面具樂隊

1995年9月，Slipknot樂隊成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)立于美國(guo)愛荷華(hua)州(zhou)（又譯艾奧瓦州(zhou)）的首(shou)府得(de)梅因地區，經過成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)立之(zhi)(zhi)初的發展之(zhi)(zhi)后，以(yi)(yi)Shawn "Clown" Crahan為(wei)(wei)首(shou)的這支樂隊最終形成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)了多達九(jiu)人的固定陣容(rong)。Slipknot樂隊也順勢分(fen)別以(yi)(yi)0到8的九(jiu)個數字(zi)來代表每名(ming)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)員，從(cong)(cong)0到8，他們(men)(men)依次是：Sid Wilson，Joey Jordison，Paul Gray（離世），Chris Fehn，James Root，Craig Jones，Shawn "Clown" Crahan，Mick Thomson，Corey Taylor。自從(cong)(cong)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)立之(zhi)(zhi)初，Slipknot樂隊的九(jiu)名(ming)成(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)員們(men)(men)就開(kai)始以(yi)(yi)面(mian)具作為(wei)(wei)他們(men)(men)最重要的表演工具來使(shi)用，無論到哪里，都只見面(mian)具，而不見他們(men)(men)的廬山真(zhen)面(mian)目(mu)。

重金屬音樂

在(zai)(zai)Slipknot樂(le)(le)隊成立(li)之后(hou)，他(ta)們(men)(men)始終(zhong)在(zai)(zai)追求著自己(ji)獨特的(de)音(yin)樂(le)(le)風(feng)格，以自己(ji)的(de)方式來表現音(yin)樂(le)(le)，一(yi)(yi)種狂(kuang)躁，噪聲，黑暗，暴(bao)力，宣泄的(de)重金屬音(yin)樂(le)(le)。不過他(ta)們(men)(men)獨特而瘋狂(kuang)的(de)演出(chu)方式最初在(zai)(zai)當地并(bing)沒(mei)有得(de)到太(tai)多(duo)的(de)認可，但是并(bing)沒(mei)有過太(tai)久(jiu)，他(ta)們(men)(men)狂(kuang)暴(bao)的(de)音(yin)樂(le)(le)就贏(ying)得(de)了(le)很多(duo)年(nian)輕人的(de)追捧。1996年(nian)的(de)萬圣節，Slipknot樂(le)(le)隊自己(ji)錄制了(le)一(yi)(yi)張樣(yang)片《Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.》，并(bing)且在(zai)(zai)1997年(nian)夏天通過內(nei)布拉斯(si)卡州的(de)一(yi)(yi)家(jia)名叫(jiao)-ismist的(de)小唱片公(gong)(gong)(gong)司發售，幸運的(de)是他(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)這(zhe)(zhe)張專輯在(zai)(zai)發行(xing)不久(jiu)之后(hou)得(de)到了(le)一(yi)(yi)家(jia)較(jiao)大的(de)唱片公(gong)(gong)(gong)司Roadrunner Records唱片公(gong)(gong)(gong)司的(de)垂青(qing)，在(zai)(zai)這(zhe)(zhe)一(yi)(yi)年(nian)晚些時候，Slipknot樂(le)(le)隊和Roadrunner Records唱片公(gong)(gong)(gong)司正式簽約(yue)，他(ta)們(men)(men)也開始了(le)與(yu)制作人Ross Robinson之間長期的(de)合作。
