寺院歷史
宋紹興十(shi)年(公元(yuan)1140年)重(zhong)置揭陽(yang)(yang)縣,是年法山(shan)禪師創(chuang)建(jian)揭陽(yang)(yang)雙(shuang)峰(feng)寺(si),成邑中叢(cong)林(lin)。原(yuan)址(zhi)在今之揭東(dong)縣桂(gui)嶺(古稱磐(pan)溪都)雙(shuang)山(shan)南麓,后(hou)山(shan)兩峰(feng)并峙(zhi),頂有(you)(you)六(liu)丈高天然巨(ju)石名曰“石母”,周(zhou)圍景(jing)(jing)致頗多(duo),昔有(you)(you)“雙(shuang)峰(feng)八景(jing)(jing)”之說。寺(si)之規模(mo)宏大(da)壯觀,與潮州開元(yuan)寺(si)、潮陽(yang)(yang)靈山(shan)寺(si)并稱潮郡(jun)三(san)大(da)名剎。每逢祝圣良期(qi),邑中官紳檀越多(duo)有(you)(you)沐浴來(lai)山(shan)禮佛者,由官道(dao)至距寺(si)三(san)里外之“鼎(ding)蓋山(shan)”驅(qu)轎下(xia)馬步行(xing)(xing)進寺(si),以(yi)表虔(qian)誠(cheng)。按民間相(xiang)傳,紹興十(shi)年重(zhong)建(jian)揭陽(yang)(yang)縣城時,地(di)(di)理家認為,“地(di)(di)龍”從(cong)蓮花山(shan)脈的(de)龍頸一直行(xing)(xing)到(dao)雙(shuang)山(shan),共99峰(feng),再往東(dong)就(jiu)是平川,而玉滘(jiao)村正是“靈氣所(suo)鐘”,所(suo)以(yi)作為第99峰(feng)的(de)石母山(shan),也就(jiu)成了風水寶地(di)(di),而建(jian)起了雙(shuang)峰(feng)寺(si)。它是古揭陽(yang)(yang)文化(hua)的(de)一種(zhong)綜合積淀物。
雙峰(feng)寺(si)(si)歷(li)代屢廢(fei)屢興。志書記:清(qing)雍正戊申(1728年(nian)(nian))六月,雙峰(feng)寺(si)(si)毀於(wu)颶風,楝梁楹桷瓦蓋(gai)一應俱(ju)盡(jin),知(zhi)縣(xian)陳樹芝主持修復(fu)。民(min)國(guo)十四年(nian)(nian),縣(xian)長陳卓凡廢(fei)之,寺(si)(si)屋充作教育費用。邑紳林(lin)存厚(hou)、林(lin)仲(zhong)良(liang)、局(ju)伯初等發起籌(chou)款贖(shu)回葺(qi)復(fu)。50年(nian)(nian)代,寺(si)(si)僧推(tui)行“農(nong)禪并舉(ju)”之策,以寺(si)(si)辨工廠(chang)。“文革”期間,佛像、文物俱(ju)毀。
改(gai)革開放後(hou),縣人(ren)民政府(fu)貫徹落實(shi)宗教政策,決(jue)定修建雙峰寺,恢復(fu)古跡,開辟旅游勝(sheng)地(di)。1986年(nian)10月25日舉行奠基禮(li),破土興工(gong)(gong)。經過(guo)整整61個月施工(gong)(gong),耗資四百萬元,建筑面(mian)積2400平方米,1991年(nian)12月10日隆重舉行修建落成(cheng)暨佛像開光(guang)典(dian)禮(li),盛況空(kong)前。
建筑特點
雙(shuang)峰寺(si)(si)(si)(si)占地(di)3200平(ping)方米(mi),其中(zhong)(zhong)建筑物2400平(ping)方米(mi)重(zhong)修后寺(si)(si)(si)(si)院呈四合院布局,中(zhong)(zhong)軸線上,依(yi)次為(wei)山(shan)門、前(qian)廳(ting)、大雄寶殿、泰(tai)佛殿,有(you)東西兩廊(lang)。寺(si)(si)(si)(si)中(zhong)(zhong)有(you)歷代文人(ren)雅(ya)士碑刻歲通(tong),寺(si)(si)(si)(si)中(zhong)(zhong)有(you)磚(zhuan)刻五(wu)塊,其中(zhong)(zhong)虎壽碑最為(wei)珍貴。泰(tai)佛殿為(wei)樓閣式,正(zheng)殿中(zhong)(zhong)金身泰(tai)式佛像一(yi)座,相傳走(zou)近,其耳鉤即不斷輕搖,被(bei)傳為(wei)異(yi)事。清代郭光(guang)任陽江儒學時由肇郡移於雙(shuang)峰寺(si)(si)(si)(si)中(zhong)(zhong),并題跋(ba)。寺(si)(si)(si)(si)中(zhong)(zhong)有(you)木(mu)棉(mian)樹,雙(shuang)峰竹。相傳孟宗(zong)哭竹,孝(xiao)感(gan)天地(di),每節黃皮竹上都留下了幾行深(shen)綠色淚(lei)痕。寺(si)(si)(si)(si)內珍藏(zang)有(you)泰(tai)國華僑(qiao)贈送之觀音菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)銅像,人(ren)們(men)前(qian)來瞻仰,常常見(jian)到(dao)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)的(de)耳環在微微擺動,被(bei)稱(cheng)為(wei)雙(shuang)峰一(yi)奇。
景點評價
昔日(ri)(ri)這(zhe)座寺院,環境幽雅,寺內聳竹(zhu)修(xiu)篁(huang),庭樹垂蔭,內中建(jian)筑(zhu),曲(qu)經通(tong)幽。每當夕陽西(xi)墜,鳥雀歸(gui)巢(chao),伴之(zhi)鐘(zhong)鼓聲(sheng)聲(sheng),木魚篤(du)篤(du),梵經陳聞之(zhi)際,別具一番情趣,故有(you)“雙峰晚(wan)鐘(zhong)”之(zhi)稱。于是“雙峰晚(wan)鐘(zhong)”稱為揭陽古八景之(zhi)一。明末大學士郭之(zhi)奇有(you)雙峰寺懷石山(shan)禪(chan)師詩(shi)為證:“三(san)百年來舊佛宮,依稀猶記石心翁。預為法界傳燈缽,故人塵環試色(se)空(kong)。四壁人煙天早暮,一灣(wan)流(liu)水日(ri)(ri)西(xi)東(dong)。鏡臺菩(pu)樹今何在,錫杖遙遙覷紫峰。”“雙峰寺”也因此享譽海(hai)內外(wai),游人如鯽,香火不斷(duan)。許(xu)多(duo)文人騷客,達(da)官(guan)貴人,更(geng)是慕名而來,在這(zhe)座古寺名剎吟詩(shi)詠和,流(liu)連(lian)忘返(fan),留下了許(xu)多(duo)珍貴的墨寶。
如今,修葺一(yi)新的(de)雙峰寺,占地面積3000多平方米,殿(dian)宇更為(wei)壯觀(guan)宏偉,天王殿(dian)、大(da)雄寶殿(dian)、藏(zang)經樓三宇并立,觀(guan)音(yin)閣、地藏(zang)閣精(jing)巧玲(ling)瓏,東西長廊(lang)、耳房及角樓,結構嚴(yan)謹(jin),整(zheng)個寺院雕梁畫棟,古(gu)樸(pu)大(da)方。匯集古(gu)建(jian)筑精(jing)粹(cui),結合現代化(hua)的(de)建(jian)筑技術,去蕪存精(jing),博(bo)采眾長,使該寺顯(xian)得古(gu)色古(gu)香,美輪美奐,寺內奇花異卉,爭(zheng)妍斗勝,別(bie)具(ju)一(yi)番情趣。
寺中(zhong)有磚刻五塊,其中(zhong)虎(hu)壽(shou)(shou)碑最(zui)為(wei)珍貴(gui)。虎(hu)字(zi)碑是(shi)清朝(chao)江南提督(du)國棟所書(shu)。壽(shou)(shou)字(zi)碑為(wei)北宋著名理學家陳摶聽書(shu),粗(cu)看(kan)為(wei)“壽(shou)(shou)”字(zi),細(xi)看(kan)則(ze)包含“林富佛壽(shou)(shou)”四字(zi),為(wei)廣東省價值較高的石碑。
揭陽雙峰院記
此(ci)(ci)記為元(yuan)(yuan)人程(cheng)準(zhun)于(yu)泰定元(yuan)(yuan)年(nian)(公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1324)所(suo)(suo)(suo)記,收錄(lu)(lu)于(yu)明(ming)(ming)《永(yong)樂大典》卷五三四(si)四(si),有序云:“諸寺(si)院記文(wen)(wen),不(bu)關世教者不(bu)錄(lu)(lu)。此(ci)(ci)篇獨能(neng)不(bu)膠異說(shuo)(shuo),以悲(bei)喜衍義(yi),行文(wen)(wen)有法,感人情思。與他寺(si)院記遠(yuan)甚,故時(shi)錄(lu)(lu)之(zhi)。”此(ci)(ci)乃雙峰寺(si)之(zhi)重要史(shi)料。文(wen)(wen)中明(ming)(ming)確(que)記載縣尹彭(peng)振于(yu)公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1310年(nian)請石山禪(chan)師“初構殿于(yu)瓦礫間”重建雙峰寺(si)之(zhi)史(shi)實,我(wo)們認為應(ying)是在(zai)原址重建。與揭陽一(yi)些書報所(suo)(suo)(suo)說(shuo)(shuo)“明(ming)(ming)洪武(wu)年(nian)間,僧人石山將(jiang)雙峰寺(si)遷至榕城馬山巷”有明(ming)(ming)顯出入,本記文(wen)(wen)所(suo)(suo)(suo)據(ju)為程(cheng)準(zhun)于(yu)公(gong)元(yuan)(yuan)1324年(nian)所(suo)(suo)(suo)記,元(yuan)(yuan)人記元(yuan)(yuan)事,應(ying)可(ke)信也。
世(shi)人以成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)觀物,見其(qi)成(cheng)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)喜,見其(qi)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)悲。成(cheng)者(zhe)自成(cheng),壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)者(zhe)自壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai);于(yu)我何(he)有(you),而作是(shi)念(nian)(nian)?善哉善哉!此(ci)天(tian)(tian)地(di)圣賢之(zhi)(zhi)心,愚(yu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肖之(zhi)(zhi)所同,儒者(zhe)之(zhi)(zhi)謂善端,佛者(zhe)之(zhi)(zhi)謂無量心也。一切萬物,皆有(you)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai);是(shi)悲喜心,無有(you)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)。由其(qi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai),壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng)。故(gu)自一念(nian)(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)喜,以圖其(qi)成(cheng),天(tian)(tian)工可(ke)(ke)(ke)代,七(qi)政可(ke)(ke)(ke)齊,六府(fu)可(ke)(ke)(ke)修也:自一念(nian)(nian)之(zhi)(zhi)悲,以極(ji)其(qi)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai),洚水可(ke)(ke)(ke)抑,龍蛇可(ke)(ke)(ke)驅,河流可(ke)(ke)(ke)塞也。鵲巢(chao)石窟,珍樓(lou)寶(bao)(bao)屋(wu),廣(guang)狹不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)同,華(hua)陋殊絕,皆不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)過人天(tian)(tian)小(xiao)果,曾何(he)足以置欣戚于(yu)其(qi)間!然十室之(zhi)(zhi)邑,三家之(zhi)(zhi)市,蘧廬一宿(su),終身眷眷不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)忘。他(ta)日(ri)過之(zhi)(zhi),頹垣(yuan)斷礎,未有(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)徘徊故(gu)墟,為之(zhi)(zhi)感愴者(zhe);他(ta)日(ri)又(you)過之(zhi)(zhi),疏籬環堵,如舊觀重來(lai),又(you)未有(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)欣然慰(wei)滿,若己(ji)與有(you)力焉(yan)。此(ci)豈復(fu)有(you)窮奢極(ji)侈之(zhi)(zhi)工,動心悅(yue)目(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)景,可(ke)(ke)(ke)以牽(qian)縈懷(huai)抱者(zhe)?終不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai),壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)無不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)成(cheng),彼(bi)之(zhi)(zhi)心猶吾之(zhi)(zhi)心也,吾不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知此(ci)日(ri)是(shi)心何(he)從(cong)而來(lai)哉?天(tian)(tian)高地(di)下(xia),在物無終壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)之(zhi)(zhi)理;往過來(lai)續(xu),在人有(you)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)之(zhi)(zhi)心。彼(bi)積蘇累塊,以成(cheng)壞(huai)(huai)(huai)(huai)較難易;金地(di)寶(bao)(bao)林(lin),以興創為殊勝。雖其(qi)徒(tu)稍知道者(zhe),亦必戚然顰(pin)、閔然嘯(xiao)矣!
皇元仁(ren)洽(qia)萬(wan)方(fang),垂情慈教,天馬飲海,龍象如如。而(er)揭陽雙峰獨(du)罹劫灰,自丙子(zi)至戊申(shen)三(san)十三(san)載。歸德彭君(jun)(jun)振來尹(yin)茲邑,報(bao)恩無(wu)地,將經(jing)始(shi)起廢。民父老(lao)合辭薦請,君(jun)(jun)乃捐俸流貤,起釋子(zi)石(shi)山必瓊(qiong)董其(qi)役。瓊(qiong)亦(yi)罄囊畢(bi)力(li),初構殿于瓦礫間,始(shi)庚戌夏,迄辛亥(hai)冬(dong)。邑人劉君(jun)(jun)用賓、林君(jun)(jun)叔翊好善(shan)(shan)隨喜,法筵開,經(jing)輪轉,山門(men)品列(lie),廊楹魚貫,僧寮師室,香積寶庋,種種完美。又三(san)年(nian),梅倅蒙君(jun)(jun)果沿檄適至,暨歸裒鏹五十萬(wan)圓滿之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。且尹(yin)有人民社(she)稷,補弊塞責之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)暇,能以余力(li)及此,蒙君(jun)(jun)非居仕(shi)是邦而(er)施與無(wu)吝容。若劉與林,鄉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)善(shan)(shan)士,視瓊(qiong)雖為善(shan)(shan)不(bu)同,要皆非有所利而(er)為之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)者(zhe)。不(bu)遠數千(qian)里,念記于予。公(gong)等(deng)得(de)無(wu)悲(bei)其(qi)壞而(er)喜其(qi)成(cheng)乎(hu)?是心也(ye)(ye)何(he)從而(er)來哉?無(wu)往不(bu)復(fu)者(zhe)天之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道,感今懷古者(zhe)人之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情,余所謂天地圣(sheng)賢愚(yu)不(bu)肖之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所同。蓋有不(bu)求而(er)獲,無(wu)為而(er)為者(zhe)。秉彝好德,固非夷法之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)所能外也(ye)(ye)。韓山蒼蒼,韓木章章;大顛堂堂,廬存人忘!數書珍重,吾意公(gong)亦(yi)喜其(qi)聰明(ming)識道理而(er)重其(qi)憂世之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)悲(bei)也(ye)(ye)夫(fu)!斯文耿光(guang),千(qian)古一日(ri)。余方(fang)求公(gong)書而(er)玩索之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),又安(an)得(de)不(bu)因君(jun)(jun)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)喜而(er)為之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)書也(ye)(ye)!尹(yin)字文舉,今為惠州(zhou)路推官。蒙字仲剛,今為潮幕長。謙齋劉君(jun)(jun),時(shi)主簿程鄉。友梅、石(shi)山,林與瓊(qiong)自號也(ye)(ye)。財施工力(li)姓氏(shi)列(lie)著碑陰。
泰(tai)定初元甲子三月朔,承直(zhi)郎南(nan)雄路總管府推官程準記(ji)。
