東營市利津縣第二中學始建于1952年10月,是黃河三角洲地區建校較早的中學之一,始名為山東省墾利中學(1951年陳(chen)家莊(zhuang)(zhuang)是(shi)中(zhong)(zhong)共墾利(li)(li)縣(xian)(xian)委、縣(xian)(xian)政(zheng)府駐地)。1956年5月(yue)墾利(li)(li)縣(xian)(xian)建制撤銷,原(yuan)轄區劃屬利(li)(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)校暫(zan)定名(ming)“陳(chen)莊(zhuang)(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1956年7月(yue)20日,定名(ming)為(wei)“山東省(sheng)利(li)(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1958年11月(yue)沾(化(hua)(hua))利(li)(li)(津(jin))合并(bing)為(wei)沾化(hua)(hua)縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)校遂(sui)更名(ming)為(wei)“沾化(hua)(hua)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)(di)三中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1961年9月(yue),沾利(li)(li)分縣(xian)(xian),學(xue)校恢復“利(li)(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”校名(ming)。1969年4月(yue)學(xue)校下放陳(chen)莊(zhuang)(zhuang)人民公(gong)社(she)(she)管(guan)理,校名(ming)改(gai)為(wei)“陳(chen)莊(zhuang)(zhuang)中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1969年12月(yue)學(xue)校復名(ming)“利(li)(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”。1976年9月(yue),學(xue)校再度下放到公(gong)社(she)(she)管(guan)理。1978年8月(yue)再次復名(ming)“利(li)(li)津(jin)縣(xian)(xian)第(di)(di)(di)二中(zhong)(zhong)學(xue)”并(bing)沿用至今。
學校現有58個高中(zhong)教(jiao)學班,3200余名在校生。專任教(jiao)師256人(ren)(ren),研究(jiu)生學歷(li)12人(ren)(ren),本(ben)科244人(ren)(ren)。其中(zhong),特級(ji)教(jiao)師1人(ren)(ren),高級(ji)教(jiao)師61人(ren)(ren),一級(ji)教(jiao)師84人(ren)(ren),二級(ji)教(jiao)師110人(ren)(ren)。

學校(xiao)地處黃河勝利大橋北端(duan)的省級中(zhong)心鎮(zhen)——陳莊鎮(zhen),坐落于陳莊鎮(zhen)濱(bin)港路5號。學校(xiao)分南北兩院,占地150畝,總建(jian)筑面(mian)積達7萬平方米。教室和功(gong)能(neng)室都配(pei)(pei)備了多媒體,實驗室均按國(guo)家標(biao)(biao)準設計配(pei)(pei)備,通(tong)用技(ji)術(shu)(shu)實驗室被教育(yu)部(bu)(bu)教學儀器研究所授予“高(gao)中(zhong)通(tong)用技(ji)術(shu)(shu)標(biao)(biao)準實驗室”,音樂室、美術(shu)(shu)室、舞蹈室、歷史室、地理(li)室、圖(tu)書館、閱覽(lan)室等全部(bu)(bu)高(gao)標(biao)(biao)準配(pei)(pei)備到位。
