《鄭文公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》,又稱《鄭羲(xi)(xi)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》,分為上(shang)、下兩(liang)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei),故(gu)又稱《鄭羲(xi)(xi)上(shang)下碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》,上(shang)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)全稱《魏故(gu)中書(shu)(shu)令秘書(shu)(shu)監鄭文公之碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》,下碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)全稱《魏故(gu)中書(shu)(shu)令秘書(shu)(shu)監使持督兗州(zhou)諸軍事安東(dong)將軍兗州(zhou)刺史南陽(yang)文公鄭君之碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》,傳為北魏書(shu)(shu)法家鄭道昭于(yu)永(yong)平(ping)四年(511年)撰刻的摩(mo)崖刻石、楷(kai)書(shu)(shu)書(shu)(shu)法作品。現上(shang)碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)在(zai)山東(dong)省(sheng)平(ping)度縣天柱山,下碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)在(zai)山東(dong)省(sheng)掖縣云峰山之東(dong)寒(han)洞(dong)山。
《鄭(zheng)文(wen)(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》上碑(bei)二(er)十(shi)行(xing),行(xing)五(wu)十(shi)字,下(xia)碑(bei)五(wu)十(shi)一(yi)行(xing),行(xing)二(er)十(shi)九字。兩碑(bei)文(wen)(wen)同,只數處(chu)字句稍異。下(xia)碑(bei)有(you)碑(bei)額,正書(shu)“滎(ying)陽鄭(zheng)文(wen)(wen)公(gong)之碑(bei)”,二(er)行(xing)七字。兩碑(bei)文(wen)(wen)皆(jie)是記述鄭(zheng)道昭父親鄭(zheng)羲的生(sheng)平事跡,文(wen)(wen)多諛詞(ci)且(qie)有(you)失實。
《鄭文公碑(bei)》書法飄(piao)逸,字(zi)態蘊(yun)藉風雅(ya)(ya),結體寬博宕逸,氣勢(shi)雄渾開張(zhang),其筆力(li)矯健(jian),結構新奇(qi),氣勢(shi)磅礴,雄偉多(duo)姿。它既有篆隸之(zhi)勢(shi),復具分(fen)隸之(zhi)雅(ya)(ya),更饒草書之(zhi)情理,萃眾長(chang)于一碑(bei),堪稱佳構。

永平(ping)四(si)年,歲(sui)在(zai)辛卯刊,上碑在(zai)直(zhi)南卌里天柱山之陽,此(ci)下碑也,以石好故于此(ci)刊之。
《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》上、下(xia)兩碑(bei)均刻于北魏(wei)宣武帝永平(ping)四年(511年)。此(ci)碑(bei)的碑(bei)文(wen)上并(bing)無書寫者姓名,清代學(xue)者包(bao)世臣根(gen)據云峰山其他鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭(zhao)所書的刻石字跡,如(ru)《論經詩書》署名“司州滎陽鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭(zhao)作”,藝術特征與《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》極為相(xiang)似,故判斷此(ci)碑(bei)為鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭(zhao)所書。后世研(yan)究者基本認同此(ci)論,但(dan)也(ye)有(you)人認為此(ci)碑(bei)碑(bei)文(wen)是鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭(zhao)所作,而(er)書跡則不能(neng)肯定。
鄭(zheng)道昭曾上表(biao)孝(xiao)文帝(di),求仿漢魏二石(shi)經(jing)之例、刻(ke)經(jing)立石(shi)于太學以(yi)正風(feng)氣(qi),又(you)兩番(fan)上言崇儒敦學。《鄭(zheng)文公碑》當為鄭(zheng)道昭記錄歌(ge)頌其(qi)先考鄭(zheng)羲之功德(de)之作,是他外(wai)放為官時所作。
鄭道(dao)昭(?—516年),字僖伯,河(he)南(nan)(nan)滎陽(yang)(今鄭州滎陽(yang))人(ren),北朝(chao)魏詩(shi)(shi)人(ren)、書(shu)法家,魏碑體的鼻祖,被(bei)譽為“北方書(shu)圣”,在當時與王羲之齊(qi)名(ming),有“北鄭南(nan)(nan)王”之稱。作(zuo)品(pin)有《鄭文(wen)公碑》《論經書(shu)詩(shi)(shi)》《觀(guan)海童(tong)詩(shi)(shi)》等。
《鄭(zheng)文公碑》即是(shi)以篆隸筆法寫楷書,而多取于篆,具體到筆法,其(qi)有以下(xia)幾個明顯(xian)特點:
筆勢外化(hua)的“圓形”特(te)征(zheng)
筆勢的(de)(de)(de)“圓”反映到具體的(de)(de)(de)點(dian)畫上(shang),就是點(dian)畫所蘊含的(de)(de)(de)曲勢,古(gu)人(ren)謂之(zhi)為“向(xiang)、背”,在《鄭文公下碑》中,這(zhe)種向(xiang)背的(de)(de)(de)曲勢明顯多于其他諸如《龍門》等方直的(de)(de)(de)刻石(shi)。用筆的(de)(de)(de)曲勢使(shi)點(dian)畫有外(wai)撐的(de)(de)(de)張力感(gan)(gan),古(gu)人(ren)則常用“屈(qu)鐵(tie)”來比(bi)(bi)喻這(zhe)一(yi)感(gan)(gan)受(shou),借此(ci)比(bi)(bi)較(jiao)容易感(gan)(gan)受(shou)到《鄭文公碑》點(dian)畫中“筆力”的(de)(de)(de)存在。
筆斷意連的虛實變化
《鄭文(wen)公碑》的點畫筆(bi)筆(bi)獨立,筆(bi)畫搭接處多空(kong)斷,但整宇卻筆(bi)勢舒緩,從容中見緊密,體現(xian)出寬(kuan)博方正而(er)又疏宕(dang)蕭散(san)的高古氣度。實與鐘繇正書一脈相承。
用(yong)筆沉(chen)澀堅實的金石氣
清人書評始有“金石氣”之(zhi)謂,其(qi)審(shen)美特(te)征不外蒼茫(mang)、渾厚(hou)、拙樸幾(ji)個方面。這(zhe)種新感(gan)(gan)受(shou)(shou)是(shi)伴隨著“尊碑(bei)”以及(ji)工(gong)具材料的(de)新選擇而形成(cheng)的(de)。但拓片中殘破(po)、斑駁、蒼茫(mang)等直覺感(gan)(gan)受(shou)(shou)是(shi)最重要的(de)啟(qi)發因素。《鄭文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》體(ti)現了(le)摩崖刻石恢弘、雄強(qiang)的(de)氣度,金石氣貫穿始終(zhong),用筆沉(chen)澀堅實是(shi)詮釋這(zhe)一(yi)感(gan)(gan)受(shou)(shou)的(de)最根本手段。同(tong)時意味著摒(bing)棄輕巧(qiao)、浮滑、甜(tian)熟、軟(ruan)塌等弊(bi)端(duan)。但沉(chen)澀堅實絕非死板(ban)僵硬,一(yi)些(xie)習碑(bei)者屢遭(zao)詬病的(de)原因多半(ban)屬此。
《鄭(zheng)文公碑》結體(ti)寬博整(zheng)飭,氣魄雄偉(wei),骨(gu)肉(rou)勻適(shi),通(tong)篇透露(lu)著“蕩蕩乎君子、穆穆乎仁人”的大儒風(feng)范。單(dan)字(zi)或以側得妍(yan),或以正取勢(shi),合篆勢(shi)、分(fen)韻、草情于一體(ti),集(ji)端穩、剛勁、姿媚(mei)于一身,于端莊雄強(qiang)中復含秀麗疏朗,穩健(jian)渾(hun)厚中蘊蓄奇肆飛揚,渾(hun)渾(hun)千余言,筆筆舒暢,字(zi)字(zi)安適(shi),行行流(liu)動。筆畫的走向在字(zi)體(ti)的形態轉側翻舞(wu)中輕柔舒展,姿態多(duo)變又(you)順手拈來,“若星(xing)辰麗天,皆有(you)奇致”。
《鄭文公碑》有(you)隸勢,雖方正寬博,但非一般意義上的(de)橫平豎直,而是或(huo)俯、或(huo)仰、或(huo)欹(yi)、或(huo)正。變化無窮中,循著一定的(de)法度,將每個字安(an)排(pai)的(de)穩健敦實。并力(li)求(qiu)在(zai)橫豎等(deng)主(zhu)體筆(bi)畫(hua)的(de)基礎上,通(tong)過斷筆(bi)、省減、提縱等(deng)技巧(qiao),于(yu)雄強(qiang)、寬博、敦實中恰(qia)到好處地展(zhan)露出(chu)字勢的(de)飛動和空間布白(bai)的(de)疏密(mi)穿插,體現出(chu)把(ba)握對(dui)立統一關系(xi)的(de)高超能(neng)力(li),可(ke)謂結字方面平中寓(yu)奇的(de)典范。
《鄭文公碑》雖然稱碑,其實是摩崖。山中(zhong)巨石(shi)經過簡單的整理,便進(jin)行書(shu)寫(xie)和刻制,無法像(xiang)廟堂(tang)碑刻一樣容許(xu)作者(zhe)精(jing)雕細(xi)琢而(er)纖毫(hao)畢現。這(zhe)就從一定程度(du)上(shang)解除了(le)對(dui)書(shu)者(zhe)的束縛(fu),進(jin)而(er)促成了(le)書(shu)者(zhe)成竹在胸,懸腕面壁如(ru)對(dui)幾案的創作豪氣,最終全(quan)碑洋(yang)洋(yang)千余言,被作者(zhe)隨大小,長短、遠近信手掂出,字(zi)字(zi)見神采,通(tong)篇平(ping)正中(zhong)見奇(qi)崛,從容中(zhong)見跌宕,神完而(er)氣足。至于布白(bai)千余字(zi)于摩崖之(zhi)上(shang),能隨石(shi)面形勢隨機(ji)應變,安(an)排(pai)周詳妥貼,與(yu)山林互為一體。此亦(yi)可大有(you)益于今人書(shu)法展覽形式(shi)之(zhi)思(si)考(kao)與(yu)探索。
《鄭文公碑》雍容古(gu)厚,博大逸(yi)(yi)宕。通篇章法氣象更具(ju)有(you)恢宏斑(ban)斕、蒼雄古(gu)樸(pu)、圓融爛漫之(zhi)(zhi)質(zhi),看似(si)隨(sui)意刻(ke)寫(xie)平淡無奇(qi),但“不求異而(er)人(ren)自不能同(tong)(tong)(tong)之(zhi)(zhi),不求工而(er)世自不能過之(zhi)(zhi)”,天(tian)趣自在,隨(sui)意生(sheng)發(fa),人(ren)力、天(tian)工各臻神妙(miao)。全碑的(de)(de)行(xing)間字距基(ji)本均整而(er)無一處(chu)呆板,康有(you)為形(xing)容如依山而(er)筑的(de)(de)阿房宮,雖延綿數里,樓閣亭臺條理起伏而(er)一絲不亂。在全碑的(de)(de)空白排置上,四周與(yu)碑緣(yuan)保持了一定的(de)(de)距離,形(xing)成一種自然的(de)(de)內擫之(zhi)(zhi)感,與(yu)結字、筆法的(de)(de)外拓之(zhi)(zhi)勢相沖和,為整碑的(de)(de)“質(zhi)實(shi)厚重,宕逸(yi)(yi)神雋”奠定了平穩的(de)(de)基(ji)調。同(tong)(tong)(tong)時,章法的(de)(de)恢宏、斑(ban)斕、蒼古(gu)同(tong)(tong)(tong)樣也離不開(kai)書刻(ke)時的(de)(de)筆致(zhi)之(zhi)(zhi)功,鑿鐫造成字口的(de)(de)破損或點(dian)畫的(de)(de)毛糙、自然分化(hua)形(xing)成斑(ban)爛剝濁的(de)(de)紋理,蘊雅勁美的(de)(de)字形(xing),寬(kuan)博宕逸(yi)(yi)的(de)(de)結體造就了《鄭文公碑》雄渾(hun)開(kai)張(zhang)、蒼茫凄迷(mi)的(de)(de)章法氣勢。
清代學者包世臣:北魏書《經石峪(yu)》大字(zi)、《云峰山五言》《鄭文公(gong)碑》《刁遵墓志(zhi)》為一種,皆出《乙瑛》,有云鶴海鷗之態(tai)。
清代金石學家歐陽輔(fu):筆勢縱橫而無喬(qiao)野獰惡(e)之習,下碑(bei)尤瘦(shou)健絕倫。
清代金石學家葉昌熾:鄭道(dao)昭《云(yun)峰山上下碑》及《論經詩》諸刻,上承分(fen)篆(zhuan),化北方之喬野,如蓽路藍(lan)縷(lv)進于文明。
清代詩人龔自(zi)珍:二(er)王只(zhi)合(he)為奴仆,何況唐碑八百通?欲與(yu)此銘(ming)(《瘞鶴(he)銘(ming)》)分浩逸,北朝差許(xu)鄭文公。
清代(dai)文學家康有為(wei):為(wei)魏(wei)碑圓筆(bi)之極軌。
清(qing)代金石文字學(xue)家(jia)楊守敬:云峰鄭道昭諸(zhu)碑,遒勁奇佛(fo),與南朝《瘞鶴銘》異曲同(tong)工。
滄州師范學院美術系(xi)主任王(wang)玉(yu)池(chi):從拓本看(kan),此碑用筆確很(hen)渾圓,但(dan)看(kan)原石(shi),實方(fang)筆居多。給(gei)人(ren)以圓筆感覺是因(yin)為它屬(shu)摩崖(ya),石(shi)面不平,又字(zi)口多有蝕(shi)所致(zhi)。
近代書法家沈尹默:通觀全碑,但覺氣象淵穆雍容,骨勢(shi)開張洞達(da),若(ruo)逐字察之,則寬和而(er)(er)謹束,平實而(er)(er)峻肆,樸茂(mao)而(er)(er)疏宕(dang),沉雄而(er)(er)清麗(li),極(ji)正書之能事。
現代書法家鐘(zhong)致帥(shuai):云(yun)峰(feng)魏(wei)碑,承漢(han)隸之余韻,啟唐楷之先(xian)聲(sheng)。不失為一代名作(zuo),無愧于(yu)千古佳品。
《鄭(zheng)文公(gong)碑(bei)》最大的魅力(li)在于集篆、隸、草(cao)之(zhi)(zhi)長于一體(ti),用筆(bi)多(duo)圓筆(bi)篆法,結(jie)體(ti)趨于橫(heng)扁,左(zuo)右開張,筆(bi)畫(hua)則轉(zhuan)多(duo)折少,筆(bi)斷意連,可謂“極(ji)正書(shu)之(zhi)(zhi)能事”,因而清代(dai)碑(bei)學興(xing)起(qi)后被推為魏碑(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)冠冕。《鄭(zheng)文公(gong)碑(bei)》同《瘞(yi)鶴(he)銘》一起(qi)被作為北碑(bei)和南碑(bei)的代(dai)表,臨習之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)最多(duo),影響也(ye)最大。
書(shu)(shu)(shu)法(fa)在(zai)(zai)由隸變楷過程中,鄭(zheng)(zheng)道昭堪稱一方重(zhong)鎮,被譽為為“北朝(chao)書(shu)(shu)(shu)圣”。正像顏真卿、黃庭堅等(deng)(deng)人曾經受《瘞鶴銘》的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)影響一樣(yang),《鄭(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》也起了同樣(yang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)作用(yong)。清代葉昌熾《語石》云:“唐(tang)初歐虞褚薛(xue)諸家,皆在(zai)(zai)籠罩之(zhi)內。”《鄭(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》對碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)學(xue)理論的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)豐富以(yi)及中國書(shu)(shu)(shu)法(fa)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)審美產生了較為重(zhong)大(da)影響。尤其(qi)是康(kang)(kang)有為等(deng)(deng)崇碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)家,不但(dan)進行身體力行的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)寫(xie)實踐(jian),并(bing)且對《鄭(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)風格(ge)特(te)點(dian)、技法(fa)演變等(deng)(deng)方面(mian)進行了系統的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)總結(jie),對后世影響巨大(da)。而且,《鄭(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》作為北魏(wei)時(shi)期(qi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)法(fa)名(ming)篇(pian),在(zai)(zai)風格(ge)特(te)點(dian)、技法(fa)手段等(deng)(deng)方面(mian)都(dou)表現出(chu)了很高(gao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)水(shui)平(ping),以(yi)至(zhi)于日本人直(zhi)指《鄭(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)》的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)者(zhe)為北朝(chao)王(wang)羲之(zhi),康(kang)(kang)有為亦稱此碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)為“圓筆之(zhi)極軌”。同時(shi)從得益于此碑(bei)(bei)(bei)(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)(shu)家來看,該刻石營養豐富,是探究書(shu)(shu)(shu)寫(xie)規律的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)重(zhong)要參考。
《鄭文公碑(bei)》并無署名(ming)(ming),宋代趙明(ming)誠《金(jin)(jin)石錄》曾(ceng)予著(zhu)錄,后久(jiu)無人知。至清代中期,在青州境內先后發現鄭道昭題詩題名(ming)(ming)凡三十余種,結字大(da)小不一,雄強茂密,包世臣《藝(yi)舟雙(shuang)楫(ji)》斷《鄭文公碑(bei)》為同出鄭道昭書(shu),后才開(kai)始受到世人關注。《鄭文公碑(bei)》因是摩崖刻石,椎(zhui)拓(tuo)都很困難,尤其是上碑(bei)比較而言,拓(tuo)摹下(xia)碑(bei)還要容易一些,所(suo)以(yi)在清乾(qian)隆時期,下(xia)碑(bei)就(jiu)已(yi)經流傳很廣了。現北京(jing)故(gu)宮博物院藏有(you)明(ming)拓(tuo)本(ben)(上、下(xia)碑(bei)合裝(zhuang)),北京(jing)圖書(shu)館藏有(you)清乾(qian)隆嘉靖間拓(tuo)本(ben)。清代《潛研堂金(jin)(jin)石文跋尾》《山左金(jin)(jin)石志》《平(ping)津館讀碑(bei)記》《八瓊室金(jin)(jin)石補(bu)正》等書(shu)中均有(you)著(zhu)錄。
