【原文】其智宏深,譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)巨海;菩(pu)提高廣,喻若(ruo)(ruo)須彌;自身(shen)威光,超于日(ri)月;其心潔白,猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)雪山;忍辱如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)地,一切(qie)平等(deng);清(qing)凈(jing)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)水,洗諸塵垢(gou);熾盛如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)火,燒煩(fan)惱(nao)薪;不(bu)(bu)(bu)著如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)風,無(wu)諸障(zhang)礙。法音雷震,覺未覺故(gu);雨甘露法,潤眾(zhong)生(sheng)故(gu);曠若(ruo)(ruo)虛(xu)空,大(da)慈等(deng)故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)凈(jing)蓮華,離染污故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)尼拘樹,覆蔭大(da)故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)金剛杵,破邪執故(gu);如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵(tie)圍山,眾(zhong)魔外(wai)道(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)動故(gu)。其心正直,善(shan)巧決定(ding);論法無(wu)厭(yan),求法不(bu)(bu)(bu)倦(juan);戒(jie)若(ruo)(ruo)琉(liu)璃,內外(wai)明(ming)潔;其所(suo)言說,令眾(zhong)悅服。擊(ji)法鼓,建法幢(chuang),曜慧日(ri),破癡暗。淳凈(jing)溫和(he),寂定(ding)明(ming)察(cha)。為(wei)大(da)導師,調伏(fu)自他(ta)。引導群生(sheng),舍(she)諸愛著。永離三垢(gou),游戲神通。因緣愿力,出生(sheng)善(shan)根。摧伏(fu)一切(qie)魔軍,尊重奉事(shi)諸佛。為(wei)世明(ming)燈,最勝福(fu)田,殊勝吉(ji)祥(xiang),堪受供養。赫奕歡喜(xi),雄猛無(wu)畏(wei)。身(shen)色相好,功德辯才,具(ju)足(zu)莊(zhuang)嚴,無(wu)與等(deng)者(zhe)。常(chang)為(wei)諸佛所(suo)共稱贊。究竟(jing)菩(pu)薩諸波羅蜜,而常(chang)安住不(bu)(bu)(bu)生(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)滅諸三摩地。行遍道(dao)場,遠二乘境。阿難,我今略說彼極(ji)樂界,所(suo)生(sheng)菩(pu)薩,真實(shi)功德,悉皆(jie)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是。若(ruo)(ruo)廣說者(zhe),百(bai)千萬(wan)劫不(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)窮盡。
【譯文】極樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie)菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)智慧(hui)(hui)宏(hong)(hong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)深(shen)廣(guang),猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)大(da)(da)(da)(da)海(hai);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)菩(pu)(pu)提覺(jue)悟的(de)(de)(de)高廣(guang)宏(hong)(hong)大(da)(da)(da)(da),有如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)妙高山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)自身顯發的(de)(de)(de)威嚴之光(guang),超過了太陽(yang)和月(yue)亮;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)心境(jing)的(de)(de)(de)潔凈無(wu)(wu)垢(gou),又像那潔白的(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)(da)雪山(shan);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)忍受侮(wu)辱(ru)的(de)(de)(de)精神,與(yu)那默默承負一切重荷(he)的(de)(de)(de)大(da)(da)(da)(da)地(di)一樣:大(da)(da)(da)(da)地(di)載物(wu)不(bu)分輕重,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)度人也(ye)不(bu)分親(qin)疏;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)清(qing)凈境(jing)界(jie)(jie),可(ke)與(yu)除(chu)塵洗垢(gou)的(de)(de)(de)清(qing)水相比:清(qing)水溪流可(ke)洗世(shi)塵,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)清(qing)凈可(ke)洗心塵;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)智慧(hui)(hui)熾(chi)盛(sheng),如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)火焰:智慧(hui)(hui)之火燒盡煩惱之薪柴;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)不(bu)執著的(de)(de)(de)品性如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)同(tong)大(da)(da)(da)(da)風(feng):風(feng)拂世(shi)界(jie)(jie),無(wu)(wu)所不(bu)到,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)行遍世(shi)界(jie)(jie),自由自在而無(wu)(wu)所障礙;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)宣講傳布(bu)的(de)(de)(de)佛法大(da)(da)(da)(da)音(yin),加(jia)同(tong)雷聲遠達,震醒了世(shi)間癡迷(mi)而未覺(jue)悟之人;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)教法猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)甘露:甘露滋(zi)潤(run)大(da)(da)(da)(da)地(di)萬(wan)物(wu),佛法滋(zi)潤(run)眾(zhong)生(sheng)心靈;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)平等慈(ci)悲(bei)猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)虛(xu)空:虛(xu)空廣(guang)大(da)(da)(da)(da)無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)無(wu)(wu)際,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)慈(ci)悲(bei)也(ye)無(wu)(wu)邊(bian)無(wu)(wu)際蔭庇眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)品格猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)白蓮:蓮花(hua)不(bu)離(li)污(wu)泥但(dan)又出污(wu)泥而不(bu)染,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)不(bu)舍眾(zhong)生(sheng),但(dan)身處(chu)濁世(shi)穢土而仍然清(qing)凈;菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)胸懷猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)尼(ni)枸(gou)樹:尼(ni)枸(gou)樹寬闊(kuo)而遮陽(yang)蔽日,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)胸懷也(ye)能蔭庇眾(zhong)生(sheng);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)銳利猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)金剛杵(chu):金剛杵(chu)能摧毀一切鎧甲,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)般若妙智也(ye)能退;切煩惱魔軍(jun);菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)(men)(men)(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)堅(jian)強(qiang)猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵(tie)圍山(shan):鐵(tie)圍山(shan)堅(jian)固不(bu)為(wei)一切所摧,菩(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)的(de)(de)(de)堅(jian)強(qiang),也(ye)不(bu)為(wei)眾(zhong)魔外道(dao)所動(dong)搖。
極(ji)樂世界(jie)菩(pu)薩(sa)之心(xin),方廣(guang)平正;順遂機宜(yi),巧行權便(bian),講論佛經從不(bu)生厭,追求(qiu)佛法不(bu)知(zhi)疲倦;持戒(jie)凈(jing)潔,譬如(ru)(ru)琉(liu)璃清徹;心(xin)意行動,光明(ming)(ming)(ming)磊落(luo),明(ming)(ming)(ming)鑒表(biao)里;菩(pu)薩(sa)們所說之法,使大(da)家心(xin)悅誠服;法音震響,猶(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)擊鼓;威(wei)德摧邪,猶(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)建(jian)法之幢;智慧照迷(mi),猶(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)燦爛太陽。破除無明(ming)(ming)(ming)造成(cheng)的癡(chi)惑,建(jian)成(cheng)無貪無求(qiu)的淳靜心(xin)境(jing);其禪(chan)定智慧溫(wen)和,纖毫明(ming)(ming)(ming)察,能入實(shi)際之理體。作為大(da)導師,調(diao)伏抑(yi)制自己和他人的不(bu)安之心(xin)。引(yin)導群生,舍離(li)拋棄(qi)諸多愛欲物著,永(yong)遠離(li)開(kai)貪、瞋(chen)、癡(chi)三種污垢,運任(ren)游戲于神通之中。
極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界的菩(pu)薩們(men)(men)因(yin)(yin)為(wei)過去所修之善的因(yin)(yin)緣力(li),積累功德生出牢不可(ke)破的堅固善心(xin),摧毀和降伏一(yi)切惡魔大(da)軍(jun)。尊重待奉諸(zhu)佛;成(cheng)(cheng)為(wei)照耀世(shi)界的明(ming)燈;得世(shi)間(jian)眾生供養,成(cheng)(cheng)為(wei)世(shi)間(jian)眾生最好(hao)的福田。菩(pu)薩們(men)(men)具有(you)文殊大(da)士那樣(yang)的智(zhi)德,堪受一(yi)切有(you)情供養。他(ta)們(men)(men)威光顯赫(he),神采奕奕,面(mian)貌和悅,內心(xin)歡喜,雄健(jian)勇猛(meng),無(wu)(wu)畏無(wu)(wu)懼,其(qi)音容相貌非同一(yi)般(ban),又有(you)無(wu)(wu)量的功德和無(wu)(wu)礙的雄辯才能莊嚴其(qi)身,如此種種,實在找不到能與之媲(pi)美的了。
“西(xi)方(fang)極樂世界的(de)菩薩(sa)們時時得到諸佛的(de)共(gong)同稱贊,他們探(tan)究完(wan)成諸菩薩(sa)該修(xiu)的(de)覺悟(wu),而永遠(yuan)(yuan)處于不生不滅的(de)涅盤正(zheng)定的(de)狀態(tai),在一切道場中(zhong)遍修(xiu)所有功(gong)行,遠(yuan)(yuan)遠(yuan)(yuan)超離聲聞、緣覺二乘的(de)境界。阿難!我現在只是略略提一下,那極樂世界中(zhong)菩薩(sa)們的(de)真實功(gong)德,大體(ti)上(shang)如我以上(shang)所說,但若要廣泛和(he)詳細地介紹,即使(shi)說上(shang)百千萬個時劫(jie)也難以說完(wan)呢!”
【原文】佛告彌勒(le)菩薩、諸天人等:無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)國,聲聞(wen)菩薩,功德智(zhi)慧,不(bu)(bu)可稱說。又(you)其(qi)國土(tu)微妙安樂,清(qing)(qing)凈(jing)若(ruo)此。何(he)不(bu)(bu)力為善,念(nian)道(dao)之自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)。出入供(gong)養(yang),觀經行道(dao)。喜樂久習(xi),才猛智(zhi)慧。心(xin)不(bu)(bu)中(zhong)回,意無(wu)(wu)(wu)懈(xie)時。外若(ruo)遲緩,內(nei)獨駛急。容(rong)容(rong)虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),適(shi)得(de)其(qi)中(zhong)。中(zhong)表相應,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)嚴整。檢斂端(duan)直(zhi),身心(xin)潔凈(jing)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)愛貪(tan),志(zhi)愿安定。無(wu)(wu)(wu)增缺減,求(qiu)(qiu)道(dao)和正。不(bu)(bu)誤傾邪(xie),隨經約令。不(bu)(bu)敢蹉跌,若(ruo)于繩(sheng)墨。咸為道(dao)慕,曠無(wu)(wu)(wu)他(ta)念(nian)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)憂(you)思,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)無(wu)(wu)(wu)為。虛(xu)(xu)空(kong)無(wu)(wu)(wu)立,淡安無(wu)(wu)(wu)欲。作得(de)善愿,盡心(xin)求(qiu)(qiu)索。含(han)哀(ai)慈(ci)愍(min),禮(li)義都合。苞羅表里,過度(du)解脫。自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)保守,真真潔白。志(zhi)愿無(wu)(wu)(wu)上(shang),凈(jing)定安樂。一旦開達明徹,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)中(zhong)自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)相,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)之有(you)(you)(you)根本,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)光(guang)色參(can)回,轉(zhuan)變最(zui)勝。郁單成(cheng)七寶,橫攬成(cheng)萬物。光(guang)精明俱(ju)出,善好殊(shu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)比。著(zhu)于無(wu)(wu)(wu)上(shang)下,洞達無(wu)(wu)(wu)邊際(ji)。宜各勤精進,努(nu)力自(zi)求(qiu)(qiu)之。必得(de)超絕去,往(wang)生(sheng)無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)清(qing)(qing)凈(jing)阿彌陀(tuo)佛國。橫截于五(wu)趣(qu),惡道(dao)自(zi)閉塞。無(wu)(wu)(wu)極(ji)之勝道(dao),易往(wang)而(er)無(wu)(wu)(wu)人。其(qi)國不(bu)(bu)逆違,自(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)所牽隨。捐志(zhi)若(ruo)虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),勤行求(qiu)(qiu)道(dao)德。可得(de)極(ji)長(chang)生(sheng),壽(shou)樂無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)(you)極(ji)。何(he)為著(zhu)世事,譊(nao)譊(nao)憂(you)無(wu)(wu)(wu)常。
【譯文】釋(shi)加牟尼佛又(you)轉而對(dui)彌勒菩(pu)薩和諸在座的(de)天人等說道:“無量壽佛國(guo)(guo)中的(de)聲聞、菩(pu)薩功(gong)德(de)智慧無量,是沒有辦(ban)法(fa)表述得(de)清的(de)。還有,其國(guo)(guo)土(tu)如此微妙,安樂和清凈(jing)(jing)(jing),你(ni)們為什么不勉(mian)力行(xing)善(shan),又(you)以所(suo)積累的(de)善(shan)功(gong)德(de)回向凈(jing)(jing)(jing)土(tu),自然(ran)生(sheng)(sheng)發(fa)往生(sheng)(sheng)凈(jing)(jing)(jing)土(tu)之念(nian)(nian),由念(nian)(nian)引導而往生(sheng)(sheng)極樂世界呢?
“極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)菩(pu)薩(sa)、聲聞(wen)等會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong),出(chu)(chu)入于(yu)(yu)十(shi)方世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)供養諸佛,閱讀藏經,修行佛事,皆(jie)樂(le)于(yu)(yu)長(chang)久如(ru)(ru)此(ci)。他(ta)(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)才能(neng)(neng)超世(shi)(shi)(shi),智慧圓融,心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)退轉的(de)(de)(de)念(nian)頭(tou),意(yi)志沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)片刻懈怠放(fang)逸;外表看去(qu)安(an)(an)閑(xian)沉穩,內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)卻急速地(di)精進不(bu)(bu)(bu)已。心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)同于(yu)(yu)虛(xu)空,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)一(yi)物(wu)而(er)又(you)能(neng)(neng)容(rong)下萬(wan)物(wu),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際而(er)又(you)能(neng)(neng)建立凈土,非(fei)空非(fei)有(you)(you),適(shi)得不(bu)(bu)(bu)落(luo)兩邊(bian)的(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)道(dao)。聲聞(wen)、菩(pu)薩(sa)們適(shi)得中(zhong)道(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),顯示在(zai)表情(qing)上,表里相映(ying)煥然(ran)成(cheng)輝,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)而(er)又(you)嚴整;檢(jian)束(shu)身體的(de)(de)(de)姿態表情(qing),收斂心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)思維意(yi)念(nian);外表端莊,內心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)正直,身心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)潔(jie)(jie)凈,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)愛欲貪染(ran);他(ta)(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)志向誓愿(yuan),堅(jian)定(ding)(ding)不(bu)(bu)(bu)移而(er)無些微缺減(jian);他(ta)(ta)們所(suo)追(zhui)求(qiu)的(de)(de)(de)大道(dao),平和中(zhong)正,永不(bu)(bu)(bu)會(hui)誤入狹路以(yi)至邪道(dao);他(ta)(ta)們隨(sui)順經中(zhong)言(yan)和戒律,自(zi)(zi)(zi)覺接受約束(shu)規(gui)定(ding)(ding),不(bu)(bu)(bu)敢放(fang)逸而(er)失足逾界(jie)(jie),有(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)木(mu)工操作(zuo)遵循(xun)墨線(xian),循(xun)規(gui)蹈矩;他(ta)(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)所(suo)企慕(mu),皆(jie)是(shi)正真至道(dao),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)其他(ta)(ta)妄念(nian)雜念(nian)拂亂(luan),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)什么憂(you)慮之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)思干擾;他(ta)(ta)們自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)安(an)(an)住于(yu)(yu)無為(wei)法中(zhong),心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)志有(you)(you)如(ru)(ru)虛(xu)空無有(you)(you)一(yi)物(wu),淡泊安(an)(an)寧不(bu)(bu)(bu)染(ran)物(wu)欲;以(yi)此(ci)結成(cheng)大愿(yuan),盡心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)盡力地(di)前去(qu)求(qiu)索。再者(zhe),這些極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)懷慈悲哀憫(min),契合世(shi)(shi)(shi)間道(dao)德,融洽(qia)現(xian)象本質,自(zi)(zi)(zi)度度他(ta)(ta),均得解脫生(sheng)(sheng)死。他(ta)(ta)們任運自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran),保(bao)守本來善性潔(jie)(jie)白無染(ran),志向愿(yuan)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)甚為(wei)高(gao)(gao)尚,住于(yu)(yu)寂定(ding)(ding)而(er)安(an)(an)然(ran)自(zi)(zi)(zi)適(shi),日積(ji)月累,便能(neng)(neng)在(zai)一(yi)旦之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)毫不(bu)(bu)(bu)勉強地(di)契合自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)實相,把握根本的(de)(de)(de)道(dao)理。這些聲聞(wen)、菩(pu)薩(sa)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)如(ru)(ru)同神(shen)奇珍(zhen)寶(bao),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)光(guang)和自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)色相互滲入、回(hui)轉變化(hua),超過十(shi)方的(de)(de)(de)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)寶(bao)。北方大洲自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)生(sheng)(sheng)出(chu)(chu)七寶(bao),橫空中(zhong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)涌現(xian)出(chu)(chu)萬(wan)物(wu),光(guang)明(ming)(ming)、精妙、明(ming)(ming)凈齊(qi)顯并現(xian),諸善眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)好,無與倫比,皆(jie)由(you)極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)會(hui)眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)凈心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)出(chu)(chu)。他(ta)(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)智慧明(ming)(ming)證(zheng)理體無有(you)(you)高(gao)(gao)下,洞達事相沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際。”
釋迦牟(mou)尼佛(fo)介(jie)紹極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)人(ren)(ren)眾的(de)功德智慧,又為喚醒法(fa)會大(da)眾說:“你(ni)們應(ying)各(ge)自精(jing)進(jin)勤修(xiu)(xiu),努力自求真(zhen)如本心,必(bi)得(de)超脫輪(lun)回,斷除(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死,往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)到無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)量清凈(jing)的(de)阿彌陀佛(fo)凈(jing)土。到那時,頓舍娑婆世(shi)界(jie)五道(dao)輪(lun)回,諸多(duo)惡道(dao)之(zhi)門自然(ran)(ran)關閉;這(zhe)凈(jing)土法(fa)門是最勝之(zhi)道(dao),雖然(ran)(ran)易(yi)得(de)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),可(ke)穢土修(xiu)(xiu)行的(de)人(ren)(ren)卻很少。十方(fang)(fang)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)窮極(ji)的(de)眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)得(de)益于佛(fo)國毫無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)逆(ni)違往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)性(xing)質(zhi)(另(ling)一(yi)解釋:西方(fang)(fang)凈(jing)土敞開(kai)大(da)門,攝(she)受接納十方(fang)(fang)一(yi)切眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),然(ran)(ran)而,娑婆眾生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)久在(zai)(zai)煩(fan)惱纏縛之(zhi)中,貪(tan)戀世(shi)樂,不生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)厭離,陷于自身結構性(xing)的(de)困境,焉得(de)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)?)。大(da)家(jia)捐除(chu)煩(fan)惱,其(qi)志應(ying)如虛空,凈(jing)無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)垢染,勤奮修(xiu)(xiu)行,進(jin)道(dao)增(zeng)德,便可(ke)以在(zai)(zai)凈(jing)土獲得(de)長生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)不老,和極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)人(ren)(ren)眾一(yi)樣長壽安樂,生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)有極(ji)限。既如此(ci),為什么還(huan)要貪(tan)著世(shi)間俗事俗利,沒完沒了地(di)憂慮,為世(shi)間無(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)常所折磨呢?”
【原文】世人共爭不(bu)急之(zhi)務(wu),于此劇惡極苦之(zhi)中,勤(qin)身營務(wu),以自給濟。尊卑(bei)、貧(pin)富(fu)、少(shao)長、男女,累(lei)念積慮,為心走使。無田(tian)憂田(tian),無宅(zhai)憂宅(zhai),眷屬財物,有無同憂。有一(yi)少(shao)一(yi),思欲齊等,適(shi)小具有,又憂非常(chang)。水火盜(dao)賊,怨家債主,焚漂劫奪,消(xiao)散(san)磨滅(mie)。心慳意固(gu),無能縱(zong)舍。
命終(zhong)棄捐,莫(mo)誰隨(sui)者。貧(pin)富同然,憂苦萬端(duan)。
世(shi)(shi)間人民,父子兄弟夫婦親屬,當相(xiang)敬愛,無(wu)相(xiang)憎嫉。有(you)(you)無(wu)相(xiang)通,無(wu)得貪惜。言色常和(he),莫(mo)相(xiang)違戾。或時心(xin)諍(zheng),有(you)(you)所恚(hui)怒。后世(shi)(shi)轉劇,至成大怨。世(shi)(shi)間之(zhi)事,更(geng)相(xiang)患害,雖不臨時,應(ying)急想破(po)。
人在愛欲(yu)之中,獨(du)生獨(du)死,獨(du)去(qu)獨(du)來(lai),苦(ku)樂自當(dang),無(wu)有代者。善惡(e)變(bian)化,追逐所(suo)生,道路不同,會(hui)見無(wu)期。何不于強健時(shi),努(nu)力修善,欲(yu)何待乎(hu)?
世人善惡自不(bu)(bu)能見,吉兇禍福(fu),競各作之。身(shen)愚神暗(an),轉受余教。顛倒相(xiang)續,無(wu)常根本。蒙(meng)冥(ming)抵突,不(bu)(bu)信經(jing)法。心無(wu)遠慮,各欲快意。迷于(yu)瞋恚,貪(tan)于(yu)財色(se)。終不(bu)(bu)休止(zhi),哀哉可傷!先(xian)人不(bu)(bu)善,不(bu)(bu)識(shi)道德,無(wu)有語者,殊無(wu)怪也(ye)。
死(si)生之(zhi)趣,善惡之(zhi)道(dao)(dao),都不(bu)之(zhi)信,謂無有是。更相瞻視,且自(zi)見之(zhi)。或父哭(ku)(ku)子(zi),或子(zi)哭(ku)(ku)父,兄(xiong)弟夫(fu)婦,更相哭(ku)(ku)泣。一死(si)一生,迭(die)相顧戀。憂愛結縛(fu),無有解(jie)時(shi)。思想(xiang)恩(en)好(hao),不(bu)離(li)情欲。不(bu)能深思熟計,專精行道(dao)(dao)。年壽旋盡,無可奈(nai)何。
惑道者眾(zhong),悟道者少。各(ge)懷殺毒,惡氣冥冥。為妄興(xing)事,違逆天地。恣意罪極,頓奪(duo)其壽。下入惡道,無有出期。
若曹(cao)當熟思計,遠離眾惡。擇其(qi)善(shan)者,勤而行之。愛欲榮(rong)華,不(bu)可(ke)常保(bao),皆(jie)當別離,無可(ke)樂者。當勤精(jing)進,生安樂國。智慧(hui)明達,功德殊(shu)勝。勿(wu)得隨(sui)心所欲,虧負經戒,在人后也。
【譯文】“世(shi)間的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)們都(dou)在計較(jiao)那瑣(suo)細無益(yi)的(de)(de)世(shi)利俗務,在此苦痛(tong)不(bu)堪的(de)(de)五惡世(shi)間,辛勤勞作(zuo),經營生(sheng)計,以(yi)求(qiu)自給,于苦中(zhong)求(qiu)快(kuai)樂;世(shi)間蕓(yun)蕓(yun)眾生(sheng)中(zhong),無論大人(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu)或(huo)小人(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu),富人(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)窮人(ren)(ren)(ren),少年或(huo)老人(ren)(ren)(ren),男(nan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)女人(ren)(ren)(ren),種(zhong)種(zhong)一切之人(ren)(ren)(ren),都(dou)因為貪欲之念長期累積(ji),處心積(ji)慮(lv)只(zhi)求(qiu)一快(kuai),其實貪欲之心不(bu)過(guo)導致(zhi)奔波(bo)勞碌。沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)田(tian)地的(de)(de)想(xiang)要得(de)田(tian)地,沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)房(fang)屋的(de)(de)想(xiang)要得(de)房(fang)屋,沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)家眷、親屬、妻(qi)室兒(er)女以(yi)及沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)財(cai)物(wu)、產業、珍寶、器物(wu)的(de)(de),也(ye)都(dou)處心積(ji)慮(lv),盤(pan)算(suan)鉆營,必欲據有(you)(you)(you)而后心安(an)。沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)有(you)(you)(you)所憂苦,已有(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)也(ye)不(bu)得(de)安(an)逸。有(you)(you)(you)一些(xie)財(cai)物(wu)反(fan)而欲海難填(tian),希望再多(duo)得(de)一星半(ban)點。有(you)(you)(you)了(le)一件(jian)的(de)(de)覺得(de)一件(jian)太少,有(you)(you)(you)了(le)兩件(jian)的(de)(de)又覺得(de)兩件(jian)還少,欲望和(he)獲取,總(zong)是相(xiang)逐相(xiang)長,沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)止(zhi)境。才(cai)達到小有(you)(you)(you)資產,旋即擔心遭遇(yu)損失;害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)火災焚(fen)燒,害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)水災流漂,害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)盜賊偷竊,害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)土匪劫奪(duo),害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)冤家仇殺(sha),害(hai)怕(pa)(pa)債(zhai)主催逼。憂懼之中(zhong),清凈本心在此消散磨滅。慳吝之心,反(fan)倒越(yue)來越(yue)頑(wan)固,煩惱纏(chan)縛,在泥(ni)坑中(zhong)越(yue)陷越(yue)深。
“世間一切(qie)人命終之時,不(bu)(bu)管你(ni)(ni)有多(duo)少眷屬,積存(cun)了多(duo)少財寶,全部(bu)要舍(she)離(li)拋棄。你(ni)(ni)所鐘愛的物也罷,人也罷,都(dou)不(bu)(bu)會(hui)隨(sui)你(ni)(ni)去那另一世間;即或去到另一世間也不(bu)(bu)能(neng)同你(ni)(ni)在一起。富人和窮人,在此(ci)陰間地下也都(dou)平等(deng)無差,個中憂苦,萬(wan)端無盡。
“世間(jian)的人(ren)民(min)——父子、兄弟(di)、夫婦、親屬(shu),應(ying)當(dang)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)互尊敬(jing)友愛,不(bu)要(yao)(yao)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)互憎恨(hen)與嫉妒(du);應(ying)當(dang)互相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)幫助(zhu)救護(hu),有(you)什(shen)么財物要(yao)(yao)互相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)周濟,不(bu)要(yao)(yao)貪圖吝惜;應(ying)當(dang)說話和(he)氣,和(he)顏(yan)悅色,互尊互敬(jing),不(bu)要(yao)(yao)背逆斗(dou)狠;一時生起(qi)爭訟之心,心里不(bu)免嗔恚(hui)忿怒,惡(e)意愈演愈烈,最終結(jie)(jie)成大(da)恨(hen)深仇;世間(jian)若冤(yuan)冤(yuan)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)報,更會結(jie)(jie)成丈冤(yuan)大(da)孽(nie),兩家(jia)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)爭,雙方都招(zhao)禍害;即(ji)(ji)令有(you)時報應(ying)沒有(you)立即(ji)(ji)顯現,還(huan)以為自己占了上(shang)風(feng),但因果相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)生,從(cong)來不(bu)爽(shuang),惡(e)報只是時間(jian)問題。眾生應(ying)當(dang)想透這個道理而立即(ji)(ji)破除恚(hui)恨(hen),棄惡(e)向善(shan)。
“人(ren)(ren)沉(chen)溺在(zai)情愛(ai)貪欲之(zhi)中,獨(du)身而(er)來,孤獨(du)而(er)死,生無人(ren)(ren)相隨(sui),死無人(ren)(ren)陪伴,苦樂之(zhi)果(guo)(guo)報,都(dou)是自作自受(shou),沒有(you)誰能代(dai)替(ti),也(ye)無人(ren)(ren)可以除(chu)免。善(shan)與惡(e)(e)的(de)循環果(guo)(guo)報千變萬化(hua),追從相隨(sui),直(zhi)到來生來世(shi)。雖是親眷(juan)家屬,善(shan)有(you)善(shan)報,惡(e)(e)有(you)惡(e)(e)報,善(shan)生善(shan)趣(qu),惡(e)(e)降惡(e)(e)道,若積業有(you)差,生處也(ye)就不同,到那時便無從會見,何不趁(chen)此(ci)強健在(zai)世(shi)之(zhi)時,努力修行(xing)善(shan)道,還將等到什么(me)時候?
“世間之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)因為不(bu)(bu)(bu)能夠(gou)認識(shi)什(shen)么(me)是善,什(shen)么(me)是惡(e)(e),各以自己的愚癡,妄(wang)加(jia)分別猜測吉兇禍福(fu),競相造(zao)作(zuo)惡(e)(e)業,身作(zuo)愚行,頭腦中一(yi)片黑暗(an),不(bu)(bu)(bu)信受(shou)經法(fa),反而接(jie)受(shou)其(qi)他的外道邪說。如是的顛倒(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)見(jian),相續不(bu)(bu)(bu)絕,成為生(sheng)死無常輪回的根本動(dong)力,這就(jiu)像蒙(meng)上(shang)眼睛什(shen)么(me)也看不(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian),卻一(yi)味(wei)胡沖亂闖(chuang)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)信受(shou)佛教經法(fa),心(xin)便沒有遠慮,一(yi)心(xin)追(zhui)求于現世之(zhi)(zhi)樂;癡迷于瞋(chen)恚(hui)忿(fen)怒而不(bu)(bu)(bu)自覺,貪(tan)吝財物(wu)女色而以為欣然。肆無忌憚,沒有終了之(zhi)(zhi)時,真正(zheng)悲(bei)哀,實在可(ke)憐(lian)!上(shang)輩愚癡,不(bu)(bu)(bu)知佛道,不(bu)(bu)(bu)懂道德,不(bu)(bu)(bu)對后輩進(jin)行教導,世代惡(e)(e)業相襲,癡頑(wan)無知,世世作(zuo)惡(e)(e)受(shou)報(bao),就(jiu)沒有什(shen)么(me)可(ke)奇怪的了。
“世(shi)間之(zhi)人,對生(sheng)(sheng)死輪回于六道,前(qian)(qian)生(sheng)(sheng)積(ji)善(shan),下世(shi)得(de)善(shan),前(qian)(qian)生(sheng)(sheng)積(ji)惡(e),下世(shi)得(de)惡(e)的規(gui)律(lv),不(bu)能(neng)(neng)相(xiang)信奉受,以為(wei)并沒(mei)有因果報(bao)應。更有甚者,看到(dao)別人死了袖手旁觀,無(wu)動于衷,殊不(bu)知生(sheng)(sheng)死之(zhi)事遲(chi)早必然要落到(dao)自(zi)(zi)己頭上。父子、兄(xiong)弟、夫(fu)婦等親(qin)屬死別之(zhi)時,相(xiang)互哭泣。相(xiang)愛的人生(sheng)(sheng)離(li)死別,一(yi)次次地戀顧難分,恩愛轉(zhuan)化為(wei)憂(you)苦,如結繩(sheng)自(zi)(zi)相(xiang)束縛,哪里(li)還有解脫的時候?思想生(sheng)(sheng)前(qian)(qian)的恩恩愛愛,考慮親(qin)善(shan)友誼,無(wu)不(bu)是(shi)情(qing)欲所支(zhi)配。不(bu)能(neng)(neng)深(shen)思熟慮而(er)專心精勤地修行佛(fo)道,人生(sheng)(sheng)苦短,年壽一(yi)期,轉(zhuan)瞬即盡,衰老來(lai)臨,則一(yi)籌(chou)莫展,徒感無(wu)可奈何!
“世間(jian)對佛(fo)法不(bu)理(li)解而迷惑的人(ren)(ren)多,醒悟(wu)得(de)道(dao)的人(ren)(ren)少,各人(ren)(ren)心(xin)懷殘傷(shang)他人(ren)(ren)的心(xin)念,惡(e)氣(qi)冥冥昏暗,如是造惡(e)之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren)由(you)妄心(xin)興(xing)起各種事端,違背天命,不(bu)顧人(ren)(ren)意,恣意作(zuo)惡(e),惡(e)貫滿盈,頓時之(zhi)(zhi)間(jian)便會奪去陽壽(shou),下墮于(yu)地獄、餓鬼、畜生(sheng)惡(e)道(dao),永無出頭之(zhi)(zhi)期。
“你們應當(dang)(dang)深思(si)熟慮,遠(yuan)遠(yuan)脫離各種惡(e)業(ye),選(xuan)擇(ze)善事,勤苦地修行之(zhi)。富貴榮華不(bu)可能長(chang)久保持,到(dao)時候(hou)都將離你而(er)去。富貴榮華其實也(ye)都是(shi)‘苦’,沒(mei)有(you)什么可稱為‘樂’的。你們應當(dang)(dang)勤奮精(jing)進,求生西方極樂世(shi)(shi)界。得生西方極樂世(shi)(shi)界,則智慧明了通達,功德最大。千萬不(bu)要隨心所欲,虧負(fu)于(yu)經教戒行,落在他(ta)人(ren)之(zhi)后。”
【原文】彌勒白言(yan):佛語教(jiao)戒,甚深(shen)甚善。皆(jie)蒙慈恩,解脫憂苦(ku)(ku)。佛為(wei)法王,尊超(chao)群圣,光(guang)明(ming)(ming)徹照,洞達無(wu)(wu)(wu)極(ji),普為(wei)一(yi)切(qie)天人之(zhi)師(shi)。今得(de)值(zhi)佛,復聞無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)聲,靡(mi)不(bu)歡喜,心得(de)開明(ming)(ming)。佛告彌勒:敬于佛者,是為(wei)大善。實(shi)當念(nian)佛,截斷狐(hu)疑(yi)。拔諸愛欲(yu),杜眾惡(e)源。游步三界,無(wu)(wu)(wu)所(suo)罣礙。開示正(zheng)道(dao),度(du)未度(du)者。若曹當知(zhi)十方人民,永(yong)劫以來,輾轉五道(dao),憂苦(ku)(ku)不(bu)絕。生(sheng)時苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong),老(lao)亦苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong),病極(ji)苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong),死(si)極(ji)苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)。惡(e)臭(chou)不(bu)凈,無(wu)(wu)(wu)可樂者。宜自(zi)(zi)決(jue)斷,洗除心垢。言(yan)行忠信,表里相(xiang)(xiang)應。人能自(zi)(zi)度(du),轉相(xiang)(xiang)拯濟。至心求愿(yuan),積累善本。雖一(yi)世(shi)精進勤苦(ku)(ku),須(xu)臾間耳。后生(sheng)無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)國,快樂無(wu)(wu)(wu)極(ji)。永(yong)拔生(sheng)死(si)之(zhi)本,無(wu)(wu)(wu)復苦(ku)(ku)惱之(zhi)患(huan)。壽(shou)千(qian)萬劫,自(zi)(zi)在(zai)隨意。宜各精進,求心所(suo)愿(yuan)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)得(de)疑(yi)悔,自(zi)(zi)為(wei)過咎,生(sheng)彼(bi)邊(bian)地七寶(bao)城中,于五百歲(sui)受(shou)諸厄也。彌勒白言(yan):受(shou)佛明(ming)(ming)誨(hui),專精修(xiu)學。如教(jiao)奉行,不(bu)敢有(you)疑(yi)。
【譯文】彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩于(yu)是(shi)說(shuo):“佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)說(shuo)了(le)教人修善的法(fa)義,非(fei)常(chang)深刻(ke)非(fei)常(chang)善妙。我等(deng)會眾(zhong)都(dou)蒙佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)慈悲之恩,得(de)聞要津,以(yi)解(jie)脫于(yu)生死憂苦。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)為法(fa)王,超(chao)過(guo)諸天(tian)圣(sheng)人而為至尊,佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)所說(shuo)之法(fa)如(ru)同(tong)光明(ming),澈照十(shi)方,洞(dong)達無(wu)窮。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)是(shi)所有(you)有(you)緣眾(zhong)生的導(dao)師。現在得(de)以(yi)在這里見到(dao)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)并聽聞說(shuo)法(fa),實在難得(de),更難得(de)的是(shi)聽聞到(dao)有(you)關無(wu)量壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)(fo)的聲音,大家沒有(you)一(yi)個不歡欣鼓舞的,我們的心因(yin)此得(de)以(yi)澈悟而明(ming)了(le)真(zhen)諦。”
釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告誨彌勒(le):“恭敬于佛(fo)(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)人(ren),他是有大善之人(ren),應當實實際際地(di)念佛(fo)(fo)(fo),截斷(duan)狐疑猜忌,拔除各(ge)種愛欲,杜絕各(ge)種惡意惡念的(de)(de)源頭,雖然(ran)奔(ben)走(zou)于三界世間(jian)穢(hui)土(tu),卻無(wu)所牽掛,無(wu)所障礙(ai),向(xiang)眾(zhong)生開示講(jiang)演(yan)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)法正(zheng)道(dao)(dao),度(du)化還未(wei)得度(du)化的(de)(de)有情眾(zhong)生。你們應當知(zhi)道(dao)(dao),十(shi)方世界的(de)(de)人(ren)民(min),從無(wu)比久(jiu)遠以來,反(fan)復輾轉(zhuan)、輪(lun)回于天、人(ren)、畜(chu)生、餓鬼和地(di)獄五道(dao)(dao),沉淪生死,憂苦不絕。誕(dan)生之時有‘生苦’之痛,壽終之時有‘死苦’之痛,身體臭惡而不清凈,沒有什么(me)可稱(cheng)為‘快樂’的(de)(de)。應自下決(jue)心(xin),斷(duan)絕惡因,洗濯心(xin)中的(de)(de)污垢,如(ru)言(yan)而行,如(ru)行而言(yan),表里如(ru)一,誠實無(wu)欺(qi)。
“洗(xi)除了(le)污垢而表里如一的(de)人(ren),能(neng)夠自行度脫,由自度轉而拯救濟度他(ta)人(ren)。一心求取往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西方極樂凈(jing)土的(de)大(da)愿,稱(cheng)名念佛,積累善本。雖一生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一世精進修行十分(fen)勤苦,但(dan)這(zhe)一生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)苦,較之(zhi)一個人(ren)的(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)世世,只猶如片刻之(zhi)間。此生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)勤苦,使后世得以往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無量(liang)壽國,享受無窮無盡的(de)快樂,拔除生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死根本惡(e)因,遠(yuan)離苦病煩惱之(zhi)患,壽命長達千萬時劫,自在神通而諸(zhu)事隨心所欲。”
釋迦(jia)牟尼(ni)佛(fo)復喻眾生:“你們(men)應各自精進專修,把往生凈土(tu)的(de)(de)(de)愿望切實地變(bian)為(wei)行(xing)動(dong)。不(bu)要(yao)疑惑,不(bu)要(yao)中(zhong)途(tu)反悔,以免錯(cuo)(cuo)過時機,造成錯(cuo)(cuo)誤罪(zui)行(xing),以至往生時到了西方極樂凈土(tu)的(de)(de)(de)邊地之(zhi)國,在(zai)懷疑佛(fo)智的(de)(de)(de)眾生聚(ju)集的(de)(de)(de)七寶(bao)獄中(zhong),于五(wu)百年的(de)(de)(de)時間內,不(bu)得(de)見佛(fo)、法(fa)、僧三寶(bao),不(bu)得(de)聞諸(zhu)經佛(fo)法(fa),受諸(zhu)不(bu)幸(xing)處罰。”
彌勒菩薩領受(shou)佛(fo)(fo)旨,乃向佛(fo)(fo)言:“今天我(wo)們承受(shou)了(le)佛(fo)(fo)明白完備的教誨,我(wo)等當(dang)專一修行(xing),精(jing)進學(xue)習,按佛(fo)(fo)的教導誠心奉行(xing),不敢生出半點(dian)疑(yi)惑(huo)。”
【原文】佛告彌勒(le):汝等能(neng)于(yu)此(ci)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),端(duan)心(xin)正意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),甚(shen)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)大(da)德(de)。所(suo)(suo)(suo)以者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)何(he)?十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie),善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)多(duo)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)少,易可(ke)開(kai)化(hua)。唯此(ci)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian),最為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)劇苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)。我今于(yu)此(ci)作佛,教化(hua)群生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),令舍五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),去五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong),離五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,降化(hua)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)意,令持五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福(fu)德(de)。何(he)等為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)?其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)一(yi)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)諸眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)類(lei),欲(yu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。強(qiang)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)伏弱(ruo),轉(zhuan)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)克賊,殘害殺傷,迭相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)吞啖,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),后受(shou)殃罰。故有(you)(you)窮(qiong)乞、孤(gu)獨(du)、聾(long)盲、喑(yin)啞(ya)、癡惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、尪狂,皆因前世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信道(dao)(dao)德(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)有(you)(you)尊(zun)貴、豪富(fu)、賢明(ming)(ming)、長(chang)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)、智勇、才達,皆由宿世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)慈孝(xiao),修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)積德(de)所(suo)(suo)(suo)致。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)此(ci)目(mu)前現事,壽終之(zhi)(zhi)后,入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)幽冥。轉(zhuan)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)受(shou)身(shen)(shen)(shen),改形易道(dao)(dao)。故有(you)(you)泥犁、禽(qin)獸、蜎飛蠕動(dong)之(zhi)(zhi)屬(shu)。譬如(ru)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)法牢獄,劇苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)極刑(xing),魂神命精,隨(sui)罪趣(qu)向。所(suo)(suo)(suo)受(shou)壽命,或長(chang)或短(duan),相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)從(cong)共生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),更(geng)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)報償。殃惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)未盡(jin),終不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得離。輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中,累劫(jie)難(nan)出。難(nan)得解(jie)脫(tuo)(tuo),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)(yan)。天(tian)地之(zhi)(zhi)間(jian)(jian),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)有(you)(you)是。雖不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時暴應,善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)會(hui)當(dang)歸(gui)(gui)之(zhi)(zhi)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)二者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順法度。奢淫驕(jiao)縱(zong),任心(xin)自(zi)(zi)(zi)恣。居(ju)上不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming)(ming),在位不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。陷(xian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)冤枉(wang),損害忠良。心(xin)口(kou)各異,機偽多(duo)端(duan)。尊(zun)卑中外,更(geng)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)欺(qi)誑。瞋恚愚(yu)癡,欲(yu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)厚己,欲(yu)貪(tan)多(duo)有(you)(you)。利(li)害勝負,結忿成仇。破家亡身(shen)(shen)(shen),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前后。富(fu)有(you)(you)慳惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯施與(yu)。愛保(bao)貪(tan)重,心(xin)勞身(shen)(shen)(shen)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)。如(ru)是至竟,無(wu)(wu)一(yi)隨(sui)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)禍福(fu),追命所(suo)(suo)(suo)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。或在樂處,或入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)毒(du)。又或見善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)憎(zeng)謗(bang),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思(si)慕及。常懷盜心(xin),悕望他利(li)。用(yong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)供給,消(xiao)散復取。神明(ming)(ming)克識,終入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)。自(zi)(zi)(zi)有(you)(you)三(san)途(tu)無(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中,累劫(jie)難(nan)出,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)三(san)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)因寄生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),壽命幾何(he)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)良之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。常懷邪(xie)(xie)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),常念淫欲(yu)。煩滿胸(xiong)中,邪(xie)(xie)態外逸(yi)。費損家財,事為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)非法。所(suo)(suo)(suo)當(dang)求(qiu)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)。又或交結聚會(hui),興兵相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)伐。攻劫(jie)殺戮,強(qiang)奪迫脅。歸(gui)(gui)給妻子,極身(shen)(shen)(shen)作樂。眾(zhong)(zhong)共憎(zeng)厭,患而苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)之(zhi)(zhi)。如(ru)是之(zhi)(zhi)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),著于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)鬼。神明(ming)(ming)記(ji)識,自(zi)(zi)(zi)入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)三(san)途(tu)。無(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中。累劫(jie)難(nan)出,痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)(yan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)四者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)念修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。兩舌、惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)口(kou)、妄言(yan)(yan)(yan)、綺語(yu)(yu)。憎(zeng)嫉善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),敗(bai)壞賢明(ming)(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)孝(xiao)父母(mu),輕慢師(shi)長(chang)。朋友無(wu)(wu)信,難(nan)得誠(cheng)(cheng)實。尊(zun)貴自(zi)(zi)(zi)大(da),謂己有(you)(you)道(dao)(dao)。橫行(xing)(xing)威(wei)勢,侵易于(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。欲(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)畏敬,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)慚懼(ju)。難(nan)可(ke)降化(hua),常懷驕(jiao)慢。賴其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)前世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),福(fu)德(de)營護。今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),福(fu)德(de)盡(jin)滅。壽命終盡(jin),諸惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)繞歸(gui)(gui)。又其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)名籍,記(ji)在神明(ming)(ming)。殃咎牽引,無(wu)(wu)從(cong)舍離。但得前行(xing)(xing),入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)于(yu)火鑊。身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)摧碎,神形苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)極。當(dang)斯(si)之(zhi)(zhi)時,悔(hui)(hui)復何(he)及。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民(min)徙倚懈(xie)怠。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),治身(shen)(shen)(shen)修(xiu)業。父母(mu)教誨,違戾反逆(ni)。譬如(ru)怨家,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)無(wu)(wu)子。負恩(en)違義,無(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)報償。放恣游(you)散,耽酒嗜美。魯扈抵突(tu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)識人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)情(qing)。無(wu)(wu)義無(wu)(wu)禮,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)諫(jian)曉。六親眷屬(shu),資用(yong)有(you)(you)無(wu)(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)憂念。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)惟父母(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)恩(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)存師(shi)友之(zhi)(zhi)義。意念身(shen)(shen)(shen)口(kou),曾(ceng)無(wu)(wu)一(yi)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信諸佛經法,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。欲(yu)害真人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),斗亂(luan)僧(seng)眾(zhong)(zhong)。愚(yu)癡蒙昧,自(zi)(zi)(zi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)智慧。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)所(suo)(suo)(suo)從(cong)來,死所(suo)(suo)(suo)趣(qu)向。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)仁不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順,希(xi)望長(chang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。慈心(xin)教誨,而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯信。苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)口(kou)與(yu)語(yu)(yu),無(wu)(wu)益其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。心(xin)中閉塞,意不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開(kai)解(jie)。大(da)命將(jiang)終,悔(hui)(hui)懼(ju)交至。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),臨時乃悔(hui)(hui)。悔(hui)(hui)之(zhi)(zhi)于(yu)后,將(jiang)何(he)及乎!天(tian)地之(zhi)(zhi)間(jian)(jian),五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)道(dao)(dao)分(fen)明(ming)(ming)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)報應,禍福(fu)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)承。身(shen)(shen)(shen)自(zi)(zi)(zi)當(dang)之(zhi)(zhi),無(wu)(wu)誰代者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)。善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),從(cong)樂入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)樂,從(cong)明(ming)(ming)入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)明(ming)(ming)。惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行(xing)(xing)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),從(cong)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku),從(cong)冥入(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)冥。誰能(neng)知者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),獨(du)佛知耳。教語(yu)(yu)開(kai)示,信行(xing)(xing)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)少。生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)休,惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕。如(ru)是世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),難(nan)可(ke)具盡(jin)。故有(you)(you)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)三(san)途(tu),無(wu)(wu)量(liang)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)(ku)惱(nao),輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)累劫(jie),無(wu)(wu)有(you)(you)出期(qi)。難(nan)得解(jie)脫(tuo)(tuo),痛(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言(yan)(yan)(yan)。如(ru)是五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)痛(tong)、五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)燒,譬如(ru)大(da)火,焚燒人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)身(shen)(shen)(shen)。若能(neng)自(zi)(zi)(zi)于(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中一(yi)心(xin)制(zhi)意,端(duan)身(shen)(shen)(shen)正念,言(yan)(yan)(yan)行(xing)(xing)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)副(fu),所(suo)(suo)(suo)作至誠(cheng)(cheng),獨(du)作諸善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。身(shen)(shen)(shen)獨(du)度脫(tuo)(tuo),獲其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福(fu)德(de),可(ke)得長(chang)壽泥洹(huan)之(zhi)(zhi)道(dao)(dao)。是為(wei)(wei)(wei)(wei)五(wu)(wu)(wu)(wu)大(da)善(shan)(shan)(shan)(shan)也。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛(fo)告訴(su)彌勒說:“你等能于(yu)(yu)此濁世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)之中(zhong)正心誠意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)業,堪可稱(cheng)為‘大(da)德’。為什么(me)這(zhe)(zhe)樣說呢?十(shi)方諸佛(fo)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界善(shan)(shan)多(duo)惡(e)少,容易接(jie)受(shou)(shou)開(kai)(kai)導(dao)教化,唯有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此五(wu)惡(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間,‘苦’最大(da)最多(duo)。我現今在(zai)此作佛(fo),教化群生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),欲使(shi)他(ta)們舍掉‘五(wu)惡(e)’,去脫‘五(wu)痛(tong)(tong)’,離開(kai)(kai)‘五(wu)燒’,降(jiang)伏(fu)(fu)化除他(ta)們的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡迷之心,讓他(ta)們守持‘五(wu)善(shan)(shan)’,使(shi)他(ta)們獲(huo)得(de)(de)福(fu)德。這(zhe)(zhe)‘五(wu)’是(shi)(shi)什么(me)呢?其一(yi)者,世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)諸眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)類(lei),想作種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)惡(e)事(shi),強者降(jiang)伏(fu)(fu)弱(ruo)者,強者身(shen)后又有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)更(geng)強者降(jiang)伏(fu)(fu)他(ta),輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)相(xiang)(xiang)制(zhi),殘害傷殺(sha),大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)吞(tun)食(shi)小的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),吞(tun)食(shi)者又被更(geng)大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)所(suo)吞(tun)。以(yi)(yi)暴凌善(shan)(shan),以(yi)(yi)強欺弱(ruo),完全不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂得(de)(de)相(xiang)(xiang)互為善(shan)(shan)。因為眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)如(ru)此作惡(e)而其來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)受(shou)(shou)到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報和(he)懲(cheng)罰。所(suo)以(yi)(yi),這(zhe)(zhe)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)貧窮、有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)乞丐(gai),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)父母,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無(wu)兒女,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)聾,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瞎(xia),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)啞,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡呆,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)惡(e)毒,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)殘廢,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瘋狂,這(zhe)(zhe)都是(shi)(shi)因為前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信道(dao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)積(ji)德,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為善(shan)(shan),所(suo)受(shou)(shou)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)‘殃罰’。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間也有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)尊貴,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)豪富,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)賢(xian)明,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)受(shou)(shou)眾(zhong)尊敬(jing),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)智(zhi)勇雙全,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)才能精深博(bo)大(da)。這(zhe)(zhe)都是(shi)(shi)由于(yu)(yu)前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)慈悲孝順等等修善(shan)(shan)積(ji)德所(suo)得(de)(de)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)善(shan)(shan)報。現實世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此可見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報之事(shi),更(geng)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)壽終之后下到(dao)冥界后不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)報之事(shi),在(zai)冥界轉(zhuan)(zhuan)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)投胎又受(shou)(shou)色(se)身(shen),改變(bian)了原來的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)形象,變(bian)豬變(bian)狗(gou),在(zai)五(wu)道(dao)中(zhong)淪陷于(yu)(yu)更(geng)低的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)位置(zhi)。因此,便有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)地獄、禽獸、飛蠅、爬蟲之類(lei)。這(zhe)(zhe)就猶(you)如(ru)以(yi)(yi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間法律治罪犯,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)關(guan)在(zai)牢獄之中(zhong),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)受(shou)(shou)到(dao)極刑(xing)痛(tong)(tong)苦。精靈魂魄(po)與其人(ren)前(qian)(qian)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)罪報相(xiang)(xiang)隨相(xiang)(xiang)從,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)管所(suo)得(de)(de)到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命(ming)或(huo)長或(huo)短(duan),冤家債主相(xiang)(xiang)追隨共生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)處(chu),一(yi)定要將(jiang)前(qian)(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)怨仇(chou)一(yi)一(yi)清(qing)算,以(yi)(yi)期報償。所(suo)犯罪行若沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)結清(qing),便不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能夠分開(kai)(kai),如(ru)此輾轉(zhuan)(zhuan)往復于(yu)(yu)其惡(e)道(dao)中(zhong),很多(duo)時(shi)(shi)劫也難(nan)得(de)(de)出(chu)離,絕少有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)機(ji)會獲(huo)得(de)(de)解脫,其痛(tong)(tong)苦難(nan)以(yi)(yi)言說。天地之間,因果(guo)相(xiang)(xiang)因,報應不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)爽,必應有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)如(ru)此狀。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)時(shi)(shi)雖不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時(shi)(shi)報應,但善(shan)(shan)因善(shan)(shan)果(guo),惡(e)因惡(e)果(guo),時(shi)(shi)候(hou)一(yi)至,無(wu)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)兌現。
“其二者(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)間人(ren)民(min)不(bu)依(yi)法規軌(gui)則,奢侈淫樂(le),驕橫放(fang)縱,放(fang)情縱欲。居(ju)上位(wei)的(de)(de)官(guan)員(yuan)(yuan)貪(tan)贓枉法,誤(wu)國(guo)殃(yang)民(min),在(zai)位(wei)而不(bu)能正已之(zhi)(zhi)身,誣陷使人(ren)冤枉,更陷害(hai)忠良,阿諛誹謗,心(xin)口不(bu)一(yi),投機(ji)取(qu)(qu)巧,詭詐虛(xu)偽(wei)。還(huan)不(bu)只是居(ju)上位(wei)的(de)(de)官(guan)員(yuan)(yuan)如此(ci)(ci),這世(shi)間無論(lun)尊貴(gui)的(de)(de)王公(gong)貴(gui)族(zu),卑殘的(de)(de)奴仆馬(ma)弁,族(zu)中的(de)(de)親眷家屬(shu),外界的(de)(de)平(ping)民(min)百姓(xing),都(dou)是互相欺誑,瞋恚愚癡。人(ren)們(men)都(dou)想自己占(zhan)便宜,損他人(ren)而利(li)己。為(wei)了(le)貪(tan)婪(lan)攫取(qu)(qu),占(zhan)有(you)更多(duo)的(de)(de)利(li)益,不(bu)惜以(yi)利(li)相侵,互相算計謀害(hai),由此(ci)(ci)結下忿惱(nao),由結忿惱(nao)又(you)升格為(wei)仇恨,甚(shen)至家破人(ren)亡,不(bu)顧前因后(hou)果(guo)的(de)(de)報(bao)應法則。富有(you)者(zhe)(zhe),慳吝貪(tan)惜,不(bu)肯施(shi)舍與人(ren)。愛欲頑(wan)固,貪(tan)心(xin)深(shen)重,終生身心(xin)勞苦(ku),就這樣一(yi)直到(dao)死(si)。到(dao)了(le)死(si)時,財物又(you)帶不(bu)走,沒有(you)一(yi)樣能拿(na)到(dao)陰間。善惡禍福平(ping)生之(zhi)(zhi)業,卻(que)追隨其人(ren)靈魂而到(dao)往生處,或(huo)者(zhe)(zhe)三(san)善道,或(huo)者(zhe)(zhe)三(san)惡道,總之(zhi)(zhi),決不(bu)會放(fang)棄此(ci)(ci)人(ren)。
“再有(you),或有(you)見人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)善,不是(shi)想(xiang)著如何去(qu)學習他,敬慕他,而是(shi)憎(zeng)惡誹謗(bang)他,胸中常懷侵奪之(zhi)心,希望(wang)損人(ren)(ren)利(li)己,將(jiang)他人(ren)(ren)之(zhi)財物供自己取用,揮霍完了,又重去(qu)盜取。當(dang)然逃不出神(shen)明的眼界(jie),終將(jiang)其(qi)人(ren)(ren)打入惡道,自然有(you)三途惡道的無量苦惱等著他,其(qi)人(ren)(ren)輾轉(zhuan)于三惡道中,曠劫長時也難以得(de)出,其(qi)痛苦不堪言說。
“其(qi)(qi)三者(zhe),世間人(ren)眾,由于(yu)相(xiang)互之(zhi)間的業因導果而(er)出生(sheng)于(yu)世,壽命能(neng)有多長(chang)?不(bu)良之(zhi)人(ren),身心(xin)(xin)不(bu)正,常(chang)懷(huai)邪惡(e)狠(hen)毒之(zhi)心(xin)(xin),常(chang)沉溺于(yu)淫欲放蕩,煩懣填塞胸中(zhong),淫邪放蕩流(liu)露于(yu)外(wai)表,所作(zuo)之(zhi)事不(bu)但耗(hao)費損(sun)失家中(zhong)產(chan)業,更(geng)因這些(xie)事情(qing)不(bu)合法度甚(shen)而(er)至于(yu)違犯法律招來惡(e)報。應當(dang)為(wei)之(zhi)追求、為(wei)之(zhi)奮斗的,他們不(bu)愿去(qu)追求去(qu)奮斗。又有的人(ren)拉(la)幫(bang)結伙(huo),興起爭戰,互相(xiang)攻伐,侵(qin)掠殺(sha)戮,武力脅迫,公然(ran)搶(qiang)奪(duo)(duo)。將以此(ci)種種獸行搶(qiang)奪(duo)(duo)來的財物拿去(qu)取悅于(yu)妻妾強人(ren),縱情(qing)于(yu)聲色,不(bu)知疲倦(juan)地(di)尋(xun)歡作(zuo)樂(le)。世間人(ren)眾對此(ci)憎惡(e)討(tao)厭,為(wei)此(ci)使之(zhi)遭受災禍(huo)和(he)無(wu)(wu)邊痛苦。這些(xie)作(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)人(ren),雖(sui)現人(ren)形,卻顯鬼魅的惡(e)毒。那明察(cha)人(ren)世的神明白會給他們記上這筆帳(zhang),以他們自己此(ci)生(sheng)作(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)因,將其(qi)(qi)在來世轉(zhuan)生(sheng)之(zhi)時變為(wei)餓鬼畜生(sheng),墮入三惡(e)道(dao),受到(dao)那無(wu)(wu)邊無(wu)(wu)量無(wu)(wu)窮(qiong)無(wu)(wu)盡(jin)的苦痛折磨,其(qi)(qi)人(ren)輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)于(yu)三惡(e)道(dao)之(zhi)中(zhong),很多時劫也不(bu)能(neng)出來,其(qi)(qi)痛苦難(nan)以言說(shuo)。
“其四者,世(shi)(shi)間(jian)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)掛(gua)念著修善的(de)(de)事,卻(que)撥弄(nong)是非,言辭粗鄙,假話大話,阿諛逢迎,憎恨嫉妒善人(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)才(cai)德(de),敗(bai)壞賢明(ming)之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)的(de)(de)名聲;不(bu)(bu)孝敬順遂父母,不(bu)(bu)尊重而慢(man)待老師,朋(peng)友(you)間(jian)不(bu)(bu)守(shou)信(xin)譽,難得以誠相待;驕傲自大,炫(xuan)耀自己有道行,橫行霸道,仗勢欺(qi)人(ren)(ren),想讓大眾對(dui)己產生(sheng)敬畏(wei);不(bu)(bu)知羞(xiu)慚,不(bu)(bu)自戒(jie)慎,不(bu)(bu)聽勸慰(wei),不(bu)(bu)服教化,其心常懷自大傲慢(man),僅(jin)依(yi)靠(kao)其前(qian)生(sheng)前(qian)世(shi)(shi)所(suo)(suo)積累的(de)(de)那點福(fu)德(de)的(de)(de)佑護,才(cai)未(wei)馬上受(shou)難;于今生(sheng)今世(shi)(shi)作(zuo)惡(e)多端(duan),前(qian)世(shi)(shi)辛勤修得的(de)(de)福(fu)德(de)終(zhong)歸消(xiao)耗殆(dai)盡。其人(ren)(ren)終(zhong)了(le)之(zhi)時,他(ta)(ta)所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)的(de)(de)各種(zhong)惡(e)業擁著他(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)魂(hun)魄去到(dao)冥世(shi)(shi),他(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)惡(e)名和(he)所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)的(de)(de)惡(e)業,都登記在神明(ming)的(de)(de)檔案里(li),其人(ren)(ren)被(bei)自身生(sheng)前(qian)所(suo)(suo)作(zuo)之(zhi)災(zai)惡(e)罪過(guo)所(suo)(suo)牽引,沒有辦法得以脫身,只好跟著前(qian)去,進入到(dao)獄火湯鑊之(zhi)中,身心被(bei)摧毀(hui)破碎,精神肉(rou)體(ti)痛苦不(bu)(bu)堪(kan)。到(dao)了(le)這個時候,后(hou)悔也(ye)來不(bu)(bu)及(ji)了(le)。
“其五(wu)者,世間的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思努(nu)力(li),留連于(yu)(yu)松懈(xie)懶惰,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)作(zuo)善(shan)(shan)(shan)舉好事,也(ye)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)修身(shen)養(yang)性,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)敬業(ye)樂(le)群。父母(mu)(mu)教(jiao)誨兒女(nv)(nv),兒女(nv)(nv)違(wei)背忤(wu)逆,就好像是冤家對(dui)(dui)頭。有(you)這樣的(de)(de)(de)兒女(nv)(nv)還不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如沒有(you)。如此兒女(nv)(nv),辜負(fu)父母(mu)(mu)養(yang)育之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩,違(wei)背孝敬長(chang)輩的(de)(de)(de)世間禮(li)儀(yi),對(dui)(dui)父母(mu)(mu)的(de)(de)(de)恩德全(quan)無(wu)一點報答之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)情(qing)。有(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)放蕩自縱,游樂(le)散漫,好酒(jiu)貪杯,嗜愛美味,無(wu)知無(wu)識,專(zhuan)橫(heng)跋扈,心無(wu)遠見,冥行妄作(zuo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得人(ren)情(qing)世故,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得仁義(yi)禮(li)貌.對(dui)(dui)其規勸告誡也(ye)沒有(you)用。有(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)對(dui)(dui)父母(mu)(mu)姊(zi)妹;親戚(qi)眷屬的(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)活困(kun)難全(quan)然不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮父母(mu)(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)恩,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮老師朋友情(qing)義(yi),心常念(nian)惡,口常言惡,身(shen)常行惡,三業(ye)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中一無(wu)是處,無(wu)善(shan)(shan)(shan)可言。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信(xin)仰諸佛(fo)的(de)(de)(de)經言法教(jiao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)信(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死因果,善(shan)(shan)(shan)惡有(you)報。欲想殺(sha)害阿羅漢,離間僧眾(zhong)使之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)爭(zheng)斗,蒙昧無(wu)知,反而(er)(er)自以為(wei)聰明(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知道生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)從何處而(er)(er)來,死后又去到(dao)何方,待(dai)人(ren)接物(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知仁愛和順,癡心妄想于(yu)(yu)長(chang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)老。對(dui)(dui)慈悲(bei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心的(de)(de)(de)教(jiao)誨不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯(ken)(ken)相(xiang)信(xin);對(dui)(dui)苦(ku)口婆心的(de)(de)(de)勸勉(mian)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)話;無(wu)動于(yu)(yu)衷。上述人(ren)等心中因癡愚而(er)(er)黑(hei)暗不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),對(dui)(dui)善(shan)(shan)(shan)意良言不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)開悟理解。生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命將要終(zhong)了之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)時(shi),后悔(hui)恐懼交相(xiang)產生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預先修善(shan)(shan)(shan),死到(dao)臨頭方生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)后悔(hui),可為(wei)時(shi)已晚,再后悔(hui)也(ye)來不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)及了。
“在天地(di)中(zhong)間,天、人(ren)(ren)、餓鬼(gui)、畜生(sheng)(sheng)、地(di)獄(yu)五道(dao)生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)流轉(zhuan),其(qi)善惡(e)(e)因果報應不(bu)爽是(shi)明擺(bai)著的(de)事(shi)。行善作(zuo)惡(e)(e)各(ge)有(you)(you)報應相隨,禍受之于惡(e)(e),福受之于善,是(shi)禍是(shi)福,均由(you)其(qi)本人(ren)(ren)自己來承(cheng)當,他人(ren)(ren)無可(ke)替代,善人(ren)(ren)行善事(shi),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)世樂施好(hao)善,來生(sheng)(sheng)得入富(fu)樂人(ren)(ren)家(jia);今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)世勤修福慧,來生(sheng)(sheng)得入賢達人(ren)(ren)家(jia);惡(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)作(zuo)惡(e)(e)事(shi),今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)世使(shi)人(ren)(ren)痛苦,來生(sheng)(sheng)得入窮苦人(ren)(ren)家(jia);今(jin)(jin)(jin)(jin)世癡愚(yu)(yu),來生(sheng)(sheng)還入癡愚(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)家(jia)。這其(qi)中(zhong)的(de)道(dao)理有(you)(you)誰能(neng)(neng)知?唯獨(du)只有(you)(you)佛(fo)能(neng)(neng)知能(neng)(neng)曉(xiao)。佛(fo)說的(de)教導人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)的(de)方法,所開示(shi)的(de)真實之相,信受不(bu)移而(er)依(yi)此篤行的(de)人(ren)(ren)極少(shao)極少(shao)。所以(yi)世間生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)輪回永不(bu)停止,墮(duo)于三惡(e)(e)道(dao)之路(lu)的(de)人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)不(bu)能(neng)(neng)斷絕(jue)。像這樣的(de)世間凡(fan)夫(fu)(fu)俗(su)(su)子,難(nan)以(yi)全部(bu)都(dou)度脫(tuo)完(wan)畢,所以(yi)才有(you)(you)三惡(e)(e)道(dao)無量苦惱,讓這樣的(de)凡(fan)夫(fu)(fu)俗(su)(su)子輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)于其(qi)中(zhong),生(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)世世,曠(kuang)劫而(er)不(bu)能(neng)(neng)得出,解脫(tuo)生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)的(de)希(xi)望無從感受,痛苦難(nan)以(yi)言(yan)說。
“像這樣的(de)五(wu)惡、五(wu)痛、五(wu)燒(shao),猶如(ru)大(da)火焚燒(shao)人身,若(ruo)有(you)人能(neng)在(zai)火燒(shao)之中(zhong),專一其心,制止意(yi)業發(fa)生,端正(zheng)其行為思(si)想,言(yan)行一致,誠(cheng)心誠(cheng)意(yi),不(bu)管世間濁穢如(ru)何,獨作善(shan)事,不(bu)作各種惡事,其人之身便獨得(de)度脫,獲得(de)他行善(shan)報應的(de)福德,可得(de)以在(zai)無(wu)生無(wu)滅的(de)涅盤境界中(zhong)長生。這就(jiu)是五(wu)大(da)善(shan)。”
【原文】佛(fo)告彌勒:吾(wu)語汝等(deng),如是五惡(e)(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒,輾轉相(xiang)(xiang)生。敢有犯此,當(dang)歷惡(e)(e)趣(qu)。或其(qi)今(jin)世(shi),先被病(bing)殃,死生不(bu)得,示眾見之。或于壽終(zhong),入(ru)三惡(e)(e)道(dao)。愁痛(tong)酷毒,自(zi)相(xiang)(xiang)燋然。共(gong)其(qi)怨家,更相(xiang)(xiang)殺傷(shang)。從(cong)小微起,成大困劇。皆由貪著財(cai)色(se),不(bu)肯(ken)施(shi)惠(hui)。各欲(yu)自(zi)快,無復曲直。癡欲(yu)所迫,厚己(ji)爭利。富貴榮華(hua),當(dang)時快意(yi)。不(bu)能忍辱(ru),不(bu)務修善(shan)。威勢無幾,隨以磨滅。天道(dao)施(shi)張,自(zi)然糾舉,煢煢忪忪,當(dang)入(ru)其(qi)中。古今(jin)有是,痛(tong)哉可(ke)傷(shang)!汝等(deng)得佛(fo)經語,熟思惟之。各自(zi)端(duan)守(shou),終(zhong)身不(bu)怠(dai)。尊圣敬善(shan),仁慈博(bo)愛。當(dang)求度世(shi),拔斷生死眾惡(e)(e)之本。當(dang)離三途,憂怖苦痛(tong)之道(dao)。若曹作(zuo)善(shan),云何第一?當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)心,當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)身。耳(er)目口(kou)鼻,皆當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)。身心凈(jing)潔,與(yu)善(shan)相(xiang)(xiang)應。勿隨嗜欲(yu),不(bu)犯諸惡(e)(e)。言色(se)當(dang)和,身行當(dang)專。動作(zuo)瞻視,安定徐為。作(zuo)事倉卒,敗悔在后。為之不(bu)諦,亡其(qi)功夫。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛對(dui)彌勒說:“我(wo)告訴(su)了(le)你們這個(ge)五(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e)、五(wu)(wu)痛(tong)(tong)、五(wu)(wu)燒輾轉相(xiang)生(sheng)因果輪(lun)回的(de)道理。若還有人(ren)(ren)敢于犯此(ci)五(wu)(wu)惡(e)(e),必(bi)當遭到惡(e)(e)果所(suo)報(bao),或(huo)(huo)者其人(ren)(ren)今世就(jiu)得(de)現(xian)報(bao),先被(bei)病惡(e)(e)禍及(ji),痛(tong)(tong)苦不(bu)堪(kan),求(qiu)生(sheng)不(bu)得(de),求(qiu)死(si)不(bu)能,讓大眾(zhong)都得(de)見這惡(e)(e)行惡(e)(e)報(bao)的(de)下場。或(huo)(huo)者其人(ren)(ren)在壽(shou)終之后,墮入三(san)惡(e)(e)趣中,憂愁(chou)痛(tong)(tong)苦,酷刑荼毒(du),自(zi)業(ye)之火,炙灼自(zi)身(shen);與(yu)他在生(sheng)之世結的(de)冤家對(dui)頭共(gong)處一(yi)地,互相(xiang)傷害(hai)殘殺(sha),從很小的(de)摩擦開始,愈演(yan)愈烈,最終釀成重(zhong)災大禍。
“上(shang)述兩種惡(e)報都(dou)是由于生之(zhi)世貪得(de)無(wu)厭,積(ji)斂(lian)錢財,無(wu)羞無(wu)恥,沉溺色情,不(bu)(bu)肯(ken)以財物布(bu)施窮(qiong)人(ren),只(zhi)(zhi)求(qiu)自己快樂(le)和(he)欲望(wang)得(de)到滿足,不(bu)(bu)管(guan)所行(xing)之(zhi)事的(de)是非曲直。由癡欲貪婪之(zhi)心所迫使,損(sun)人(ren)利(li)己,不(bu)(bu)擇手段與人(ren)爭利(li),爭得(de)的(de)富貴榮(rong)華,只(zhi)(zhi)是一時的(de)快意,不(bu)(bu)愿忍辱修習(xi),不(bu)(bu)能修善積(ji)德(de),威風權(quan)勢(shi)沒有(you)幾天長(chang)久,隨即便磨滅殆盡(jin)。天理昭然(ran),自會觀(guan)察(cha)審視(shi)到其人(ren)所為。其人(ren)自感(gan)罪(zui)行(xing)敗(bai)露,驚惶失措,將(jiang)孤獨地墮入惡(e)道之(zhi)中。從(cong)古(gu)到今有(you)不(bu)(bu)少這方面的(de)例子。痛(tong)心啊,真使人(ren)痛(tong)心!
“你們(men)聽我說(shuo)了這(zhe)些法(fa)(fa)教(jiao),應對這(zhe)其(qi)中(zhong)道(dao)理(li)深思(si)熟慮,各自(zi)(zi)端(duan)守奉行(xing)教(jiao)法(fa)(fa),終身(shen)(shen)不(bu)要有(you)片刻懈怠。尊重阿羅漢等修行(xing)人,敬愛行(xing)善好施的大居士,仁義慈悲,博愛眾(zhong)生,當(dang)求濟度世間有(you)情之道(dao),拔除斷滅生死和(he)各種惡(e)的根源(yuan)。如這(zhe)樣(yang)作(zuo),則必將脫離三惡(e)道(dao)的憂愁(chou)、恐怖、苦痛。你們(men)作(zuo)善事(shi),首(shou)先得作(zuo)什(shen)么?首(shou)先應當(dang)自(zi)(zi)行(xing)端(duan)正身(shen)(shen)心(xin),端(duan)正耳、目、口、鼻。身(shen)(shen)心(xin)潔凈,與(yu)善便(bian)可(ke)相(xiang)照應。不(bu)要順逐嗜好欲望(wang),不(bu)要造下諸種惡(e)業,語(yu)言面容(rong)應當(dang)溫柔和(he)藹,自(zi)(zi)身(shen)(shen)及行(xing)為應當(dang)專(zhuan)誠(cheng)瑞(rui)正。一舉一動,一言一行(xing),都應當(dang)安祥沉靜,從容(rong)不(bu)迫(po)。作(zuo)事(shi)倉卒慌忙(mang),必將失敗(bai)與(yu)后悔,一招不(bu)慎(shen),便(bian)會喪失其(qi)修習了許久的功夫德(de)行(xing)。”
【原文】汝(ru)等(deng)廣植德(de)(de)本,勿犯道禁(jin)。忍辱精(jing)進,慈心(xin)專一(yi)(yi)。齋戒(jie)清(qing)凈,一(yi)(yi)日一(yi)(yi)夜,勝(sheng)在無(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)為(wei)(wei)善(shan)百歲。所(suo)以(yi)者何?彼(bi)佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)土,皆積(ji)德(de)(de)眾善(shan),無(wu)(wu)毫發之惡。于(yu)此修(xiu)善(shan),十(shi)日十(shi)夜,勝(sheng)于(yu)他方諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)中,為(wei)(wei)善(shan)千(qian)歲。所(suo)以(yi)者何?他方佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo),福德(de)(de)自(zi)然,無(wu)(wu)造(zao)惡之地。唯此世間,善(shan)少惡多,飲苦(ku)(ku)食毒,未嘗寧(ning)息。吾(wu)哀(ai)汝(ru)等(deng),苦(ku)(ku)心(xin)誨喻,授與經法。悉(xi)持思(si)之,悉(xi)奉行之。尊卑、男女、眷屬、朋友,轉相教語,自(zi)相約檢(jian)。和順義(yi)理,歡樂慈孝。所(suo)作如(ru)犯,則自(zi)悔過。去惡就善(shan),朝聞夕改(gai)。奉持經戒(jie),如(ru)貧得(de)寶(bao)。改(gai)往修(xiu)來(lai),洗心(xin)易行。自(zi)然感降,所(suo)愿輒得(de)。佛(fo)(fo)所(suo)行處,國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)邑(yi)丘聚,靡不蒙(meng)化。天下和順,日月清(qing)明(ming)。風雨以(yi)時,災厲不起。國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)豐(feng)民安,兵戈無(wu)(wu)用。崇德(de)(de)興(xing)仁,務(wu)修(xiu)禮(li)讓。國(guo)(guo)(guo)(guo)無(wu)(wu)盜(dao)賊,無(wu)(wu)有怨枉(wang)。強(qiang)不凌弱,各(ge)得(de)其所(suo)。我(wo)哀(ai)汝(ru)等(deng),甚于(yu)父母念子。我(wo)于(yu)此世作佛(fo)(fo),以(yi)善(shan)攻惡,拔生(sheng)死(si)之苦(ku)(ku)。令獲五(wu)德(de)(de),升無(wu)(wu)為(wei)(wei)之安。吾(wu)般泥(ni)洹,經道漸滅。人民諂偽,復為(wei)(wei)眾惡。五(wu)燒(shao)五(wu)痛,久后轉劇。汝(ru)等(deng)轉相教誡,如(ru)佛(fo)(fo)經法,無(wu)(wu)得(de)犯也。彌勒菩薩,合掌白言:世人惡苦(ku)(ku),如(ru)是(shi)如(ru)是(shi)。佛(fo)(fo)皆慈哀(ai),悉(xi)度脫(tuo)之。受佛(fo)(fo)重誨,不敢違失。
【譯文】你們(men)應當廣(guang)修(xiu)(xiu)六度,培植(zhi)功德(de)之本,不(bu)要(yao)違犯(fan)了戒禁(jin)紀律。一(yi)定要(yao)忍(ren)辱精進,用心(xin)專一(yi)。守齋(zhai)持戒,務使身心(xin)清凈。若能在此穢(hui)土守齋(zhai)持戒一(yi)天(tian)一(yi)夜(ye),所獲的(de)功德(de)勝過在無量壽國里作一(yi)百年(nian)的(de)善(shan)行義舉。為什么呢?那西(xi)方極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界都是各種福德(de)善(shan)事積(ji)累而成,沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)哪怕是如毫毛頭發的(de)一(yi)絲惡念(nian)。在我們(men)這娑婆(po)世(shi)界修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)十天(tian)十夜(ye),勝過在其他(ta)諸佛國中修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)千年(nian)。為什么呢?其他(ta)的(de)佛國天(tian)然有(you)(you)佛德(de),沒(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)造(zao)成惡業(ye)的(de)余地。不(bu)像(xiang)我們(men)這世(shi)間,善(shan)少惡多,飲苦水,吃毒(du)食,終無休止之期。
我為(wei)你們眾生悲(bei)哀,所(suo)以(yi)才苦口婆心(xin)地加(jia)以(yi)教(jiao)導(dao)(dao),翻來復(fu)去的給(gei)出譬喻(yu),一心(xin)要教(jiao)給(gei)你們經(jing)(jing)法,令你們受持思考,如教(jiao)奉行(xing)(xing)。對(dui)達官顯(xian)貴和奴仆百(bai)姓(xing),對(dui)男人和女(nv)人,對(dui)親戚眷(juan)屬,對(dui)朋友同事,轉(zhuan)述我教(jiao)導(dao)(dao)的這些話,務必要自(zi)(zi)行(xing)(xing)檢查約(yue)束(shu),使言(yan)行(xing)(xing)舉止合順于理(li)義,歡喜安樂(le)于慈愛兒女(nv)、孝敬父母(mu)。所(suo)作所(suo)為(wei)如有違犯經(jing)(jing)戒的地方,則自(zi)(zi)行(xing)(xing)改過(guo)。離去惡而靠近善,早上知道了正(zheng)確(que)的道理(li),下(xia)午(wu)就改正(zheng)過(guo)來。奉持經(jing)(jing)戒,如同窮人得(de)到珍寶(bao),改正(zheng)以(yi)往的惡,修(xiu)行(xing)(xing)未來的善,洗除心(xin)中的污垢,變易自(zi)(zi)己(ji)的行(xing)(xing)為(wei),自(zi)(zi)然感(gan)應到佛力加(jia)持,凡所(suo)求愿,都(dou)能(neng)圓滿(man)。
佛所到(dao)之處,大到(dao)國(guo)家(jia),小到(dao)鄉邑,凡眾生(sheng)聚(ju)居之處,沒(mei)有(you)(you)一(yi)地不(bu)蒙受教化,也沒(mei)有(you)(you)一(yi)處不(bu)呈現祥和太(tai)平。萬邦和睦,日月清明,風調雨(yu)順,災(zai)害不(bu)起,瘟(wen)疫不(bu)行;國(guo)家(jia)豐足,人(ren)民安樂;刀槍(qiang)入庫,尊崇道德;興(xing)施(shi)仁政,宣傳禮(li)讓;國(guo)無盜(dao)賊,世無怨枉;強(qiang)者不(bu)欺凌(ling)弱者,人(ren)人(ren)都各得其所。
我(wo)憐(lian)憫你(ni)們(men)罪(zui)苦(ku)眾(zhong)生,勝過(guo)父母(mu)慈愛兒女。我(wo)在此五(wu)(wu)濁惡(e)世上(shang)作(zuo)佛(fo);用(yong)善德(de)來攻破惡(e)行。拔除有(you)情生死之苦(ku),使眾(zhong)生獲得“五(wu)(wu)德(de)”,升至無為無礙的常樂心境。我(wo)圓(yuan)寂后,經(jing)法佛(fo)道將逐漸泯滅,那(nei)時候,人心諂邪(xie)狡詐,重新作(zuo)惡(e),五(wu)(wu)燒(shao)五(wu)(wu)痛,越(yue)來越(yue)劇(ju),你(ni)們(men)應當(dang)由我(wo)佛(fo)法的弟子轉為教(jiao)導(dao)世人的老師,不倦地教(jiao)誡眾(zhong)生,引導(dao)眾(zhong)生。你(ni)們(men)記住,對于(yu)佛(fo)所(suo)留下(xia)的經(jing)法,一(yi)定不要違犯。
彌勒菩薩合掌致謝禮,贊(zan)嘆(tan)道:世(shi)(shi)間人類的(de)惡(e)與苦,如佛(fo)所(suo)說這(zhe)樣大、這(zhe)樣深,佛(fo)皆慈哀世(shi)(shi)間惡(e)人,不計其惡(e)而全部度(du)脫。我等受(shou)佛(fo)深刻的(de)教(jiao)誨,不敢違犯(fan)忘(wang)失(shi)。
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)告(gao)阿(a)(a)(a)難(nan):若曹欲見無(wu)量清(qing)凈(jing)平(ping)等覺,及(ji)諸(zhu)(zhu)菩(pu)薩(sa)、阿(a)(a)(a)羅漢等所(suo)居(ju)國(guo)(guo)土,應起(qi)西向,當(dang)日沒處(chu)(chu),恭敬頂禮,稱(cheng)念(nian)南無(wu)阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)(a)難(nan)即從(cong)座起(qi),面西合掌,頂禮白言:我今愿見極樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo),供養(yang)奉(feng)事,種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)諸(zhu)(zhu)善根。頂禮之(zhi)間,忽見阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo),容顏廣大(da),色相(xiang)端嚴(yan)。如(ru)(ru)(ru)黃(huang)金(jin)山(shan),高出(chu)一(yi)(yi)(yi)切諸(zhu)(zhu)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)上(shang)。又聞十方世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)如(ru)(ru)(ru)來(lai),稱(cheng)揚(yang)贊(zan)嘆(tan)阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)功(gong)德,無(wu)礙無(wu)斷。阿(a)(a)(a)難(nan)白言:彼(bi)佛(fo)(fo)凈(jing)剎得未曾有,我亦(yi)愿樂生于(yu)(yu)彼(bi)土。世(shi)(shi)尊告(gao)言:其(qi)中生者,已曾親近無(wu)量諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo),植(zhi)眾(zhong)德本。汝欲生彼(bi),應當(dang)一(yi)(yi)(yi)心(xin)歸(gui)依瞻仰。作是語時,阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)即于(yu)(yu)掌中放(fang)無(wu)量光(guang),普照(zhao)(zhao)(zhao)一(yi)(yi)(yi)切諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)。時諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo),皆(jie)悉(xi)明(ming)(ming)現(xian),如(ru)(ru)(ru)處(chu)(chu)一(yi)(yi)(yi)尋。以阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)殊勝光(guang)明(ming)(ming),極清(qing)凈(jing)故,于(yu)(yu)此(ci)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)所(suo)有黑(hei)山(shan)、雪(xue)山(shan)、金(jin)剛、鐵圍(wei)大(da)小諸(zhu)(zhu)山(shan),江(jiang)河叢(cong)林(lin),天人(ren)宮殿,一(yi)(yi)(yi)切境界(jie)(jie)(jie),無(wu)不照(zhao)(zhao)(zhao)見。譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)(ru)日出(chu),明(ming)(ming)照(zhao)(zhao)(zhao)世(shi)(shi)間。乃至(zhi)泥(ni)犁、溪谷,幽(you)冥之(zhi)處(chu)(chu),悉(xi)大(da)開辟,皆(jie)同一(yi)(yi)(yi)色。猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)劫水彌(mi)(mi)(mi)滿世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),其(qi)中萬物,沉(chen)沒不現(xian),滉漾(yang)浩汗,唯見大(da)水。彼(bi)佛(fo)(fo)光(guang)明(ming)(ming),亦(yi)復如(ru)(ru)(ru)是。聲聞、菩(pu)薩(sa)一(yi)(yi)(yi)切光(guang)明(ming)(ming),悉(xi)皆(jie)隱(yin)蔽,唯見佛(fo)(fo)光(guang),明(ming)(ming)耀顯(xian)赫。此(ci)會四眾(zhong)、天龍(long)八部(bu)、人(ren)非人(ren)等,皆(jie)見極樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)種(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)莊嚴(yan)。阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo),于(yu)(yu)彼(bi)高座,威德巍巍,相(xiang)好光(guang)明(ming)(ming),聲聞、菩(pu)薩(sa),圍(wei)繞(rao)恭敬。譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)(ru)須彌(mi)(mi)(mi)山(shan)王,出(chu)于(yu)(yu)海面。明(ming)(ming)現(xian)照(zhao)(zhao)(zhao)耀,清(qing)凈(jing)平(ping)正。無(wu)有雜穢(hui),及(ji)異(yi)形類。唯是眾(zhong)寶莊嚴(yan),圣賢共住。阿(a)(a)(a)難(nan)及(ji)諸(zhu)(zhu)菩(pu)薩(sa)眾(zhong)等,皆(jie)大(da)歡喜(xi),踴(yong)躍作禮,以頭著地(di),稱(cheng)念(nian)南無(wu)阿(a)(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)三(san)藐(miao)三(san)佛(fo)(fo)陀(tuo)。諸(zhu)(zhu)天人(ren)民,以至(zhi)蜎飛(fei)蠕(ru)動(dong),睹(du)斯(si)光(guang)者,所(suo)有疾苦(ku),莫不休止,一(yi)(yi)(yi)切憂惱,莫不解脫(tuo)。悉(xi)皆(jie)慈(ci)心(xin)作善,歡喜(xi)快樂。鐘(zhong)磬、琴(qin)瑟、箜(kong)篌(hou)樂器,不鼓(gu)自然皆(jie)作五(wu)音。諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)中,諸(zhu)(zhu)天人(ren)民,各持花(hua)香(xiang),來(lai)于(yu)(yu)虛空,散作供養(yang)。爾時極樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),過于(yu)(yu)西方百千俱(ju)胝那由他國(guo)(guo),以佛(fo)(fo)威力,如(ru)(ru)(ru)對目(mu)前,如(ru)(ru)(ru)凈(jing)天眼(yan),觀一(yi)(yi)(yi)尋地(di)。彼(bi)見此(ci)土,亦(yi)復如(ru)(ru)(ru)是。悉(xi)睹(du)娑婆世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),釋(shi)迦如(ru)(ru)(ru)來(lai),及(ji)比丘(qiu)眾(zhong),圍(wei)繞(rao)說法(fa)。
【譯文】釋加牟(mou)尼佛告誡阿(a)難說:“你(ni)們如果想見無量壽(shou)佛以及西(xi)方極樂世界諸菩(pu)薩、阿(a)羅(luo)漢等所居住的凈土(tu),應(ying)起立面向(xiang)西(xi)方,即對日落之處,恭敬地行禮,稱(cheng)念南(nan)無阿(a)彌陀佛。”
阿(a)(a)難即(ji)刻從座位上站起(qi)來(lai),面(mian)向西方;合(he)掌行禮而發愿(yuan)道:我現(xian)在愿(yuan)見(jian)極樂世界的阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo),供養伺奉(feng)阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo),并以此(ci)積(ji)累(lei)福德。正行禮之(zhi)間(jian),忽見(jian)阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)。阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)臉面(mian)極其廣(guang)大,面(mian)容相貌端莊(zhuang)威嚴,如(ru)黃金的山,高(gao)高(gao)地出現(xian)在一切諸(zhu)(zhu)世界上空,又聽聞到十方世界的諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)如(ru)來(lai),都在稱揚贊(zan)嘆阿(a)(a)彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)的種(zhong)種(zhong)功德,天(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian)無處(chu)不回響著這美(mei)好的聲(sheng)音,久久不斷。”
阿難稟白說:“今見西方極樂世界(jie),得見所未見,聞所未聞的奇跡,我也愿意(yi)(yi)高興(xing)地往生(sheng)于那里。”世尊告(gao)訴他說:“西方極樂世界(jie)的往生(sheng)者,過去(qu)曾供養(yang)伺奉無量諸佛(fo),積累了各種福德(de)善根,你想往生(sheng)那里,就(jiu)應當一心一意(yi)(yi)地歸(gui)依和(he)瞻仰(yang)阿彌陀佛(fo)。”
說(shuo)這(zhe)(zhe)話的(de)(de)時候,阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)即在(zai)手掌中放出(chu)無(wu)量的(de)(de)光,普照(zhao)一切(qie)諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)世界。這(zhe)(zhe)時候,諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國皆(jie)全(quan)部顯現(xian)出(chu)來,只在(zai)咫尺之間(jian)。因為(wei)阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)無(wu)比的(de)(de)光明(ming)極(ji)其(qi)清凈的(de)(de)緣故,把(ba)這(zhe)(zhe)世界所(suo)有的(de)(de)黑山(shan)、雪山(shan)、金(jin)剛山(shan)、鐵圍(wei)山(shan)等大(da)大(da)小小的(de)(de)山(shan),把(ba)這(zhe)(zhe)世界所(suo)有的(de)(de)江河、叢林、天人宮殿等等一切(qie)境界,全(quan)都照(zhao)現(xian)出(chu)來。譬如太陽升起在(zai)空中,光明(ming)普照(zhao)世間(jian),乃(nai)至照(zhao)遍地獄、溪(xi)谷等幽(you)暗之處。這(zhe)(zhe)些幽(you)暗之處全(quan)都開(kai)明(ming)盡(jin)現(xian),世上一切(qie)事物無(wu)不(bu)顯出(chu)金(jin)色光芒。猶如劫水(shui)彌漫于世界,其(qi)中的(de)(de)萬物沉(chen)沒(mei)不(bu)現(xian),無(wu)邊無(wu)際唯見大(da)水(shui)。阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)的(de)(de)光明(ming)亦是這(zhe)(zhe)樣。聲(sheng)聞、菩薩的(de)(de)一切(qie)光明(ming),全(quan)都隱蔽不(bu)現(xian),惟見佛(fo)(fo)光明(ming)耀顯赫。
在(zai)此聚會的(de)四眾弟子(zi),天(tian)(tian)龍(long)八部、人非人等(deng),都親眼看見(jian)了極(ji)樂世(shi)界的(de)種(zhong)種(zhong)莊嚴(yan)之象。阿彌(mi)陀(tuo)佛坐(zuo)在(zai)他(ta)(ta)的(de)高(gao)座上,威嚴(yan)肅穆,功德巍(wei)巍(wei),瑞相(xiang)光(guang)明,與天(tian)(tian)地齊。聲聞、菩薩弟子(zi)恭(gong)恭(gong)敬敬地圍繞在(zai)他(ta)(ta)身邊(bian)。譬如須彌(mi)山王升起(qi)于海(hai)面,光(guang)明照耀,清(qing)凈安穩,沒(mei)有(you)雜染污穢,以及異形物(wu)類,只有(you)各種(zhong)寶物(wu)莊嚴(yan)修飾(shi),只有(you)圣人與賢者(zhe)相(xiang)居共住。阿難及諸菩薩眾等(deng)皆心生大歡(huan)喜,歡(huan)呼(hu)雀(que)躍(yue),五體投地恭(gong)行大禮(li),口中(zhong)稱念南無(wu)阿彌(mi)陀(tuo)佛。
諸(zhu)天(tian)(tian)界人(ren)民(min)(min),以(yi)至飛蠅(ying)爬(pa)蟲,凡見到阿彌陀佛(fo)(fo)光(guang)明者,所有的疾病痛(tong)苦(ku),莫不(bu)(bu)消失,一切的憂(you)愁煩惱,無(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)解脫。人(ren)人(ren)都生發(fa)出(chu)慈(ci)善之(zhi)心,人(ren)人(ren)都感(gan)到歡喜快樂(le)。鐘(zhong)磬琴瑟、箜篌(hou)樂(le)器,不(bu)(bu)鼓不(bu)(bu)彈(dan)不(bu)(bu)吹不(bu)(bu)奏便自然(ran)地發(fa)出(chu)音(yin)樂(le)。諸(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)國中(zhong)諸(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人(ren)民(min)(min)各各手持鮮花、供(gong)香,來到虛空之(zhi)中(zhong)散(san)下,以(yi)此(ci)供(gong)養(yang)佛(fo)(fo)世(shi)尊。那(nei)時,極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界雖(sui)遠在西(xi)方百千俱胝(zhi)那(nei)由他國度(du)之(zhi)外,以(yi)佛(fo)(fo)的威(wei)力現出(chu)奇(qi)跡,如在眼前對面。又如同(tong)以(yi)天(tian)(tian)眼觀看(kan)咫尺(chi)以(yi)外的地方,自然(ran)無(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)清(qing)晰(xi)(xi)明見。極(ji)樂(le)世(shi)界上(shang)的圣眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)看(kan)娑婆(po)世(shi)界也同(tong)娑婆(po)世(shi)異眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)生看(kan)他們一樣(yang)清(qing)晰(xi)(xi)明白(bai),他們又都能看(kan)到娑婆(po)世(shi)界上(shang)的釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo),以(yi)及眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)比丘。眾(zhong)(zhong)(zhong)比丘圍(wei)繞(rao)釋迦如來,正(zheng)在演說此(ci)《大乘(cheng)無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)莊(zhuang)嚴清(qing)凈平等覺經(jing)》。
【原文】爾(er)時佛(fo)(fo)告阿(a)難(nan)(nan),及慈(ci)氏(shi)菩薩(sa):汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)極樂世界(jie),宮殿(dian)樓閣,泉(quan)池林樹,具足微妙清(qing)凈莊(zhuang)嚴否(fou)?汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)欲(yu)界(jie)諸天,上至色究竟(jing)天,雨諸香華,遍佛(fo)(fo)剎否(fou)?阿(a)難(nan)(nan)對曰:唯(wei)然(ran)已見(jian)(jian)(jian)。汝聞阿(a)彌陀佛(fo)(fo)大(da)音宣布一切世界(jie),化眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)否(fou)?阿(a)難(nan)(nan)對曰:唯(wei)然(ran)已聞。佛(fo)(fo)言(yan):汝見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)國(guo)凈行之眾(zhong)(zhong),游處(chu)(chu)虛(xu)空,宮殿(dian)隨身,無所(suo)障礙,遍至十(shi)方供(gong)養諸佛(fo)(fo)否(fou)?及見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)等念佛(fo)(fo)相(xiang)續否(fou)?復(fu)有(you)眾(zhong)(zhong)鳥住虛(xu)空界(jie),出種種音,皆是化作,汝悉見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?慈(ci)氏(shi)白言(yan):如(ru)佛(fo)(fo)所(suo)說,一一皆見(jian)(jian)(jian)。佛(fo)(fo)告彌勒:彼(bi)國(guo)人民有(you)胎生(sheng)者(zhe),汝復(fu)見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?彌勒白言(yan):世尊,我(wo)見(jian)(jian)(jian)極樂世界(jie)人住胎者(zhe),如(ru)夜(ye)摩天,處(chu)(chu)于(yu)宮殿(dian)。又見(jian)(jian)(jian)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng),于(yu)蓮華內結(jie)跏趺坐(zuo),自然(ran)化生(sheng)。何因緣故,彼(bi)國(guo)人民,有(you)胎生(sheng)者(zhe),有(you)化生(sheng)者(zhe)?
【譯文】那時候,釋迦牟尼問阿(a)難以(yi)及慈氏菩薩道:“你們(men)看見(jian)極樂世界的(de)宮(gong)殿(dian)、樓(lou)閣(ge)、泉池、林樹是否(fou)十(shi)分微妙和清凈莊嚴?你們(men)看見(jian)欲(yu)界諸(zhu)天,上至色(se)究(jiu)竟天,降香花之雨(yu),那花遍(bian)散十(shi)方(fang)佛國凈土了(le)嗎(ma)?”
阿難回答(da)說:“都看見了。”
釋迦(jia)牟(mou)尼(ni)佛又(you)問:“你們聽到阿彌陀佛以(yi)他宏大的聲音宣布(bu),他將于一(yi)切世界來化度眾生了(le)嗎?”
阿難回答說:“都聽(ting)到了(le)。”
釋迦牟尼佛又說:“你(ni)們(men)看見極樂世界清凈修(xiu)行(xing)的(de)圣眾遨游(you)虛(xu)空之中了(le)(le)嗎(ma)(ma)?他們(men)所居(ju)的(de)宮殿隨(sui)在身(shen)后,他們(men)飛到(dao)(dao)哪(na)(na)兒宮殿也跟到(dao)(dao)哪(na)(na)兒,竟然(ran)沒有任何障礙。你(ni)們(men)看見他們(men)如此這般地飛遍(bian)十(shi)方(fang)世界去供養諸佛了(le)(le)嗎(ma)(ma)?你(ni)們(men)看到(dao)(dao)他們(men)在不斷(duan)念佛嗎(ma)(ma)?各種(zhong)鳥在虛(xu)空中啼叫,發(fa)出種(zhong)種(zhong)聲(sheng)音,都是阿彌陀佛的(de)變化所為,你(ni)們(men)全(quan)看出來了(le)(le)嗎(ma)(ma)?”
彌勒菩薩(sa)答道:“如佛所說(shuo),我們都一一看見(jian)了。”
釋迦牟尼佛又向彌勒(le)菩薩發問(wen)道:“西(xi)方(fang)極樂世界的(de)人民中(zhong)暫的(de)是胎生的(de),你看清楚了(le)嗎?”
彌勒菩薩回答說:“世尊,我看見極(ji)樂世界(jie)(jie)有胎(tai)生的人,猶如夜摩(mo)天(tian)人在(zai)宮殿(dian)中。又還看見眾(zhong)生于(yu)蓮(lian)花內結跏跌(die)坐而自然化生。但這(zhe)是(shi)什么因緣(yuan)造(zao)成西(xi)方極(ji)樂世界(jie)(jie)有胎(tai)生者(zhe)和(he)化生者(zhe)兩種眾(zhong)生的呢?”
【原文】佛告慈氏:若有(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng),以疑惑(huo)(huo)(huo)(huo)心(xin)(xin)修(xiu)諸功(gong)德,愿(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)(bi)國(guo)(guo)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)了佛智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、大(da)乘(cheng)廣(guang)(guang)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)(wu)等無(wu)(wu)(wu)倫最上勝(sheng)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),于(yu)(yu)此(ci)(ci)諸智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),疑惑(huo)(huo)(huo)(huo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信。猶(you)信罪福,修(xiu)習善(shan)本,愿(yuan)生(sheng)(sheng)其國(guo)(guo)。復有(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng),積集善(shan)根,希(xi)求(qiu)佛智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)(wu)(wu)等智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)、威德廣(guang)(guang)大(da)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。于(yu)(yu)自(zi)善(shan)根,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能生(sheng)(sheng)信。故于(yu)(yu)往生(sheng)(sheng)清凈(jing)佛國(guo)(guo),意(yi)志猶(you)豫,無(wu)(wu)(wu)所(suo)(suo)專據。然猶(you)續念(nian)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕(jue)。結其善(shan)愿(yuan)為本,續得往生(sheng)(sheng)。是(shi)諸人(ren)等,以此(ci)(ci)因緣,雖生(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)(bi)國(guo)(guo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能前(qian)至無(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽所(suo)(suo)。道止佛國(guo)(guo)界邊(bian),七寶(bao)(bao)城中(zhong)(zhong)。佛不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)使爾(er),身(shen)行所(suo)(suo)作,心(xin)(xin)自(zi)趣向(xiang)。亦有(you)寶(bao)(bao)池蓮(lian)華,自(zi)然受身(shen)。飲食快樂,如(ru)忉利天。于(yu)(yu)其城中(zhong)(zhong),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能得出。所(suo)(suo)居舍宅在地,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能隨意(yi)高大(da)。于(yu)(yu)五百歲,常不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)佛,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)聞經法(fa),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)菩薩聲(sheng)聞圣眾。其人(ren)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming),知(zhi)經復少(shao)。心(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開解,意(yi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)歡樂。是(shi)故于(yu)(yu)彼(bi)(bi)謂之(zhi)(zhi)胎生(sheng)(sheng)。若有(you)眾生(sheng)(sheng),明(ming)信佛智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),乃至勝(sheng)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi),斷(duan)除(chu)疑惑(huo)(huo)(huo)(huo),信己(ji)善(shan)根,作諸功(gong)德,至心(xin)(xin)回向(xiang)。皆(jie)于(yu)(yu)七寶(bao)(bao)華中(zhong)(zhong),自(zi)然化(hua)(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),跏趺而坐(zuo)。須臾(yu)之(zhi)(zhi)頃(qing),身(shen)相光明(ming),智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧功(gong)德,如(ru)諸菩薩,具足成(cheng)就。彌(mi)勒當(dang)知(zhi),彼(bi)(bi)化(hua)(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧勝(sheng)故。其胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),五百歲中(zhong)(zhong),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)見(jian)三寶(bao)(bao),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)菩薩法(fa)式,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得修(xiu)習功(gong)德,無(wu)(wu)(wu)因奉(feng)事無(wu)(wu)(wu)量壽佛。當(dang)知(zhi)此(ci)(ci)人(ren),宿世之(zhi)(zhi)時,無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)智(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)慧,疑惑(huo)(huo)(huo)(huo)所(suo)(suo)致。
【譯文】釋迦牟(mou)尼佛告訴彌勒菩(pu)薩(sa)道(dao):“比如有的(de)(de)(de)眾生用疑(yi)(yi)惑(huo)的(de)(de)(de)態(tai)度(du)去修種種功德,愿往(wang)(wang)(wang)生西(xi)方(fang)(fang)極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界,他(ta)們(men)不(bu)理解佛智(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)可稱智(zhi)(zhi)、大乘廣(guang)智(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)(deng)(deng)無(wu)倫(lun)最上(shang)勝智(zhi)(zhi)的(de)(de)(de)奧妙,對于這(zhe)些佛智(zhi)(zhi)持懷疑(yi)(yi)而(er)不(bu)相(xiang)信(xin)的(de)(de)(de)態(tai)度(du),不(bu)過他(ta)們(men)還(huan)相(xiang)信(xin)五逆十惡(e)等(deng)(deng)(deng)重罪以(yi)(yi)及五戒十善(shan)等(deng)(deng)(deng)福(fu)業(ye),能(neng)(neng)(neng)造成(cheng)因(yin)果報應,因(yin)而(er)修習為(wei)善(shan)功德,愿往(wang)(wang)(wang)生極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界;還(huan)有的(de)(de)(de)眾生,積累功德善(shan)根(gen),希望求得佛智(zhi)(zhi)、普遍智(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等(deng)(deng)(deng)智(zhi)(zhi)、威德廣(guang)大不(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi),但(dan)對自(zi)(zi)己的(de)(de)(de)善(shan)根(gen)卻不(bu)能(neng)(neng)(neng)堅定信(xin)心,因(yin)此,對于是否能(neng)(neng)(neng)往(wang)(wang)(wang)生西(xi)方(fang)(fang)極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界,意志猶豫而(er)不(bu)堅定,對于自(zi)(zi)修善(shan)根(gen),尚不(bu)能(neng)(neng)(neng)一心信(xin)奉(feng),因(yin)而(er)對于往(wang)(wang)(wang)生佛國凈土,只(zhi)是半信(xin)半疑(yi)(yi),不(bu)能(neng)(neng)(neng)一心專(zhuan)念(nian),但(dan)他(ta)畢竟能(neng)(neng)(neng)夠繼(ji)續念(nian)佛不(bu)絕,以(yi)(yi)念(nian)佛力結成(cheng)其往(wang)(wang)(wang)生極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界的(de)(de)(de)善(shan)愿,以(yi)(yi)發愿力為(wei)依據(ju),仍得以(yi)(yi)往(wang)(wang)(wang)生西(xi)方(fang)(fang)極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界。
“上述二類人,以他們(men)(men)的(de)因緣雖(sui)得以往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)西方極(ji)樂(le)(le)世界(jie),但不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)到(dao)(dao)達(da)無量壽佛(fo)的(de)住(zhu)(zhu)所(suo)(suo)。他們(men)(men)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)的(de)路(lu)只(zhi)到(dao)(dao)極(ji)樂(le)(le)世界(jie)邊(bian)界(jie)上的(de)七寶城中(zhong),這(zhe)(zhe)并不(bu)(bu)是阿彌(mi)(mi)陀佛(fo)造(zao)成的(de)。能(neng)(neng)否到(dao)(dao)達(da)佛(fo)地(di)取(qu)決于他們(men)(men)自(zi)身(shen)的(de)行(xing)為,取(qu)決于他們(men)(men)的(de)內心取(qu)向。也有犯有疑(yi)惑的(de)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)者從寶池(chi)蓮花中(zhong)自(zi)然受(shou)身(shen),這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)到(dao)(dao)邊(bian)界(jie)疑(yi)城中(zhong)的(de)眾生(sheng),飲食方面的(de)快樂(le)(le)有如忉利天(tian),但其在七寶城中(zhong)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)得以外出,只(zhi)能(neng)(neng)居住(zhu)(zhu)在平地(di)住(zhu)(zhu)宅中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)像其他極(ji)樂(le)(le)世界(jie)的(de)圣眾那(nei)樣(yang)隨意上升虛空。在五(wu)百年之中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)見到(dao)(dao)阿彌(mi)(mi)陀佛(fo),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)聽聞(wen)佛(fo)說經法,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)見到(dao)(dao)菩薩、聲聞(wen)圣眾。這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)人雖(sui)有小智而不(bu)(bu)明達(da),對于佛(fo)法經典又知之不(bu)(bu)多,心靈不(bu)(bu)得開解,精神不(bu)(bu)得歡樂(le)(le),所(suo)(suo)以邊(bian)地(di)疑(yi)城中(zhong)稱這(zhe)(zhe)些(xie)人為‘胎生(sheng)’。
“也有(you)眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)明確地信奉(feng)佛智(zhi)、乃至勝(sheng)智(zhi),斷(duan)除對(dui)佛的(de)所有(you)疑惑;同時(shi)也堅(jian)信自(zi)己(ji)的(de)善(shan)(shan)根,從而作諸(zhu)功德善(shan)(shan)事,全心全意地回(hui)向(xiang)凈土,這(zhe)些眾(zhong)(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)便(bian)全都得于七寶蓮花(hua)中(zhong)自(zi)然化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),結(jie)跏趺而坐。片(pian)刻之(zhi)間,身相(xiang)形貌放射(she)光明,其人智(zhi)慧功德,具足如同諸(zhu)菩(pu)薩。彌勒你(ni)應當知道(dao),這(zhe)些化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)之(zhi)所以得化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng),是他(ta)們的(de)智(zhi)慧超過上述胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)。胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),在五百年中(zhong)不(bu)得見(jian)佛法僧三寶,不(bu)得見(jian)菩(pu)薩作法儀式,不(bu)得修(xiu)習功德,不(bu)能得到(dao)奉(feng)事無量壽佛的(de)條件。應當知道(dao),這(zhe)是因為這(zhe)些人在前世的(de)時(shi)候,沒有(you)智(zhi)慧而心生(sheng)(sheng)疑惑所造成。”
