《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公碑》,又(you)稱《鄭(zheng)羲(xi)碑》,分為上(shang)、下兩碑,故(gu)又(you)稱《鄭(zheng)羲(xi)上(shang)下碑》,上(shang)碑全(quan)稱《魏故(gu)中書(shu)令秘(mi)書(shu)監鄭(zheng)文(wen)公之(zhi)碑》,下碑全(quan)稱《魏故(gu)中書(shu)令秘(mi)書(shu)監使持督兗州諸軍事安東(dong)將軍兗州刺(ci)史南陽文(wen)公鄭(zheng)君之(zhi)碑》,傳為北魏書(shu)法家鄭(zheng)道昭(zhao)于永(yong)平四年(511年)撰(zhuan)刻的摩(mo)崖刻石、楷書(shu)書(shu)法作品。現上(shang)碑在(zai)山(shan)(shan)東(dong)省平度縣天(tian)柱山(shan)(shan),下碑在(zai)山(shan)(shan)東(dong)省掖縣云峰(feng)山(shan)(shan)之(zhi)東(dong)寒(han)洞山(shan)(shan)。
《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》上(shang)碑(bei)二十行(xing),行(xing)五十字(zi),下(xia)碑(bei)五十一行(xing),行(xing)二十九字(zi)。兩碑(bei)文(wen)同,只數(shu)處字(zi)句稍異。下(xia)碑(bei)有(you)碑(bei)額(e),正書“滎(ying)陽鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)之(zhi)碑(bei)”,二行(xing)七字(zi)。兩碑(bei)文(wen)皆是記(ji)述鄭(zheng)道(dao)昭父親(qin)鄭(zheng)羲的生平事跡(ji),文(wen)多諛(yu)詞(ci)且有(you)失實。
《鄭文公碑(bei)》書法飄逸,字(zi)態蘊藉(jie)風雅,結體寬博(bo)宕(dang)逸,氣(qi)(qi)勢雄(xiong)渾開張(zhang),其(qi)筆力矯健,結構(gou)(gou)新奇,氣(qi)(qi)勢磅礴(bo),雄(xiong)偉(wei)多姿。它既有篆隸之勢,復具(ju)分隸之雅,更饒(rao)草書之情(qing)理,萃眾長于(yu)一碑(bei),堪稱(cheng)佳構(gou)(gou)。

永(yong)平四年,歲在(zai)辛(xin)卯刊,上碑(bei)在(zai)直南卌里天柱山(shan)之陽(yang),此(ci)下碑(bei)也,以石好故于此(ci)刊之。
《鄭(zheng)文公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》上(shang)、下兩碑(bei)(bei)均(jun)刻于北魏宣武帝永平四(si)年(511年)。此(ci)碑(bei)(bei)的(de)碑(bei)(bei)文上(shang)并(bing)無書(shu)(shu)寫者姓名(ming),清(qing)代(dai)學者包世臣根據云峰山其他鄭(zheng)道昭(zhao)所書(shu)(shu)的(de)刻石字跡(ji),如《論經詩(shi)書(shu)(shu)》署名(ming)“司州滎陽(yang)鄭(zheng)道昭(zhao)作”,藝(yi)術特征與《鄭(zheng)文公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》極為(wei)相似,故判(pan)斷(duan)此(ci)碑(bei)(bei)為(wei)鄭(zheng)道昭(zhao)所書(shu)(shu)。后世研究(jiu)者基本認(ren)同此(ci)論,但也有人認(ren)為(wei)此(ci)碑(bei)(bei)碑(bei)(bei)文是鄭(zheng)道昭(zhao)所作,而書(shu)(shu)跡(ji)則不(bu)能(neng)肯(ken)定(ding)。
鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道昭曾上表孝文帝,求仿漢魏二(er)石經(jing)之例、刻(ke)經(jing)立(li)石于太學以正(zheng)風氣,又兩番上言崇儒敦(dun)學。《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文公碑(bei)》當為(wei)鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道昭記錄(lu)歌頌其(qi)先考鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)羲之功德之作,是他(ta)外放為(wei)官時所作。
鄭道昭(?—516年),字僖伯,河(he)南滎(ying)陽(今鄭州(zhou)滎(ying)陽)人,北(bei)朝魏詩(shi)人、書(shu)法家,魏碑(bei)體的(de)鼻(bi)祖(zu),被(bei)譽(yu)為“北(bei)方書(shu)圣”,在當(dang)時與王(wang)(wang)羲(xi)之(zhi)(zhi)齊(qi)名,有(you)“北(bei)鄭南王(wang)(wang)”之(zhi)(zhi)稱。作品(pin)有(you)《鄭文公(gong)碑(bei)》《論經書(shu)詩(shi)》《觀(guan)海童(tong)詩(shi)》等。
《鄭文(wen)公碑》即是(shi)以篆隸(li)筆法寫楷書(shu),而多(duo)取(qu)于篆,具體到(dao)筆法,其有以下幾個(ge)明顯(xian)特點:
筆勢外化的“圓形”特征
筆勢(shi)的(de)(de)(de)“圓”反映到(dao)具體的(de)(de)(de)點(dian)(dian)畫(hua)上,就(jiu)是點(dian)(dian)畫(hua)所蘊含的(de)(de)(de)曲(qu)(qu)勢(shi),古人謂之(zhi)為“向、背”,在《鄭文公下碑》中,這種向背的(de)(de)(de)曲(qu)(qu)勢(shi)明顯多于其他諸(zhu)如(ru)《龍門》等方直的(de)(de)(de)刻(ke)石(shi)。用筆的(de)(de)(de)曲(qu)(qu)勢(shi)使點(dian)(dian)畫(hua)有(you)外(wai)撐的(de)(de)(de)張力感(gan),古人則常用“屈鐵”來比喻這一感(gan)受,借此比較容易感(gan)受到(dao)《鄭文公碑》點(dian)(dian)畫(hua)中“筆力”的(de)(de)(de)存在。
筆斷意連(lian)的虛實變化
《鄭文公碑(bei)》的點畫筆(bi)筆(bi)獨立,筆(bi)畫搭(da)接(jie)處多空斷,但整宇卻筆(bi)勢舒緩,從容中見緊密(mi),體(ti)現出寬博方(fang)正(zheng)而又疏宕(dang)蕭散的高古氣度。實與鐘繇正(zheng)書一脈相承。
用筆沉(chen)澀堅實的(de)金(jin)石氣
清人書評始有“金(jin)石氣(qi)”之謂,其審美(mei)特征不外蒼茫(mang)、渾厚、拙樸(pu)幾個方面。這種新感(gan)受是伴隨著(zhu)“尊碑(bei)(bei)”以及(ji)工具材料的(de)(de)(de)新選擇而形(xing)成的(de)(de)(de)。但拓片中(zhong)殘破(po)、斑(ban)駁(bo)、蒼茫(mang)等(deng)(deng)直覺感(gan)受是最(zui)重要的(de)(de)(de)啟發因素。《鄭(zheng)文公碑(bei)(bei)》體現了摩崖刻石恢弘、雄強的(de)(de)(de)氣(qi)度(du),金(jin)石氣(qi)貫(guan)穿(chuan)始終,用筆沉澀(se)堅實是詮釋這一(yi)感(gan)受的(de)(de)(de)最(zui)根本手(shou)段。同(tong)時意(yi)味(wei)著(zhu)摒棄(qi)輕巧、浮滑、甜熟、軟塌等(deng)(deng)弊端(duan)。但沉澀(se)堅實絕非死板僵硬,一(yi)些(xie)習(xi)碑(bei)(bei)者屢遭詬病的(de)(de)(de)原因多半(ban)屬此。
《鄭(zheng)文公碑》結體寬博(bo)整飭,氣魄雄(xiong)偉,骨(gu)肉勻適(shi),通篇透(tou)露著“蕩(dang)蕩(dang)乎君子、穆穆乎仁人”的大儒(ru)風范。單字或(huo)以(yi)側得妍,或(huo)以(yi)正取勢,合篆勢、分韻(yun)、草情于(yu)一體,集端穩、剛勁、姿媚于(yu)一身(shen),于(yu)端莊雄(xiong)強中(zhong)(zhong)復(fu)含秀麗疏朗,穩健(jian)渾厚中(zhong)(zhong)蘊蓄奇肆飛揚,渾渾千余言,筆(bi)筆(bi)舒暢(chang),字字安適(shi),行(xing)行(xing)流動(dong)。筆(bi)畫的走向在字體的形態轉側翻舞中(zhong)(zhong)輕柔舒展,姿態多變(bian)又(you)順(shun)手拈來,“若星辰(chen)麗天,皆有(you)奇致”。
《鄭文(wen)公(gong)碑》有隸(li)勢(shi),雖方正寬(kuan)博,但非一(yi)般(ban)意義上(shang)的(de)(de)(de)橫(heng)平豎直,而是(shi)或俯、或仰、或欹、或正。變化無窮中,循著一(yi)定的(de)(de)(de)法度(du),將每個字(zi)安排的(de)(de)(de)穩健敦實(shi)。并力(li)(li)求在橫(heng)豎等主體筆畫的(de)(de)(de)基礎上(shang),通(tong)過斷筆、省減(jian)、提縱等技巧,于(yu)雄強、寬(kuan)博、敦實(shi)中恰到好處(chu)地展露出(chu)字(zi)勢(shi)的(de)(de)(de)飛動和空間布(bu)白的(de)(de)(de)疏密(mi)穿插(cha),體現(xian)出(chu)把握對立統一(yi)關系的(de)(de)(de)高超能力(li)(li),可謂結(jie)字(zi)方面平中寓(yu)奇的(de)(de)(de)典范。
《鄭文(wen)公碑(bei)》雖然稱(cheng)碑(bei),其實是摩(mo)崖。山(shan)中巨石(shi)(shi)經過簡單的整理(li),便進行書(shu)寫和刻(ke)(ke)制,無法像(xiang)廟堂碑(bei)刻(ke)(ke)一樣容許作(zuo)者(zhe)精(jing)雕細琢(zhuo)而(er)纖(xian)毫(hao)畢現(xian)。這就從一定程度上解除了對書(shu)者(zhe)的束(shu)縛(fu),進而(er)促成了書(shu)者(zhe)成竹在胸(xiong),懸腕面壁如(ru)對幾案的創作(zuo)豪氣(qi),最終全碑(bei)洋(yang)洋(yang)千余(yu)言,被(bei)作(zuo)者(zhe)隨大小,長短、遠近信(xin)手掂出(chu),字字見神采,通(tong)篇平正(zheng)中見奇崛,從容中見跌宕(dang),神完而(er)氣(qi)足。至(zhi)于(yu)布白(bai)千余(yu)字于(yu)摩(mo)崖之上,能隨石(shi)(shi)面形勢隨機應變,安排周詳妥貼,與山(shan)林互為一體(ti)。此亦可(ke)大有益于(yu)今人書(shu)法展(zhan)覽形式(shi)之思(si)考與探(tan)索。
《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)》雍(yong)容古厚,博(bo)大逸(yi)宕。通篇章(zhang)法氣象更具有恢(hui)宏斑(ban)斕、蒼(cang)(cang)雄(xiong)古樸、圓融爛漫之質(zhi),看似隨意刻寫平淡無奇,但“不(bu)求(qiu)異(yi)而(er)人(ren)自不(bu)能同之,不(bu)求(qiu)工而(er)世自不(bu)能過之”,天趣自在,隨意生發,人(ren)力、天工各臻(zhen)神(shen)妙(miao)。全碑(bei)的(de)(de)(de)行間字(zi)距基(ji)本均(jun)整(zheng)而(er)無一(yi)處呆板,康有為(wei)形(xing)容如依山而(er)筑的(de)(de)(de)阿房(fang)宮,雖延綿數里,樓閣亭臺條理起伏而(er)一(yi)絲不(bu)亂(luan)。在全碑(bei)的(de)(de)(de)空白排置上,四周與碑(bei)緣保持了(le)一(yi)定的(de)(de)(de)距離,形(xing)成一(yi)種自然的(de)(de)(de)內擫之感,與結字(zi)、筆法的(de)(de)(de)外(wai)拓(tuo)之勢(shi)相沖和,為(wei)整(zheng)碑(bei)的(de)(de)(de)“質(zhi)實厚重,宕逸(yi)神(shen)雋(jun)”奠定了(le)平穩的(de)(de)(de)基(ji)調。同時,章(zhang)法的(de)(de)(de)恢(hui)宏、斑(ban)斕、蒼(cang)(cang)古同樣也離不(bu)開(kai)書(shu)刻時的(de)(de)(de)筆致之功(gong),鑿鐫(juan)造成字(zi)口的(de)(de)(de)破損或點畫的(de)(de)(de)毛糙、自然分化形(xing)成斑(ban)爛剝濁的(de)(de)(de)紋理,蘊雅(ya)勁美的(de)(de)(de)字(zi)形(xing),寬博(bo)宕逸(yi)的(de)(de)(de)結體造就(jiu)了(le)《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公碑(bei)》雄(xiong)渾開(kai)張(zhang)、蒼(cang)(cang)茫凄迷的(de)(de)(de)章(zhang)法氣勢(shi)。
清(qing)代學者包世臣:北魏書《經石峪》大(da)字、《云峰(feng)山五言》《鄭(zheng)文公碑(bei)》《刁遵(zun)墓志》為(wei)一種,皆出《乙(yi)瑛(ying)》,有云鶴海鷗之態。
清代金(jin)石學家歐陽輔:筆勢縱(zong)橫(heng)而無喬(qiao)野獰(ning)惡之(zhi)習,下(xia)碑(bei)尤瘦健絕(jue)倫。
清代金石學家葉昌熾:鄭道昭(zhao)《云峰山上下碑》及(ji)《論經詩》諸刻,上承分篆(zhuan),化北方之喬野,如(ru)蓽路藍縷進于文明。
清代詩人龔自珍:二王只合為奴(nu)仆(pu),何(he)況唐(tang)碑(bei)八(ba)百(bai)通?欲與此銘(《瘞鶴銘》)分浩逸,北(bei)朝差許鄭(zheng)文公。
清代文學(xue)家康有為(wei):為(wei)魏碑圓筆之(zhi)極(ji)軌。
清代金石文字(zi)學家楊守(shou)敬:云峰鄭道昭諸(zhu)碑,遒勁奇佛,與南朝《瘞鶴銘》異曲同工。
滄州師范學院美術(shu)系主任(ren)王玉池:從拓(tuo)本看,此(ci)碑用筆(bi)確(que)很(hen)渾圓,但看原石(shi),實(shi)方筆(bi)居多。給人(ren)以圓筆(bi)感覺是因為它(ta)屬摩崖(ya),石(shi)面(mian)不(bu)平(ping),又字口多有蝕所(suo)致(zhi)。
近代書法家沈尹(yin)默:通觀全碑(bei),但覺氣象淵穆雍容(rong),骨勢開(kai)張洞(dong)達,若逐字察之,則寬和而謹(jin)束,平實而峻肆(si),樸茂而疏(shu)宕,沉雄而清(qing)麗,極正(zheng)書之能事。
現代(dai)書法家(jia)鐘致帥:云峰(feng)魏碑,承(cheng)漢隸(li)之(zhi)(zhi)余韻,啟唐楷之(zhi)(zhi)先聲。不失為一代(dai)名作,無愧于(yu)千古佳品。
《鄭文公(gong)碑(bei)》最大的魅力在(zai)于(yu)集篆、隸、草(cao)之(zhi)(zhi)長(chang)于(yu)一體,用筆多(duo)圓筆篆法(fa),結體趨于(yu)橫扁,左(zuo)右開張,筆畫則(ze)轉多(duo)折(zhe)少,筆斷意(yi)連,可謂(wei)“極正書之(zhi)(zhi)能事”,因而清代(dai)(dai)碑(bei)學興起后(hou)被推為(wei)魏碑(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)冠冕。《鄭文公(gong)碑(bei)》同《瘞鶴(he)銘(ming)》一起被作為(wei)北碑(bei)和(he)南碑(bei)的代(dai)(dai)表,臨習之(zhi)(zhi)人最多(duo),影響也最大。
書(shu)(shu)法在由(you)隸變(bian)楷過程中,鄭(zheng)道昭堪稱一(yi)方(fang)(fang)重(zhong)鎮,被譽為(wei)(wei)(wei)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“北朝書(shu)(shu)圣”。正像(xiang)顏真(zhen)卿、黃(huang)庭堅等(deng)人曾經受《瘞鶴銘》的(de)(de)(de)影響一(yi)樣(yang),《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》也起了同(tong)樣(yang)的(de)(de)(de)作用(yong)。清代(dai)葉昌熾《語石》云:“唐初歐虞褚薛諸家(jia)(jia),皆在籠罩之(zhi)(zhi)內(nei)。”《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》對(dui)碑(bei)(bei)學理論的(de)(de)(de)豐富以及中國(guo)書(shu)(shu)法的(de)(de)(de)審美(mei)產(chan)生了較為(wei)(wei)(wei)重(zhong)大影響。尤(you)其是(shi)康有(you)為(wei)(wei)(wei)等(deng)崇碑(bei)(bei)的(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)家(jia)(jia),不但進行(xing)身體力(li)行(xing)的(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)寫實踐,并且對(dui)《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》的(de)(de)(de)風格(ge)特點(dian)、技法演變(bian)等(deng)方(fang)(fang)面進行(xing)了系統的(de)(de)(de)總結,對(dui)后世影響巨大。而(er)且,《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》作為(wei)(wei)(wei)北魏(wei)時(shi)期(qi)的(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)法名篇,在風格(ge)特點(dian)、技法手(shou)段等(deng)方(fang)(fang)面都表現(xian)出了很(hen)高的(de)(de)(de)水(shui)平,以至于日(ri)本人直指《鄭(zheng)文(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)(bei)》的(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)者為(wei)(wei)(wei)北朝王羲之(zhi)(zhi),康有(you)為(wei)(wei)(wei)亦稱此碑(bei)(bei)為(wei)(wei)(wei)“圓筆之(zhi)(zhi)極軌(gui)”。同(tong)時(shi)從(cong)得益于此碑(bei)(bei)的(de)(de)(de)書(shu)(shu)家(jia)(jia)來看,該(gai)刻石營(ying)養豐富,是(shi)探(tan)究書(shu)(shu)寫規(gui)律的(de)(de)(de)重(zhong)要參(can)考(kao)。
《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》并無(wu)署名(ming),宋(song)代(dai)(dai)趙明(ming)誠(cheng)《金石(shi)錄(lu)》曾予著(zhu)錄(lu),后久無(wu)人知。至清代(dai)(dai)中期,在(zai)青州境內先后發現鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭題詩題名(ming)凡三(san)十余(yu)種,結字大(da)小不一(yi),雄強茂(mao)密,包(bao)世臣《藝舟雙楫》斷(duan)《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》為同出(chu)鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)道(dao)昭書,后才(cai)開始受(shou)到世人關注。《鄭(zheng)(zheng)(zheng)文(wen)(wen)公(gong)碑(bei)》因是摩崖刻(ke)石(shi),椎(zhui)拓(tuo)都(dou)很困難,尤(you)其(qi)是上(shang)碑(bei)比較而言,拓(tuo)摹下碑(bei)還要容易一(yi)些,所以在(zai)清乾隆時期,下碑(bei)就已(yi)經流傳很廣了(le)。現北(bei)京故宮博物院藏有明(ming)拓(tuo)本(上(shang)、下碑(bei)合裝(zhuang)),北(bei)京圖書館藏有清乾隆嘉靖間(jian)拓(tuo)本。清代(dai)(dai)《潛研堂金石(shi)文(wen)(wen)跋尾》《山左金石(shi)志》《平津館讀碑(bei)記》《八瓊室金石(shi)補正(zheng)》等書中均有著(zhu)錄(lu)。
