校內各科組、教(jiao)師(shi)、學生(sheng)在(zai)各級別競賽中也屢屢獲獎,尤其是學生(sheng)代(dai)表海(hai)口市(shi)參加(jia)第(di)七屆全(quan)國(guo)華羅庚(geng)金(jin)杯比賽獲得銅牌,實(shi)現了海(hai)口市(shi)這項(xiang)競賽在(zai)全(quan)國(guo)總決賽中獎牌零的突破。學校校長鄧有才(cai)一連七次被評(ping)為海(hai)口市(shi)先進(jin)教(jiao)師(shi),還被評(ping)為海(hai)口市(shi)勞模、優(you)秀共(gong)產黨員、教(jiao)研積極分子、海(hai)南(nan)省先進(jin)教(jiao)師(shi)、全(quan)國(guo)優(you)秀教(jiao)師(shi)、全(quan)國(guo)數學競賽優(you)秀指導教(jiao)師(shi)等。

該校(xiao)在保(bao)證兩類課程教學質量的基礎上,為讓學生(sheng)的特(te)長得于發展,該校(xiao)開設了(le)藝(yi)術教育特(te)色班(ban)(ban)。有兩個(ge)(ge)弦樂班(ban)(ban),兩個(ge)(ge)芭蕾舞班(ban)(ban),一(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)手(shou)風(feng)琴(qin)班(ban)(ban),一(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)電子琴(qin)班(ban)(ban),一(yi)(yi)個(ge)(ge)合唱(chang)班(ban)(ban),兩個(ge)(ge)美術班(ban)(ban)以及各種技(ji)藝(yi)隊。特(te)色班(ban)(ban)的學生(sheng)在訓練中陶(tao)冶了(le)情操(cao),提高了(le)能力。
