說(shuo)起天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),大多(duo)數人(ren)都(dou)會普遍(bian)客觀(guan)的(de)(de)想到人(ren)類的(de)(de)外表和一雙(shuang)美麗(li)耀(yao)眼的(de)(de)翅(chi)膀(bang)。但也有(you)(you)另(ling)一種(zhong)說(shuo)法——根據圣經的(de)(de)描寫(xie),我們了解到天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)里(li)只(zhi)有(you)(you)至高兩(liang)個等級(ji)(ji)的(de)(de)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(六翼熾天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)撒拉(la)弗)和(智天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)基路伯(bo))這兩(liang)個級(ji)(ji)別(bie)種(zhong)類的(de)(de)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)才有(you)(you)翅(chi)膀(bang),而(er)剩下的(de)(de)絕大多(duo)數天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)是沒有(you)(you)翅(chi)膀(bang)的(de)(de)。例子:創世記(Genesis),這里(li)描寫(xie)道羅德接應兩(liang)位天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)以(yi)人(ren)的(de)(de)模樣(yang)從天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)而(er)來,按照上帝(di)的(de)(de)指令給罪(zui)惡之(zhi)城索(suo)多(duo)瑪實施應有(you)(you)的(de)(de)懲罰。但天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)只(zhi)是以(yi)人(ren)的(de)(de)模樣(yang)呈(cheng)現并沒有(you)(you)描寫(xie)有(you)(you)雙(shuang)翼。然(ran)而(er)之(zhi)后描寫(xie)智天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)基路伯(bo)級(ji)(ji)別(bie)的(de)(de)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)加百列確是以(yi)耀(yao)眼的(de)(de)雙(shuang)翼來記錄的(de)(de),還有(you)(you)后面描寫(xie)的(de)(de)六翼天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)熾天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)撒拉(la)弗級(ji)(ji)別(bie)的(de)(de)也是有(you)(you)光輝(hui)的(de)(de)翅(chi)膀(bang)。所以(yi),并不是所有(you)(you)天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)都(dou)有(you)(you)翅(chi)膀(bang),只(zhi)有(you)(you)熾天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)和智天(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)(tian)使(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)這兩(liang)個至高級(ji)(ji)別(bie)的(de)(de)才有(you)(you)翅(chi)膀(bang)。
在中(zhong)國,很多人(ren)把撒拉弗誤解為熾(chi)(chi)天使(shi)的名(ming)字,其實,撒拉弗只(zhi)是(shi)Seraphim(熾(chi)(chi)天使(shi))的音譯(yi),在圣經中(zhong),真正(zheng)的熾(chi)(chi)天使(shi)(Seraphim)是(shi)加(jia)百列(Gabriel),加(jia)百列是(shi)圣經所記(ji)載的正(zheng)式的的天使(shi)——熾(chi)(chi)天使(shi)。
在(zai)伊斯蘭教中的(de)(de)吉布列(lie)比基督教的(de)(de)加(jia)百列(lie)要更(geng)受重視,以(yi)向(xiang)先(xian)知(zhi)(zhi)穆罕默(mo)德傳達(da)神的(de)(de)話語。加(jia)百列(lie)具有破(po)壞人間(jian)一切污穢事(shi)物的(de)(de)職責(ze),據說本為神寵信的(de)(de)天(tian)使(shi),但因(yin)為拒絕對(dui)羅馬的(de)(de)制裁(cai)而失寵。事(shi)跡亦包括為耶(ye)穌的(de)(de)受胎、復活和誕生等(deng)報(bao)訊,在(zai)圣經《但以(yi)理(li)(li)書》(Daniel9,21-27)中出現,在(zai)偽典bookof Henoch也有提及,遠(yuan)在(zai)500年前便(bian)向(xiang)先(xian)知(zhi)(zhi)但以(yi)理(li)(li)解夢以(yi)預告(gao)基督的(de)(de)降(jiang)臨及希臘(la)滅波斯的(de)(de)未來等(deng)等(deng)。事(shi)跡即為向(xiang)約翰(St.JohntheBaptizer)的(de)(de)父親報(bao)告(gao)約翰誕生及向(xiang)童(tong)女瑪利亞報(bao)告(gao)她將懷孕圣子耶(ye)穌。亦是親手(shou)埋葬摩西的(de)(de)天(tian)使(shi)。
加百列(lie)為守護伊甸園的(de)(de)智(zhi)天使們(men),以防(fang)止(zhi)撒(sa)旦的(de)(de)入(ru)侵。加百列(lie)在審判中(zhong)負責鳴喇叭以示死人(ren)的(de)(de)復活(huo).
