郁孤臺下清江水,中間多少行人淚。西北(bei)望長(chang)安,可憐無數山。
青山(shan)遮不住,畢竟東(dong)流去。江晚正愁余(yu),山(shan)深(shen)聞鷓鴣。
菩薩蠻(man):本唐教坊曲(qu)(qu)(qu),后用(yong)為(wei)詞牌,也(ye)用(yong)作(zuo)曲(qu)(qu)(qu)牌。亦作(zuo)《菩薩鬘》,又(you)名(ming)《子夜歌》、《重疊金》、《花(hua)溪碧》、《晚(wan)云烘日》等(deng)。另有《菩薩蠻(man)引》、《菩薩蠻(man)慢》。《菩薩蠻(man)》也(ye)是曲(qu)(qu)(qu)牌名(ming),屬北曲(qu)(qu)(qu)正宮,字(zi)句格(ge)律與詞牌前半闋同,用(yong)在套曲(qu)(qu)(qu)中。
造口(kou):一(yi)名皂口(kou),在江(jiang)西(xi)萬安(an)縣南六十里。
郁(yu)孤臺(tai):今江西(xi)省(sheng)贛州(zhou)市城(cheng)區西(xi)北部(bu)賀蘭(lan)山頂,又稱望闕臺(tai),因“隆(long)阜郁(yu)然,孤起(qi)平地數(shu)丈”得(de)名。清(qing)江:贛江與袁江合流(liu)處舊(jiu)稱清(qing)江。
長(chang)安:今陜西(xi)省西(xi)安市,為漢(han)唐(tang)故都(dou)。此處代指宋(song)(song)都(dou)汴京。宋(song)(song)劉攽《九(jiu)日(ri)》:“可(ke)憐西(xi)北望,白日(ri)遠長(chang)安。”
愁余:使(shi)我發(fa)愁。《楚辭·九(jiu)歌(ge)·湘夫(fu)人(ren)》:“帝子降兮北渚,目眇眇兮愁予。”
無數山:很多座山。
鷓(zhe)鴣:鳥名。傳說其叫(jiao)聲如云(yun)“行(xing)不得(de)也哥(ge)(ge)哥(ge)(ge)”,啼聲凄苦。
郁孤臺(tai)下這贛(gan)江的水(shui),水(shui)中有(you)多少行(xing)人的眼淚(lei)。我(wo)舉頭(tou)眺(tiao)望西北(bei)的長安,可惜只看到(dao)無數青山。
但青山(shan)怎能把江水擋住(zhu)?江水畢竟還會向東(dong)流(liu)去。夕(xi)陽西下我(wo)正滿懷愁緒,聽(ting)到深山(shan)里傳來鷓(zhe)鴣的鳴叫聲。
這(zhe)首詞(ci)為公(gong)元1176年(nian)(nian)(宋孝宗淳熙三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian))作(zuo)(zuo)者任江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)(xi)(xi)提(ti)點刑獄,駐節(jie)贛州、途經造(zao)(zao)口(kou)時(shi)(shi)(shi)所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)(zuo)。關于(yu)(yu)此(ci)詞(ci)之(zhi)發端,羅大(da)經在《鶴(he)林(lin)(lin)玉露》中(zhong)有幾句話非(fei)常(chang)重要(yao)。《鶴(he)林(lin)(lin)玉露·辛幼安(an)(an)(an)詞(ci)》條(tiao)云(yun):“蓋(gai)南(nan)渡(du)之(zhi)初,虜人(ren)(ren)追(zhui)(zhui)隆祐(you)太(tai)(tai)后(hou)御(yu)舟至(zhi)(zhi)造(zao)(zao)口(kou),不(bu)及而(er)還。幼安(an)(an)(an)自(zi)(zi)此(ci)起興。”《宋史》高宗紀及后(hou)妃(fei)傳(chuan)載:1129年(nian)(nian)(建(jian)炎(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian))八(ba)月(yue),“會防秋迫,命劉寧(ning)止(zhi)制(zhi)置(zhi)江(jiang)(jiang)浙,衛(wei)太(tai)(tai)后(hou)往洪州,騰康(kang)(kang)(kang)、劉玨(jue)權(quan)知(zhi)三(san)(san)省樞密院事(shi)從(cong)行(xing)(xing)。閏(run)八(ba)月(yue),高宗亦(yi)離建(jian)康(kang)(kang)(kang)(今(jin)南(nan)京市)赴浙西(xi)(xi)(xi)。時(shi)(shi)(shi)金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)分兩(liang)路大(da)舉(ju)南(nan)侵,十(shi)月(yue),西(xi)(xi)(xi)路金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)自(zi)(zi)黃州(今(jin)湖北(bei)黃岡)渡(du)江(jiang)(jiang),直奔洪州追(zhui)(zhui)隆祐(you)太(tai)(tai)后(hou)。“康(kang)(kang)(kang)、玨(jue)奉太(tai)(tai)后(hou)行(xing)(xing)次吉州,金(jin)(jin)人(ren)(ren)追(zhui)(zhui)急(ji)(ji),太(tai)(tai)后(hou)乘舟夜行(xing)(xing)。”《三(san)(san)朝北(bei)盟會編》(建(jian)炎(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian)十(shi)一(yi)月(yue)二十(shi)三(san)(san)日(ri))載:“質明,至(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)(tai)和(he)縣(xian)(xian)(去(qu)吉州八(ba)十(shi)里(li)。《太(tai)(tai)和(he)縣(xian)(xian)志(zhi)》),又(you)進(jin)至(zhi)(zhi)萬(wan)安(an)(an)(an)縣(xian)(xian)(去(qu)太(tai)(tai)和(he)一(yi)百里(li)。《萬(wan)安(an)(an)(an)縣(xian)(xian)志(zhi)》),兵(bing)衛(wei)不(bu)滿百人(ren)(ren),滕康(kang)(kang)(kang)、劉玨(jue)皆竄山(shan)谷(gu)中(zhong)。金(jin)(jin)人(ren)(ren)追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)(tai)和(he)縣(xian)(xian),太(tai)(tai)后(hou)乃自(zi)(zi)萬(wan)安(an)(an)(an)縣(xian)(xian)至(zhi)(zhi)皂口(kou),舍舟而(er)陸,遂幸(xing)(xing)虔州(去(qu)萬(wan)安(an)(an)(an)凡(fan)二百四十(shi)里(li)。《贛州府志(zhi)》)。”《宋史·后(hou)妃(fei)傳(chuan)》:“太(tai)(tai)后(hou)及潘妃(fei)以(yi)(yi)農(nong)夫肩(jian)輿而(er)行(xing)(xing)。”《宋史·胡銓(quan)傳(chuan)》:“銓(quan)募(mu)鄉兵(bing)助(zhu)官軍捍御(yu)金(jin)(jin)兵(bing),太(tai)(tai)后(hou)得脫幸(xing)(xing)虔。”史書所(suo)(suo)記(ji)(ji)(ji)金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)(tai)和(he),與羅氏(shi)所(suo)(suo)記(ji)(ji)(ji)追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)造(zao)(zao)口(kou)稍(shao)有不(bu)合。但羅氏(shi)為南(nan)宋廬陵人(ren)(ren),又(you)曾(ceng)任江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)(xi)(xi)撫州軍事(shi)推官,其(qi)所(suo)(suo)記(ji)(ji)(ji)信(xin)實與否,尚(shang)不(bu)妨(fang)存(cun)疑。況且金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)既至(zhi)(zhi)太(tai)(tai)和(he),其(qi)前(qian)鋒追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)南(nan)一(yi)百六十(shi)里(li)之(zhi)造(zao)(zao)口(kou),也未始無(wu)此(ci)可(ke)能。無(wu)論金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)是(shi)否追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)造(zao)(zao)口(kou),隆祐(you)太(tai)(tai)后(hou)被(bei)追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)造(zao)(zao)口(kou)時(shi)(shi)(shi)情勢危急(ji)(ji),以(yi)(yi)致舍舟以(yi)(yi)農(nong)夫肩(jian)輿而(er)行(xing)(xing),此(ci)是(shi)鐵案(an),史無(wu)異辭。尤要(yao)者,應知(zhi)隆祐(you)其(qi)人(ren)(ren)并建(jian)炎(yan)(yan)年(nian)(nian)間形勢。當公(gong)元1127年(nian)(nian)(北(bei)宋靖康(kang)(kang)(kang)二年(nian)(nian))金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)入汴擄徽(hui)欽(qin)二宗北(bei)去(qu),北(bei)宋滅亡之(zhi)際,隆祐(you)以(yi)(yi)廢后(hou)幸(xing)(xing)免,垂簾聽(ting)(ting)政,迎立康(kang)(kang)(kang)王,是(shi)為高宗。有人(ren)(ren)請立皇太(tai)(tai)子(zi),隆祐(you)拒之(zhi)。《宋史·后(hou)妃(fei)傳(chuan)》記(ji)(ji)(ji)其(qi)言(yan)曰(yue):“今(jin)強敵在外,我以(yi)(yi)婦人(ren)(ren)抱三(san)(san)歲小兒(er)聽(ting)(ting)政,將(jiang)何以(yi)(yi)令天(tian)下?”其(qi)告天(tian)下手詔曰(yue):“雖(sui)舉(ju)族有北(bei)轅之(zhi)恤,而(er)敷天(tian)同左袒之(zhi)心。”又(you)曰(yue):“漢家之(zhi)厄(e)十(shi)世(shi),宜光武之(zhi)中(zhong)興;獻(xian)公(gong)之(zhi)子(zi)九人(ren)(ren),唯(wei)重耳之(zhi)獨(du)在。”《鶴(he)林(lin)(lin)玉露·建(jian)炎(yan)(yan)登極》條(tiao)云(yun):“事(shi)詞(ci)的切(qie),讀(du)之(zhi)感(gan)(gan)動,蓋(gai)中(zhong)興之(zhi)一(yi)助(zhu)也。”陳寅(yin)恪(ke)《論再(zai)生緣》亦(yi)謂:“維系人(ren)(ren)心,抵御(yu)外侮”,“所(suo)(suo)以(yi)(yi)為當時(shi)(shi)(shi)及后(hou)世(shi)所(suo)(suo)傳(chuan)誦(song)。”故史稱隆祐(you):“國(guo)有事(shi)變,必此(ci)人(ren)(ren)當之(zhi)。”建(jian)炎(yan)(yan)三(san)(san)年(nian)(nian),西(xi)(xi)(xi)路金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)窮追(zhui)(zhui)隆祐(you),東(dong)路金(jin)(jin)兵(bing)則渡(du)江(jiang)(jiang)陷建(jian)康(kang)(kang)(kang)、臨(lin)安(an)(an)(an),高宗被(bei)迫浮(fu)舟海上(shang)。此(ci)誠(cheng)南(nan)宋政權(quan)出存(cun)亡危急(ji)(ji)之(zhi)秋。故當作(zuo)(zuo)者身臨(lin)造(zao)(zao)口(kou),懷想隆祐(you)被(bei)追(zhui)(zhui)至(zhi)(zhi)此(ci),“因此(ci)感(gan)(gan)興 ”,題詞(ci)于(yu)(yu)壁,實情理之(zhi)所(suo)(suo)必然。羅氏(shi)所(suo)(suo)記(ji)(ji)(ji)大(da)體可(ke)信(xin),詞(ci)題六字即為本證。
公元1175至1176年(nian)(淳(chun)熙二、三(san)年(nian))間,辛棄疾(ji)任江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)提點刑獄,經常巡回往(wang)復于湖南、江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)等(deng)地(di)。來到造口(kou),俯瞰(kan)不(bu)舍晝(zhou)夜流逝而去(qu)的(de)江(jiang)(jiang)水,詞人(ren)的(de)思(si)緒也似這江(jiang)(jiang)水般波瀾起伏,綿延不(bu)絕,于是(shi)寫下(xia)了這首詞。
辛(xin)棄疾(1140-1207),南宋(song)詞(ci)人(ren)。字(zi)幼安(an),號(hao)稼軒(xuan),歷城(今山東濟南)人(ren)。二十(shi)一歲參加抗(kang)金(jin)義(yi)軍(jun),曾任(ren)耿京(jing)軍(jun)的掌書記,不久(jiu)投歸南宋(song)。歷任(ren)江陰簽(qian)判,建(jian)康(kang)通判,江西提(ti)(ti)點刑獄,湖(hu)(hu)南、湖(hu)(hu)北轉運(yun)使(shi),湖(hu)(hu)南、江西安(an)撫使(shi)等(deng)職。四十(shi)二歲遭(zao)讒落職,退居江西信州,長(chang)達二十(shi)年(nian)之久(jiu),其間一度起為(wei)福建(jian)提(ti)(ti)點刑獄、福建(jian)安(an)撫使(shi)。六十(shi)四歲再起為(wei)浙東安(an)撫使(shi)、鎮江知府,不久(jiu)罷歸。一生力主(zhu)抗(kang)金(jin)北伐,并提(ti)(ti)出有關方略(lve),均未被(bei)采納。其詞(ci)熱(re)情(qing)洋溢、慷慨激昂,富有愛國感情(qing)。有《稼軒(xuan)長(chang)短句(ju)》以(yi)及今人(ren)輯本《辛(xin)稼軒(xuan)詩文鈔存》。
辛棄疾此首(shou)《菩薩蠻》,用極(ji)高明之比興藝術,寫(xie)極(ji)深沉之愛國情思,無愧為詞(ci)中瑰寶。
詞題(ti)“書江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)造口壁”,起(qi)寫郁孤(gu)臺與清江(jiang)(jiang)。造口一名皂口,在(zai)江(jiang)(jiang)西(xi)萬安縣(xian)西(xi)南六十里(《萬安縣(xian)志》)。詞中(zhong)的(de)郁孤(gu)臺在(zai)贛(gan)(gan)州(zhou)(zhou)城西(xi)北角(《嘉靖(jing)贛(gan)(gan)州(zhou)(zhou)府志圖》),因“隆(long)阜郁然,孤(gu)起(qi)平地數丈(zhang)”得名。“唐李勉為(wei)虔州(zhou)(zhou)(即(ji)贛(gan)(gan)州(zhou)(zhou))剌史時,登臨北望,慨然曰:‘余雖不(bu)及子牟,而心在(zai)魏闕一也。’改(gai)郁孤(gu)為(wei)望闕。”(《方輿勝覽》)清江(jiang)(jiang)即(ji)贛(gan)(gan)江(jiang)(jiang)。章、貢二(er)水(shui)抱贛(gan)(gan)州(zhou)(zhou)城而流(liu),至郁孤(gu)臺下匯為(wei)贛(gan)(gan)江(jiang)(jiang)北流(liu),經造口、萬安、太和(he)、吉州(zhou)(zhou)(治(zhi)廬陵,今(jin)吉安)、隆(long)興府(即(ji)洪州(zhou)(zhou),今(jin)南昌市),入鄱陽湖注入長(chang)江(jiang)(jiang)。
“郁(yu)(yu)孤(gu)臺下(xia)(xia)清江(jiang)水(shui)(shui)。”起(qi)筆橫(heng)絕。由于漢字(zi)(zi)形、聲(sheng)、義具體(ti)可(ke)感之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)特質,尤其郁(yu)(yu)有郁(yu)(yu)勃、沉(chen)郁(yu)(yu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)意,孤(gu)有巍(wei)巍(wei)獨立(li)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)感,郁(yu)(yu)孤(gu)臺三字(zi)(zi)劈面便(bian)凸起(qi)一(yi)座郁(yu)(yu)然(ran)孤(gu)峙(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)高(gao)臺。詞(ci)(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)調動此(ci)(ci)三字(zi)(zi)打(da)頭陣(zhen),顯(xian)然(ran)有滿腔磅礴之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)激(ji)憤,勢(shi)不能不用(yong)此(ci)(ci)突(tu)兀之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)筆也。進(jin)而(er)寫出臺下(xia)(xia)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)清江(jiang)水(shui)(shui)。《萬安(an)縣志》云(yun):“贛水(shui)(shui)入萬安(an)境(jing),初落平廣,奔(ben)激(ji)響溜(liu)。”寫出此(ci)(ci)一(yi)江(jiang)激(ji)流(liu),詞(ci)(ci)(ci)境(jing)遂(sui)從百余里外之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)郁(yu)(yu)孤(gu)臺,順(shun)勢(shi)收至眼前之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)造口。造口,詞(ci)(ci)(ci)境(jing)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)核心(xin)也。故又縱筆寫出:“中間多(duo)少行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)淚(lei)。”行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)淚(lei)三字(zi)(zi),直(zhi)點造口當年(nian)事。詞(ci)(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)身臨隆祐太后被追(zhui)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)地,痛感建(jian)炎(yan)國脈如(ru)縷之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)危(wei),憤金兵之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)猖狂,羞國恥之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)未雪,乃將滿懷之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲(bei)憤,化為(wei)(wei)此(ci)(ci)悲(bei)涼之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)句。在詞(ci)(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)魂中,此(ci)(ci)一(yi)江(jiang)流(liu)水(shui)(shui),竟為(wei)(wei)行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)流(liu)不盡之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)傷心(xin)淚(lei)。行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)淚(lei)意蘊(yun)深廣,不必(bi)專言隆祐。在建(jian)炎(yan)年(nian)間四海南奔(ben)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)際(ji),自(zi)(zi)中原至江(jiang)淮而(er)江(jiang)南,不知有多(duo)少行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)流(liu)下(xia)(xia)無(wu)(wu)(wu)數傷心(xin)淚(lei)啊(a)。由此(ci)(ci)想來,便(bian)覺(jue)隆祐被追(zhui)至造口,又正是那一(yi)存(cun)亡危(wei)急之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)秋(qiu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)象征。無(wu)(wu)(wu)疑此(ci)(ci)一(yi)江(jiang)行(xing)(xing)人(ren)(ren)淚(lei)中,也有詞(ci)(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲(bei)淚(lei)啊(a)。“西(xi)北望(wang)長安(an),可(ke)憐無(wu)(wu)(wu)數山。”長安(an)指汴京(jing),西(xi)北望(wang)猶言直(zhi)北望(wang)。詞(ci)(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)因回想隆祐被追(zhui)而(er)念及神州陸沉(chen),獨立(li)造口仰望(wang)汴京(jing)亦猶杜老之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)獨立(li)夔州仰望(wang)長安(an)。抬(tai)望(wang)眼,遙望(wang)長安(an),境(jing)界(jie)(jie)頓(dun)時無(wu)(wu)(wu)限高(gao)遠。然(ran)而(er),可(ke)惜(xi)有無(wu)(wu)(wu)數青(qing)山重(zhong)重(zhong)遮(zhe)攔,望(wang)不見(jian)也,境(jing)界(jie)(jie)遂(sui)一(yi)變而(er)為(wei)(wei)具有封閉式(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)意味,頓(dun)挫極有力(li)。歇(xie)拍雖暗用(yong)李勉登郁(yu)(yu)孤(gu)臺望(wang)闕之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)故事,卻寫出自(zi)(zi)己之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)滿懷忠(zhong)憤。
“青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)遮(zhe)不(bu)(bu)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu),畢竟(jing)東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)去(qu)。”贛江北流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu),此(ci)言東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu),詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)寫胸懷(huai),正不(bu)(bu)必(bi)拘泥。無(wu)數青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)雖可(ke)(ke)遮(zhe)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)長(chang)安(an),但終究(jiu)遮(zhe)不(bu)(bu)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)一(yi)江之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)水向東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)。換(huan)頭是寫眼(yan)前(qian)景,若(ruo)言有寄托(tuo)(tuo),則(ze)(ze)似難以指實。若(ruo)言無(wu)寄托(tuo)(tuo),則(ze)(ze)遮(zhe)不(bu)(bu)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)與畢竟(jing)二(er)語,又明顯(xian)帶(dai)有感情色(se)彩。周(zhou)濟(ji)云(yun):“借水怨山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。”可(ke)(ke)謂具眼(yan)。此(ci)詞(ci)(ci)句句不(bu)(bu)離(li)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)水。試體味(wei)(wei)(wei)“遮(zhe)不(bu)(bu)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)”三字(zi),將青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)周(zhou)匝圍(wei)堵(du)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)感一(yi)筆推去(qu),“畢竟(jing)”二(er)字(zi)更(geng)見深(shen)沉有力。返觀上闋,清江水既(ji)為(wei)(wei)行人(ren)(ren)淚(lei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)象喻,則(ze)(ze)東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)去(qu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)江水如有所喻,當(dang)喻祖國(guo)一(yi)方。無(wu)數青山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)既(ji)嘆其遮(zhe)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)長(chang)安(an),更(geng)道出(chu)(chu)其遮(zhe)不(bu)(bu)住(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)(zhu)東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu),則(ze)(ze)其所喻當(dang)指敵(di)人(ren)(ren)。在詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)潛(qian)意識中(zhong)(zhong),當(dang)并指投(tou)降派。“東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)去(qu)”三字(zi)尤可(ke)(ke)體味(wei)(wei)(wei)。《尚書·禹貢》云(yun):“江漢(han)朝宗(zong)于海。”在中(zhong)(zhong)國(guo)文化(hua)傳統中(zhong)(zhong),江河行地與日(ri)月經(jing)天同(tong)為(wei)(wei)“天行健”之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)體現,故“君子(zi)以自強不(bu)(bu)息(xi)”(《息(xi)·系辭》)。杜甫《長(chang)江二(er)首》云(yun):“朝宗(zong)人(ren)(ren)共(gong)挹,盜賊爾(er)誰尊?”“浩浩終不(bu)(bu)息(xi),乃知東(dong)(dong)極臨(lin)。眾流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)歸海意,萬國(guo)奉君心(xin)。”故必(bi)言寄托(tuo)(tuo),則(ze)(ze)換(huan)頭托(tuo)(tuo)意,當(dang)以江水東(dong)(dong)流(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)(liu)喻正義所向也。然而時局并不(bu)(bu)樂觀,詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)心(xin)情并不(bu)(bu)輕松。“江晚(wan)正愁(chou)(chou)余,山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)深(shen)聞(wen)(wen)鷓(zhe)(zhe)鴣。”詞(ci)(ci)情詞(ci)(ci)境又作一(yi)大頓挫。江晚(wan)山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)深(shen),此(ci)一(yi)暮(mu)色(se)蒼茫又具封閉式意味(wei)(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)境界,無(wu)異為(wei)(wei)詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)沉郁苦(ku)悶之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)孤懷(huai)寫照(zhao),而暗應合(he)上闋開(kai)頭之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)郁孤臺意象。“正愁(chou)(chou)余”,語本《楚(chu)辭·九歌(ge)·湘夫人(ren)(ren)》:“目眇眇兮愁(chou)(chou)予。”楚(chu)騷哀(ai)怨要眇之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)色(se)調,愈添(tian)意境沉郁凄迷之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)氛(fen)圍(wei)。更(geng)哪堪聞(wen)(wen)亂山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)深(shen)處鷓(zhe)(zhe)鴣聲聲:“行不(bu)(bu)得也哥哥”。《禽經(jing)》張華注:“鷓(zhe)(zhe)鴣飛必(bi)南(nan)向,其志(zhi)懷(huai)南(nan),不(bu)(bu)徂北也。”白(bai)居(ju)易《山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)鷓(zhe)(zhe)鴣》:“啼到曉,唯(wei)能愁(chou)(chou)北人(ren)(ren),南(nan)人(ren)(ren)慣聞(wen)(wen)如不(bu)(bu)聞(wen)(wen)。”鷓(zhe)(zhe)鴣聲聲,是呼喚詞(ci)(ci)人(ren)(ren)莫忘南(nan)歸之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)懷(huai)抱,還是勾(gou)起其志(zhi)業未就之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)忠(zhong)憤,或如山(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)那畔中(zhong)(zhong)原(yuan)父老同(tong)胞之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)哀(ai)告,實難作一(yi)指實。但結筆寫出(chu)(chu)一(yi)懷(huai)愁(chou)(chou)苦(ku)則(ze)(ze)可(ke)(ke)斷言。而此(ci)一(yi)懷(huai)愁(chou)(chou)苦(ku),實朝廷一(yi)味(wei)(wei)(wei)妥(tuo)協,中(zhong)(zhong)原(yuan)久未光復(fu)有以致之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),亦(yi)可(ke)(ke)斷言。
此詞(ci)抒發對建炎(yan)年(nian)間國事艱危之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)沉(chen)痛追懷,對靖(jing)康以(yi)(yi)來失去國土(tu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)深(shen)情縈念(nian),故此一習用已久隱寫兒女柔(rou)情之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)小令,竟為(wei)(wei)南宋愛國精神深(shen)沉(chen)凝聚之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)絕(jue)唱。詞(ci)中運用比(bi)(bi)興手法,以(yi)(yi)眼前(qian)景(jing)道心(xin)上(shang)(shang)事,達(da)到(dao)比(bi)(bi)興傳統(tong)意內言外之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)極高境界。其(qi)眼前(qian)景(jing)不過是清江(jiang)水、無數山,心(xin)上(shang)(shang)事則(ze)包舉家國之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲今昔之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)感種(zhong)種(zhong)意念(nian),而(er)一并(bing)托諸眼前(qian)景(jing)寫出。顯有寄托,又難以(yi)(yi)一一指(zhi)實(shi)(shi)。但(dan)其(qi)主要寓托則(ze)可體(ti)認,其(qi)一懷襟抱(bao)亦可領會。此種(zhong)以(yi)(yi)全(quan)(quan)幅意境寓寫整(zheng)個(ge)襟抱(bao)、運用比(bi)(bi)興寄托又未(wei)必一一指(zhi)實(shi)(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)藝術造詣(yi),實(shi)(shi)為(wei)(wei)中國美學理(li)想之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)一體(ti)現(xian)。全(quan)(quan)詞(ci)一片神行又潛氣內轉,兼有神理(li)高絕(jue)與(yu)沉(chen)郁頓挫(cuo)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)美,在詞(ci)史上(shang)(shang)完全(quan)(quan)可與(yu)李(li)太(tai)白同調詞(ci)相媲(pi)美。
卓(zhuo)人月評此詞(ci)云:“忠憤之(zhi)氣,拂(fu)拂(fu)指端(duan)。”(《詞(ci)統》)
明(ming)沈際飛《草堂(tang)詩馀正集》:“無數(shu)山水,無數(shu)悲憤。伊文公云:若朝廷賞罰(fa)明(ming),此等人皆可(ke)用。”
清陳廷焯(zhuo)《云韶集》:“血淚(lei)淋漓(li),古今讓其(qi)獨步。結二語號呼(hu)痛(tong)哭,音節之悲,至今猶隱隱在(zai)耳(er)。”

唐(tang)圭璋《唐(tang)宋詞簡釋》:“此(ci)首《書江西造(zao)口壁(bi)》,不(bu)假雕(diao)繪(hui),自(zi)抒悲(bei)憤(fen)。小(xiao)詞而蒼莽悲(bei)壯如此(ci),誠不(bu)多見。蓋以真情郁勃(bo),而又有(you)氣魄足以暢發其情。起從近處寫水,次從遠處寫山(shan)。下片,將山(shan)水打(da)成一片,慨嘆不(bu)盡。末以愁聞鷓鴣作結,尤覺(jue)無(wu)限(xian)悲(bei)憤(fen)。”
