博白(bai)空(kong)心(xin)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)(博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai))歷史(shi)悠(you)(you)久,品種(zhong)優良,尤(you)其以(yi)博白(bai)縣(xian)城郊南門塘的(de)最(zui)有(you)(you)名(ming)。古時的(de)廣西玉林曾有(you)(you)過這樣的(de)說(shuo)法:“陸川豬,北流魚,博白(bai)靚蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)”。可(ke)見博白(bai)空(kong)心(xin)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)(博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai))確實(shi)早已譽(yu)滿神州,名(ming)揚(yang)海(hai)外(wai)。博白(bai)縣(xian)第二本(ben)縣(xian)志(zhi),為(wei)清道光十二年(nian)(1832年(nian))重鑄的(de)乾(qian)隆時期的(de)《博白(bai)縣(xian)志(zhi)》(第一(yi)本(ben)縣(xian)志(zhi)是乾(qian)隆時期的(de)手抄本(ben),已失傳),在該縣(xian)志(zhi)第三冊,十二卷(juan)物產綱,蔬(shu)屬篇(pian)中,就有(you)(you)“蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)”的(de)記載,據《博白(bai)縣(xian)志(zhi)》(1988建國(guo)后(hou)第一(yi)冊)卷(juan)九第一(yi)章(zhang)第一(yi)目記載:“博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai),又叫空(kong)心(xin)菜(cai)(cai)(cai),或通心(xin)菜(cai)(cai)(cai),是一(yi)年(nian)生草本(ben)植(zhi)物,莖空(kong)心(xin),蔓生,是博白(bai)縣(xian)的(de)特產鮮(xian)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)。它栽植(zhi)于水(shui)田,特點(dian)是莖長葉疏(shu)、葉尾尖細、鮮(xian)綠(lv)脆嫩;把莖蔓折斷(duan)成(cheng)段(duan),其斷(duan)口(kou)即(ji)裂開卷(juan)縮,狀似喇叭;煮熟后(hou),次日仍保(bao)持原(yuan)來(lai)的(de)青綠(lv)色(se)澤。博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)湯(tang)清淡可(ke)口(kou)被譽(yu)為(wei)“青龍過海(hai)”,是人(ren)們喜(xi)愛(ai)的(de)素食湯(tang)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)之一(yi)。博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)具有(you)(you)清暑解(jie)毒、消(xiao)食去(qu)膩、生津、消(xiao)炎(yan)之功(gong)能。便(bian)秘者,吃上能使大(da)便(bian)暢通;對高血壓病人(ren)亦(yi)有(you)(you)療養。博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)歷史(shi)悠(you)(you)久,200多年(nian)前,已名(ming)揚(yang)海(hai)外(wai)。博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)以(yi)鮮(xian)美(mei)脆嫩著稱(cheng),遠銷(xiao)區內(nei)外(wai)。一(yi)位詩人(ren)品嘗博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)后(hou),曾留下(xia)“席間一(yi)試(shi)青龍味,半夜醒來(lai)嘴(zui)猶(you)香”的(de)詩句。游子歸來(lai)以(yi)吃上博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)最(zui)為(wei)稱(cheng)心(xin),外(wai)來(lai)旅人(ren)也(ye)以(yi)品嘗博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)為(wei)快。博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)田,泥肉較深,土質肥沃,灌溉方便(bian),經常保(bao)持4到5寸水(shui)層(ceng);肥料全(quan)部施(shi)用腐(fu)熟的(de)農家水(shui)肥,不施(shi)化肥。但在異國(guo)他(ta)鄉用博白(bai)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)的(de)種(zhong)子培植(zhi)的(de)蕹(weng)(weng)(weng)菜(cai)(cai)(cai)味道卻大(da)為(wei)遜色(se)。”
