong)作里,感受到(dao)(dao)(dao)禮(li)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)者的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)安(an)(an)定與謙卑。不(bu)(bu)解佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)教(jiao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren),認(ren)為(wei)(wei)(wei)拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)就是(shi)迷信、崇(chong)拜(bai)偶(ou)像(xiang)。事實(shi)上,佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)教(jiao)是(shi)透過拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)動(dong)作,禮(li)敬(jing)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)菩薩,表(biao)達(da)對佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)、法(fa)、僧(seng)三(san)(san)(san)寶的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)尊敬(jing)與感恩(en)(en)(en);同時(shi),拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)也可同時(shi)懺(chan)悔自(zi)(zi)己所(suo)造的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)惡業。所(suo)以(yi),拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)是(shi)每一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)位佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)教(jiao)徒首先要(yao)學(xue)習(xi)(xi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)宗教(jiao)儀式(shi)。拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)動(dong)作,是(shi)心(xin)誠意(yi)(yi)敬(jing)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)將(jiang)雙手(shou)合掌(zhang),低頭(tou)彎腰(yao),五體(ti)投地(di)(di)(di)-兩(liang)肘兩(liang)膝以(yi)及額頭(tou)著(zhu)地(di)(di)(di),完成頭(tou)面接(jie)觸佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)足(zu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)較高敬(jing)禮(li),故又稱為(wei)(wei)(wei)頂禮(li)。彎腰(yao)低頭(tou)表(biao)示謙虛,承(cheng)認(ren)自(zi)(zi)己的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)福德(de)智慧不(bu)(bu)足(zu),而(er)(er)(er)當(dang)五體(ti)投地(di)(di)(di),接(jie)觸到(dao)(dao)(dao)大(da)地(di)(di)(di)時(shi),則(ze)令(ling)人(ren)(ren)(ren)感動(dong)于(yu)大(da)地(di)(di)(di)孕育眾(zhong)(zhong)生,負(fu)載眾(zhong)(zhong)生,涵容一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)切的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)精神,所(suo)以(yi),能(neng)(neng)懷著(zhu)感恩(en)(en)(en)心(xin),以(yi)飲水思源的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)心(xin),感謝大(da)地(di)(di)(di),感謝一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)切眾(zhong)(zhong)生。而(er)(er)(er)從拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)動(dong)作,讓人(ren)(ren)(ren)連想(xiang)到(dao)(dao)(dao),當(dang)人(ren)(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)內心(xin)充滿(man)了禮(li)敬(jing)、感恩(en)(en)(en)與懺(chan)悔時(shi),也有如稻穗一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),因成熟而(er)(er)(er)下垂(chui);而(er)(er)(er)拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)意(yi)(yi)義,也就是(shi)如此(ci)了。信佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)越(yue)來(lai)越(yue)多,每年春(chun)節(jie)及農歷初一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)、十(shi)五等(deng)日期,廣大(da)民眾(zhong)(zhong)有到(dao)(dao)(dao)竹(zhu)溪燒香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)禮(li)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)、祈(qi)(qi)福求安(an)(an)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)習(xi)(xi)慣(guan)。旅游(you)途中參觀名寺(si)大(da)剎,燒香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)也是(shi)很正常的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),但是(shi),很多人(ren)(ren)(ren)并不(bu)(bu)知道(dao)(dao)如何燒香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)拜(bai)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),為(wei)(wei)(wei)使十(shi)方善信種植福田、廣獲法(fa)益、正善正行,以(yi)滿(man)所(suo)愿,以(yi)祈(qi)(qi)共沾(zhan)法(fa)益。寺(si)廟建筑都有許多道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men),從哪(na)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men)進(jin)入(ru)都有講(jiang)究的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)。據說只有開了光(guang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)寺(si)廟才有資(zi)格修十(shi)三(san)(san)(san)道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men)。正中間的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)三(san)(san)(san)道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men),才是(shi)供(gong)人(ren)(ren)(ren)出(chu)入(ru)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)。普通(tong)游(you)客,進(jin)門(men)(men)只能(neng)(neng)走右(you)(you)(you)邊的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)那道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men),中間那道(dao)(dao)門(men)(men)叫(jiao)空(kong)門(men)(men),只有出(chu)家人(ren)(ren)(ren)才可以(yi)出(chu)入(ru)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)。進(jin)門(men)(men)時(shi),男客先邁(mai)左腳(jiao),女客先邁(mai)右(you)(you)(you)腳(jiao),而(er)(er)(er)且這步子,需邁(mai)得越(yue)大(da)越(yue)好(hao)。同時(shi)進(jin)廟內殿宇時(shi)應遵循左門(men)(men)進(jin)右(you)(you)(you)門(men)(men)出(chu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)原則(ze)。注(zhu)意(yi)(yi):一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)定不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)踩(cai)踏(ta)在門(men)(men)檻(據說門(men)(men)檻代表(biao)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)祖的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)肩膀,當(dang)然(ran)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)踩(cai)踏(ta))之上。而(er)(er)(er)登臨第1和(he)(he)第6個臺階的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)行禮(li)意(yi)(yi)味著(zhu)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)心(xin)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)意(yi)(yi)和(he)(he)六(liu)(liu)六(liu)(liu)大(da)順(shun)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)含義。禮(li)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)前,先要(yao)凈(jing)(洗(xi))手(shou)。香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)叫(jiao)買(mai)而(er)(er)(er)應該叫(jiao)請。普通(tong)人(ren)(ren)(ren)敬(jing)香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)要(yao)用(yong)(yong)左手(shou)持(據說右(you)(you)(you)手(shou)不(bu)(bu)凈(jing),普通(tong)人(ren)(ren)(ren)殺生大(da)多用(yong)(yong)右(you)(you)(you)手(shou),三(san)(san)(san)炷為(wei)(wei)(wei)自(zi)(zi)己祈(qi)(qi)福,六(liu)(liu)炷為(wei)(wei)(wei)兩(liang)輩人(ren)(ren)(ren)祈(qi)(qi)福,九(jiu)炷為(wei)(wei)(wei)三(san)(san)(san)代人(ren)(ren)(ren)祈(qi)(qi)福。而(er)(er)(er)十(shi)三(san)(san)(san)是(shi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)個極致,十(shi)三(san)(san)(san)炷香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)就是(shi)功(gong)德(de)圓(yuan)滿(man)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)。先燒香(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)再(zai)叩頭(tou)。
