胡旦(955-1034年),渤(bo)海(今山(shan)東惠民(min))人,字周父(fu),喜讀書,宋太宗(zong)大平興國三年(978)戊(wu)寅科狀元。
胡旦少有才(cai)學,善于(yu)文(wen)辭。呂(lv)狀元后,為(wei)將作監丞,通(tong)判(pan)升州,遷左(zuo)拾遺,入(ru)值(zhi)史館。因(yin)上《河(he)平頌》,議(yi)論時(shi)政,忤怒太宗,貶(bian)為(wei)殿(dian)中丞。后來(lai),胡旦又上《平燕議(yi)》,建(jian)議(yi)出兵收(shou)復燕云(yun)十(shi)六州,受太宗賞識,起為(wei)左(zuo)補闕,復值(zhi)史館,遷修撰,以尚(shang)書(shu)戶部員外郎身份知制誥(gao)。
胡(hu)旦(dan)(dan)家境(jing)貧困,死去無(wu)錢安(an)葬,只得停棺房(fang)內,胡(hu)旦(dan)(dan)生前一(yi)好友上報朝(chao)廷,朝(chao)廷遂賜(si)錢二十萬(wan),使胡(hu)旦(dan)(dan)入土(tu)為安(an)。
宋太(tai)宗元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)年,有一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)到山東某縣游(you)覽。知(zhi)縣大(da)人得知(zhi)該書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)頗有文采(cai),便設宴款待。知(zhi)縣的公(gong)(gong)子(zi)很蔑視那書(shu)(shu)生(sheng),問(wen)其有何特(te)長,書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)說工詩(shi)。公(gong)(gong)子(zi)便讓他誦(song)讀(du)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)首,書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)誦(song)了一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)首,最后(hou)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)句是(shi):“挑盡寒燈夢不成。”公(gong)(gong)子(zi)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)聽,大(da)笑說:“此(ci)乃一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)瞌睡漢(han)。”書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)十(shi)分(fen)氣憤(fen)。這書(shu)(shu)生(sheng)便是(shi)呂蒙(meng)正(zheng)(zheng),第二(er)年,呂蒙(meng)正(zheng)(zheng)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)舉(ju)(ju)奪魁。他寫信(xin)給那公(gong)(gong)子(zi):“瞌睡漢(han)如今中(zhong)了狀元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)啦。”公(gong)(gong)子(zi)看了他的信(xin),冷笑一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)聲:“待我明(ming)年第二(er)人及第,輸你(ni)一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)籌。”第二(er)年,新科(ke)狀元(yuan)(yuan)(yuan)正(zheng)(zheng)是(shi)這位(wei)公(gong)(gong)子(zi)——胡(hu)旦。綜觀科(ke)舉(ju)(ju)史(shi),有如此(ci)自信(xin)者,胡(hu)旦當屬第一(yi)(yi)(yi)(yi)。
真宗時拜吏部侍郎,后以病請辭,遵旨薦寇準(zhun)以代己職(zhi)。
胡(hu)量喜讀書,失明(ming)后,仍令(ling)人朗讀經史(shi)。晚(wan)年臧(zang)否人物,議(yi)論(lun)時(shi)政之(zhi)病(bing)人依舊,被時(shi)論(lun)所鄙薄。胡(hu)旦學識淵博,著述甚三,有《漢(han)春秋》、《五(wu)代史(shi)略》、《將帥要略》、《演(yan)圣通(tong)訟》、《唐乘》、《家傳》三百(bai)余卷(juan)傳世。曾制一(yi)大硯(yan),方五(wu)六(liu)尺,上刻“胡(hu)旦修(xiu)漢(han)春秋硯(yan)”字樣埋入地下,以傳后世。
《義門記》
易曰:立(li)天之(zhi)道(dao),曰陰(yin)與陽;立(li)地(di)之(zhi)道(dao),曰柔與剛(gang);立(li)人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)道(dao),曰仁與義(yi)。陰(yin)陽運化,天之(zhi)全(quan)功也(ye);剛(gang)柔成形,地(di)之(zhi)全(quan)德(de)(de)也(ye);仁義(yi)厲教(jiao),人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)全(quan)行也(ye)。故古之(zhi)圣王,則(ze)乎(hu)(hu)天,法乎(hu)(hu)地(di),理乎(hu)(hu)人(ren)(ren)。堯舜帥天下以(yi)(yi)仁,湯(tang)武帥天下以(yi)(yi)義(yi)。義(yi)也(ye)者,仁之(zhi)基、行之(zhi)本也(ye)。所以(yi)(yi)敦九族、協萬邦、厚(hou)人(ren)(ren)倫、美風俗者也(ye)。周德(de)(de)方盛(sheng),文王化行,關雎(ju)樂而(er)不(bu)淫(yin),螽斯仁而(er)不(bu)姤,子(zi)孫(sun)眾多(duo),流(liu)于(yu)歌詠。其(qi)詩(shi)曰:“螽斯羽(yu)詵詵兮(xi),宜爾子(zi)孫(sun)振(zhen)振(zhen)兮(xi)。”內(nei)崇親(qin)戚,外(wai)樹聲教(jiao)。聲教(jiao)所被,由家而(er)國。其(qi)詩(shi)曰:“刑(xing)于(yu)寡妻,至于(yu)兄弟,以(yi)(yi)御于(yu)家邦。”然戰國亡親(qin),秦(qin)廢諸子(zi),漢滅親(qin)王,魏則(ze)聚鄴以(yi)(yi)終亡,晉則(ze)分藩(fan)以(yi)(yi)篡弒,迨夫隋唐失綱,皆(jie)無足尚我(wo)太(tai)宗圣德(de)(de)隆盛(sheng),人(ren)(ren)民(min)親(qin)睦。

仲之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)子崇,乃立家法垂示將來。故自(zi)序(xu)云(yun):我家襲(xi)秘監之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)累功(gong),承著作之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)遺訓,代傳孝弟,業繼典墳。由(you)是子孫(sun)益多,上下和(he)睦(mu)(mu)。然云(yun)礽(reng)既遠愚(yu)不同,茍無敦(dun)睦(mu)(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)方(fang),慮乖孝友之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)訓。今繩之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)以(yi)(yi)規(gui)矩,則序(xu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)以(yi)(yi)尊(zun)卑(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)分。推功(gong)任能,懲惡勸善,下令(ling)子孫(sun)世(shi)守家規(gui),永敦(dun)和(he)睦(mu)(mu)。于(yu)是立主事以(yi)(yi)專家政,置庫(ku)司以(yi)(yi)掌家財,立莊長以(yi)(yi)督租賦,勘(kan)司以(yi)(yi)序(xu)男女,家塾以(yi)(yi)教童(tong)稚,道院以(yi)(yi)業焚修,巫祝(zhu)以(yi)(yi)備禱祈,醫師以(yi)(yi)供(gong)藥石(shi),匠作以(yi)(yi)資器用,辟(pi)書(shu)院以(yi)(yi)待學(xue)(xue)者,構(gou)廨宇以(yi)(yi)奉公門,其余酒漿鹽米之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)儲、衣履(lv)笄箱之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)用、三時飲(yin)食之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)節、四(si)時晏會之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)期、長幼(you)出入(ru)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)儀、晨昏定省之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)禮(li)、婚姻吊(diao)喪、送往迎來、凡諸(zhu)纖悉(xi)莫不周詳。然而(er)贓獲不入(ru)其門,鷹(ying)犬不為其玩,天文圖(tu)識之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)學(xue)(xue)弗精,縱橫詭譎之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)謀(mou)弗尚,商賈(jia)營販之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)利弗習,娼優(you)賭博之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)徒弗近,室無私財,廚(chu)無別饌,子弟知教,內(nei)外如一。于(yu)時,崇為江州長史,檢校散(san)騎(qi)常侍(shi),兼御史大夫,賜紫金魚袋。
簡注:
宗法之(zhi)(zhi)行(xing),始(shi)于唐(tang)(tang)昭宗大順元年庚(geng)戍(注:即(ji)(ji)公(gong)元890年)也(ye),至(zhi)袞(gun)為(wei)江(jiang)州參軍,試(shi)太(tai)常(chang)寺丞(cheng),奉禮部郎,直至(zhi)南唐(tang)(tang)李(li)昪旌表孝弟,標揭門(men)閭。于是陳氏(shi)特立(li)(li)義(yi)門(men),義(yi)門(men)之(zhi)(zhi)立(li)(li),始(shi)于李(li)昪丁酉(注:即(ji)(ji)公(gong)元937年)也(ye)。昪卒煜(yu)立(li)(li)(注:昪卒璟(jing)立(li)(li),璟(jing)故煜(yu)立(li)(li)。),又蠲(juan)(juan)其沿徵(zhi)科役。開寶末(注:宋(song)太(tai)祖趙匡胤年號,即(ji)(ji)公(gong)元975年),太(tai)平興國七年(注:即(ji)(ji)公(gong)元982),右(you)補闕(que)直史館張齊賢為(wei)轉運使,奏(zou)(zou)言(yan)“陳氏(shi)屢(lv)世(shi)義(yi)門(men),全家(jia)(jia)孝行(xing),在煜(yu)時尚(shang)蒙蠲(juan)(juan)恤(xu),于圣朝豈令徵(zhi)收?宜免(mian)本戶沿徵(zhi)雜派(pai),庶彰(zhang)大化。”上可(ke)其奏(zou)(zou)。淳化初,殿(dian)中(zhong)丞(cheng)相唐(tang)(tang)戩理江(jiang)州事,又奏(zou)(zou)“陳氏(shi)一宗骨(gu)肉千口(kou),近年乏食,饑貧難濟,請每春貸粟二千石以贍之(zhi)(zhi),(俟豐年還官)”。(詔可(ke))。至(zhi)道中(zhong)(注:宋(song)太(tai)宗趙光義(yi)年號,即(ji)(ji)公(gong)元995-997年),太(tai)宗遣內侍裴愈(yu)(yu)赍御(yu)書散(san)三(san)吳名山寺觀,德義(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)家(jia)(jia)皆賜(si)一本,陳氏(shi)所得凡三(san)十三(san)卷(juan),藏于家(jia)(jia)。愈(yu)(yu)復上《陳氏(shi)家(jia)(jia)法》二篇,太(tai)宗曰:“天下有此人家(jia)(jia),真良家(jia)(jia)也(ye)!”敕愈(yu)(yu)送史館繕寫,賜(si)王公(gong)各(ge)一本,使知義(yi)門(men)傳家(jia)(jia)之(zhi)(zhi)法。愈(yu)(yu)遂(sui)言(yan):陳氏(shi)每歲租米四千斛,距江(jiang)州二百余里,舟(zhou)車不通,常(chang)告二千斛腳值。若就德安倉輸納,以充軍馬驛料,則天恩加惠義(yi)門(men)者厚矣。太(tai)宗許之(zhi)(zhi)。
袞立(li)義(yi)門坊(fang);昉(fang)主(zhu)家(jia)三十五(wu)年(nian)(nian);崇為(wei)(wei)(wei)長吏;勛為(wei)(wei)(wei)蒲圻(qi)令;玫為(wei)(wei)(wei)德化令;禮(li)為(wei)(wei)(wei)吉安(an)令;袞為(wei)(wei)(wei)司戶(hu)參軍;昉(fang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)太仆少(shao)卿(qing);恭為(wei)(wei)(wei)洪都(dou)掌書院;密(mi)知(zhi)武陽事(shi);皆為(wei)(wei)(wei)衣(yi)冠之俊者也(ye)。秩為(wei)(wei)(wei)都(dou)知(zhi)兵(bing)馬(ma)使;讓為(wei)(wei)(wei)衙(ya)前兵(bing)馬(ma)使;繆、渥、藹為(wei)(wei)(wei)節度押衙(ya)使;郜(gao)為(wei)(wei)(wei)蒙義(yi)軍都(dou)頭使;輝為(wei)(wei)(wei)討擘副(fu)使;涼為(wei)(wei)(wei)教練使;皆為(wei)(wei)(wei)官職之選者也(ye)。若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)昭(zhao)、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)昱、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)琛、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)傳、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)遜、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)儼、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)度、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)漸、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)永、若(ruo)(ruo)(ruo)續、延年(nian)(nian)并登(deng)進士第;而(er)(er)喬省象誥策(ce)碧岳位諗延芝俱擅(shan)詞場,皆為(wei)(wei)(wei)文學之英才也(ye)。斯乃五(wu)世(shi)而(er)(er)昌,八世(shi)而(er)(er)大(da),非獨(du)田完(wan)之興齊,實乃陳氏(shi)之永世(shi)也(ye)。
夫(fu)(fu)天(tian)(tian)地一(yi)(yi)氣也(ye)(ye)(ye),萬(wan)民(min)一(yi)(yi)姓也(ye)(ye)(ye),政(zheng)教一(yi)(yi)體(ti)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。若(ruo)清若(ruo)濁者,為(wei)善(shan)為(wei)惡(e)者,好仁(ren)好義(yi)者,固有(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)同(tong)。余觀陳(chen)(chen)氏(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)宗(zong),清而(er)純(chun),善(shan)而(er)和(he),義(yi)而(er)正(zheng);才(cai)者不(bu)(bu)(bu)矜,技者不(bu)(bu)(bu)炫,清純(chun)者也(ye)(ye)(ye);富而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)驕,貧而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)怨,善(shan)和(he)者也(ye)(ye)(ye);有(you)勇不(bu)(bu)(bu)犯,有(you)剛不(bu)(bu)(bu)折,義(yi)正(zheng)者也(ye)(ye)(ye)。吾以為(wei)士(shi)大夫(fu)(fu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)族,未有(you)若(ruo)陳(chen)(chen)宗(zong)者也(ye)(ye)(ye)。謂其敦堯舜之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道,循湯(tang)武之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)法,受文王之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)化,承(cheng)召(zhao)公(gong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)訓歟!不(bu)(bu)(bu)然,何其義(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)若(ruo)是哉!天(tian)(tian)兵討江州也(ye)(ye)(ye),陳(chen)(chen)氏(shi)昆弟(di)七(qi)人,皆在圍中。及城(cheng)破,軍民(min)殺傷(shang)者殆盡,而(er)七(qi)人異處同(tong)歸,一(yi)(yi)無所(suo)傷(shang),義(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)感也(ye)(ye)(ye)。至(zhi)(zhi)道以來,仍歲(sui)饑荒,陳(chen)(chen)氏(shi)舉家啜粥,雜(za)以藻菜,怡然相安,義(yi)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)至(zhi)(zhi)也(ye)(ye)(ye)。丁(ding)酉歲(sui)(997)夏,予以兵部(bu)尚書掌綸誥持史筆,坐命詞(ci)不(bu)(bu)(bu)當,連貶嶺表。己亥歲(sui)(999),會(hui)赦東歸。過潯陽,登盧峰,得諸陳(chen)(chen)氏(shi)宅,覽世譜,閱家法,詢(xun)事實,具知其狀,因為(wei)記,庶乎傳之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)四(si)方(fang),留示(shi)來葉者。
辭曰:舜(shun)有(you)至德(de),其后必昌。曄曄陳氏,宗(zong)義(yi)刮飏。家法(fa)式定(ding),義(yi)門表(biao)德(de)。如何在上,示為(wei)世(shi)則(ze)。古(gu)人(ren)有(you)言,家法(fa)如官。官若為(wei)義(yi),其為(wei)必安。義(yi)則(ze)非利(li)(li),利(li)(li)則(ze)非義(yi)。義(yi)利(li)(li)之途,人(ren)思共致。尚義(yi)則(ze)崇,尚利(li)(li)則(ze)窮。伊惟陳宗(zong),世(shi)襲(xi)義(yi)風。替昪(bian)偽(wei)煜,猶然敦助。逮我圣宗(zong),恩惠駢屬。大宋萬年,子孫億(yi)千(qian)。德(de)澤旁流(liu),陳宗(zong)綿綿。
