建筑特征
紫霞觀(guan)觀(guan)內(nei)巍峨的殿(dian)宇建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)群落(luo)金碧輝煌,雕梁畫棟,布(bu)局(ju)嚴謹,供奉(feng)道(dao)教尊神。宗教建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)有老子出關(guan)(guan)亭(ting)、三清殿(dian)、慈航殿(dian)、祖師(shi)壇、關(guan)(guan)圣殿(dian)、玉皇殿(dian)等(deng)5殿(dian)、3宮(gong)、2亭(ting)、2廟、1閣,大小殿(dian)廟約30余(yu)座。現建(jian)(jian)有八仙山、仙人足跡石、南天門(men)、中華同(tong)心(xin)鎖(suo)等(deng)景點。景區內(nei)巍峨的建(jian)(jian)筑(zhu)群落(luo)與亭(ting)林樓(lou)閣錯落(luo)有致(zhi)、環境(jing)幽(you)美(mei)(mei)。終年香火鼎盛、朝拜者絡繹不絕,因其確屬(shu)一(yi)方不可多得(de)的風水(shui)寶(bao)地,觀(guan)內(nei)環境(jing)優美(mei)(mei),交通便利,而(er)享有“湘(xiang)西第(di)一(yi)觀(guan)”的美(mei)(mei)譽。
歷史傳說
據今800多年前的南宋初期,武陵蠻(man)王向氏(shi),不皈王化,自稱天子(zi),踞險抗雄(xiong)?朝廷便(bian)遣楊(yang)(yang)門五(wu)女提(ti)師(shi)進剿?向王匿(ni)于洞(dong)(dong)中,有兩位民(min)婦侍護?官兵攻而不克,楊(yang)(yang)八姐腦怒,便(bian)炮(pao)圮洞(dong)(dong)門?只見(jian)(jian)巨石(shi)空裂,一男二女便(bian)哀死洞(dong)(dong)中?土(tu)人見(jian)(jian)晨暮之際,崩石(shi)隙間(jian)有煙霞靄(ai)靄(ai),如虹如霓,深(shen)感其義,傳為仙蹤(zong)魅跡(ji)?
元(yuan)季,道(dao)(dao)士張玄陵(ling)云游至此(ci),路憩崖下,依松入夢(meng),見二婦(fu)人持拂塵而立,道(dao)(dao)貌仙(xian)姿,一婦(fu)曰:“吾(wu)乃紫姑也?”指(zhi)另一婦(fu)曰:“彼乃霞姑也,我們(men)與(yu)向(xiang)(xiang)王禁于(yu)此(ci)地,得呂祖超度(du),羽化(hua)為仙(xian)?向(xiang)(xiang)王被(bei)封為青崖山君,宿天子園?令(ling)我等在(zai)此(ci)保佑民眾,今(jin)已冷落三百余年矣?”言(yan)罷(ba),道(dao)(dao)士夢(meng)醒,譫言(yan)其事,后便在(zai)此(ci)結草為庵,始開山禁?
明(ming)嘉靖中(zhong)期,道士(shi)張香庭住在草庵(an),時逢荊(jing)南(nan)分(fen)守兼九(jiu)(溪(xi))永(yong)(定(ding))兵備胡桂芳過此(ci),以為(wei)(wei)婁山(shan)之(zhi)(zhi)陰,洞云深處而無一(yi)寺一(yi)觀(guan)(guan)(guan),為(wei)(wei)淳民風,便(bian)出資(zi)建(jian)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)?明(ming)崇(chong)禎末年(nian)(nian),此(ci)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)被(bei)賊所(suo)毀?到清朝雍正(zheng)年(nian)(nian)間,當(dang)地(di)土人(ren)掘得仙人(ren)足跡(ji)石后(hou),又聚資(zi)重(zhong)建(jian)?由(you)于(yu)當(dang)時慈利(li)縣城有紫霞觀(guan)(guan)(guan)一(yi)座,此(ci)地(di)為(wei)(wei)慈邑所(suo)轄,便(bian)在此(ci)同名建(jian)觀(guan)(guan)(guan),合(he)祀(si)為(wei)(wei)一(yi)?同治年(nian)(nian)間,此(ci)觀(guan)(guan)(guan)又毀于(yu)兵燹?地(di)老天荒,知者(zhe)少也?直到1992年(nian)(nian),由(you)于(yu)武(wu)陵源旅游業興,人(ren)們見山(shan)水(shui)風光(guang)奇殊,人(ren)文(wen)景觀(guan)(guan)(guan)遜色(se),由(you)是(shi),俚人(ren)懷(huai)古,集資(zi)于(yu)故址重(zhong)建(jian)今(jin)日之(zhi)(zhi)紫霞觀(guan)(guan)(guan)?

遠(yuan)望紫(zi)霞觀,巍峨(e)的建筑群落與亭臺樓閣高低錯(cuo)落,掩(yan)映于幽篁翠(cui)柏叢中,不時有清脆的鐘(zhong)磬(qing)之音傳(chuan)出,古韻悠然。
老(lao)子(zi)出關亭(ting),是(shi)(shi)自(zi)下(xia)(xia)而(er)上(shang)的(de)第一(yi)層建筑,山門上(shang)題有“道法自(zi)然(ran)”四字,兩邊(bian)是(shi)(shi)“三(san)千奇峰始得正覺(jue)常步云(yun),八(ba)百秀水為(wei)成(cheng)大(da)道爭入海(hai)”。出關亭(ting)內,正中是(shi)(shi)“老(lao)子(zi)騎(qi)(qi)青(qing)牛(niu)”塑像。老(lao)子(zi),身著(zhu)道袍,手執拂塵,鶴發童顏,須髯飄然(ran),濃(nong)眉(mei)善目(mu),日角(jiao)月(yue)懸,神(shen)情淡泊安然(ran);胯下(xia)(xia)是(shi)(shi)那溫順壯(zhuang)健而(er)平(ping)和樸(pu)拙的(de)青(qing)牛(niu)。據傳,老(lao)子(zi)生下(xia)(xia)來就是(shi)(shi)這般(ban)模樣。他生于(yu)戰亂頻仍,社會急劇變化的(de)春(chun)秋時期,目(mu)睹周王室(shi)衰敗,騎(qi)(qi)青(qing)牛(niu)離(li)周隱去。在西游至函谷關時,遇(yu)見(jian)關令尹(yin)喜,請為(wei)著(zhu)書立說(shuo),老(lao)子(zi)于(yu)是(shi)(shi)留(liu)下(xia)(xia)《道德經》五千妙言。其要(yao)義為(wei),“空虛無形之(zhi)(zhi)道,乃萬(wan)物孕生之(zhi)(zhi)母”,治國修(xiu)身,應“致(zhi)虛極,守靜(jing)篤”,效法天道自(zi)然(ran),講(jiang)究清靜(jing)無為(wei)。后世將他神(shen)靈化,宣揚老(lao)子(zi)先于(yu)開天辟(pi)地之(zhi)(zhi)前,與萬(wan)物本源(yuan)之(zhi)(zhi)道同為(wei)一(yi)體。“老(lao)子(zi)騎(qi)(qi)青(qing)牛(niu)”四周,布置(zhi)以(yi)老(lao)子(zi)說(shuo)法度人圖,共(gong)百條(tiao)幅,皆為(wei)道教傳說(shuo)中故事。
出(chu)亭往上,是“之”字拐石級(ji)路,沿途兩邊乃八仙(xian)(xian)山。八大仙(xian)(xian)人,或(huo)(huo)姓(xing)張(zhang)或(huo)(huo)姓(xing)呂,或(huo)(huo)姓(xing)韓或(huo)(huo)姓(xing)李(li);有(you)(you)貴為皇親(qin)國(guo)戚(qi)的(de),有(you)(you)衣衫襤褸、醉歌游市(shi)的(de),有(you)(you)仗劍除惡的(de);有(you)(you)風采卓然的(de),也(ye)有(you)(you)丑陋邋遢的(de);他們(men)或(huo)(huo)穿紅或(huo)(huo)著綠,或(huo)(huo)散發或(huo)(huo)跛(bo)足。各自攜帶(dai)著看家法寶,或(huo)(huo)拄杖(zhang),或(huo)(huo)挎(kua)籃,或(huo)(huo)持大拍板。雖形(xing)容(rong)不(bu)同,神態各異,但卻個(ge)個(ge)飄逸氣(qi)爽,快樂逍(xiao)遙。民間流(liu)傳,“八仙(xian)(xian)過海,各顯(xian)神通”,充(chong)滿著生活的(de)動感和靈韻。他們(men)姓(xing)氏(shi)性別(bie)不(bu)同,尊(zun)卑貴賤有(you)(you)別(bie),但殊途同歸,終(zhong)至成(cheng)仙(xian)(xian)就道。
