東營市利津縣第二中學始建于1952年10月,是黃河三角洲地區建校較早的中學之一,始名為山東省墾利中學(1951年陳(chen)家莊(zhuang)是中(zhong)(zhong)共墾(ken)(ken)利(li)縣(xian)(xian)委(wei)、縣(xian)(xian)政府駐(zhu)地)。1956年5月(yue)墾(ken)(ken)利(li)縣(xian)(xian)建制撤銷,原(yuan)轄區劃(hua)屬利(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)暫(zan)定(ding)名(ming)“陳(chen)莊(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1956年7月(yue)20日(ri),定(ding)名(ming)為“山東省(sheng)利(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1958年11月(yue)沾(化(hua))利(li)(津(jin))合并(bing)為沾化(hua)縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)遂更名(ming)為“沾化(hua)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)三中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1961年9月(yue),沾利(li)分(fen)縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)恢(hui)復“利(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)名(ming)。1969年4月(yue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)下(xia)放陳(chen)莊(zhuang)人(ren)民公社管理(li),校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)名(ming)改為“陳(chen)莊(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1969年12月(yue)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)復名(ming)“利(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”。1976年9月(yue),學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)校(xiao)(xiao)(xiao)再(zai)度下(xia)放到公社管理(li)。1978年8月(yue)再(zai)次復名(ming)“利(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)”并(bing)沿用至今(jin)。
學(xue)校現(xian)有58個(ge)高中(zhong)教(jiao)學(xue)班(ban),3200余名(ming)在(zai)校生。專(zhuan)任教(jiao)師256人(ren)(ren),研究生學(xue)歷12人(ren)(ren),本科244人(ren)(ren)。其中(zhong),特(te)級教(jiao)師1人(ren)(ren),高級教(jiao)師61人(ren)(ren),一(yi)級教(jiao)師84人(ren)(ren),二級教(jiao)師110人(ren)(ren)。

學(xue)校地處黃河勝利大橋北端的省(sheng)級中心(xin)鎮——陳(chen)(chen)莊鎮,坐落于陳(chen)(chen)莊鎮濱港路5號。學(xue)校分南北兩院,占地150畝,總(zong)建(jian)筑面積達7萬(wan)平(ping)方米。教室和功能室都配(pei)備了多媒體,實驗(yan)室均按國家標準設計(ji)配(pei)備,通(tong)用(yong)技術實驗(yan)室被教育(yu)部教學(xue)儀器研究(jiu)所授(shou)予“高中通(tong)用(yong)技術標準實驗(yan)室”,音(yin)樂(le)室、美術室、舞蹈(dao)室、歷史室、地理室、圖書館、閱覽室等(deng)全部高標準配(pei)備到位。
