據考證,長(chang)白(bai)山(shan)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)開發利用已(yi)有百余年(nian)(nian)歷(li)史。《長(chang)白(bai)山(shan)匯征錄》(宣統(tong)元(yuan)年(nian)(nian))卷六藥(yao)品篇(pian)詳細記(ji)述(shu)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)的性(xing)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)、功效、采收時間(jian)及加工方法(fa),并記(ji)載(zai)了當時“行(xing)銷內地,每歲所得(de)價值次于(yu)人參”的暢銷景象。《臨江縣志》(1902~1934)記(ji)載(zai),“五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi):其形如珠,其色(se)最紅,善備五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei),故有五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)之稱,能止痰補腎(shen),亦為(wei)出口藥(yao)材之大(da)宗(zong)。”當時全市有十家山(shan)貨莊經營長(chang)白(bai)山(shan)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)。《撫松(song)縣人參志》記(ji)載(zai),撫松(song)縣制(zhi)藥(yao)廠和原(yuan)撫松(song)國營第二參場1985年(nian)(nian)研制(zhi)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)沖劑、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)濃縮汁(zhi)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)味(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)子(zi)香檳原(yuan)漿等精深加工制(zhi)品,早在30多(duo)年(nian)(nian)前就已(yi)經行(xing)銷各地。

感官特征
長白山(shan)五(wu)味(wei)子呈球狀顆(ke)粒,直(zhi)徑5~8mm,表(biao)面紫紅色(se)或暗紅色(se),皺縮,顯油(you)性。果肉(rou)柔軟,肉(rou)厚。內含種子2粒。種子腎形,長4~5mm,寬(kuan)3~4mm,表(biao)面棕黃(huang)色(se),有光澤,種皮脆硬,種仁黃(huang)白色(se),富油(you)性。果肉(rou)氣(qi)微,味(wei)酸甘;種子破碎后有清香氣(qi),味(wei)辛、微苦。
