《左(zuo)傳·昭公四(si)年》記載,魯昭公四(si)年(前538年)六月,楚(chu)(chu)靈王在(zai)(zai)申舉(ju)行(xing)諸(zhu)侯(hou)大會(hui)(hui),會(hui)(hui)前,楚(chu)(chu)國大臣椒舉(ju)聽(ting)說(shuo)會(hui)(hui)盟(meng)(meng)的禮制不(bu)全,就(jiu)向楚(chu)(chu)靈王進言說(shuo):“現在(zai)(zai)君王剛剛獲得諸(zhu)侯(hou)的信服,在(zai)(zai)禮法(fa)上一定(ding)要謹慎行(xing)事。楚(chu)(chu)國霸業能否成(cheng)功(gong),都在(zai)(zai)這次會(hui)(hui)盟(meng)(meng)上了(le)。”然后,椒舉(ju)列(lie)舉(ju)了(le)歷史上的幾次著名的諸(zhu)侯(hou)大會(hui)(hui):“夏啟(qi)有鈞(jun)臺(tai)之(zhi)(zhi)享,商湯有景(jing)亳(bo)之(zhi)(zhi)命,周武有孟津之(zhi)(zhi)誓,成(cheng)有岐陽之(zhi)(zhi)蒐,康有酆(feng)宮之(zhi)(zhi)朝,穆(mu)有涂山之(zhi)(zhi)會(hui)(hui),齊桓有召(zhao)陵(ling)之(zhi)(zhi)師,晉文有踐土之(zhi)(zhi)盟(meng)(meng)。”然后問楚(chu)(chu)靈王:“你準備模仿哪一次會(hui)(hui)盟(meng)(meng)的禮制?”楚(chu)(chu)靈王說(shuo):“我用齊桓公召(zhao)陵(ling)會(hui)(hui)盟(meng)(meng)的禮制。”
關(guan)于(yu)(yu)景亳(bo)(bo)(bo),歷史上說法不(bu)一,杜預《左(zuo)傳注》認為(wei)(wei):“河南(nan)鞏(gong)縣西(xi)南(nan)有(you)湯(tang)(tang)亭(ting),或言亳(bo)(bo)(bo)即偃(yan)師(shi)”,晉代的皇甫(fu)謐(mi)不(bu)同意此(ci)說,在(zai)(zai)《帝王世(shi)紀(ji)》里辨析(xi)說:“湯(tang)(tang)始居(ju)亳(bo)(bo)(bo),學者咸以亳(bo)(bo)(bo)本帝嚳之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)墟,在(zai)(zai)《禹貢》豫州洛河之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間,今河南(nan)偃(yan)師(shi)西(xi)二(er)十里尸(shi)鄉(xiang)(xiang)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)陽亭(ting)是(shi)也(ye)。以經(jing)考之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)事(shi)實,甚失(shi)其(qi)正(zheng)。《孟(meng)子》稱(cheng)(cheng)‘湯(tang)(tang)居(ju)亳(bo)(bo)(bo),與葛(ge)(ge)為(wei)(wei)鄰(lin)。’案《地理(li)志(zhi)》:‘葛(ge)(ge),今梁(liang)國寧陵之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)葛(ge)(ge)鄉(xiang)(xiang)’是(shi)也(ye)。湯(tang)(tang)地七十里,葛(ge)(ge)又伯耳,封域有(you)制;葛(ge)(ge)伯不(bu)祀,湯(tang)(tang)使亳(bo)(bo)(bo)眾(zhong)為(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)耕,有(you)童子餉(xiang)食,葛(ge)(ge)伯奪而殺之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。計寧陵至偃(yan)師(shi)八百里,而使亳(bo)(bo)(bo)眾(zhong)為(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)耕,有(you)童子餉(xiang)食,非其(qi)理(li)也(ye)。今梁(liang)自有(you)二(er)亳(bo)(bo)(bo),南(nan)亳(bo)(bo)(bo)在(zai)(zai)谷熟(shu)(shu),北亳(bo)(bo)(bo)在(zai)(zai)蒙(meng),非偃(yan)師(shi)也(ye)。故古文《仲虺之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)誥(gao)》曰:‘乃葛(ge)(ge)伯仇餉(xiang),初征自葛(ge)(ge)。’即《孟(meng)子》之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)言是(shi)也(ye)。湯(tang)(tang)又盟諸(zhu)侯于(yu)(yu)景亳(bo)(bo)(bo),然則二(er)亳(bo)(bo)(bo)皆在(zai)(zai)梁(liang)矣,《春秋》‘會于(yu)(yu)亳(bo)(bo)(bo)’是(shi)也(ye)。”皇甫(fu)謐(mi)認為(wei)(wei)“谷熟(shu)(shu)為(wei)(wei)南(nan)亳(bo)(bo)(bo),即湯(tang)(tang)都也(ye)”。后來王國維在(zai)(zai)《說亳(bo)(bo)(bo)》一文中經(jing)過詳細(xi)考證,認為(wei)(wei)景亳(bo)(bo)(bo)就是(shi)北亳(bo)(bo)(bo),因為(wei)(wei)此(ci)地有(you)景山,故稱(cheng)(cheng)“景亳(bo)(bo)(bo)”;又因為(wei)(wei)此(ci)地古稱(cheng)(cheng)“蒙(meng)”,故又稱(cheng)(cheng)“蒙(meng)亳(bo)(bo)(bo)”。
