據官網2018年12月(yue)24日(ri)信息(xi),該校有教職(zhi)工為125人(ren),專任教師87人(ren)。后(hou)勤職(zhi)工40人(ren)(其(qi)中在編(bian)職(zhi)工5人(ren),公益(yi)性(xing)崗位32人(ren),社會(hui)公共(gong)購買(mai)服務保安、校醫3人(ren)),共(gong)有三個(ge)年級20個(ge)教學班,學生900余名。

海北州第三高級中學坐落于祁連縣城,是在原祁連縣中學基礎上整建的。祁連縣中學創建于1958年8月,1988年因新建祁連縣第二中學而更名為祁連縣第一中學。2003年,為優化教育資源,整合教學配置,祁連縣第一中學和第二中學合并稱為祁連縣中學,學校地處八一路47號。2009年根據該縣優化資源配置,解決教師緊缺的狀況,該校高中和縣民族中學高中實現了高中資源整合,使縣民族中學高中部整體并入該校(xiao),2011年(nian)9月根據全州(zhou)(zhou)教(jiao)育資源整合(he)和學(xue)校(xiao)布局(ju)調整,按照“高(gao)中(zhong)高(gao)度(du)集中(zhong)州(zhou)(zhou)辦高(gao)中(zhong)”的(de)原(yuan)則(ze),該校(xiao)在祁(qi)連(lian)縣中(zhong)學(xue)高(gao)中(zhong)部的(de)基礎(chu)上(shang),過渡為海北(bei)州(zhou)(zhou)第三高(gao)級中(zhong)學(xue)。
