【原文】其(qi)智宏深,譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)(ru)巨(ju)海;菩提高廣,喻若須彌;自身(shen)威光(guang),超于日月;其(qi)心潔(jie)白,猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)雪(xue)山;忍辱如(ru)(ru)(ru)地,一切平等(deng);清凈(jing)(jing)如(ru)(ru)(ru)水,洗諸塵垢;熾(chi)盛(sheng)如(ru)(ru)(ru)火,燒(shao)煩惱薪;不(bu)著(zhu)如(ru)(ru)(ru)風,無(wu)(wu)諸障礙。法(fa)音雷震,覺(jue)未覺(jue)故(gu);雨甘露法(fa),潤眾(zhong)生(sheng)故(gu);曠若虛空,大慈等(deng)故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)凈(jing)(jing)蓮(lian)華,離染污故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)尼(ni)拘(ju)樹,覆蔭大故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)金(jin)剛杵,破邪執故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵圍(wei)山,眾(zhong)魔(mo)外道(dao)不(bu)能動故(gu)。其(qi)心正(zheng)直,善(shan)巧決定;論(lun)法(fa)無(wu)(wu)厭,求法(fa)不(bu)倦(juan);戒若琉(liu)璃,內外明(ming)(ming)潔(jie);其(qi)所言說,令眾(zhong)悅服。擊法(fa)鼓,建法(fa)幢,曜慧日,破癡暗。淳(chun)凈(jing)(jing)溫和(he),寂定明(ming)(ming)察。為(wei)大導(dao)師,調伏自他。引導(dao)群生(sheng),舍諸愛著(zhu)。永離三(san)垢,游戲神通。因緣愿(yuan)力(li),出生(sheng)善(shan)根。摧(cui)伏一切魔(mo)軍(jun),尊重(zhong)奉事諸佛。為(wei)世明(ming)(ming)燈,最勝福田,殊(shu)勝吉(ji)祥,堪受(shou)供養。赫奕歡喜,雄猛無(wu)(wu)畏。身(shen)色相好,功德辯才(cai),具(ju)足莊嚴(yan),無(wu)(wu)與等(deng)者。常為(wei)諸佛所共(gong)稱贊。究(jiu)竟菩薩(sa)諸波羅蜜,而(er)常安住(zhu)不(bu)生(sheng)不(bu)滅(mie)諸三(san)摩地。行遍道(dao)場(chang),遠二乘境。阿(a)難,我今略(lve)說彼(bi)極樂界,所生(sheng)菩薩(sa),真實(shi)功德,悉皆如(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)。若廣說者,百千(qian)萬劫不(bu)能窮盡。
【譯文】極樂世界菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智慧(hui)宏大(da)深廣(guang),猶(you)(you)如(ru)大(da)海;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)提覺(jue)悟(wu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)高(gao)廣(guang)宏大(da),有如(ru)妙(miao)高(gao)山;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)自身(shen)顯發(fa)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)威嚴之(zhi)光(guang),超(chao)過了太陽(yang)和(he)月亮;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)心(xin)境的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)潔凈(jing)無垢,又(you)像那潔白的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)雪山;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)忍受(shou)侮辱(ru)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)精(jing)神(shen),與那默(mo)默(mo)承負一(yi)(yi)切(qie)重荷的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)大(da)地一(yi)(yi)樣:大(da)地載物(wu)不分(fen)輕重,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)度人(ren)也(ye)不分(fen)親疏;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)清(qing)凈(jing)境界,可(ke)與除塵(chen)洗(xi)垢的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)清(qing)水相比:清(qing)水溪(xi)流可(ke)洗(xi)世塵(chen),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)清(qing)凈(jing)可(ke)洗(xi)心(xin)塵(chen);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智慧(hui)熾盛(sheng),如(ru)同(tong)火(huo)焰(yan):智慧(hui)之(zhi)火(huo)燒(shao)盡煩惱之(zhi)薪柴;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)不執(zhi)著的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)品性如(ru)同(tong)大(da)風:風拂世界,無所(suo)不到(dao),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)行遍世界,自由自在而(er)無所(suo)障(zhang)礙;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)宣講傳布的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)佛法大(da)音,加同(tong)雷聲遠達,震醒了世間癡迷而(er)未覺(jue)悟(wu)之(zhi)人(ren);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)教法猶(you)(you)如(ru)甘露(lu):甘露(lu)滋(zi)潤大(da)地萬物(wu),佛法滋(zi)潤眾(zhong)生(sheng)心(xin)靈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)平等慈悲猶(you)(you)如(ru)虛(xu)空(kong):虛(xu)空(kong)廣(guang)大(da)無邊無際,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)慈悲也(ye)無邊無際蔭庇(bi)(bi)眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)品格猶(you)(you)如(ru)白蓮:蓮花(hua)不離(li)污泥(ni)(ni)但又(you)出污泥(ni)(ni)而(er)不染,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)不舍眾(zhong)生(sheng),但身(shen)處(chu)濁世穢(hui)土而(er)仍然清(qing)凈(jing);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷猶(you)(you)如(ru)尼(ni)枸(gou)樹(shu):尼(ni)枸(gou)樹(shu)寬(kuan)闊而(er)遮陽(yang)蔽日,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)胸懷也(ye)能蔭庇(bi)(bi)眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)銳(rui)利猶(you)(you)如(ru)金剛杵:金剛杵能摧毀(hui)一(yi)(yi)切(qie)鎧甲,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)般若妙(miao)智也(ye)能退;切(qie)煩惱魔軍(jun);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)堅強猶(you)(you)如(ru)鐵圍(wei)(wei)山:鐵圍(wei)(wei)山堅固(gu)不為一(yi)(yi)切(qie)所(suo)摧,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)堅強,也(ye)不為眾(zhong)魔外道所(suo)動(dong)搖(yao)。
極樂世界菩(pu)薩之心(xin),方廣平正;順遂機宜(yi),巧(qiao)行權便,講論佛經從不(bu)生厭,追求佛法(fa)不(bu)知(zhi)疲倦;持戒凈(jing)潔,譬如(ru)(ru)琉(liu)璃清徹;心(xin)意行動(dong),光明(ming)磊落,明(ming)鑒表里;菩(pu)薩們所說之法(fa),使大(da)家心(xin)悅(yue)誠服;法(fa)音(yin)震(zhen)響,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)擊鼓;威德摧邪,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)建法(fa)之幢;智(zhi)慧照迷,猶(you)如(ru)(ru)燦爛太陽(yang)。破(po)除無(wu)明(ming)造成的(de)癡(chi)惑(huo),建成無(wu)貪無(wu)求的(de)淳靜心(xin)境;其禪定智(zhi)慧溫和,纖毫明(ming)察,能(neng)入實際之理體。作為(wei)大(da)導(dao)師,調伏抑(yi)制自己和他人(ren)的(de)不(bu)安之心(xin)。引導(dao)群生,舍離拋(pao)棄(qi)諸多愛欲物著,永遠離開(kai)貪、瞋、癡(chi)三種污垢(gou),運(yun)任游戲于神通(tong)之中。
極樂(le)世(shi)(shi)界的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)菩薩(sa)(sa)們(men)因為過去所修(xiu)之善(shan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)因緣力,積累(lei)功德生出牢不可破(po)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)堅固(gu)善(shan)心(xin),摧毀(hui)和(he)降(jiang)伏(fu)一切惡魔(mo)大軍。尊(zun)重(zhong)待(dai)奉諸(zhu)佛;成(cheng)為照(zhao)耀世(shi)(shi)界的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)明燈;得世(shi)(shi)間眾(zhong)生供(gong)養,成(cheng)為世(shi)(shi)間眾(zhong)生最好的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)福田(tian)。菩薩(sa)(sa)們(men)具(ju)有(you)文(wen)殊(shu)大士那樣的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)智德,堪(kan)受一切有(you)情供(gong)養。他們(men)威光(guang)顯赫,神采奕奕,面貌(mao)(mao)和(he)悅,內(nei)心(xin)歡喜,雄(xiong)(xiong)健(jian)勇猛(meng),無(wu)畏無(wu)懼,其音容(rong)相貌(mao)(mao)非(fei)同(tong)一般,又有(you)無(wu)量的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)功德和(he)無(wu)礙的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)雄(xiong)(xiong)辯才能莊嚴其身(shen),如此種種,實在找不到能與之媲(pi)美(mei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)了。
“西方極樂世(shi)界的菩(pu)薩(sa)們時(shi)時(shi)得(de)到諸佛(fo)的共同(tong)稱贊,他們探究完成諸菩(pu)薩(sa)該修(xiu)(xiu)的覺(jue)悟,而永遠處于不(bu)生不(bu)滅的涅(nie)盤正定的狀態(tai),在(zai)一(yi)切道(dao)場中遍修(xiu)(xiu)所(suo)有功行,遠遠超離(li)聲聞、緣覺(jue)二(er)乘的境界。阿難!我現在(zai)只(zhi)是略略提(ti)一(yi)下,那極樂世(shi)界中菩(pu)薩(sa)們的真實功德,大體(ti)上如我以上所(suo)說(shuo),但若(ruo)要廣泛和詳細地介紹,即使說(shuo)上百千萬個時(shi)劫也難以說(shuo)完呢!”
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)告彌勒(le)菩薩(sa)、諸天人等:無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)國(guo),聲聞菩薩(sa),功德智慧(hui),不(bu)(bu)可稱說。又其國(guo)土微妙安樂,清凈(jing)若(ruo)此。何(he)不(bu)(bu)力(li)為善,念(nian)道(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)。出(chu)入供養,觀經行道(dao)。喜樂久習,才猛智慧(hui)。心(xin)不(bu)(bu)中回,意無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)懈時。外(wai)若(ruo)遲緩,內獨駛急。容容虛空(kong),適得其中。中表相應(ying),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)嚴整。檢斂端直,身(shen)心(xin)潔凈(jing)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)愛貪,志(zhi)愿安定。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)增缺(que)減,求(qiu)道(dao)和正(zheng)。不(bu)(bu)誤(wu)傾(qing)邪(xie),隨經約令。不(bu)(bu)敢蹉(cuo)跌,若(ruo)于(yu)繩墨。咸為道(dao)慕,曠無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)他念(nian)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)憂(you)思,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)為。虛空(kong)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)立,淡安無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)欲。作得善愿,盡心(xin)求(qiu)索。含哀慈愍,禮義都合。苞羅(luo)表里,過度(du)解脫。自(zi)(zi)然(ran)保守,真真潔白。志(zhi)愿無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)上,凈(jing)定安樂。一旦(dan)開(kai)達明徹,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)中自(zi)(zi)然(ran)相,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)有(you)根本,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)光色參(can)回,轉變最勝。郁單成(cheng)(cheng)七寶,橫攬成(cheng)(cheng)萬(wan)物。光精(jing)(jing)明俱(ju)出(chu),善好(hao)殊(shu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)比(bi)。著于(yu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)上下,洞達無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)邊(bian)際。宜(yi)各勤(qin)精(jing)(jing)進(jin),努力(li)自(zi)(zi)求(qiu)之(zhi)(zhi)。必(bi)得超絕(jue)去,往生(sheng)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量清凈(jing)阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)。橫截(jie)于(yu)五(wu)趣,惡道(dao)自(zi)(zi)閉塞(sai)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)極(ji)之(zhi)(zhi)勝道(dao),易往而無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)人。其國(guo)不(bu)(bu)逆違(wei),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)所牽隨。捐志(zhi)若(ruo)虛空(kong),勤(qin)行求(qiu)道(dao)德。可得極(ji)長生(sheng),壽(shou)樂無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)極(ji)。何(he)為著世事(shi),譊(nao)譊(nao)憂(you)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)常。
【譯文】釋(shi)加牟(mou)尼佛又轉(zhuan)而(er)對彌勒菩薩(sa)和諸在座的天(tian)人(ren)等說道:“無(wu)量壽佛國中的聲聞、菩薩(sa)功(gong)德智慧(hui)無(wu)量,是沒有(you)辦法表述得清(qing)的。還有(you),其(qi)國土如此微妙,安樂和清(qing)凈,你(ni)們為什么不勉力行善(shan)(shan),又以(yi)所積(ji)累的善(shan)(shan)功(gong)德回(hui)向凈土,自然生發往生凈土之念,由念引(yin)導而(er)往生極(ji)樂世界呢?
“極樂世(shi)界(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)菩薩(sa)、聲聞(wen)(wen)等會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),出入(ru)(ru)于十(shi)方世(shi)界(jie)供養諸佛,閱讀藏經,修行佛事(shi),皆樂于長久如(ru)此。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)才能(neng)超(chao)世(shi),智慧圓融,心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)沒有退轉(zhuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)念頭(tou),意(yi)志(zhi)沒有片刻(ke)懈怠放逸;外表看去安(an)閑(xian)沉(chen)穩,內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)卻急速地精進不已(yi)。心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)同(tong)(tong)于虛空(kong),沒有一(yi)物而又能(neng)容下萬物,沒有邊(bian)際而又能(neng)建立(li)凈土,非空(kong)非有,適(shi)得(de)不落(luo)兩邊(bian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)道。聲聞(wen)(wen)、菩薩(sa)們(men)(men)(men)適(shi)得(de)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)道之(zhi)(zhi)內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),顯(xian)示在表情(qing)上(shang),表里相映(ying)煥然(ran)成輝,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)而又嚴(yan)整;檢束身體的(de)(de)(de)(de)姿態表情(qing),收斂(lian)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)思維意(yi)念;外表端莊,內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)正直,身心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)潔凈,沒有愛(ai)欲貪染(ran);他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)志(zhi)向誓(shi)愿,堅定(ding)不移而無(wu)(wu)(wu)些(xie)微(wei)缺減;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)所追求(qiu)(qiu)的(de)(de)(de)(de)大道,平和中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)正,永不會(hui)誤入(ru)(ru)狹路以至邪道;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)隨順經中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)言(yan)和戒律,自(zi)(zi)(zi)覺接受(shou)約束規定(ding),不敢放逸而失足逾界(jie),有如(ru)木工操作遵循墨(mo)線,循規蹈矩;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)所企慕,皆是正真(zhen)至道,沒有其他(ta)(ta)妄念雜(za)念拂亂(luan),沒有什么憂慮之(zhi)(zhi)思干擾;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)安(an)住于無(wu)(wu)(wu)為法中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)志(zhi)有如(ru)虛空(kong)無(wu)(wu)(wu)有一(yi)物,淡泊安(an)寧不染(ran)物欲;以此結成大愿,盡心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)盡力地前去求(qiu)(qiu)索。再者,這些(xie)極樂世(shi)界(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)懷慈悲(bei)哀憫,契合世(shi)間道德,融洽(qia)現象(xiang)本質,自(zi)(zi)(zi)度(du)度(du)他(ta)(ta),均得(de)解脫生(sheng)死。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)任(ren)運自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran),保守本來善性潔白(bai)無(wu)(wu)(wu)染(ran),志(zhi)向愿心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)甚為高尚,住于寂定(ding)而安(an)然(ran)自(zi)(zi)(zi)適(shi),日積(ji)月累,便能(neng)在一(yi)旦之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)毫不勉強地契合自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)實相,把握根本的(de)(de)(de)(de)道理。這些(xie)聲聞(wen)(wen)、菩薩(sa)之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)如(ru)同(tong)(tong)神(shen)奇珍寶,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)光(guang)和自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)色相互滲入(ru)(ru)、回轉(zhuan)變化,超(chao)過十(shi)方的(de)(de)(de)(de)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)寶。北方大洲自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)生(sheng)出七寶,橫空(kong)中(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)涌現出萬物,光(guang)明(ming)、精妙、明(ming)凈齊顯(xian)并現,諸善眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)好,無(wu)(wu)(wu)與(yu)倫(lun)比(bi),皆由極樂世(shi)界(jie)會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)凈心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng)出。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)智慧明(ming)證(zheng)理體無(wu)(wu)(wu)有高下,洞達事(shi)相沒有邊(bian)際。”
釋(shi)迦牟尼佛介紹(shao)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)人眾(zhong)的(de)功德(de)智(zhi)慧(hui),又為(wei)(wei)喚醒法會大眾(zhong)說:“你們(men)應各(ge)自(zi)精進勤(qin)修,努力自(zi)求真如(ru)本(ben)心,必得(de)超脫輪回,斷除生(sheng)(sheng)死,往生(sheng)(sheng)到無量清凈(jing)的(de)阿彌陀佛凈(jing)土(tu)。到那時,頓(dun)舍娑(suo)婆(po)(po)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)五道輪回,諸多惡(e)道之門自(zi)然關閉;這凈(jing)土(tu)法門是最勝之道,雖然易得(de)往生(sheng)(sheng),可(ke)穢土(tu)修行的(de)人卻很少(shao)。十(shi)方無窮極(ji)的(de)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)得(de)益于(yu)佛國毫無逆違(wei)往生(sheng)(sheng)的(de)性(xing)質(zhi)(另一解釋(shi):西方凈(jing)土(tu)敞開大門,攝受接納十(shi)方一切眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),然而(er),娑(suo)婆(po)(po)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)久在煩惱(nao)纏(chan)縛(fu)之中,貪戀世(shi)(shi)樂(le),不(bu)生(sheng)(sheng)厭(yan)離,陷于(yu)自(zi)身(shen)結構性(xing)的(de)困境,焉得(de)往生(sheng)(sheng)?)。大家捐除煩惱(nao),其志應如(ru)虛空,凈(jing)無垢染,勤(qin)奮修行,進道增德(de),便(bian)可(ke)以在凈(jing)土(tu)獲得(de)長(chang)生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)老(lao),和極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)人眾(zhong)一樣(yang)長(chang)壽安樂(le),生(sheng)(sheng)命無有極(ji)限。既(ji)如(ru)此,為(wei)(wei)什么(me)還要貪著世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)俗(su)事俗(su)利,沒完沒了地憂(you)慮,為(wei)(wei)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)無常所折(zhe)磨呢?”
【原文】世人共爭不急之務,于此劇惡極(ji)苦之中,勤身營務,以自給濟(ji)。尊卑(bei)、貧(pin)富、少(shao)(shao)長、男女,累(lei)念積慮,為心走使。無田憂田,無宅(zhai)憂宅(zhai),眷屬財物,有無同憂。有一(yi)(yi)少(shao)(shao)一(yi)(yi),思欲齊等,適小具有,又憂非(fei)常。水火盜賊(zei),怨(yuan)家債(zhai)主,焚漂劫奪(duo),消散磨(mo)滅。心慳意固,無能縱舍。
命終棄捐,莫誰(shui)隨者。貧富同然(ran),憂苦萬端。
世(shi)間人民,父子兄弟夫婦親屬,當相(xiang)敬愛,無(wu)相(xiang)憎(zeng)嫉。有無(wu)相(xiang)通,無(wu)得(de)貪惜。言色常和,莫相(xiang)違戾。或時心(xin)諍,有所恚怒。后(hou)世(shi)轉劇,至成大怨。世(shi)間之事,更相(xiang)患害,雖不(bu)臨時,應急想破(po)。
人在愛欲(yu)之中,獨(du)生獨(du)死,獨(du)去(qu)獨(du)來,苦樂自當,無有代者(zhe)。善惡變化,追逐所生,道路不(bu)同,會見無期。何不(bu)于強健(jian)時,努力修(xiu)善,欲(yu)何待(dai)乎?
世人善惡自(zi)不能(neng)見,吉兇禍福,競各作之。身愚(yu)神暗,轉受余教。顛倒相續,無常根(gen)本(ben)。蒙冥(ming)抵(di)突,不信經法。心無遠慮,各欲快(kuai)意。迷(mi)于(yu)瞋(chen)恚(hui),貪于(yu)財色(se)。終不休止,哀哉可傷!先人不善,不識道德(de),無有(you)語者,殊無怪也。
死(si)生之趣,善惡之道,都不之信,謂無有(you)是(shi)。更相(xiang)瞻視,且自見(jian)之。或(huo)父(fu)哭(ku)子,或(huo)子哭(ku)父(fu),兄(xiong)弟(di)夫婦,更相(xiang)哭(ku)泣。一死(si)一生,迭相(xiang)顧戀。憂愛結縛,無有(you)解時。思(si)想恩(en)好,不離情欲。不能(neng)深思(si)熟計,專精行道。年壽旋盡,無可奈何(he)。
惑道者眾,悟道者少(shao)。各懷殺毒,惡(e)氣冥(ming)冥(ming)。為妄(wang)興事,違逆天地。恣(zi)意罪極(ji),頓奪其壽。下入惡(e)道,無(wu)有出期(qi)。
若曹當(dang)(dang)熟思計(ji),遠離眾惡。擇(ze)其善者,勤而(er)行之(zhi)。愛欲(yu)榮華,不可常保,皆當(dang)(dang)別(bie)離,無可樂者。當(dang)(dang)勤精進(jin),生安樂國。智慧(hui)明達,功德(de)殊勝。勿得隨(sui)心所欲(yu),虧負經戒(jie),在人后也。
【譯文】“世間的人們都(dou)在(zai)計(ji)(ji)較那瑣細(xi)無益的世利(li)俗務,在(zai)此(ci)(ci)苦痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)堪的五惡世間,辛勤勞(lao)作,經營生(sheng)計(ji)(ji),以求自(zi)給(gei),于苦中(zhong)求快樂;世間蕓蕓眾生(sheng)中(zhong),無論大人物(wu)或小人物(wu),富人或窮人,少年或老人,男人或女人,種種一(yi)切之(zhi)人,都(dou)因為貪欲之(zhi)念長期(qi)累(lei)積(ji),處心積(ji)慮只求一(yi)快,其(qi)實(shi)貪欲之(zhi)心不(bu)(bu)過導致奔波勞(lao)碌。沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)田地(di)(di)的想要得田地(di)(di),沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)房屋(wu)的想要得房屋(wu),沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)家眷、親(qin)屬、妻室兒(er)女以及沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)財物(wu)、產(chan)業、珍(zhen)寶、器(qi)物(wu)的,也都(dou)處心積(ji)慮,盤(pan)算鉆營,必欲據有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)而后(hou)心安(an)。沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的人有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)所(suo)憂苦,已有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的人也不(bu)(bu)得安(an)逸。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)一(yi)些(xie)財物(wu)反而欲海難(nan)填,希望再多(duo)得一(yi)星(xing)半點。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)了(le)一(yi)件(jian)的覺得一(yi)件(jian)太少,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)了(le)兩件(jian)的又(you)覺得兩件(jian)還少,欲望和獲取,總是相逐相長,沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)止境。才(cai)達到小有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)資產(chan),旋即擔心遭遇損(sun)失;害(hai)(hai)怕火災焚燒(shao),害(hai)(hai)怕水災流漂,害(hai)(hai)怕盜賊偷竊,害(hai)(hai)怕土匪劫奪,害(hai)(hai)怕冤家仇殺,害(hai)(hai)怕債主(zhu)催逼(bi)。憂懼之(zhi)中(zhong),清凈本(ben)心在(zai)此(ci)(ci)消散磨滅。慳吝(lin)之(zhi)心,反倒越(yue)(yue)來越(yue)(yue)頑固,煩惱纏縛,在(zai)泥坑中(zhong)越(yue)(yue)陷(xian)越(yue)(yue)深(shen)。
“世(shi)間一(yi)(yi)切人命終(zhong)之時,不管(guan)你有多(duo)少眷屬,積(ji)存了多(duo)少財寶,全部要舍離拋棄(qi)。你所鐘愛的物也(ye)罷,人也(ye)罷,都(dou)不會隨你去那另一(yi)(yi)世(shi)間;即或去到(dao)另一(yi)(yi)世(shi)間也(ye)不能同你在一(yi)(yi)起。富(fu)人和窮人,在此陰間地下(xia)也(ye)都(dou)平等無差,個中(zhong)憂苦,萬端無盡。
“世間的人民——父子、兄弟、夫婦、親屬,應(ying)(ying)當相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)互(hu)尊敬友愛(ai),不要(yao)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)互(hu)憎恨與嫉(ji)妒(du);應(ying)(ying)當互(hu)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)幫助救(jiu)護,有(you)什么財物要(yao)互(hu)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)周濟,不要(yao)貪(tan)圖吝(lin)惜;應(ying)(ying)當說話和氣(qi),和顏悅(yue)色,互(hu)尊互(hu)敬,不要(yao)背逆斗(dou)狠;一時生起爭(zheng)訟(song)之心(xin),心(xin)里不免嗔恚(hui)忿怒,惡(e)(e)意愈演(yan)愈烈,最終結(jie)(jie)成(cheng)大(da)恨深(shen)仇;世間若(ruo)冤(yuan)冤(yuan)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)報,更會(hui)結(jie)(jie)成(cheng)丈冤(yuan)大(da)孽,兩家(jia)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)爭(zheng),雙方(fang)都招(zhao)禍(huo)害;即(ji)令(ling)有(you)時報應(ying)(ying)沒有(you)立即(ji)顯現,還以為自(zi)己占了上(shang)風(feng),但因(yin)果(guo)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)生,從(cong)來(lai)不爽,惡(e)(e)報只(zhi)是時間問題。眾生應(ying)(ying)當想透這個道理(li)而立即(ji)破除恚(hui)恨,棄惡(e)(e)向善(shan)。
“人(ren)(ren)沉溺在情愛貪(tan)欲之(zhi)中,獨身而來,孤獨而死,生(sheng)無(wu)人(ren)(ren)相(xiang)隨(sui),死無(wu)人(ren)(ren)陪伴,苦(ku)樂(le)之(zhi)果報,都(dou)是(shi)(shi)自作自受(shou),沒有(you)誰能(neng)代(dai)替,也無(wu)人(ren)(ren)可以除(chu)免。善與惡的(de)循環果報千變萬化,追從(cong)相(xiang)隨(sui),直(zhi)到(dao)(dao)來生(sheng)來世(shi)。雖是(shi)(shi)親眷家屬,善有(you)善報,惡有(you)惡報,善生(sheng)善趣,惡降惡道,若積業有(you)差,生(sheng)處也就不(bu)同,到(dao)(dao)那時便(bian)無(wu)從(cong)會(hui)見,何不(bu)趁此強(qiang)健在世(shi)之(zhi)時,努力修行善道,還(huan)將等到(dao)(dao)什么(me)時候?
“世(shi)(shi)間之人因為(wei)不(bu)能夠認識什(shen)(shen)么(me)是善,什(shen)(shen)么(me)是惡(e),各以(yi)自己的愚癡(chi),妄(wang)加分別猜測吉兇禍福,競相(xiang)造作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)業,身作(zuo)(zuo)愚行,頭腦中一(yi)片(pian)黑暗,不(bu)信(xin)受(shou)經法(fa),反(fan)而接受(shou)其(qi)他的外道(dao)邪說。如是的顛倒(dao)之見,相(xiang)續不(bu)絕,成為(wei)生死無(wu)常輪回的根(gen)本動力(li),這(zhe)就(jiu)像蒙上(shang)眼(yan)睛什(shen)(shen)么(me)也(ye)看不(bu)見,卻(que)一(yi)味胡沖亂(luan)闖。不(bu)信(xin)受(shou)佛教經法(fa),心便沒(mei)有遠慮,一(yi)心追(zhui)求(qiu)于(yu)現世(shi)(shi)之樂;癡(chi)迷于(yu)瞋(chen)恚忿怒而不(bu)自覺,貪吝(lin)財物女色而以(yi)為(wei)欣(xin)然。肆無(wu)忌憚,沒(mei)有終了(le)之時,真正(zheng)悲哀,實在可憐(lian)!上(shang)輩愚癡(chi),不(bu)知(zhi)佛道(dao),不(bu)懂道(dao)德,不(bu)對后輩進行教導(dao),世(shi)(shi)代惡(e)業相(xiang)襲,癡(chi)頑無(wu)知(zhi),世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)受(shou)報,就(jiu)沒(mei)有什(shen)(shen)么(me)可奇怪(guai)的了(le)。
“世間之人,對(dui)生(sheng)死輪(lun)回于(yu)六道(dao),前(qian)生(sheng)積善,下(xia)世得(de)善,前(qian)生(sheng)積惡(e)(e),下(xia)世得(de)惡(e)(e)的(de)規律,不能相(xiang)信奉(feng)受,以為(wei)(wei)并沒(mei)有(you)因果報應(ying)。更有(you)甚者,看到(dao)別(bie)人死了(le)袖手旁觀,無動于(yu)衷,殊不知生(sheng)死之事遲(chi)早(zao)必然要落到(dao)自己頭上。父子、兄弟、夫婦等(deng)親屬死別(bie)之時(shi),相(xiang)互哭泣。相(xiang)愛的(de)人生(sheng)離死別(bie),一次次地(di)戀顧難分,恩(en)愛轉化為(wei)(wei)憂(you)苦,如結繩自相(xiang)束縛,哪里(li)還有(you)解(jie)脫的(de)時(shi)候?思想(xiang)生(sheng)前(qian)的(de)恩(en)恩(en)愛愛,考(kao)慮(lv)親善友(you)誼(yi),無不是情(qing)欲所(suo)支配。不能深思熟(shu)慮(lv)而專心精(jing)勤(qin)地(di)修行佛道(dao),人生(sheng)苦短(duan),年壽一期,轉瞬即盡,衰老(lao)來臨(lin),則(ze)一籌莫展(zhan),徒(tu)感(gan)無可奈何!
“世間對佛法不理解而(er)迷惑的人(ren)(ren)多,醒悟得道(dao)的人(ren)(ren)少,各人(ren)(ren)心(xin)懷殘(can)傷他人(ren)(ren)的心(xin)念,惡氣冥冥昏暗,如(ru)是造惡之人(ren)(ren)由妄心(xin)興(xing)起各種事端(duan),違背天命,不顧人(ren)(ren)意,恣意作惡,惡貫滿盈,頓時之間便會奪去陽壽,下墮于(yu)地獄、餓(e)鬼、畜生(sheng)惡道(dao),永無(wu)出頭之期。
“你們應當(dang)(dang)深思熟慮,遠(yuan)遠(yuan)脫離各種惡業,選擇善事,勤苦(ku)地修行之(zhi)。富貴榮(rong)華(hua)不可能長久保持(chi),到時(shi)候都將(jiang)離你而(er)去(qu)。富貴榮(rong)華(hua)其實也都是‘苦(ku)’,沒有什么可稱為‘樂(le)’的。你們應當(dang)(dang)勤奮精(jing)進,求生(sheng)西方極樂(le)世界(jie)。得(de)生(sheng)西方極樂(le)世界(jie),則(ze)智慧明(ming)了通達,功德最大。千萬(wan)不要隨心所(suo)欲,虧(kui)負(fu)于經教(jiao)戒行,落在他人之(zhi)后(hou)。”
【原文】彌勒白言:佛語教(jiao)戒(jie),甚深甚善(shan)(shan)。皆蒙慈恩,解脫(tuo)憂苦(ku)。佛為法王,尊超群圣,光明(ming)(ming)(ming)徹照,洞達無(wu)極(ji),普為一(yi)切天人(ren)之師。今得值佛,復聞(wen)無(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)聲,靡不歡喜,心得開明(ming)(ming)(ming)。佛告彌勒:敬于(yu)佛者(zhe),是為大善(shan)(shan)。實當(dang)念(nian)佛,截斷狐疑。拔諸(zhu)愛欲,杜眾惡源。游步三界(jie),無(wu)所罣(gua)礙。開示正(zheng)道,度未度者(zhe)。若曹當(dang)知十方(fang)人(ren)民(min),永(yong)劫(jie)以來,輾(zhan)轉五(wu)道,憂苦(ku)不絕。生(sheng)時(shi)苦(ku)痛(tong),老亦苦(ku)痛(tong),病極(ji)苦(ku)痛(tong),死(si)極(ji)苦(ku)痛(tong)。惡臭(chou)不凈,無(wu)可樂者(zhe)。宜(yi)自決斷,洗除心垢。言行忠信(xin),表(biao)里(li)相應。人(ren)能(neng)自度,轉相拯(zheng)濟。至心求(qiu)(qiu)愿,積累善(shan)(shan)本。雖一(yi)世精(jing)進勤(qin)苦(ku),須臾間(jian)耳。后(hou)生(sheng)無(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)國,快樂無(wu)極(ji)。永(yong)拔生(sheng)死(si)之本,無(wu)復苦(ku)惱(nao)之患。壽(shou)千萬(wan)劫(jie),自在隨意。宜(yi)各精(jing)進,求(qiu)(qiu)心所愿。無(wu)得疑悔(hui),自為過咎,生(sheng)彼邊地七寶城(cheng)中,于(yu)五(wu)百歲(sui)受(shou)諸(zhu)厄也。彌勒白言:受(shou)佛明(ming)(ming)(ming)誨,專精(jing)修學(xue)。如教(jiao)奉行,不敢有(you)疑。
【譯文】彌勒菩薩于(yu)是說(shuo):“佛(fo)說(shuo)了教人修(xiu)善的法義,非(fei)常深刻非(fei)常善妙(miao)。我等會眾都(dou)蒙佛(fo)慈悲之恩(en),得(de)聞(wen)要(yao)津(jin),以(yi)解脫(tuo)于(yu)生(sheng)死憂(you)苦。佛(fo)為(wei)法王(wang),超過諸天圣人而為(wei)至尊(zun),佛(fo)所說(shuo)之法如同光明,澈(che)照十(shi)方(fang),洞達無窮(qiong)。佛(fo)是所有(you)有(you)緣眾生(sheng)的導師。現在得(de)以(yi)在這(zhe)里見到(dao)佛(fo)并聽聞(wen)說(shuo)法,實在難(nan)得(de),更(geng)難(nan)得(de)的是聽聞(wen)到(dao)有(you)關無量壽佛(fo)的聲音,大家沒有(you)一個不歡欣鼓舞的,我們的心因此得(de)以(yi)澈(che)悟而明了真諦(di)。”
釋迦牟尼佛告誨彌勒(le):“恭敬于佛的(de)人(ren),他是有(you)大善之人(ren),應當(dang)實(shi)實(shi)際際地(di)念(nian)佛,截斷狐疑猜忌,拔除各(ge)(ge)種(zhong)愛(ai)欲,杜絕各(ge)(ge)種(zhong)惡(e)(e)意惡(e)(e)念(nian)的(de)源頭,雖然奔(ben)走于三界世間穢(hui)土,卻(que)無(wu)所牽掛,無(wu)所障礙,向眾生(sheng)開示講演佛法正道,度化(hua)(hua)還未得(de)度化(hua)(hua)的(de)有(you)情(qing)眾生(sheng)。你們應當(dang)知道,十(shi)方世界的(de)人(ren)民,從無(wu)比久遠以(yi)來(lai),反復輾轉、輪(lun)回于天、人(ren)、畜(chu)生(sheng)、餓鬼和地(di)獄(yu)五道,沉淪生(sheng)死,憂苦(ku)(ku)不(bu)絕。誕生(sheng)之時(shi)有(you)‘生(sheng)苦(ku)(ku)’之痛(tong),壽(shou)終(zhong)之時(shi)有(you)‘死苦(ku)(ku)’之痛(tong),身體臭惡(e)(e)而(er)(er)不(bu)清凈(jing),沒有(you)什(shen)么可稱為‘快樂(le)’的(de)。應自下(xia)決心,斷絕惡(e)(e)因,洗濯心中的(de)污(wu)垢,如言而(er)(er)行,如行而(er)(er)言,表(biao)里如一,誠實(shi)無(wu)欺。
“洗除了污垢而(er)表里如(ru)一(yi)的(de)人,能夠自行(xing)度脫(tuo),由自度轉而(er)拯救濟度他人。一(yi)心求取往(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)西方極樂凈土的(de)大愿,稱名念佛(fo),積(ji)累(lei)善(shan)本。雖一(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)世(shi)(shi)精進修行(xing)十分(fen)勤苦(ku),但這(zhe)一(yi)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)苦(ku),較之(zhi)一(yi)個人的(de)生(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi),只猶如(ru)片(pian)刻(ke)之(zhi)間。此(ci)生(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)勤苦(ku),使后(hou)世(shi)(shi)得以往(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)無量壽(shou)國,享受無窮無盡的(de)快樂,拔除生(sheng)(sheng)死根本惡因,遠離苦(ku)病煩惱之(zhi)患,壽(shou)命(ming)長(chang)達(da)千(qian)萬時劫,自在神通而(er)諸事隨心所欲。”
釋迦牟尼佛復(fu)喻眾(zhong)生(sheng):“你(ni)們應各自精進(jin)專修,把往(wang)生(sheng)凈土(tu)的愿(yuan)望(wang)切實地變為行動。不要(yao)疑(yi)惑,不要(yao)中(zhong)(zhong)途反悔,以(yi)免錯(cuo)過時機,造成錯(cuo)誤罪行,以(yi)至往(wang)生(sheng)時到(dao)了西方極樂凈土(tu)的邊地之國,在懷疑(yi)佛智的眾(zhong)生(sheng)聚(ju)集的七寶獄中(zhong)(zhong),于五百年的時間內,不得(de)見佛、法、僧三寶,不得(de)聞諸經佛法,受諸不幸處(chu)罰(fa)。”
彌勒菩薩領受佛旨,乃(nai)向佛言:“今(jin)天我們承受了佛明(ming)白完(wan)備的(de)(de)教誨,我等當專一修行,精進學習,按佛的(de)(de)教導誠(cheng)心奉行,不敢生出(chu)半點(dian)疑惑。”
【原文】佛(fo)告(gao)彌勒:汝等(deng)能(neng)(neng)于(yu)(yu)此(ci)世(shi),端心(xin)正意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),甚(shen)為(wei)大(da)(da)德(de)(de)(de)。所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)以者(zhe)何?十方世(shi)界(jie),善(shan)(shan)(shan)多惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)少,易(yi)可(ke)(ke)開(kai)化(hua)。唯此(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)世(shi)間(jian),最為(wei)劇苦(ku)。我(wo)今(jin)(jin)于(yu)(yu)此(ci)作(zuo)(zuo)佛(fo),教(jiao)化(hua)群(qun)生,令(ling)舍五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),去五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong),離(li)(li)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,降化(hua)其(qi)(qi)(qi)意,令(ling)持五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)善(shan)(shan)(shan),獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)福(fu)德(de)(de)(de)。何等(deng)為(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)?其(qi)(qi)(qi)一(yi)(yi)者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)諸(zhu)眾(zhong)(zhong)生類,欲(yu)(yu)為(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。強(qiang)者(zhe)伏弱,轉(zhuan)(zhuan)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)克賊(zei),殘害殺傷(shang),迭相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)吞啖(dan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan),后(hou)受殃罰。故(gu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)窮乞、孤(gu)獨、聾盲、喑啞、癡(chi)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、尪(wang)狂,皆因前世(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)道(dao)(dao)德(de)(de)(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)有(you)(you)(you)(you)尊貴(gui)、豪富、賢明(ming)、長(chang)者(zhe)、智(zhi)勇(yong)、才(cai)達(da),皆由宿世(shi)慈(ci)孝(xiao),修善(shan)(shan)(shan)積德(de)(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)致。世(shi)間(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)目前現事,壽(shou)終之(zhi)后(hou),入(ru)其(qi)(qi)(qi)幽冥(ming)。轉(zhuan)(zhuan)生受身(shen)(shen),改形易(yi)道(dao)(dao)。故(gu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)泥(ni)犁、禽獸、蜎飛蠕動之(zhi)屬。譬如(ru)世(shi)法牢獄,劇苦(ku)極刑,魂神(shen)(shen)命(ming)(ming)精,隨(sui)罪趣(qu)向。所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)受壽(shou)命(ming)(ming),或(huo)長(chang)或(huo)短,相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)從共生,更相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)報償(chang)。殃惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)未盡(jin),終不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得(de)離(li)(li)。輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中,累劫難(nan)出(chu)。難(nan)得(de)解脫(tuo)(tuo),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)言(yan)。天(tian)(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然有(you)(you)(you)(you)是。雖不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時暴應,善(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)會當歸(gui)之(zhi)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)二(er)者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順法度(du)。奢淫驕縱,任心(xin)自(zi)(zi)(zi)恣(zi)。居上不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),在位不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。陷人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)冤枉,損(sun)害忠良(liang)。心(xin)口各異,機偽多端。尊卑中外,更相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)欺誑。瞋恚(hui)愚癡(chi),欲(yu)(yu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)厚己,欲(yu)(yu)貪多有(you)(you)(you)(you)。利(li)害勝負(fu),結忿成仇。破(po)家(jia)亡身(shen)(shen),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧(gu)前后(hou)。富有(you)(you)(you)(you)慳惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)施(shi)與(yu)。愛保貪重,心(xin)勞身(shen)(shen)苦(ku)。如(ru)是至(zhi)竟(jing),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)一(yi)(yi)隨(sui)者(zhe)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)禍(huo)福(fu),追命(ming)(ming)所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)生。或(huo)在樂(le)處,或(huo)入(ru)苦(ku)毒。又或(huo)見善(shan)(shan)(shan)憎(zeng)(zeng)謗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思慕(mu)及(ji)。常(chang)(chang)懷盜心(xin),悕望(wang)他利(li)。用自(zi)(zi)(zi)供給(gei),消散復取。神(shen)(shen)明(ming)克識(shi),終入(ru)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)。自(zi)(zi)(zi)有(you)(you)(you)(you)三(san)途無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱,輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中,累劫難(nan)出(chu),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)言(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)三(san)者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)因寄(ji)生,壽(shou)命(ming)(ming)幾何。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)良(liang)之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身(shen)(shen)心(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。常(chang)(chang)懷邪惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),常(chang)(chang)念淫欲(yu)(yu)。煩滿胸中,邪態(tai)外逸。費(fei)損(sun)家(jia)財(cai),事為(wei)非法。所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)當求者(zhe),而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)為(wei)。又或(huo)交結聚會,興兵相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)伐。攻劫殺戮,強(qiang)奪(duo)迫(po)脅(xie)。歸(gui)給(gei)妻子,極身(shen)(shen)作(zuo)(zuo)樂(le)。眾(zhong)(zhong)共憎(zeng)(zeng)厭,患而苦(ku)之(zhi)。如(ru)是之(zhi)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),著于(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)鬼。神(shen)(shen)明(ming)記識(shi),自(zi)(zi)(zi)入(ru)三(san)途。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱,輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中。累劫難(nan)出(chu),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)言(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)四者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)念修善(shan)(shan)(shan)。兩舌(she)、惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)口、妄言(yan)、綺語。憎(zeng)(zeng)嫉善(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),敗壞賢明(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)孝(xiao)父(fu)母(mu),輕慢師(shi)長(chang)。朋友無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)信(xin),難(nan)得(de)誠(cheng)(cheng)實(shi)。尊貴(gui)自(zi)(zi)(zi)大(da)(da),謂(wei)己有(you)(you)(you)(you)道(dao)(dao)。橫(heng)行(xing)威勢,侵易(yi)于(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。欲(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)畏敬,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)慚懼。難(nan)可(ke)(ke)降化(hua),常(chang)(chang)懷驕慢。賴其(qi)(qi)(qi)前世(shi),福(fu)德(de)(de)(de)營護(hu)。今(jin)(jin)世(shi)為(wei)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),福(fu)德(de)(de)(de)盡(jin)滅。壽(shou)命(ming)(ming)終盡(jin),諸(zhu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)繞歸(gui)。又其(qi)(qi)(qi)名籍,記在神(shen)(shen)明(ming)。殃咎牽引,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)從舍離(li)(li)。但(dan)得(de)前行(xing),入(ru)于(yu)(yu)火鑊(huo)。身(shen)(shen)心(xin)摧(cui)碎(sui),神(shen)(shen)形苦(ku)極。當斯(si)之(zhi)時,悔(hui)(hui)復何及(ji)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民徙倚懈(xie)怠。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)作(zuo)(zuo)善(shan)(shan)(shan),治身(shen)(shen)修業。父(fu)母(mu)教(jiao)誨(hui),違(wei)戾(li)反逆。譬如(ru)怨家(jia),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)子。負(fu)恩違(wei)義,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)報償(chang)。放恣(zi)游(you)散,耽酒嗜美。魯(lu)扈抵突,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)識(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)情(qing)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)義無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)禮,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)諫曉。六親(qin)眷屬,資用有(you)(you)(you)(you)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)憂(you)念。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)惟父(fu)母(mu)之(zhi)恩,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)存師(shi)友之(zhi)義。意念身(shen)(shen)口,曾無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)一(yi)(yi)善(shan)(shan)(shan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)諸(zhu)佛(fo)經法,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)生死(si)善(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。欲(yu)(yu)害真(zhen)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),斗亂僧眾(zhong)(zhong)。愚癡(chi)蒙昧(mei),自(zi)(zi)(zi)為(wei)智(zhi)慧。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)生所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)從來,死(si)所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)趣(qu)向。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)仁不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順,希望(wang)長(chang)生。慈(ci)心(xin)教(jiao)誨(hui),而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)信(xin)。苦(ku)口與(yu)語,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)益其(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。心(xin)中閉塞(sai),意不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開(kai)解。大(da)(da)命(ming)(ming)將終,悔(hui)(hui)懼交至(zhi)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預修善(shan)(shan)(shan),臨時乃悔(hui)(hui)。悔(hui)(hui)之(zhi)于(yu)(yu)后(hou),將何及(ji)乎!天(tian)(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian),五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)道(dao)(dao)分明(ming)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)報應,禍(huo)福(fu)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)承(cheng)。身(shen)(shen)自(zi)(zi)(zi)當之(zhi),無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)誰代者(zhe)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)善(shan)(shan)(shan),從樂(le)入(ru)樂(le),從明(ming)入(ru)明(ming)。惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),從苦(ku)入(ru)苦(ku),從冥(ming)入(ru)冥(ming)。誰能(neng)(neng)知(zhi)者(zhe),獨佛(fo)知(zhi)耳。教(jiao)語開(kai)示,信(xin)行(xing)者(zhe)少。生死(si)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)休,惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕。如(ru)是世(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),難(nan)可(ke)(ke)具盡(jin)。故(gu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然三(san)途,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量苦(ku)惱,輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中。世(shi)世(shi)累劫,無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)出(chu)期。難(nan)得(de)解脫(tuo)(tuo),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)(ke)言(yan)。如(ru)是五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,譬如(ru)大(da)(da)火,焚燒人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)身(shen)(shen)。若能(neng)(neng)自(zi)(zi)(zi)于(yu)(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中一(yi)(yi)心(xin)制意,端身(shen)(shen)正念,言(yan)行(xing)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)副,所(suo)(suo)(suo)(suo)作(zuo)(zuo)至(zhi)誠(cheng)(cheng),獨作(zuo)(zuo)諸(zhu)善(shan)(shan)(shan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。身(shen)(shen)獨度(du)脫(tuo)(tuo),獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)福(fu)德(de)(de)(de),可(ke)(ke)得(de)長(chang)壽(shou)泥(ni)洹之(zhi)道(dao)(dao)。是為(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)大(da)(da)善(shan)(shan)(shan)也。
【譯文】釋(shi)迦牟尼佛(fo)告訴(su)彌勒說:“你等(deng)能(neng)于此(ci)濁世(shi)(shi)之(zhi)中正心誠意,不(bu)(bu)為種(zhong)種(zhong)惡(e)(e)業(ye),堪可稱(cheng)為‘大(da)(da)(da)德’。為什么這(zhe)(zhe)樣說呢?十方(fang)諸佛(fo)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)善多(duo)(duo)惡(e)(e)少,容易(yi)接受開(kai)導教化(hua),唯有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)間(jian),‘苦’最(zui)大(da)(da)(da)最(zui)多(duo)(duo)。我(wo)現今在此(ci)作佛(fo),教化(hua)群(qun)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),欲(yu)使(shi)他們舍掉‘五(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)’,去脫(tuo)‘五(wu)(wu)(wu)痛’,離開(kai)‘五(wu)(wu)(wu)燒’,降伏(fu)化(hua)除他們的(de)(de)(de)(de)癡(chi)(chi)迷之(zhi)心,讓他們守持‘五(wu)(wu)(wu)善’,使(shi)他們獲(huo)得(de)福德。這(zhe)(zhe)‘五(wu)(wu)(wu)’是什么呢?其(qi)一者(zhe),世(shi)(shi)間(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)諸眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)類(lei)(lei),想作種(zhong)種(zhong)惡(e)(e)事(shi),強(qiang)者(zhe)降伏(fu)弱(ruo)者(zhe),強(qiang)者(zhe)身后又(you)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)更強(qiang)者(zhe)降伏(fu)他,輾轉相(xiang)(xiang)制,殘害(hai)傷殺,大(da)(da)(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)吞(tun)(tun)食小的(de)(de)(de)(de),吞(tun)(tun)食者(zhe)又(you)被(bei)更大(da)(da)(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)所吞(tun)(tun)。以暴凌善,以強(qiang)欺弱(ruo),完全(quan)不(bu)(bu)懂得(de)相(xiang)(xiang)互為善。因(yin)(yin)(yin)為眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)如此(ci)作惡(e)(e)而其(qi)來(lai)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)受到的(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)(bao)和懲罰。所以,這(zhe)(zhe)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)貧窮(qiong)、有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)乞丐,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)父母,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)兒女,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)聾,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)瞎,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)啞,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)癡(chi)(chi)呆,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)(e)毒,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)殘廢,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)瘋狂(kuang),這(zhe)(zhe)都是因(yin)(yin)(yin)為前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)信道(dao),不(bu)(bu)積德,不(bu)(bu)為善,所受的(de)(de)(de)(de)‘殃罰’。世(shi)(shi)間(jian)也有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)尊貴,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)豪富,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)賢明,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)受眾尊敬,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)智勇雙全(quan),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)(ren)(ren)才能(neng)精深博大(da)(da)(da)。這(zhe)(zhe)都是由于前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)慈悲孝順等(deng)等(deng)修善積德所得(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)善報(bao)(bao)。現實世(shi)(shi)間(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)可見(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)(bao)之(zhi)事(shi),更有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)壽終之(zhi)后下到冥(ming)界(jie)后不(bu)(bu)可見(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)(bao)之(zhi)事(shi),在冥(ming)界(jie)轉生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)投胎(tai)又(you)受色(se)身,改變(bian)了原來(lai)的(de)(de)(de)(de)形象,變(bian)豬(zhu)變(bian)狗,在五(wu)(wu)(wu)道(dao)中淪陷(xian)于更低的(de)(de)(de)(de)位置。因(yin)(yin)(yin)此(ci),便(bian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)地獄(yu)、禽獸、飛蠅、爬蟲(chong)之(zhi)類(lei)(lei)。這(zhe)(zhe)就猶如以世(shi)(shi)間(jian)法(fa)律治罪犯,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)關在牢獄(yu)之(zhi)中,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)受到極刑(xing)痛苦。精靈魂魄(po)與其(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)前(qian)(qian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)罪報(bao)(bao)相(xiang)(xiang)隨相(xiang)(xiang)從,不(bu)(bu)管(guan)所得(de)到的(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命或長或短,冤家(jia)債主相(xiang)(xiang)追隨共生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一處,一定(ding)要將(jiang)前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)怨仇一一清(qing)算,以期(qi)報(bao)(bao)償。所犯罪行若(ruo)沒有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)結清(qing),便(bian)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)夠分開(kai),如此(ci)輾轉往復于其(qi)惡(e)(e)道(dao)中,很多(duo)(duo)時劫也難(nan)得(de)出離,絕少有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)機會獲(huo)得(de)解脫(tuo),其(qi)痛苦難(nan)以言說。天(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian),因(yin)(yin)(yin)果(guo)(guo)(guo)相(xiang)(xiang)因(yin)(yin)(yin),報(bao)(bao)應(ying)不(bu)(bu)爽,必應(ying)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)如此(ci)狀。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)時雖不(bu)(bu)即(ji)時報(bao)(bao)應(ying),但善因(yin)(yin)(yin)善果(guo)(guo)(guo),惡(e)(e)因(yin)(yin)(yin)惡(e)(e)果(guo)(guo)(guo),時候一至,無(wu)不(bu)(bu)兌現。
“其(qi)二者(zhe),世(shi)間(jian)人(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)依法規軌則,奢侈淫樂,驕橫放(fang)(fang)縱(zong),放(fang)(fang)情縱(zong)欲。居(ju)上位(wei)的(de)官員(yuan)貪贓枉法,誤(wu)國殃(yang)民(min),在位(wei)而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能正已(yi)之身(shen),誣陷(xian)使人(ren)(ren)冤枉,更(geng)陷(xian)害忠良,阿諛誹謗(bang),心口不(bu)(bu)(bu)一(yi),投機取(qu)巧,詭詐虛偽(wei)。還不(bu)(bu)(bu)只是居(ju)上位(wei)的(de)官員(yuan)如此(ci),這世(shi)間(jian)無論尊(zun)貴的(de)王(wang)公貴族,卑殘的(de)奴仆馬(ma)弁(bian),族中的(de)親眷家(jia)屬,外界(jie)的(de)平民(min)百姓,都是互相欺誑,瞋恚(hui)愚(yu)癡。人(ren)(ren)們都想自己占便(bian)宜(yi),損(sun)他人(ren)(ren)而(er)利己。為了貪婪攫取(qu),占有更(geng)多的(de)利益,不(bu)(bu)(bu)惜以利相侵,互相算計謀害,由(you)此(ci)結下忿(fen)(fen)惱(nao),由(you)結忿(fen)(fen)惱(nao)又升格為仇(chou)恨,甚(shen)至(zhi)家(jia)破人(ren)(ren)亡,不(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前因后果的(de)報應法則。富有者(zhe),慳吝貪惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯施舍與人(ren)(ren)。愛欲頑固,貪心深重,終生(sheng)身(shen)心勞苦(ku),就這樣一(yi)直到死。到了死時,財物又帶不(bu)(bu)(bu)走,沒(mei)有一(yi)樣能拿到陰間(jian)。善惡禍(huo)福(fu)平生(sheng)之業,卻追隨其(qi)人(ren)(ren)靈魂而(er)到往生(sheng)處,或(huo)者(zhe)三善道,或(huo)者(zhe)三惡道,總之,決不(bu)(bu)(bu)會(hui)放(fang)(fang)棄此(ci)人(ren)(ren)。
“再(zai)有,或有見人之(zhi)善,不(bu)是想著如(ru)何去學習他,敬慕他,而是憎(zeng)惡誹謗(bang)他,胸中常懷(huai)侵(qin)奪之(zhi)心,希(xi)望損人利己,將(jiang)他人之(zhi)財物供(gong)自(zi)(zi)己取用,揮霍(huo)完了,又重(zhong)去盜取。當然(ran)逃不(bu)出神明的眼界,終(zhong)將(jiang)其(qi)(qi)人打入惡道(dao)(dao)(dao),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)有三途惡道(dao)(dao)(dao)的無量苦(ku)惱等著他,其(qi)(qi)人輾轉(zhuan)于三惡道(dao)(dao)(dao)中,曠劫(jie)長(chang)時也(ye)難(nan)以得出,其(qi)(qi)痛苦(ku)不(bu)堪(kan)言說(shuo)。
“其(qi)(qi)三(san)者,世(shi)(shi)間人(ren)(ren)眾,由(you)于相(xiang)互之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)間的(de)(de)業因(yin)導果而(er)出生(sheng)于世(shi)(shi),壽命(ming)能有多長?不(bu)良之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren),身(shen)心不(bu)正,常(chang)懷(huai)邪(xie)惡(e)(e)狠毒(du)(du)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心,常(chang)沉溺(ni)于淫欲放(fang)(fang)蕩(dang),煩懣填塞胸(xiong)中(zhong),淫邪(xie)放(fang)(fang)蕩(dang)流露于外(wai)表,所作(zuo)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)事不(bu)但耗(hao)費損失家中(zhong)產業,更因(yin)這(zhe)些事情(qing)不(bu)合法度甚而(er)至于違(wei)犯(fan)法律(lv)招(zhao)來(lai)(lai)惡(e)(e)報。應當為(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)追求(qiu)、為(wei)(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)奮斗的(de)(de),他們(men)不(bu)愿去追求(qiu)去奮斗。又有的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)拉幫結伙,興起爭戰,互相(xiang)攻伐,侵掠(lve)殺戮,武力脅迫,公然搶奪。將以此(ci)種種獸行(xing)搶奪來(lai)(lai)的(de)(de)財物拿去取悅于妻妾強(qiang)人(ren)(ren),縱(zong)情(qing)于聲(sheng)色,不(bu)知(zhi)疲倦地尋歡(huan)作(zuo)樂。世(shi)(shi)間人(ren)(ren)眾對此(ci)憎惡(e)(e)討厭(yan),為(wei)(wei)此(ci)使之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)遭受(shou)災禍和無邊痛苦(ku)。這(zhe)些作(zuo)惡(e)(e)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren),雖現人(ren)(ren)形,卻顯鬼魅的(de)(de)惡(e)(e)毒(du)(du)。那(nei)明(ming)察人(ren)(ren)世(shi)(shi)的(de)(de)神明(ming)白會給他們(men)記(ji)上這(zhe)筆帳,以他們(men)自己此(ci)生(sheng)作(zuo)惡(e)(e)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)因(yin),將其(qi)(qi)在(zai)來(lai)(lai)世(shi)(shi)轉生(sheng)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)變(bian)為(wei)(wei)餓鬼畜生(sheng),墮入三(san)惡(e)(e)道(dao)(dao),受(shou)到那(nei)無邊無量無窮無盡的(de)(de)苦(ku)痛折(zhe)磨,其(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)輾轉于三(san)惡(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong),很多時(shi)劫也不(bu)能出來(lai)(lai),其(qi)(qi)痛苦(ku)難以言說。
“其(qi)四者,世(shi)間的人(ren)民不(bu)(bu)掛念著(zhu)修善的事,卻撥(bo)弄是(shi)非(fei),言辭粗鄙(bi),假話大(da)話,阿(a)諛逢迎,憎(zeng)恨嫉妒善人(ren)的才(cai)德,敗(bai)壞(huai)賢明之(zhi)人(ren)的名(ming)聲;不(bu)(bu)孝敬(jing)順(shun)遂父母,不(bu)(bu)尊重(zhong)而慢待老師,朋友間不(bu)(bu)守信譽(yu),難得(de)以(yi)誠相待;驕傲(ao)自(zi)大(da),炫(xuan)耀自(zi)己有道行(xing),橫(heng)行(xing)霸道,仗勢欺人(ren),想讓大(da)眾對己產生(sheng)敬(jing)畏;不(bu)(bu)知羞(xiu)慚,不(bu)(bu)自(zi)戒(jie)慎,不(bu)(bu)聽勸慰,不(bu)(bu)服教化,其(qi)心常懷自(zi)大(da)傲(ao)慢,僅(jin)依靠其(qi)前(qian)生(sheng)前(qian)世(shi)所(suo)(suo)積累的那點福(fu)德的佑護,才(cai)未馬(ma)上(shang)受難;于今生(sheng)今世(shi)作惡(e)多端,前(qian)世(shi)辛(xin)勤修得(de)的福(fu)德終歸消耗殆盡。其(qi)人(ren)終了之(zhi)時,他(ta)所(suo)(suo)作的各種(zhong)惡(e)業擁著(zhu)他(ta)的魂魄去到(dao)冥世(shi),他(ta)的惡(e)名(ming)和所(suo)(suo)作的惡(e)業,都登(deng)記(ji)在神(shen)明的檔案里,其(qi)人(ren)被自(zi)身(shen)生(sheng)前(qian)所(suo)(suo)作之(zhi)災(zai)惡(e)罪過所(suo)(suo)牽引,沒有辦法得(de)以(yi)脫身(shen),只好(hao)跟著(zhu)前(qian)去,進入到(dao)獄火湯鑊之(zhi)中,身(shen)心被摧毀破碎,精神(shen)肉體痛苦不(bu)(bu)堪。到(dao)了這個時候,后悔也來不(bu)(bu)及(ji)了。
“其五者(zhe),世(shi)(shi)間的(de)人(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思努力(li),留(liu)連于(yu)松(song)懈懶惰(duo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作善舉好事,也(ye)(ye)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯修(xiu)身(shen)養性(xing),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)敬業樂群。父(fu)母(mu)(mu)教誨兒(er)女,兒(er)女違(wei)背忤逆,就(jiu)好像是冤家對頭。有(you)這樣的(de)兒(er)女還(huan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如沒(mei)有(you)。如此兒(er)女,辜(gu)負(fu)父(fu)母(mu)(mu)養育之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩(en),違(wei)背孝敬長輩的(de)世(shi)(shi)間禮儀(yi),對父(fu)母(mu)(mu)的(de)恩(en)德(de)全(quan)無(wu)一點報答之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情(qing)。有(you)的(de)人(ren)放(fang)蕩自縱,游樂散漫,好酒貪杯,嗜愛美(mei)味(wei),無(wu)知無(wu)識,專橫跋(ba)扈,心無(wu)遠見,冥行妄(wang)作,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得人(ren)情(qing)世(shi)(shi)故(gu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得仁義禮貌.對其規勸告誡也(ye)(ye)沒(mei)有(you)用。有(you)的(de)人(ren)對父(fu)母(mu)(mu)姊(zi)妹;親戚(qi)眷屬的(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)活困難全(quan)然不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮(lv)父(fu)母(mu)(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮(lv)老(lao)師朋(peng)友情(qing)義,心常念惡,口(kou)常言(yan)惡,身(shen)常行惡,三業之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中一無(wu)是處,無(wu)善可言(yan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)仰諸佛的(de)經言(yan)法(fa)教,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)信(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死(si)(si)因果,善惡有(you)報。欲想(xiang)(xiang)殺害阿羅漢(han),離間僧(seng)眾使之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)爭斗,蒙昧(mei)無(wu)知,反而(er)自以為聰明(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知道生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)從何處而(er)來,死(si)(si)后(hou)又(you)去到(dao)(dao)何方(fang),待人(ren)接(jie)物,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知仁愛和順,癡心妄(wang)想(xiang)(xiang)于(yu)長生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)老(lao)。對慈(ci)悲(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心的(de)教誨不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯相(xiang)信(xin);對苦口(kou)婆心的(de)勸勉之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)話(hua);無(wu)動于(yu)衷(zhong)。上述人(ren)等心中因癡愚而(er)黑暗不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),對善意(yi)良言(yan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)開悟(wu)理解。生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命將要終(zhong)了之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi)(shi),后(hou)悔恐(kong)懼交(jiao)相(xiang)產(chan)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預先修(xiu)善,死(si)(si)到(dao)(dao)臨頭方(fang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)后(hou)悔,可為時(shi)(shi)已晚,再后(hou)悔也(ye)(ye)來不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)及了。
“在天地(di)中間(jian)(jian),天、人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)、餓鬼、畜(chu)生(sheng)、地(di)獄五道生(sheng)死流(liu)轉,其(qi)(qi)(qi)善(shan)惡(e)因果(guo)報應不爽是(shi)(shi)明擺著的(de)(de)事(shi)。行(xing)(xing)善(shan)作(zuo)惡(e)各有報應相隨,禍受(shou)之(zhi)于惡(e),福受(shou)之(zhi)于善(shan),是(shi)(shi)禍是(shi)(shi)福,均(jun)由其(qi)(qi)(qi)本人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)自(zi)己來(lai)承當,他人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)無(wu)可(ke)替代,善(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)善(shan)事(shi),今世(shi)(shi)樂施好善(shan),來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入(ru)(ru)富樂人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家;今世(shi)(shi)勤修福慧,來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入(ru)(ru)賢達人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家;惡(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)作(zuo)惡(e)事(shi),今世(shi)(shi)使人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)痛(tong)苦(ku),來(lai)生(sheng)得(de)(de)入(ru)(ru)窮苦(ku)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家;今世(shi)(shi)癡(chi)愚,來(lai)生(sheng)還(huan)入(ru)(ru)癡(chi)愚人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)家。這(zhe)其(qi)(qi)(qi)中的(de)(de)道理有誰能知(zhi)(zhi)?唯獨只有佛能知(zhi)(zhi)能曉。佛說的(de)(de)教(jiao)導人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)的(de)(de)方法,所(suo)開(kai)示(shi)的(de)(de)真(zhen)實之(zhi)相,信受(shou)不移而(er)依此篤(du)行(xing)(xing)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)極(ji)(ji)少極(ji)(ji)少。所(suo)以(yi)(yi)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)生(sheng)死輪回永不停止(zhi),墮(duo)于三惡(e)道之(zhi)路的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)不能斷絕。像(xiang)這(zhe)樣的(de)(de)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)凡夫(fu)(fu)俗子(zi),難(nan)以(yi)(yi)全部都(dou)度(du)脫完畢(bi),所(suo)以(yi)(yi)才有三惡(e)道無(wu)量苦(ku)惱(nao),讓這(zhe)樣的(de)(de)凡夫(fu)(fu)俗子(zi)輾轉于其(qi)(qi)(qi)中,生(sheng)生(sheng)世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi),曠劫而(er)不能得(de)(de)出,解(jie)脫生(sheng)死的(de)(de)希望無(wu)從感受(shou),痛(tong)苦(ku)難(nan)以(yi)(yi)言(yan)說。
“像這樣的五(wu)惡(e)、五(wu)痛、五(wu)燒,猶如大火焚燒人身,若有人能在火燒之中(zhong),專(zhuan)一其心(xin),制止意業發生,端正其行為思想(xiang),言(yan)行一致,誠心(xin)誠意,不管世間(jian)濁穢(hui)如何,獨作善事,不作各種(zhong)惡(e)事,其人之身便獨得(de)度脫,獲(huo)得(de)他(ta)行善報應的福德,可得(de)以在無生無滅的涅盤境界中(zhong)長生。這就是五(wu)大善。”
【原文】佛(fo)告彌勒:吾(wu)語汝(ru)等(deng),如是(shi)五(wu)(wu)惡(e)、五(wu)(wu)痛(tong)、五(wu)(wu)燒,輾轉相(xiang)生(sheng)。敢有(you)犯(fan)此,當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)歷惡(e)趣。或其今(jin)世,先被病殃,死(si)生(sheng)不(bu)得,示眾見(jian)之(zhi)。或于壽終,入(ru)三惡(e)道(dao)。愁痛(tong)酷毒,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)相(xiang)燋然。共其怨家,更相(xiang)殺(sha)傷。從小微起,成大困劇。皆(jie)由貪著(zhu)財色,不(bu)肯施惠。各欲(yu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)快,無復曲直。癡(chi)欲(yu)所迫(po),厚己爭利。富貴榮華(hua),當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)時快意。不(bu)能忍(ren)辱,不(bu)務修善。威勢無幾,隨以磨滅。天(tian)道(dao)施張,自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)然糾舉,煢煢忪忪,當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)入(ru)其中。古今(jin)有(you)是(shi),痛(tong)哉可傷!汝(ru)等(deng)得佛(fo)經語,熟思(si)惟(wei)之(zhi)。各自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)守,終身(shen)(shen)不(bu)怠。尊圣敬善,仁慈(ci)博(bo)愛。當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)求度世,拔(ba)斷生(sheng)死(si)眾惡(e)之(zhi)本(ben)。當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)離三途,憂(you)怖苦痛(tong)之(zhi)道(dao)。若曹(cao)作(zuo)善,云何第一?當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)心,當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)身(shen)(shen)。耳目口(kou)鼻,皆(jie)當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)自(zi)(zi)(zi)(zi)端(duan)。身(shen)(shen)心凈潔,與善相(xiang)應(ying)。勿隨嗜(shi)欲(yu),不(bu)犯(fan)諸惡(e)。言色當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)和,身(shen)(shen)行當(dang)(dang)(dang)(dang)專(zhuan)。動作(zuo)瞻視,安定徐為(wei)。作(zuo)事倉(cang)卒,敗悔在后。為(wei)之(zhi)不(bu)諦(di),亡其功夫(fu)。
【譯文】釋(shi)迦牟尼佛對彌勒(le)說:“我(wo)告訴了你們(men)這個(ge)五(wu)惡(e)(e)、五(wu)痛(tong)、五(wu)燒輾轉相生因(yin)果輪(lun)回的道理。若還有人(ren)敢于犯此(ci)五(wu)惡(e)(e),必當遭到惡(e)(e)果所(suo)報,或者其人(ren)今(jin)世就得(de)(de)現報,先被(bei)病惡(e)(e)禍(huo)及(ji),痛(tong)苦不堪(kan),求生不得(de)(de),求死不能,讓(rang)大(da)眾(zhong)都(dou)得(de)(de)見這惡(e)(e)行惡(e)(e)報的下(xia)場。或者其人(ren)在壽終(zhong)之(zhi)后,墮入三(san)惡(e)(e)趣中,憂愁痛(tong)苦,酷刑荼毒,自業之(zhi)火,炙灼自身(shen);與他在生之(zhi)世結的冤家對頭共處一(yi)地,互相傷害殘殺,從很小的摩(mo)擦開始,愈(yu)演愈(yu)烈,最終(zhong)釀成(cheng)重災大(da)禍(huo)。
“上述(shu)兩種惡報都是由于(yu)生之(zhi)世貪(tan)得(de)無(wu)厭,積(ji)斂錢財(cai)(cai),無(wu)羞無(wu)恥(chi),沉溺(ni)色情(qing),不(bu)(bu)肯以財(cai)(cai)物布施窮(qiong)人,只求(qiu)自己(ji)快樂(le)和欲(yu)望得(de)到滿足,不(bu)(bu)管所(suo)行之(zhi)事的是非曲直(zhi)。由癡欲(yu)貪(tan)婪(lan)之(zhi)心所(suo)迫使,損(sun)人利己(ji),不(bu)(bu)擇手段與人爭利,爭得(de)的富(fu)貴榮華,只是一時的快意(yi),不(bu)(bu)愿忍辱修習,不(bu)(bu)能修善積(ji)德,威風(feng)權勢沒有幾天長久,隨即便(bian)磨(mo)滅殆盡(jin)。天理昭然(ran),自會觀(guan)察(cha)審視(shi)到其人所(suo)為。其人自感罪(zui)行敗露,驚惶失(shi)措(cuo),將(jiang)孤獨地墮(duo)入(ru)惡道之(zhi)中。從古到今有不(bu)(bu)少這方面的例(li)子。痛心啊,真使人痛心!
“你們聽我說了(le)這些法教(jiao),應對這其中道(dao)(dao)理深思熟慮(lv),各(ge)自端守(shou)奉(feng)行(xing)(xing)教(jiao)法,終身不要(yao)有(you)片刻(ke)懈怠。尊重阿羅漢(han)等修(xiu)行(xing)(xing)人,敬愛行(xing)(xing)善(shan)好施的大居(ju)士,仁義慈悲,博愛眾(zhong)生,當(dang)求濟度世間有(you)情(qing)之道(dao)(dao),拔除(chu)斷滅生死(si)和各(ge)種惡的根源。如(ru)這樣作(zuo),則(ze)必將脫(tuo)離三(san)惡道(dao)(dao)的憂愁、恐怖、苦痛。你們作(zuo)善(shan)事,首先(xian)(xian)得作(zuo)什么?首先(xian)(xian)應當(dang)自行(xing)(xing)端正(zheng)(zheng)身心,端正(zheng)(zheng)耳、目(mu)、口(kou)、鼻(bi)。身心潔凈,與(yu)善(shan)便(bian)可(ke)相照應。不要(yao)順逐嗜好欲望,不要(yao)造下(xia)諸(zhu)種惡業,語言面容應當(dang)溫柔和藹(ai),自身及(ji)行(xing)(xing)為應當(dang)專誠瑞正(zheng)(zheng)。一(yi)舉一(yi)動,一(yi)言一(yi)行(xing)(xing),都應當(dang)安祥(xiang)沉靜,從容不迫。作(zuo)事倉(cang)卒慌(huang)忙,必將失(shi)敗與(yu)后悔,一(yi)招(zhao)不慎,便(bian)會喪(sang)失(shi)其修(xiu)習了(le)許久的功夫德行(xing)(xing)。”
【原文】汝(ru)(ru)等(deng)廣植(zhi)德本,勿犯(fan)道禁。忍辱精進,慈心(xin)(xin)專一。齋(zhai)戒清凈,一日(ri)一夜,勝在無量壽(shou)國(guo)(guo)為(wei)善百歲。所(suo)(suo)以(yi)者(zhe)何?彼佛國(guo)(guo)土(tu),皆(jie)積德眾善,無毫(hao)發之(zhi)(zhi)惡(e)。于(yu)此修善,十日(ri)十夜,勝于(yu)他方諸佛國(guo)(guo)中(zhong),為(wei)善千歲。所(suo)(suo)以(yi)者(zhe)何?他方佛國(guo)(guo),福德自(zi)然,無造惡(e)之(zhi)(zhi)地。唯此世間,善少惡(e)多,飲苦(ku)食毒,未嘗寧(ning)息(xi)。吾(wu)哀(ai)(ai)汝(ru)(ru)等(deng),苦(ku)心(xin)(xin)誨喻,授與(yu)經(jing)法(fa)。悉持思(si)之(zhi)(zhi),悉奉行之(zhi)(zhi)。尊卑、男(nan)女、眷屬、朋友,轉(zhuan)相教(jiao)語,自(zi)相約(yue)檢。和順義理,歡(huan)樂(le)慈孝。所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)如(ru)(ru)(ru)犯(fan),則自(zi)悔過。去惡(e)就善,朝聞(wen)夕改。奉持經(jing)戒,如(ru)(ru)(ru)貧得(de)寶。改往修來,洗(xi)心(xin)(xin)易(yi)行。自(zi)然感(gan)降,所(suo)(suo)愿輒得(de)。佛所(suo)(suo)行處(chu),國(guo)(guo)邑丘聚,靡不蒙(meng)化(hua)。天(tian)下(xia)和順,日(ri)月清明。風雨以(yi)時,災厲不起。國(guo)(guo)豐民安(an)(an),兵戈無用(yong)。崇德興仁,務修禮讓。國(guo)(guo)無盜賊,無有(you)怨(yuan)枉。強不凌弱(ruo),各得(de)其所(suo)(suo)。我(wo)哀(ai)(ai)汝(ru)(ru)等(deng),甚于(yu)父母念子。我(wo)于(yu)此世作(zuo)佛,以(yi)善攻惡(e),拔生死(si)之(zhi)(zhi)苦(ku)。令獲五德,升無為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)安(an)(an)。吾(wu)般泥(ni)洹,經(jing)道漸(jian)滅(mie)。人民諂偽,復為(wei)眾惡(e)。五燒五痛,久后轉(zhuan)劇。汝(ru)(ru)等(deng)轉(zhuan)相教(jiao)誡,如(ru)(ru)(ru)佛經(jing)法(fa),無得(de)犯(fan)也。彌勒(le)菩薩(sa),合掌(zhang)白言:世人惡(e)苦(ku),如(ru)(ru)(ru)是如(ru)(ru)(ru)是。佛皆(jie)慈哀(ai)(ai),悉度(du)脫之(zhi)(zhi)。受(shou)佛重誨,不敢違失。
【譯文】你們(men)(men)應(ying)當廣修六度,培(pei)植功(gong)德(de)之本(ben),不要違犯了(le)戒禁(jin)紀律。一(yi)(yi)定要忍辱精進,用心(xin)專一(yi)(yi)。守齋持(chi)戒,務使身心(xin)清(qing)凈。若能(neng)在(zai)此穢土守齋持(chi)戒一(yi)(yi)天(tian)(tian)一(yi)(yi)夜(ye),所獲(huo)的(de)功(gong)德(de)勝過(guo)在(zai)無量壽國(guo)里(li)作一(yi)(yi)百年(nian)的(de)善行義舉。為什么(me)呢(ni)?那(nei)西方(fang)極樂世界都是(shi)各種福德(de)善事積累而(er)成,沒有(you)(you)哪(na)怕是(shi)如毫(hao)毛頭發(fa)的(de)一(yi)(yi)絲(si)惡念。在(zai)我們(men)(men)這(zhe)娑婆世界修善十天(tian)(tian)十夜(ye),勝過(guo)在(zai)其他諸佛國(guo)中修善千年(nian)。為什么(me)呢(ni)?其他的(de)佛國(guo)天(tian)(tian)然有(you)(you)佛德(de),沒有(you)(you)造成惡業的(de)余地。不像我們(men)(men)這(zhe)世間,善少(shao)惡多,飲(yin)苦水,吃毒食,終無休止(zhi)之期。
我(wo)為(wei)(wei)你們(men)(men)眾生(sheng)悲哀(ai),所(suo)以才苦(ku)口婆心地(di)加以教(jiao)導,翻來(lai)(lai)復去的(de)(de)給出(chu)譬喻,一心要教(jiao)給你們(men)(men)經(jing)(jing)法,令你們(men)(men)受持(chi)(chi)思考,如教(jiao)奉行。對達官(guan)顯貴和奴(nu)仆百(bai)姓,對男(nan)人和女(nv)人,對親戚眷屬,對朋友(you)同事,轉述我(wo)教(jiao)導的(de)(de)這些話,務必(bi)要自行檢查約束(shu),使言行舉(ju)止(zhi)合順(shun)于(yu)(yu)理(li)(li)義,歡喜安樂(le)于(yu)(yu)慈愛兒女(nv)、孝(xiao)敬父母。所(suo)作所(suo)為(wei)(wei)如有違犯經(jing)(jing)戒(jie)的(de)(de)地(di)方,則自行改過(guo)(guo)。離(li)去惡而靠(kao)近善(shan),早上知道(dao)了正確的(de)(de)道(dao)理(li)(li),下午就改正過(guo)(guo)來(lai)(lai)。奉持(chi)(chi)經(jing)(jing)戒(jie),如同窮人得到珍(zhen)寶,改正以往的(de)(de)惡,修行未來(lai)(lai)的(de)(de)善(shan),洗除心中的(de)(de)污(wu)垢,變易自己的(de)(de)行為(wei)(wei),自然感應到佛力加持(chi)(chi),凡(fan)所(suo)求愿,都能圓(yuan)滿。
佛所到之處(chu),大到國家,小(xiao)到鄉(xiang)邑,凡(fan)眾生(sheng)聚居之處(chu),沒有(you)一地不(bu)蒙受(shou)教化,也沒有(you)一處(chu)不(bu)呈(cheng)現(xian)祥和太(tai)平。萬邦和睦,日月清(qing)明(ming),風調雨順,災害不(bu)起,瘟疫不(bu)行;國家豐足,人(ren)(ren)民安樂;刀槍入(ru)庫,尊崇道德(de);興施(shi)仁政,宣(xuan)傳禮讓(rang);國無盜賊,世(shi)無怨枉;強(qiang)者不(bu)欺凌弱者,人(ren)(ren)人(ren)(ren)都(dou)各得其所。
我憐(lian)憫你(ni)們(men)罪苦眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),勝過父母慈愛兒女。我在此(ci)五(wu)濁(zhuo)惡世(shi)上作(zuo)佛(fo);用善德來(lai)(lai)攻破惡行。拔(ba)除有情生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死之苦,使眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)獲得“五(wu)德”,升至無為(wei)無礙的(de)常樂心境。我圓(yuan)寂后,經(jing)(jing)法(fa)(fa)佛(fo)道將逐漸泯(min)滅,那時候,人心諂邪狡(jiao)詐,重新作(zuo)惡,五(wu)燒(shao)五(wu)痛,越(yue)來(lai)(lai)越(yue)劇(ju),你(ni)們(men)應當由我佛(fo)法(fa)(fa)的(de)弟子轉為(wei)教導(dao)世(shi)人的(de)老師(shi),不倦地教誡眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),引導(dao)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。你(ni)們(men)記住,對(dui)于佛(fo)所(suo)留下的(de)經(jing)(jing)法(fa)(fa),一(yi)定不要違(wei)犯。
彌勒菩薩合掌致謝禮(li),贊嘆道:世間(jian)人類的惡(e)與苦,如佛所說(shuo)這樣大、這樣深,佛皆慈哀世間(jian)惡(e)人,不計其惡(e)而全部度脫。我等受佛深刻(ke)的教誨,不敢違犯忘失(shi)。
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)告(gao)阿(a)(a)難:若曹欲見(jian)(jian)(jian)無(wu)(wu)量(liang)清凈(jing)平(ping)等(deng)覺,及諸(zhu)(zhu)菩薩(sa)、阿(a)(a)羅漢等(deng)所居國(guo)土,應起西向,當(dang)日沒(mei)處,恭敬頂(ding)禮,稱念(nian)南無(wu)(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)難即從座(zuo)起,面西合掌(zhang),頂(ding)禮白(bai)(bai)言(yan)(yan):我今愿見(jian)(jian)(jian)極樂世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),供養奉事,種(zhong)(zhong)諸(zhu)(zhu)善根(gen)。頂(ding)禮之間(jian),忽(hu)見(jian)(jian)(jian)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),容顏廣大(da),色(se)相(xiang)端嚴(yan)。如(ru)(ru)黃金山(shan),高(gao)出一(yi)切(qie)(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)上(shang)。又聞十(shi)方世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)如(ru)(ru)來,稱揚贊嘆(tan)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)種(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)功德(de)(de),無(wu)(wu)礙無(wu)(wu)斷。阿(a)(a)難白(bai)(bai)言(yan)(yan):彼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)凈(jing)剎得未曾有(you)(you),我亦(yi)愿樂生(sheng)于(yu)彼土。世尊告(gao)言(yan)(yan):其中生(sheng)者(zhe),已曾親近(jin)無(wu)(wu)量(liang)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),植眾(zhong)(zhong)德(de)(de)本(ben)。汝欲生(sheng)彼,應當(dang)一(yi)心(xin)歸依瞻仰(yang)。作(zuo)(zuo)是(shi)語時(shi),阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)即于(yu)掌(zhang)中放無(wu)(wu)量(liang)光(guang)(guang),普照一(yi)切(qie)(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)。時(shi)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)悉明(ming)(ming)現(xian),如(ru)(ru)處一(yi)尋。以阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)殊勝光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming),極清凈(jing)故,于(yu)此(ci)(ci)世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)所有(you)(you)黑山(shan)、雪山(shan)、金剛、鐵圍(wei)大(da)小諸(zhu)(zhu)山(shan),江河叢林,天(tian)(tian)人宮殿,一(yi)切(qie)(qie)(qie)境界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),無(wu)(wu)不照見(jian)(jian)(jian)。譬如(ru)(ru)日出,明(ming)(ming)照世間(jian)。乃至泥(ni)犁、溪(xi)谷,幽冥之處,悉大(da)開辟,皆(jie)(jie)(jie)同一(yi)色(se)。猶(you)如(ru)(ru)劫水(shui)彌(mi)(mi)滿世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),其中萬物,沉沒(mei)不現(xian),滉漾浩汗,唯(wei)見(jian)(jian)(jian)大(da)水(shui)。彼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming),亦(yi)復(fu)(fu)如(ru)(ru)是(shi)。聲(sheng)聞、菩薩(sa)一(yi)切(qie)(qie)(qie)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming),悉皆(jie)(jie)(jie)隱(yin)蔽,唯(wei)見(jian)(jian)(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)光(guang)(guang),明(ming)(ming)耀(yao)顯赫。此(ci)(ci)會四(si)眾(zhong)(zhong)、天(tian)(tian)龍(long)八部(bu)、人非人等(deng),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)見(jian)(jian)(jian)極樂世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),種(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)莊(zhuang)嚴(yan)。阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo),于(yu)彼高(gao)座(zuo),威德(de)(de)巍巍,相(xiang)好光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming),聲(sheng)聞、菩薩(sa),圍(wei)繞(rao)恭敬。譬如(ru)(ru)須彌(mi)(mi)山(shan)王,出于(yu)海面。明(ming)(ming)現(xian)照耀(yao),清凈(jing)平(ping)正。無(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)雜(za)穢,及異形類。唯(wei)是(shi)眾(zhong)(zhong)寶莊(zhuang)嚴(yan),圣(sheng)賢共住。阿(a)(a)難及諸(zhu)(zhu)菩薩(sa)眾(zhong)(zhong)等(deng),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)大(da)歡喜(xi),踴躍作(zuo)(zuo)禮,以頭著地,稱念(nian)南無(wu)(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)三(san)藐三(san)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)陀(tuo)。諸(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人民(min),以至蜎飛蠕(ru)動,睹(du)斯光(guang)(guang)者(zhe),所有(you)(you)疾苦,莫不休止,一(yi)切(qie)(qie)(qie)憂惱,莫不解(jie)脫(tuo)。悉皆(jie)(jie)(jie)慈心(xin)作(zuo)(zuo)善,歡喜(xi)快樂。鐘磬(qing)、琴瑟、箜篌樂器,不鼓(gu)自然皆(jie)(jie)(jie)作(zuo)(zuo)五音。諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)中,諸(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人民(min),各(ge)持花香,來于(yu)虛(xu)空,散作(zuo)(zuo)供養。爾時(shi)極樂世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),過(guo)于(yu)西方百千俱胝那由(you)他國(guo),以佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)威力(li),如(ru)(ru)對目前,如(ru)(ru)凈(jing)天(tian)(tian)眼,觀一(yi)尋地。彼見(jian)(jian)(jian)此(ci)(ci)土,亦(yi)復(fu)(fu)如(ru)(ru)是(shi)。悉睹(du)娑婆(po)世界(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie)(jie),釋迦如(ru)(ru)來,及比丘眾(zhong)(zhong),圍(wei)繞(rao)說法。
【譯文】釋(shi)加牟(mou)尼佛告誡阿(a)(a)(a)難說:“你們如(ru)果(guo)想見(jian)無(wu)量(liang)壽佛以及西(xi)(xi)方極樂(le)世界(jie)諸菩薩、阿(a)(a)(a)羅漢等所居住的凈土,應起(qi)立面(mian)向西(xi)(xi)方,即對日落之處,恭敬地行禮,稱念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)陀佛。”
阿難即(ji)刻從座位(wei)上站(zhan)起來(lai),面向西方(fang);合掌行禮而(er)發愿(yuan)道:我(wo)現(xian)在(zai)(zai)愿(yuan)見極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)的(de)(de)阿彌(mi)陀佛,供養伺奉阿彌(mi)陀佛,并以此積累福(fu)德。正行禮之間,忽見阿彌(mi)陀佛。阿彌(mi)陀佛臉(lian)面極(ji)其廣大,面容相貌端莊威嚴(yan),如黃(huang)金(jin)的(de)(de)山,高高地(di)出現(xian)在(zai)(zai)一切(qie)諸世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)上空,又聽聞到十方(fang)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)的(de)(de)諸佛如來(lai),都在(zai)(zai)稱揚贊嘆阿彌(mi)陀佛的(de)(de)種(zhong)種(zhong)功(gong)德,天(tian)地(di)之間無處不(bu)回(hui)響著這美好的(de)(de)聲音(yin),久久不(bu)斷。”
阿難(nan)稟白說:“今(jin)見(jian)西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie),得見(jian)所未見(jian),聞(wen)所未聞(wen)的奇跡,我也愿意高興地往(wang)生于那(nei)里。”世(shi)尊(zun)告訴(su)他說:“西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie)的往(wang)生者,過去曾供養伺奉無量諸佛(fo),積累了各種福德善(shan)根(gen),你想(xiang)往(wang)生那(nei)里,就應當一心一意地歸依和瞻仰(yang)阿彌陀佛(fo)。”
說(shuo)這(zhe)(zhe)話的(de)時候,阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)即在(zai)手掌中(zhong)放出(chu)無量(liang)的(de)光(guang),普(pu)照(zhao)一切(qie)(qie)諸佛(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)。這(zhe)(zhe)時候,諸佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)皆全(quan)部顯(xian)現出(chu)來(lai),只在(zai)咫尺之間。因為阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)無比(bi)的(de)光(guang)明(ming)極其(qi)清凈的(de)緣(yuan)故(gu),把這(zhe)(zhe)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)所(suo)有的(de)黑山、雪山、金剛山、鐵圍(wei)山等大(da)大(da)小小的(de)山,把這(zhe)(zhe)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)所(suo)有的(de)江(jiang)河、叢林(lin)、天人宮殿(dian)等等一切(qie)(qie)境界(jie),全(quan)都(dou)照(zhao)現出(chu)來(lai)。譬如太陽升(sheng)起在(zai)空中(zhong),光(guang)明(ming)普(pu)照(zhao)世(shi)(shi)間,乃至照(zhao)遍地獄、溪(xi)谷等幽暗(an)之處。這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)幽暗(an)之處全(quan)都(dou)開(kai)明(ming)盡現,世(shi)(shi)上一切(qie)(qie)事物(wu)無不顯(xian)出(chu)金色(se)光(guang)芒。猶如劫水彌(mi)漫于世(shi)(shi)界(jie),其(qi)中(zhong)的(de)萬物(wu)沉沒(mei)不現,無邊無際唯(wei)見大(da)水。阿(a)彌(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)的(de)光(guang)明(ming)亦(yi)是這(zhe)(zhe)樣(yang)。聲聞、菩(pu)薩(sa)的(de)一切(qie)(qie)光(guang)明(ming),全(quan)都(dou)隱蔽不現,惟見佛(fo)(fo)光(guang)明(ming)耀顯(xian)赫。
在(zai)此聚會的(de)四眾(zhong)弟子,天龍(long)八(ba)部(bu)、人(ren)(ren)非人(ren)(ren)等(deng),都親眼(yan)看見了極樂世界的(de)種種莊嚴之(zhi)象。阿彌(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)坐(zuo)在(zai)他(ta)的(de)高座上(shang),威嚴肅穆,功德巍(wei)巍(wei),瑞相光(guang)明,與(yu)天地齊(qi)。聲聞、菩(pu)薩弟子恭恭敬敬地圍繞(rao)在(zai)他(ta)身邊。譬(pi)如須彌(mi)山王升起于海面,光(guang)明照(zhao)耀,清(qing)凈安穩,沒有雜染(ran)污穢,以及異形物類,只(zhi)有各種寶物莊嚴修飾,只(zhi)有圣人(ren)(ren)與(yu)賢者相居(ju)共住(zhu)。阿難(nan)及諸菩(pu)薩眾(zhong)等(deng)皆心生大(da)歡(huan)喜,歡(huan)呼雀躍,五體投地恭行(xing)大(da)禮(li),口中稱念南(nan)無阿彌(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)。
諸(zhu)天界(jie)人民(min)(min),以(yi)(yi)至飛蠅爬蟲(chong),凡(fan)見到(dao)阿彌陀佛(fo)光明(ming)者,所(suo)有的(de)疾病痛苦(ku),莫不消失(shi),一切的(de)憂愁(chou)煩(fan)惱(nao),無(wu)不解脫。人人都生發(fa)出慈善之心,人人都感到(dao)歡(huan)喜快(kuai)樂(le)(le)。鐘磬琴瑟、箜篌(hou)樂(le)(le)器,不鼓不彈不吹不奏便自然(ran)地發(fa)出音樂(le)(le)。諸(zhu)佛(fo)國中諸(zhu)天人民(min)(min)各各手持鮮花(hua)、供(gong)香,來到(dao)虛空之中散下,以(yi)(yi)此供(gong)養佛(fo)世尊。那時(shi),極樂(le)(le)世界(jie)雖遠在西方百千俱胝那由他國度之外,以(yi)(yi)佛(fo)的(de)威(wei)力現出奇跡,如(ru)在眼前對(dui)面(mian)。又(you)如(ru)同(tong)以(yi)(yi)天眼觀看咫(zhi)尺(chi)以(yi)(yi)外的(de)地方,自然(ran)無(wu)不清(qing)晰明(ming)見。極樂(le)(le)世界(jie)上(shang)的(de)圣眾看娑(suo)婆世界(jie)也同(tong)娑(suo)婆世異眾生看他們一樣清(qing)晰明(ming)白,他們又(you)都能看到(dao)娑(suo)婆世界(jie)上(shang)的(de)釋迦(jia)牟(mou)尼佛(fo),以(yi)(yi)及眾比(bi)丘。眾比(bi)丘圍繞釋迦(jia)如(ru)來,正在演說此《大乘無(wu)量壽莊嚴(yan)清(qing)凈平(ping)等(deng)覺經》。
【原文】爾(er)時佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告阿(a)難(nan),及慈氏菩薩:汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世界(jie),宮(gong)(gong)殿(dian)(dian)樓閣,泉池林(lin)樹,具足微妙清凈(jing)莊嚴(yan)否?汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)欲(yu)界(jie)諸天(tian)(tian),上至(zhi)(zhi)色究竟天(tian)(tian),雨諸香華,遍佛(fo)(fo)(fo)剎否?阿(a)難(nan)對(dui)曰(yue):唯然(ran)(ran)已(yi)(yi)見(jian)(jian)(jian)。汝聞(wen)阿(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)(fo)大音(yin)宣布一(yi)切世界(jie),化(hua)(hua)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)否?阿(a)難(nan)對(dui)曰(yue):唯然(ran)(ran)已(yi)(yi)聞(wen)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)言:汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)(bi)(bi)國(guo)凈(jing)行之眾(zhong)(zhong),游處(chu)虛(xu)(xu)空,宮(gong)(gong)殿(dian)(dian)隨身,無所(suo)障礙,遍至(zhi)(zhi)十方供養諸佛(fo)(fo)(fo)否?及見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)(bi)(bi)等念佛(fo)(fo)(fo)相續否?復有眾(zhong)(zhong)鳥住(zhu)虛(xu)(xu)空界(jie),出種(zhong)種(zhong)音(yin),皆(jie)是化(hua)(hua)作,汝悉見(jian)(jian)(jian)否?慈氏白言:如佛(fo)(fo)(fo)所(suo)說,一(yi)一(yi)皆(jie)見(jian)(jian)(jian)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告彌(mi)(mi)勒:彼(bi)(bi)(bi)國(guo)人民有胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)者,汝復見(jian)(jian)(jian)否?彌(mi)(mi)勒白言:世尊,我見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世界(jie)人住(zhu)胎(tai)者,如夜(ye)摩天(tian)(tian),處(chu)于宮(gong)(gong)殿(dian)(dian)。又見(jian)(jian)(jian)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),于蓮華內(nei)結(jie)跏趺(fu)坐,自然(ran)(ran)化(hua)(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)。何因緣故(gu),彼(bi)(bi)(bi)國(guo)人民,有胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)者,有化(hua)(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者?
【譯文】那(nei)時候,釋迦牟尼問阿難以(yi)及慈氏菩(pu)薩道:“你們看(kan)見極樂世界(jie)的(de)宮殿、樓閣、泉(quan)池、林樹是(shi)否(fou)十分微妙和清凈莊(zhuang)嚴?你們看(kan)見欲界(jie)諸(zhu)天(tian)(tian),上至色究竟天(tian)(tian),降(jiang)香花(hua)之雨,那(nei)花(hua)遍散十方(fang)佛國凈土(tu)了(le)嗎?”
阿難(nan)回答說(shuo):“都(dou)看見了。”
釋迦牟(mou)尼佛又問:“你們聽到(dao)阿彌陀佛以他宏大的聲(sheng)音宣布(bu),他將(jiang)于一切世界來化(hua)度眾生了嗎?”
阿(a)難回答說:“都聽(ting)到(dao)了。”
釋迦牟尼(ni)佛又說:“你(ni)們(men)看見極樂(le)世界清凈修行的圣眾遨游虛空之中了(le)嗎?他(ta)(ta)們(men)所(suo)居的宮殿隨在(zai)(zai)身(shen)后,他(ta)(ta)們(men)飛到(dao)哪兒宮殿也(ye)跟到(dao)哪兒,竟然沒有任何障礙。你(ni)們(men)看見他(ta)(ta)們(men)如此這般地飛遍(bian)十方世界去供養(yang)諸佛了(le)嗎?你(ni)們(men)看到(dao)他(ta)(ta)們(men)在(zai)(zai)不(bu)斷念(nian)佛嗎?各種鳥在(zai)(zai)虛空中啼叫,發出種種聲音,都(dou)是阿彌陀(tuo)佛的變化所(suo)為,你(ni)們(men)全(quan)看出來了(le)嗎?”
彌勒菩(pu)薩答(da)道:“如(ru)佛所說,我們都一一看(kan)見了。”
釋迦牟尼佛又(you)向彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩發問道:“西方極樂世(shi)界(jie)的人(ren)民(min)中暫的是胎生(sheng)的,你看(kan)清楚了嗎?”
彌勒菩薩回答說:“世(shi)尊,我看(kan)見極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)有胎生的人(ren),猶如夜摩天人(ren)在宮殿中。又還看(kan)見眾生于蓮花(hua)內(nei)結跏跌坐而自然化(hua)生。但這是什么因緣造成(cheng)西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)有胎生者(zhe)和化(hua)生者(zhe)兩種眾生的呢?”
【原文】佛告慈氏:若有(you)(you)(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),以疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)心修諸(zhu)功德(de),愿(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)國(guo)(guo)。不(bu)了(le)佛智(zhi)、不(bu)思(si)議智(zhi)、不(bu)可稱智(zhi)、大(da)(da)乘廣智(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)(wu)等(deng)(deng)無(wu)(wu)(wu)倫最上勝(sheng)智(zhi),于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)此(ci)諸(zhu)智(zhi),疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)不(bu)信(xin)(xin)。猶(you)(you)信(xin)(xin)罪福,修習善(shan)本,愿(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)其(qi)(qi)(qi)國(guo)(guo)。復(fu)有(you)(you)(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),積集善(shan)根(gen),希求佛智(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)(wu)等(deng)(deng)智(zhi)、威德(de)廣大(da)(da)不(bu)思(si)議智(zhi)。于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)自(zi)(zi)善(shan)根(gen),不(bu)能生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)信(xin)(xin)。故于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)往(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)清凈佛國(guo)(guo),意(yi)志(zhi)猶(you)(you)豫,無(wu)(wu)(wu)所專據。然(ran)猶(you)(you)續念不(bu)絕(jue)。結其(qi)(qi)(qi)善(shan)愿(yuan)為本,續得往(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。是諸(zhu)人(ren)等(deng)(deng),以此(ci)因緣,雖生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)國(guo)(guo),不(bu)能前(qian)至(zhi)(zhi)無(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)(shou)所。道止佛國(guo)(guo)界邊,七寶城(cheng)中(zhong)。佛不(bu)使爾,身行(xing)所作,心自(zi)(zi)趣向。亦有(you)(you)(you)寶池蓮華,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)受身。飲(yin)食快樂,如(ru)忉利天。于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)城(cheng)中(zhong),不(bu)能得出。所居舍(she)宅在地,不(bu)能隨(sui)意(yi)高(gao)大(da)(da)。于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)五百歲(sui)(sui),常(chang)不(bu)見佛,不(bu)聞(wen)經法(fa),不(bu)見菩薩(sa)聲聞(wen)圣(sheng)眾。其(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)智(zhi)慧(hui)不(bu)明,知(zhi)經復(fu)少。心不(bu)開解(jie),意(yi)不(bu)歡樂。是故于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)彼(bi)謂之胎生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。若有(you)(you)(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),明信(xin)(xin)佛智(zhi),乃至(zhi)(zhi)勝(sheng)智(zhi),斷除疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo),信(xin)(xin)己善(shan)根(gen),作諸(zhu)功德(de),至(zhi)(zhi)心回向。皆于(yu)(yu)(yu)(yu)七寶華中(zhong),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),跏趺而(er)坐。須臾之頃(qing),身相(xiang)光明,智(zhi)慧(hui)功德(de),如(ru)諸(zhu)菩薩(sa),具足(zu)成就。彌勒當知(zhi),彼(bi)化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者,智(zhi)慧(hui)勝(sheng)故。其(qi)(qi)(qi)胎生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者,五百歲(sui)(sui)中(zhong),不(bu)見三寶,不(bu)知(zhi)菩薩(sa)法(fa)式(shi),不(bu)得修習功德(de),無(wu)(wu)(wu)因奉事(shi)無(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)(shou)佛。當知(zhi)此(ci)人(ren),宿世(shi)之時,無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)智(zhi)慧(hui),疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)所致(zhi)。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo)告訴彌勒(le)菩薩道:“比如有(you)的(de)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)用疑(yi)惑的(de)態度去修(xiu)種種功德(de),愿往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西(xi)(xi)方極樂世界(jie)(jie),他(ta)們不(bu)(bu)(bu)理(li)解佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)思議(yi)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、大(da)乘(cheng)廣智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無等(deng)(deng)無倫最上勝智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)的(de)奧妙,對(dui)(dui)于這些佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)持(chi)懷疑(yi)而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)信的(de)態度,不(bu)(bu)(bu)過他(ta)們還(huan)相(xiang)信五(wu)(wu)逆十(shi)惡等(deng)(deng)重罪以(yi)及(ji)五(wu)(wu)戒十(shi)善(shan)等(deng)(deng)福業,能造成(cheng)因(yin)(yin)果報應,因(yin)(yin)而(er)修(xiu)習為善(shan)功德(de),愿往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)極樂世界(jie)(jie);還(huan)有(you)的(de)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),積累功德(de)善(shan)根(gen),希望(wang)求得佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、普遍(bian)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無等(deng)(deng)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、威德(de)廣大(da)不(bu)(bu)(bu)思議(yi)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),但對(dui)(dui)自己(ji)的(de)善(shan)根(gen)卻(que)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能堅(jian)定信心(xin)(xin),因(yin)(yin)此(ci),對(dui)(dui)于是(shi)否能往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西(xi)(xi)方極樂世界(jie)(jie),意志猶豫而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)堅(jian)定,對(dui)(dui)于自修(xiu)善(shan)根(gen),尚不(bu)(bu)(bu)能一心(xin)(xin)信奉,因(yin)(yin)而(er)對(dui)(dui)于往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)凈土,只(zhi)是(shi)半信半疑(yi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能一心(xin)(xin)專(zhuan)念,但他(ta)畢竟能夠繼續念佛(fo)(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)絕,以(yi)念佛(fo)(fo)力(li)結成(cheng)其往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)極樂世界(jie)(jie)的(de)善(shan)愿,以(yi)發(fa)愿力(li)為依據,仍得以(yi)往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西(xi)(xi)方極樂世界(jie)(jie)。
“上(shang)述二(er)類人,以(yi)(yi)他們的(de)因緣雖得(de)(de)(de)以(yi)(yi)往生西方極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)(jie),但不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)到達無量壽(shou)佛(fo)的(de)住(zhu)所(suo)。他們往生的(de)路只到極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)(jie)邊(bian)界(jie)(jie)上(shang)的(de)七(qi)寶(bao)城(cheng)中,這并(bing)不(bu)(bu)(bu)是阿彌陀佛(fo)造成的(de)。能(neng)否到達佛(fo)地(di)取(qu)(qu)決(jue)(jue)于(yu)他們自身的(de)行為,取(qu)(qu)決(jue)(jue)于(yu)他們的(de)內心取(qu)(qu)向。也有犯有疑(yi)(yi)惑的(de)往生者從寶(bao)池蓮花中自然受身,這些(xie)往生到邊(bian)界(jie)(jie)疑(yi)(yi)城(cheng)中的(de)眾生,飲(yin)食方面的(de)快樂(le)有如(ru)忉(dao)利天,但其在(zai)七(qi)寶(bao)城(cheng)中不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)得(de)(de)(de)以(yi)(yi)外出(chu),只能(neng)居住(zhu)在(zai)平地(di)住(zhu)宅中,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)像(xiang)其他極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)(jie)的(de)圣(sheng)眾那樣隨(sui)意上(shang)升虛空。在(zai)五百年之(zhi)中,不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)見到阿彌陀佛(fo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)聽聞佛(fo)說(shuo)經法(fa),不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)見到菩薩、聲(sheng)聞圣(sheng)眾。這些(xie)人雖有小智而(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)明達,對于(yu)佛(fo)法(fa)經典又知之(zhi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)多,心靈不(bu)(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)(de)開解,精神不(bu)(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)(de)歡樂(le),所(suo)以(yi)(yi)邊(bian)地(di)疑(yi)(yi)城(cheng)中稱這些(xie)人為‘胎(tai)生’。
“也有(you)眾(zhong)生(sheng)明確地(di)(di)信(xin)奉佛(fo)(fo)智、乃至勝(sheng)智,斷除對(dui)佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)所有(you)疑惑;同(tong)時也堅信(xin)自己的(de)(de)善根(gen),從而(er)作諸(zhu)功德善事(shi),全心全意地(di)(di)回向(xiang)凈(jing)土(tu),這些(xie)(xie)(xie)眾(zhong)生(sheng)便全都得(de)于七寶(bao)蓮(lian)花中自然化(hua)(hua)生(sheng),結跏趺而(er)坐。片(pian)刻之間,身相形貌放射光明,其(qi)人智慧(hui)功德,具足如同(tong)諸(zhu)菩薩(sa)。彌勒你(ni)應當知(zhi)道,這些(xie)(xie)(xie)化(hua)(hua)生(sheng)者之所以得(de)化(hua)(hua)生(sheng),是(shi)他們的(de)(de)智慧(hui)超(chao)過上述胎生(sheng)者。胎生(sheng)者,在五百年中不(bu)得(de)見(jian)(jian)佛(fo)(fo)法僧三寶(bao),不(bu)得(de)見(jian)(jian)菩薩(sa)作法儀式,不(bu)得(de)修習功德,不(bu)能得(de)到奉事(shi)無量(liang)壽佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)條件。應當知(zhi)道,這是(shi)因為這些(xie)(xie)(xie)人在前世的(de)(de)時候(hou),沒(mei)有(you)智慧(hui)而(er)心生(sheng)疑惑所造成。”
