歷史沿革
最早(zao)的(de)城隍廟見于三(san)國吳赤(chi)烏二(er)年(239)建的(de)蕪湖城隍廟。歷史上有(you)唐(tang)人張說、
李德裕、李陽冰、杜(du)牧等祭祀(si)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神的(de)文(wen)(wen)獻記(ji)載。宋(song)代以(yi)后,城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)開(kai)始人格化、多以(yi)去世(shi)后的(de)英雄或名臣奉為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)神,如蘇(su)州祀(si)戰國時春申君黃(huang)歇,上海祀(si)秦(qin)裕伯(bo),北京祀(si)文(wen)(wen)天祥、楊椒山,杭州祀(si)周新,會稽祀(si)龐王(wang)(wang)(wang),南寧(ning)、桂林祀(si)蘇(su)緘等。后唐末帝清泰(tai)元年(934)封城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)王(wang)(wang)(wang)爵。明太祖(zu)洪武元年(1368)則下旨(zhi)封開(kai)封、臨濠、束和(he)、平滁四城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)的(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)王(wang)(wang)(wang),職位(wei)正一(yi)品,與(yu)人間(jian)的(de)太師、太傅、太保(bao)“三(san)(san)公(gong)”和(he)左、右丞相(xiang)平級(ji),又(you)封各府、州、縣城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)公(gong)、侯(hou)、伯(bo),即府城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)監(jian)察司氏(shi)(shi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)威(wei)靈公(gong),職位(wei)正二(er)品;州城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)監(jian)察司氏(shi)(shi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)顯佑(you)侯(hou),職位(wei)正三(san)(san)品;縣城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)監(jian)察司氏(shi)(shi)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)顯佑(you)伯(bo),職位(wei)正四品,并且重建(jian)各地(di)(di)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)廟,規模(mo)高廣(guang)與(yu)當地(di)(di)官署衙門完全(quan)一(yi)樣(yang),還按級(ji)別配制冕(mian)旒(liu)哀服。明太祖(zu)洪武三(san)(san)年(1370)正祀(si)典,詔(zhao)去封號,只稱“某府或某縣城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)之神,又(you)令(ling)各地(di)(di)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)廟不得雜祀(si)其他之神。據說明太祖(zu)朱元璋(zhang)出生在(zai)土地(di)(di)廟里,所以(yi)他對土地(di)(di)廟以(yi)及土地(di)(di)的(de)“上司”城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)極為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)崇敬。明孝(xiao)宗年間(jian)(1488—1506),莆田抗元英雄陳文(wen)(wen)龍(1232—1277)被(bei)封為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)福州城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)爺,其從(cong)叔抗元英雄陳瓚(zan)(1232—1277)被(bei)封為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)興化府城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)(huang)爺。
在原(yuan)莆(pu)田(tian)縣內,有(you)創建于(yu)明(ming)洪武(wu)二年(1369),位于(yu)城(cheng)內長壽街廟(miao)前巷的興化(hua)府城(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)廟(miao),由照(zhao)墻、外埕、大(da)門(men)、甬道(dao)、儀門(men)、中(zhong)門(men)、正殿、后殿及兩廂(xiang)護厝等組成,占地面積24畝(mu)(一(yi)說18畝(mu)),與興化(hua)府衙,莆(pu)田(tian)縣衙一(yi)樣大(da),為(wei)(wei)莆(pu)田(tian)五大(da)宮廟(miao)之(zhi)一(yi);主祀城(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)大(da)神陳瓚,俗(su)稱城(cheng)隍(huang)(huang)爺(ye)。該(gai)廟(miao)現為(wei)(wei)福(fu)建省(sheng)級重點文物保護單位。
歷史文化
這(zhe)是一(yi)(yi)座(zuo)典(dian)型的(de)漢式寺(si)廟(miao),格局簡煉(lian)。一(yi)(yi)如隨意(yi)散落在江南(nan)某(mou)個小(xiao)鎮的(de)庵(an)院廟(miao)堂(tang),但是稍加(jia)留(liu)意(yi)便可看(kan)出這(zhe)座(zuo)寺(si)廟(miao)的(de)氣(qi)度與眾(zhong)不同。首先廟(miao)前(qian)高懸的(de)道幡(fan)說(shuo)明(ming)這(zhe)是一(yi)(yi)座(zuo)道教(jiao)(jiao)寺(si)廟(miao),這(zhe)在熱(re)河(he)街上可謂鳳毛麟角。遍布避暑山莊周圍的(de)多為藏傳(chuan)佛教(jiao)(jiao)寺(si)廟(miao),而修建這(zhe)樣一(yi)(yi)座(zuo)道教(jiao)(jiao)寺(si)廟(miao)則是出于(yu)對(dui)漢族群眾(zhong)宗(zong)教(jiao)(jiao)信(xin)仰的(de)尊重,同時由乾隆欽定(ding)“熱(re)河(he)都城隍廟(miao)”似可說(shuo)明(ming)古熱(re)河(he)在當時社會的(de)政(zheng)治(zhi)地位。

城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)隍,起源(yuan)于古代的(de)(de)(de)(de)水(隍)庸(城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng))的(de)(de)(de)(de)祭(ji)祀,為《周(zhou)宮》八神(shen)之(zhi)一(yi)。“城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)”原指(zhi)挖土筑的(de)(de)(de)(de)高墻(qiang),“隍”原指(zhi)沒有水的(de)(de)(de)(de)護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)壕(hao)(hao)。古人造(zao)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)是為了(le)保護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)內百姓的(de)(de)(de)(de)安(an)全,所以(yi)修了(le)高大的(de)(de)(de)(de)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)墻(qiang)、城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)樓、城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)門以(yi)及壕(hao)(hao)城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、護城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)河。他(ta)們(men)認為與(yu)人們(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)生活、生產安(an)全密(mi)切相(xiang)關的(de)(de)(de)(de)事物,都有神(shen)在(zai),于是城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)和(he)隍被神(shen)化為城(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)市的(de)(de)(de)(de)保護神(shen)。道(dao)教把它納(na)入自己的(de)(de)(de)(de)神(shen)系,稱(cheng)它是剪除(chu)兇惡(e)、保國(guo)護邦之(zhi)神(shen),并管(guan)領(ling)陰間的(de)(de)(de)(de)亡魂(hun)。

特色
城隍廟(miao)(miao)現為承(cheng)德市為數不多的(de)一家(jia)道(dao)教寺廟(miao)(miao),風格有別于外八廟(miao)(miao),很(hen)值得一看。這里每日上午9:00-10:00有道(dao)教法(fa)事(shi)活動(dong),且每逢重大道(dao)教節日,必舉行道(dao)教法(fa)會(hui)慶賀。
旅游交通
城隍(huang)廟位于西(xi)大街路(lu)北,出避暑山莊(zhuang)沿麗正門大街西(xi)行至火神廟處,右(you)轉(zhuan)上西(xi)大街再走(zou)約(yue)1公(gong)里。也可乘5路(lu)、7路(lu)公(gong)交車(che)(che)到中(zhong)醫院(yuan)下車(che)(che)即到,乘小公(gong)共汽車(che)(che)或打(da)車(che)(che)更(geng)為方便。
