【原文】其智宏深,譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)巨海;菩(pu)提高廣,喻若須彌;自身威光,超于(yu)日月(yue);其心潔(jie)白,猶如(ru)(ru)(ru)雪山(shan);忍辱(ru)如(ru)(ru)(ru)地(di)(di),一切平等(deng);清凈如(ru)(ru)(ru)水,洗諸(zhu)(zhu)塵垢;熾盛如(ru)(ru)(ru)火,燒煩(fan)惱薪;不(bu)著(zhu)如(ru)(ru)(ru)風,無(wu)諸(zhu)(zhu)障礙。法音雷震,覺(jue)未(wei)覺(jue)故;雨甘露法,潤眾生(sheng)(sheng)故;曠若虛(xu)空,大慈等(deng)故;如(ru)(ru)(ru)凈蓮華,離(li)(li)染(ran)污故;如(ru)(ru)(ru)尼拘樹,覆(fu)蔭(yin)大故;如(ru)(ru)(ru)金(jin)剛(gang)杵,破(po)邪執故;如(ru)(ru)(ru)鐵圍山(shan),眾魔(mo)外(wai)道不(bu)能動故。其心正直(zhi),善(shan)巧決定;論法無(wu)厭,求法不(bu)倦(juan);戒若琉璃(li),內(nei)外(wai)明潔(jie);其所(suo)言說(shuo),令眾悅(yue)服。擊法鼓,建法幢(chuang),曜(yao)慧日,破(po)癡暗。淳凈溫和,寂(ji)定明察。為(wei)大導師,調伏自他。引導群(qun)生(sheng)(sheng),舍諸(zhu)(zhu)愛著(zhu)。永離(li)(li)三垢,游戲神通。因(yin)緣愿力,出(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)善(shan)根。摧(cui)伏一切魔(mo)軍,尊重(zhong)奉事諸(zhu)(zhu)佛。為(wei)世明燈(deng),最勝福田,殊勝吉祥(xiang),堪受供(gong)養。赫奕歡喜,雄猛無(wu)畏。身色相(xiang)好,功(gong)德(de)辯才,具足(zu)莊嚴,無(wu)與等(deng)者。常(chang)為(wei)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛所(suo)共稱贊。究竟(jing)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa)諸(zhu)(zhu)波(bo)羅蜜,而常(chang)安(an)住不(bu)生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)滅諸(zhu)(zhu)三摩地(di)(di)。行遍道場,遠(yuan)二乘境。阿難(nan),我今(jin)略(lve)說(shuo)彼極樂界,所(suo)生(sheng)(sheng)菩(pu)薩(sa)(sa),真實功(gong)德(de),悉皆如(ru)(ru)(ru)是。若廣說(shuo)者,百千(qian)萬(wan)劫不(bu)能窮盡。
【譯文】極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)智(zhi)慧宏(hong)大深廣,猶(you)(you)如(ru)大海;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)提覺悟的(de)(de)高廣宏(hong)大,有如(ru)妙高山;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)自身顯發的(de)(de)威嚴之(zhi)光,超(chao)過了(le)太陽(yang)和月亮(liang);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)心境的(de)(de)潔凈(jing)無(wu)垢(gou),又(you)像那(nei)潔白(bai)的(de)(de)大雪山;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)忍受(shou)侮辱的(de)(de)精神,與(yu)那(nei)默(mo)默(mo)承負一切重荷的(de)(de)大地一樣:大地載物不(bu)(bu)分(fen)輕重,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)度人(ren)也(ye)(ye)不(bu)(bu)分(fen)親疏;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)清(qing)(qing)凈(jing)境界(jie)(jie),可與(yu)除塵(chen)洗(xi)(xi)垢(gou)的(de)(de)清(qing)(qing)水(shui)(shui)相比:清(qing)(qing)水(shui)(shui)溪流可洗(xi)(xi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)塵(chen),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)清(qing)(qing)凈(jing)可洗(xi)(xi)心塵(chen);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)智(zhi)慧熾(chi)盛,如(ru)同火(huo)焰:智(zhi)慧之(zhi)火(huo)燒盡煩惱之(zhi)薪柴;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)不(bu)(bu)執著的(de)(de)品(pin)性(xing)如(ru)同大風:風拂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),無(wu)所不(bu)(bu)到,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)行(xing)遍(bian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),自由(you)自在而(er)無(wu)所障礙;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)宣講傳布(bu)的(de)(de)佛法(fa)大音,加同雷聲遠達,震(zhen)醒了(le)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間癡迷而(er)未覺悟之(zhi)人(ren);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)教法(fa)猶(you)(you)如(ru)甘露:甘露滋潤(run)大地萬物,佛法(fa)滋潤(run)眾(zhong)生心靈;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)平等慈悲猶(you)(you)如(ru)虛空:虛空廣大無(wu)邊無(wu)際(ji),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)慈悲也(ye)(ye)無(wu)邊無(wu)際(ji)蔭庇眾(zhong)生;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)品(pin)格猶(you)(you)如(ru)白(bai)蓮:蓮花(hua)不(bu)(bu)離(li)污泥但又(you)出污泥而(er)不(bu)(bu)染,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)不(bu)(bu)舍眾(zhong)生,但身處濁世(shi)(shi)(shi)穢土而(er)仍(reng)然清(qing)(qing)凈(jing);菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)胸懷猶(you)(you)如(ru)尼(ni)枸樹:尼(ni)枸樹寬闊而(er)遮陽(yang)蔽(bi)日(ri),菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)胸懷也(ye)(ye)能(neng)蔭庇眾(zhong)生;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)銳利猶(you)(you)如(ru)金剛杵(chu):金剛杵(chu)能(neng)摧毀一切鎧甲,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)般若妙智(zhi)也(ye)(ye)能(neng)退(tui);切煩惱魔軍;菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)們(men)的(de)(de)堅(jian)(jian)強猶(you)(you)如(ru)鐵(tie)圍(wei)山:鐵(tie)圍(wei)山堅(jian)(jian)固不(bu)(bu)為一切所摧,菩(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)(pu)薩(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)(sa)的(de)(de)堅(jian)(jian)強,也(ye)(ye)不(bu)(bu)為眾(zhong)魔外道所動搖(yao)。
極(ji)樂世界菩薩之(zhi)心,方廣平正;順遂機宜,巧行(xing)權便,講論佛(fo)(fo)經從不生厭,追求(qiu)佛(fo)(fo)法(fa)不知疲(pi)倦;持戒凈(jing)潔,譬如(ru)琉璃清徹;心意行(xing)動(dong),光明(ming)(ming)磊(lei)落,明(ming)(ming)鑒表(biao)里;菩薩們(men)所說之(zhi)法(fa),使大家(jia)心悅誠服;法(fa)音震響,猶如(ru)擊鼓(gu);威德(de)摧邪,猶如(ru)建法(fa)之(zhi)幢;智慧照迷,猶如(ru)燦爛(lan)太陽。破除無明(ming)(ming)造成(cheng)的癡惑,建成(cheng)無貪無求(qiu)的淳靜心境;其(qi)禪定智慧溫(wen)和(he),纖毫明(ming)(ming)察,能入實(shi)際之(zhi)理體。作為大導(dao)師,調(diao)伏抑(yi)制自己和(he)他人的不安之(zhi)心。引導(dao)群(qun)生,舍離(li)拋(pao)棄諸多愛欲物(wu)著(zhu),永遠離(li)開貪、瞋(chen)、癡三種污(wu)垢(gou),運任游戲于神通之(zhi)中。
極樂(le)世(shi)界的(de)菩薩們因(yin)為(wei)(wei)過去所修之(zhi)善的(de)因(yin)緣力,積(ji)累功德(de)(de)生出牢不可破的(de)堅固善心,摧(cui)毀和(he)降伏一(yi)(yi)切(qie)惡魔大軍。尊重(zhong)待(dai)奉諸佛(fo);成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)照耀世(shi)界的(de)明燈;得(de)世(shi)間眾(zhong)生供(gong)養,成(cheng)為(wei)(wei)世(shi)間眾(zhong)生最(zui)好(hao)的(de)福田。菩薩們具有文殊大士(shi)那樣的(de)智(zhi)德(de)(de),堪(kan)受一(yi)(yi)切(qie)有情供(gong)養。他們威(wei)光顯(xian)赫(he),神采奕(yi)(yi)奕(yi)(yi),面(mian)貌(mao)和(he)悅,內心歡喜,雄健勇猛,無畏無懼,其音(yin)容(rong)相(xiang)貌(mao)非同一(yi)(yi)般,又有無量的(de)功德(de)(de)和(he)無礙的(de)雄辯才(cai)能(neng)莊嚴其身(shen),如此種(zhong)種(zhong),實(shi)在(zai)找(zhao)不到能(neng)與之(zhi)媲美(mei)的(de)了。
“西方極(ji)樂(le)世界的(de)菩薩(sa)們(men)時(shi)時(shi)得到諸(zhu)佛的(de)共同(tong)稱(cheng)贊,他們(men)探究完(wan)成諸(zhu)菩薩(sa)該修(xiu)的(de)覺悟(wu),而(er)永(yong)遠(yuan)處于不生(sheng)不滅的(de)涅盤正定的(de)狀態(tai),在一切道場中遍修(xiu)所有功(gong)行,遠(yuan)遠(yuan)超離聲聞、緣(yuan)覺二乘的(de)境界。阿難(nan)!我(wo)現在只是(shi)略略提一下,那(nei)極(ji)樂(le)世界中菩薩(sa)們(men)的(de)真實功(gong)德,大體上(shang)如(ru)我(wo)以上(shang)所說,但若要廣泛和詳細地介紹(shao),即使(shi)說上(shang)百千(qian)萬個時(shi)劫(jie)也難(nan)以說完(wan)呢!”
【原文】佛告彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩(sa)、諸天人等:無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽國(guo),聲聞菩薩(sa),功德智慧,不(bu)(bu)可(ke)稱說。又其(qi)國(guo)土微妙安(an)(an)樂,清凈(jing)若(ruo)此。何不(bu)(bu)力為(wei)善(shan),念(nian)道(dao)(dao)之(zhi)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)。出入(ru)供(gong)養(yang),觀經行(xing)道(dao)(dao)。喜樂久習,才猛智慧。心(xin)不(bu)(bu)中(zhong)回,意無(wu)(wu)(wu)懈時。外若(ruo)遲緩,內獨駛(shi)急。容容虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),適得(de)(de)其(qi)中(zhong)。中(zhong)表(biao)相(xiang)(xiang)應,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)嚴整。檢斂端直,身心(xin)潔凈(jing)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)愛貪,志(zhi)(zhi)愿(yuan)安(an)(an)定。無(wu)(wu)(wu)增缺減(jian),求(qiu)道(dao)(dao)和正。不(bu)(bu)誤傾邪,隨(sui)經約令。不(bu)(bu)敢蹉跌,若(ruo)于(yu)繩(sheng)墨。咸為(wei)道(dao)(dao)慕(mu),曠(kuang)無(wu)(wu)(wu)他念(nian)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)憂思,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)無(wu)(wu)(wu)為(wei)。虛(xu)(xu)空(kong)無(wu)(wu)(wu)立,淡安(an)(an)無(wu)(wu)(wu)欲。作得(de)(de)善(shan)愿(yuan),盡心(xin)求(qiu)索(suo)。含哀慈愍(min),禮(li)義(yi)都合。苞羅表(biao)里,過(guo)度解脫。自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)保守,真真潔白。志(zhi)(zhi)愿(yuan)無(wu)(wu)(wu)上,凈(jing)定安(an)(an)樂。一旦(dan)開達明徹,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)中(zhong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)相(xiang)(xiang),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)之(zhi)有(you)根本,自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)光色參回,轉變(bian)最(zui)勝(sheng)(sheng)。郁單成七寶(bao),橫攬成萬物。光精(jing)明俱出,善(shan)好殊無(wu)(wu)(wu)比。著于(yu)無(wu)(wu)(wu)上下,洞(dong)達無(wu)(wu)(wu)邊際。宜(yi)各勤精(jing)進(jin),努力自(zi)(zi)(zi)求(qiu)之(zhi)。必(bi)得(de)(de)超絕去(qu),往生(sheng)無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)清凈(jing)阿彌(mi)陀佛國(guo)。橫截于(yu)五趣,惡(e)道(dao)(dao)自(zi)(zi)(zi)閉塞(sai)。無(wu)(wu)(wu)極之(zhi)勝(sheng)(sheng)道(dao)(dao),易往而無(wu)(wu)(wu)人。其(qi)國(guo)不(bu)(bu)逆違(wei),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)所(suo)牽隨(sui)。捐志(zhi)(zhi)若(ruo)虛(xu)(xu)空(kong),勤行(xing)求(qiu)道(dao)(dao)德。可(ke)得(de)(de)極長生(sheng),壽樂無(wu)(wu)(wu)有(you)極。何為(wei)著世事,譊譊憂無(wu)(wu)(wu)常。
【譯文】釋加牟(mou)尼佛又轉而對彌勒菩薩(sa)和諸在座的(de)(de)天(tian)人等說道(dao):“無(wu)量壽佛國中的(de)(de)聲聞、菩薩(sa)功(gong)德(de)智(zhi)慧無(wu)量,是沒有(you)辦法(fa)表(biao)述得清的(de)(de)。還有(you),其國土如此微(wei)妙,安樂和清凈,你們為什么不(bu)勉力(li)行(xing)善(shan),又以所積累的(de)(de)善(shan)功(gong)德(de)回向(xiang)凈土,自(zi)然(ran)生發往生凈土之念,由念引導而往生極樂世(shi)界(jie)呢?
“極(ji)(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)菩薩、聲聞(wen)等(deng)會眾,出入(ru)于(yu)(yu)十方(fang)世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)供(gong)養諸(zhu)佛(fo),閱讀藏經,修行佛(fo)事,皆(jie)樂于(yu)(yu)長(chang)久(jiu)如(ru)此。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)才能超世(shi)(shi),智(zhi)慧(hui)圓融(rong),心(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)沒(mei)有(you)(you)退(tui)轉(zhuan)的(de)(de)(de)(de)念頭(tou),意志沒(mei)有(you)(you)片刻懈(xie)怠放逸;外表(biao)看去(qu)安閑沉穩,內心(xin)(xin)卻急速地(di)精(jing)進不(bu)已。心(xin)(xin)同(tong)于(yu)(yu)虛(xu)空(kong),沒(mei)有(you)(you)一(yi)物而又能容下萬(wan)物,沒(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際而又能建立凈(jing)土,非空(kong)非有(you)(you),適得(de)(de)不(bu)落兩邊(bian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)道(dao)。聲聞(wen)、菩薩們(men)(men)適得(de)(de)中(zhong)(zhong)道(dao)之(zhi)(zhi)內心(xin)(xin),顯示在表(biao)情上,表(biao)里相(xiang)映煥(huan)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)成(cheng)輝,自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)而又嚴整;檢束身體的(de)(de)(de)(de)姿態表(biao)情,收斂(lian)心(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)(de)(de)思維意念;外表(biao)端莊(zhuang),內心(xin)(xin)正(zheng)直(zhi),身心(xin)(xin)潔凈(jing),沒(mei)有(you)(you)愛欲貪染;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)志向誓愿,堅定不(bu)移而無些微缺(que)減;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)所(suo)追求的(de)(de)(de)(de)大道(dao),平和中(zhong)(zhong)正(zheng),永不(bu)會誤入(ru)狹路以至邪道(dao);他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)隨(sui)順經中(zhong)(zhong)言和戒(jie)律(lv),自(zi)(zi)覺接受約束規(gui)定,不(bu)敢放逸而失足逾界(jie)(jie),有(you)(you)如(ru)木工操作遵循(xun)墨線,循(xun)規(gui)蹈矩(ju);他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)心(xin)(xin)所(suo)企慕,皆(jie)是正(zheng)真(zhen)至道(dao),沒(mei)有(you)(you)其他(ta)(ta)妄念雜念拂亂,沒(mei)有(you)(you)什么(me)憂慮之(zhi)(zhi)思干擾;他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)安住于(yu)(yu)無為(wei)法中(zhong)(zhong),心(xin)(xin)志有(you)(you)如(ru)虛(xu)空(kong)無有(you)(you)一(yi)物,淡泊安寧不(bu)染物欲;以此結成(cheng)大愿,盡心(xin)(xin)盡力地(di)前去(qu)求索。再者(zhe),這些極(ji)(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)的(de)(de)(de)(de)會眾心(xin)(xin)懷(huai)慈悲哀憫,契合世(shi)(shi)間道(dao)德,融(rong)洽(qia)現(xian)(xian)(xian)象本質,自(zi)(zi)度(du)度(du)他(ta)(ta),均得(de)(de)解脫生(sheng)(sheng)死(si)。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)任運自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran),保守本來善性(xing)潔白無染,志向愿心(xin)(xin)甚(shen)為(wei)高尚,住于(yu)(yu)寂定而安然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)自(zi)(zi)適,日積月累,便能在一(yi)旦之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)(zhong)毫不(bu)勉強地(di)契合自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)實相(xiang),把握根本的(de)(de)(de)(de)道(dao)理。這些聲聞(wen)、菩薩之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)(xin)如(ru)同(tong)神(shen)奇(qi)珍寶(bao),自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)光和自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)之(zhi)(zhi)色(se)相(xiang)互滲(shen)入(ru)、回轉(zhuan)變化,超過十方(fang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)眾寶(bao)。北方(fang)大洲(zhou)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)生(sheng)(sheng)出七寶(bao),橫空(kong)中(zhong)(zhong)自(zi)(zi)然(ran)(ran)(ran)(ran)涌(yong)現(xian)(xian)(xian)出萬(wan)物,光明、精(jing)妙、明凈(jing)齊顯并現(xian)(xian)(xian),諸(zhu)善眾好(hao),無與倫比,皆(jie)由極(ji)(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)會眾的(de)(de)(de)(de)凈(jing)心(xin)(xin)生(sheng)(sheng)出。他(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)智(zhi)慧(hui)明證理體無有(you)(you)高下,洞達事相(xiang)沒(mei)有(you)(you)邊(bian)際。”
釋(shi)迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo)介紹極(ji)(ji)樂世(shi)界人眾的(de)功德智慧,又為喚醒法(fa)會大(da)眾說(shuo):“你們應各自精進勤修(xiu),努(nu)力自求真如(ru)本心,必得(de)超脫輪回,斷除(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)死,往生(sheng)(sheng)到無(wu)量(liang)清凈(jing)的(de)阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛(fo)(fo)凈(jing)土。到那時,頓(dun)舍娑婆世(shi)界五道(dao)輪回,諸多惡道(dao)之門自然(ran)關(guan)閉(bi);這凈(jing)土法(fa)門是(shi)最勝之道(dao),雖然(ran)易(yi)得(de)往生(sheng)(sheng),可穢土修(xiu)行的(de)人卻很少。十方(fang)(fang)無(wu)窮極(ji)(ji)的(de)眾生(sheng)(sheng)得(de)益于(yu)(yu)佛(fo)(fo)國毫無(wu)逆違往生(sheng)(sheng)的(de)性質(另一解釋(shi):西方(fang)(fang)凈(jing)土敞開大(da)門,攝受接納(na)十方(fang)(fang)一切眾生(sheng)(sheng),然(ran)而,娑婆眾生(sheng)(sheng)久(jiu)在(zai)煩惱纏縛之中,貪戀世(shi)樂,不生(sheng)(sheng)厭離,陷于(yu)(yu)自身結構(gou)性的(de)困境,焉得(de)往生(sheng)(sheng)?)。大(da)家捐除(chu)煩惱,其志(zhi)應如(ru)虛空,凈(jing)無(wu)垢(gou)染(ran),勤奮修(xiu)行,進道(dao)增德,便(bian)可以在(zai)凈(jing)土獲得(de)長生(sheng)(sheng)不老,和極(ji)(ji)樂世(shi)界人眾一樣(yang)長壽安樂,生(sheng)(sheng)命無(wu)有極(ji)(ji)限。既如(ru)此,為什么還要貪著世(shi)間(jian)俗事(shi)俗利(li),沒完沒了地憂慮,為世(shi)間(jian)無(wu)常所(suo)折磨(mo)呢?”
【原文】世人共(gong)爭(zheng)不急之(zhi)務(wu),于(yu)此(ci)劇惡極苦(ku)之(zhi)中,勤身營務(wu),以(yi)自給濟。尊卑、貧富(fu)、少長(chang)、男女,累(lei)念(nian)積慮,為心(xin)走使。無田憂田,無宅憂宅,眷(juan)屬財物,有(you)無同憂。有(you)一(yi)少一(yi),思欲齊等(deng),適小具有(you),又憂非常。水火(huo)盜賊,怨(yuan)家債主,焚(fen)漂(piao)劫(jie)奪(duo),消散磨滅(mie)。心(xin)慳意固,無能縱舍。
命終棄捐,莫誰隨者。貧(pin)富同然,憂苦萬端。
世間人民,父子兄弟夫婦親屬,當(dang)相(xiang)敬愛(ai),無相(xiang)憎嫉。有無相(xiang)通(tong),無得貪惜。言色常和,莫相(xiang)違戾。或時心諍(zheng),有所恚怒。后世轉劇(ju),至成大怨。世間之(zhi)事,更相(xiang)患害(hai),雖不臨(lin)時,應急想破(po)。
人在愛欲(yu)之(zhi)中,獨(du)(du)生(sheng)(sheng)獨(du)(du)死(si),獨(du)(du)去獨(du)(du)來,苦樂自當,無有(you)代者。善(shan)惡變化,追逐所生(sheng)(sheng),道路不(bu)同,會見(jian)無期。何(he)不(bu)于強健時,努力修善(shan),欲(yu)何(he)待乎?
世人善(shan)惡自不能(neng)見,吉(ji)兇(xiong)禍福(fu),競各(ge)作之。身愚神(shen)暗,轉受余教(jiao)。顛倒相(xiang)續,無(wu)常根本(ben)。蒙(meng)冥抵(di)突,不信經法。心無(wu)遠慮,各(ge)欲快意。迷(mi)于瞋恚,貪于財色。終(zhong)不休止,哀(ai)哉可傷!先人不善(shan),不識道德,無(wu)有語者,殊(shu)無(wu)怪(guai)也(ye)。
死生(sheng)之(zhi)趣,善惡之(zhi)道,都不(bu)之(zhi)信,謂無(wu)有是(shi)。更相(xiang)瞻(zhan)視,且自見之(zhi)。或父哭子,或子哭父,兄弟夫婦,更相(xiang)哭泣。一(yi)死一(yi)生(sheng),迭(die)相(xiang)顧戀。憂(you)愛結(jie)縛,無(wu)有解時。思(si)想恩好,不(bu)離(li)情欲(yu)。不(bu)能(neng)深思(si)熟(shu)計,專精行道。年壽旋盡,無(wu)可(ke)奈何。
惑道(dao)者眾,悟道(dao)者少。各(ge)懷殺毒,惡氣冥(ming)冥(ming)。為妄(wang)興事,違逆(ni)天地。恣(zi)意罪極(ji),頓奪其壽。下入惡道(dao),無有出期。
若(ruo)曹當熟(shu)思計,遠離眾惡。擇其善者(zhe),勤而行之。愛欲(yu)(yu)榮華,不可(ke)常保,皆當別離,無可(ke)樂(le)者(zhe)。當勤精進,生安樂(le)國。智(zhi)慧明(ming)達,功德殊勝。勿得隨心(xin)所欲(yu)(yu),虧負經(jing)戒,在人后也(ye)。
【譯文】“世間的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)們(men)都在(zai)(zai)計較那瑣(suo)細無益的(de)(de)(de)世利俗務,在(zai)(zai)此苦痛(tong)不(bu)堪(kan)的(de)(de)(de)五惡世間,辛勤勞(lao)作(zuo),經營(ying)生計,以求自給,于苦中求快樂;世間蕓蕓眾(zhong)生中,無論大(da)人(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu)(wu)或(huo)小人(ren)(ren)(ren)物(wu)(wu),富人(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)窮人(ren)(ren)(ren),少年或(huo)老人(ren)(ren)(ren),男人(ren)(ren)(ren)或(huo)女人(ren)(ren)(ren),種種一切(qie)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren),都因為貪欲(yu)(yu)(yu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)念長期(qi)累積,處(chu)心積慮(lv)只(zhi)求一快,其(qi)實貪欲(yu)(yu)(yu)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心不(bu)過導致奔(ben)波勞(lao)碌(liu)。沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)田(tian)地的(de)(de)(de)想要得(de)(de)田(tian)地,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)房(fang)屋(wu)的(de)(de)(de)想要得(de)(de)房(fang)屋(wu),沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)家眷(juan)、親屬、妻室兒女以及沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)財物(wu)(wu)、產業、珍寶(bao)、器物(wu)(wu)的(de)(de)(de),也(ye)(ye)都處(chu)心積慮(lv),盤算(suan)鉆營(ying),必欲(yu)(yu)(yu)據(ju)有(you)(you)而后心安。沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)有(you)(you)所憂苦,已有(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)(ren)也(ye)(ye)不(bu)得(de)(de)安逸(yi)。有(you)(you)一些財物(wu)(wu)反而欲(yu)(yu)(yu)海(hai)難填(tian),希望(wang)再多(duo)得(de)(de)一星半點。有(you)(you)了一件(jian)的(de)(de)(de)覺得(de)(de)一件(jian)太(tai)少,有(you)(you)了兩件(jian)的(de)(de)(de)又覺得(de)(de)兩件(jian)還少,欲(yu)(yu)(yu)望(wang)和獲取,總是相(xiang)逐相(xiang)長,沒(mei)(mei)(mei)有(you)(you)止(zhi)境。才達到小有(you)(you)資(zi)產,旋(xuan)即擔(dan)心遭遇損(sun)失;害怕(pa)(pa)火災焚(fen)燒,害怕(pa)(pa)水(shui)災流漂,害怕(pa)(pa)盜(dao)賊偷竊,害怕(pa)(pa)土匪劫奪,害怕(pa)(pa)冤(yuan)家仇(chou)殺,害怕(pa)(pa)債主催逼。憂懼之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)中,清凈本心在(zai)(zai)此消(xiao)散(san)磨滅。慳吝之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)心,反倒(dao)越(yue)來越(yue)頑(wan)固,煩惱纏縛,在(zai)(zai)泥坑中越(yue)陷越(yue)深。
“世(shi)(shi)間(jian)一(yi)切人命(ming)終之時(shi),不管你有(you)多(duo)少(shao)眷屬,積(ji)存了多(duo)少(shao)財寶,全部要舍(she)離拋棄。你所鐘愛的物也罷(ba),人也罷(ba),都不會隨你去那另一(yi)世(shi)(shi)間(jian);即或去到另一(yi)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)也不能同你在一(yi)起。富人和窮人,在此陰間(jian)地下也都平等無差,個中憂(you)苦,萬端無盡(jin)。
“世(shi)間的人(ren)民——父子(zi)、兄弟、夫(fu)婦(fu)、親屬(shu),應當相(xiang)(xiang)互尊敬友愛,不(bu)要相(xiang)(xiang)互憎恨與嫉(ji)妒;應當互相(xiang)(xiang)幫助(zhu)救護,有什么財(cai)物(wu)要互相(xiang)(xiang)周(zhou)濟,不(bu)要貪圖吝惜;應當說話和氣,和顏悅色,互尊互敬,不(bu)要背逆斗狠;一時(shi)生起爭(zheng)(zheng)訟之心,心里(li)不(bu)免(mian)嗔恚忿怒,惡(e)意(yi)愈演愈烈(lie),最終結成(cheng)大恨深仇;世(shi)間若冤(yuan)冤(yuan)相(xiang)(xiang)報,更會結成(cheng)丈(zhang)冤(yuan)大孽(nie),兩(liang)家(jia)相(xiang)(xiang)爭(zheng)(zheng),雙方都招禍害(hai);即令有時(shi)報應沒有立即顯現,還以為自己占了上風(feng),但因果相(xiang)(xiang)生,從(cong)來不(bu)爽,惡(e)報只是時(shi)間問題(ti)。眾生應當想透這個道理而立即破除恚恨,棄惡(e)向善。
“人(ren)(ren)沉溺在情愛貪(tan)欲之中(zhong),獨身而(er)來,孤獨而(er)死(si),生無人(ren)(ren)相隨,死(si)無人(ren)(ren)陪伴,苦樂之果(guo)報(bao),都是自作自受,沒有(you)誰能代替,也無人(ren)(ren)可以除(chu)免。善(shan)與惡(e)的循環果(guo)報(bao)千變萬化,追從(cong)相隨,直(zhi)到來生來世(shi)。雖是親眷家屬(shu),善(shan)有(you)善(shan)報(bao),惡(e)有(you)惡(e)報(bao),善(shan)生善(shan)趣,惡(e)降惡(e)道,若積業(ye)有(you)差,生處(chu)也就不同,到那時便無從(cong)會(hui)見,何(he)不趁此強健在世(shi)之時,努力修行善(shan)道,還將等(deng)到什(shen)么時候?
“世(shi)(shi)間之人因為(wei)不(bu)能夠認識什(shen)(shen)(shen)么(me)(me)(me)是(shi)善,什(shen)(shen)(shen)么(me)(me)(me)是(shi)惡(e),各(ge)以自己的(de)(de)愚(yu)癡(chi),妄加(jia)分別猜(cai)測吉兇禍福,競相(xiang)造作(zuo)惡(e)業(ye),身作(zuo)愚(yu)行,頭腦(nao)中一(yi)(yi)片黑暗,不(bu)信受(shou)經法,反而(er)接受(shou)其他的(de)(de)外道邪說。如(ru)是(shi)的(de)(de)顛倒之見,相(xiang)續不(bu)絕,成為(wei)生死無(wu)常輪(lun)回(hui)的(de)(de)根(gen)本(ben)動力,這就像(xiang)蒙上(shang)眼睛什(shen)(shen)(shen)么(me)(me)(me)也看不(bu)見,卻一(yi)(yi)味(wei)胡(hu)沖亂闖。不(bu)信受(shou)佛教(jiao)(jiao)經法,心(xin)便沒有(you)遠慮,一(yi)(yi)心(xin)追求于現(xian)世(shi)(shi)之樂;癡(chi)迷于瞋恚(hui)忿怒(nu)而(er)不(bu)自覺,貪吝財物女(nv)色而(er)以為(wei)欣然。肆無(wu)忌憚,沒有(you)終了之時,真正悲哀,實在可憐(lian)!上(shang)輩愚(yu)癡(chi),不(bu)知(zhi)(zhi)佛道,不(bu)懂道德(de),不(bu)對后輩進行教(jiao)(jiao)導,世(shi)(shi)代惡(e)業(ye)相(xiang)襲,癡(chi)頑(wan)無(wu)知(zhi)(zhi),世(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)作(zuo)惡(e)受(shou)報,就沒有(you)什(shen)(shen)(shen)么(me)(me)(me)可奇(qi)怪的(de)(de)了。
“世間之(zhi)人,對生(sheng)死(si)輪回于(yu)六(liu)道,前生(sheng)積善(shan),下世得善(shan),前生(sheng)積惡,下世得惡的規律,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)信(xin)奉受(shou),以為并沒有因(yin)果報應。更(geng)有甚者,看到別(bie)人死(si)了袖手旁(pang)觀,無(wu)(wu)動于(yu)衷,殊不(bu)(bu)知生(sheng)死(si)之(zhi)事遲早(zao)必(bi)然要落到自(zi)己頭上。父子、兄弟、夫婦(fu)等親屬死(si)別(bie)之(zhi)時,相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)互哭泣。相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)愛(ai)的人生(sheng)離死(si)別(bie),一(yi)次次地戀(lian)顧難分,恩(en)愛(ai)轉化(hua)為憂苦(ku),如結繩(sheng)自(zi)相(xiang)(xiang)(xiang)束縛,哪(na)里(li)還(huan)有解脫的時候?思想生(sheng)前的恩(en)恩(en)愛(ai)愛(ai),考慮親善(shan)友誼,無(wu)(wu)不(bu)(bu)是(shi)情欲所(suo)支配。不(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)深思熟慮而專心(xin)精勤地修行(xing)佛道,人生(sheng)苦(ku)短,年壽一(yi)期,轉瞬即(ji)盡,衰老來臨,則(ze)一(yi)籌莫展,徒(tu)感無(wu)(wu)可(ke)奈何!
“世(shi)間(jian)對佛法不理解而迷惑(huo)的人多,醒悟(wu)得道的人少,各(ge)人心(xin)懷殘傷他人的心(xin)念(nian),惡(e)氣冥冥昏(hun)暗,如是(shi)造惡(e)之人由(you)妄心(xin)興起各(ge)種事端,違背(bei)天命,不顧人意,恣意作惡(e),惡(e)貫滿盈,頓時之間(jian)便會奪去陽(yang)壽,下墮于地獄、餓(e)鬼、畜生惡(e)道,永無出頭之期。
“你們(men)應(ying)當(dang)深思熟慮(lv),遠(yuan)遠(yuan)脫離各(ge)種惡業,選擇(ze)善(shan)事,勤(qin)苦(ku)地修行(xing)之。富(fu)貴榮(rong)華不(bu)可能長久保持,到時候(hou)都(dou)將離你而去。富(fu)貴榮(rong)華其實也都(dou)是‘苦(ku)’,沒有什么可稱(cheng)為(wei)‘樂’的。你們(men)應(ying)當(dang)勤(qin)奮精(jing)進,求生西方極樂世界。得生西方極樂世界,則(ze)智(zhi)慧明了(le)通達,功德最(zui)大。千(qian)萬不(bu)要隨心所欲,虧負于經教戒(jie)行(xing),落(luo)在他人(ren)之后。”
【原文】彌(mi)勒白言(yan)(yan):佛(fo)語教(jiao)戒,甚深(shen)甚善(shan)。皆蒙慈恩,解脫憂(you)(you)苦。佛(fo)為(wei)法王,尊超群圣,光明(ming)徹照,洞達無(wu)(wu)極,普為(wei)一切天(tian)人之師(shi)。今得(de)(de)值佛(fo),復聞無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)(shou)聲,靡不歡喜,心得(de)(de)開明(ming)。佛(fo)告(gao)彌(mi)勒:敬于佛(fo)者(zhe),是為(wei)大善(shan)。實(shi)當念佛(fo),截斷狐疑。拔諸(zhu)愛欲,杜眾惡源。游(you)步三界,無(wu)(wu)所罣(gua)礙。開示正道(dao)(dao),度(du)未度(du)者(zhe)。若(ruo)曹當知十方(fang)人民(min),永(yong)劫以來,輾轉五(wu)道(dao)(dao),憂(you)(you)苦不絕(jue)。生時苦痛,老(lao)亦苦痛,病極苦痛,死極苦痛。惡臭(chou)不凈,無(wu)(wu)可樂者(zhe)。宜自(zi)決斷,洗除心垢。言(yan)(yan)行忠信,表里(li)相(xiang)應(ying)。人能(neng)自(zi)度(du),轉相(xiang)拯濟(ji)。至心求愿,積累善(shan)本。雖一世精進勤苦,須臾間耳。后生無(wu)(wu)量壽(shou)(shou)國,快樂無(wu)(wu)極。永(yong)拔生死之本,無(wu)(wu)復苦惱之患。壽(shou)(shou)千萬劫,自(zi)在隨意。宜各(ge)精進,求心所愿。無(wu)(wu)得(de)(de)疑悔,自(zi)為(wei)過咎,生彼(bi)邊地七寶城中,于五(wu)百歲受諸(zhu)厄也(ye)。彌(mi)勒白言(yan)(yan):受佛(fo)明(ming)誨,專精修學。如(ru)教(jiao)奉行,不敢有疑。
【譯文】彌勒(le)菩薩于是說(shuo):“佛(fo)(fo)(fo)說(shuo)了教(jiao)人修善的法(fa)義,非常深刻(ke)非常善妙。我等會眾(zhong)都蒙佛(fo)(fo)(fo)慈悲(bei)之(zhi)恩,得(de)(de)聞要津,以(yi)解脫于生死憂(you)苦。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)為法(fa)王,超過(guo)諸(zhu)天圣(sheng)人而為至(zhi)尊,佛(fo)(fo)(fo)所(suo)說(shuo)之(zhi)法(fa)如同光明,澈(che)照十(shi)方(fang),洞達無窮(qiong)。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)是所(suo)有(you)有(you)緣(yuan)眾(zhong)生的導(dao)師。現在(zai)得(de)(de)以(yi)在(zai)這里(li)見到佛(fo)(fo)(fo)并(bing)聽聞說(shuo)法(fa),實在(zai)難得(de)(de),更難得(de)(de)的是聽聞到有(you)關(guan)無量(liang)壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)的聲音(yin),大家沒有(you)一個不歡欣鼓舞(wu)的,我們的心因此得(de)(de)以(yi)澈(che)悟(wu)而明了真(zhen)諦。”
釋迦牟尼佛告誨(hui)彌勒:“恭敬于(yu)佛的人,他是有(you)大善(shan)之人,應當實(shi)實(shi)際(ji)際(ji)地念佛,截斷狐疑猜忌,拔除各種愛欲(yu),杜(du)絕各種惡意惡念的源頭(tou),雖然奔(ben)走(zou)于(yu)三(san)界世間穢土,卻無(wu)所牽掛,無(wu)所障礙,向(xiang)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)開示講演佛法正道(dao),度(du)化還未得(de)度(du)化的有(you)情眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)。你們應當知道(dao),十方世界的人民,從無(wu)比久遠以來,反復輾轉、輪回(hui)于(yu)天、人、畜(chu)生(sheng)(sheng)、餓(e)鬼和(he)地獄(yu)五道(dao),沉(chen)淪生(sheng)(sheng)死,憂(you)苦不絕。誕生(sheng)(sheng)之時有(you)‘生(sheng)(sheng)苦’之痛,壽(shou)終之時有(you)‘死苦’之痛,身體臭惡而(er)不清凈,沒有(you)什么可(ke)稱為‘快樂’的。應自下(xia)決心,斷絕惡因,洗濯(zhuo)心中(zhong)的污(wu)垢,如言而(er)行(xing),如行(xing)而(er)言,表里如一(yi),誠實(shi)無(wu)欺。
“洗除了污垢而(er)表里如一的人,能(neng)夠(gou)自(zi)行(xing)度(du)(du)脫,由(you)自(zi)度(du)(du)轉(zhuan)而(er)拯救濟(ji)度(du)(du)他人。一心求取往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西方(fang)極樂凈土的大愿,稱名念佛,積累善本。雖一生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一世精進修(xiu)行(xing)十(shi)分勤苦,但這一生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)苦,較之(zhi)一個人的生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)世世,只猶(you)如片刻之(zhi)間。此生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)之(zhi)勤苦,使后世得以往生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)無(wu)量(liang)壽(shou)(shou)國(guo),享受(shou)無(wu)窮無(wu)盡的快樂,拔(ba)除生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死根本惡(e)因,遠離苦病煩惱(nao)之(zhi)患(huan),壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)長(chang)達千(qian)萬時劫,自(zi)在神通而(er)諸事(shi)隨心所欲。”
釋迦牟尼佛(fo)復喻眾生(sheng):“你們應(ying)各(ge)自(zi)精進專(zhuan)修,把往生(sheng)凈土的愿望切(qie)實(shi)地變(bian)為行動。不(bu)(bu)要(yao)(yao)疑(yi)惑,不(bu)(bu)要(yao)(yao)中(zhong)途反(fan)悔,以免(mian)錯過時(shi)機,造成(cheng)錯誤(wu)罪行,以至往生(sheng)時(shi)到了(le)西方極樂凈土的邊地之國(guo),在懷疑(yi)佛(fo)智的眾生(sheng)聚(ju)集的七(qi)寶(bao)獄中(zhong),于五百年的時(shi)間內,不(bu)(bu)得(de)見佛(fo)、法(fa)、僧三寶(bao),不(bu)(bu)得(de)聞諸經佛(fo)法(fa),受諸不(bu)(bu)幸處罰。”
彌勒菩薩領受佛(fo)(fo)旨,乃向佛(fo)(fo)言:“今天(tian)我(wo)們承受了佛(fo)(fo)明白(bai)完備的教(jiao)誨,我(wo)等當(dang)專一(yi)修(xiu)行,精進學習,按佛(fo)(fo)的教(jiao)導誠心奉(feng)行,不敢生(sheng)出半點疑(yi)惑(huo)。”
【原文】佛(fo)告彌勒:汝等能(neng)于(yu)(yu)此(ci)(ci)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),端(duan)(duan)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)正意,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),甚為(wei)(wei)(wei)大(da)德(de)(de)(de)。所(suo)(suo)以者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)何?十(shi)方世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)界,善(shan)多(duo)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)少(shao),易(yi)可(ke)開(kai)化(hua)。唯此(ci)(ci)五惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian),最(zui)為(wei)(wei)(wei)劇(ju)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)。我今于(yu)(yu)此(ci)(ci)作佛(fo),教(jiao)化(hua)群生(sheng),令舍五惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),去五痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong),離(li)五燒(shao),降(jiang)化(hua)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)意,令持五善(shan),獲(huo)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福德(de)(de)(de)。何等為(wei)(wei)(wei)五?其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)一(yi)(yi)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)諸眾(zhong)生(sheng)類,欲(yu)(yu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。強(qiang)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)伏弱,轉(zhuan)(zhuan)相(xiang)(xiang)克賊(zei),殘害殺傷,迭相(xiang)(xiang)吞啖(dan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan),后(hou)(hou)受(shou)殃罰。故有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)窮乞、孤獨、聾盲、喑啞、癡惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、尪狂(kuang),皆因(yin)(yin)前(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信道(dao)(dao)德(de)(de)(de),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯為(wei)(wei)(wei)善(shan)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)尊貴、豪富、賢明(ming)(ming)、長(chang)(chang)(chang)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)、智勇、才達,皆由宿世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)慈孝,修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)積(ji)德(de)(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)致。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)(ci)目(mu)前(qian)現事(shi),壽(shou)(shou)終(zhong)(zhong)之(zhi)后(hou)(hou),入(ru)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)幽冥(ming)。轉(zhuan)(zhuan)生(sheng)受(shou)身(shen)(shen)(shen),改形(xing)(xing)易(yi)道(dao)(dao)。故有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)泥犁(li)、禽獸、蜎(yuan)飛蠕動之(zhi)屬。譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)法牢獄,劇(ju)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)極(ji)刑,魂神命(ming)(ming)精(jing),隨罪趣向。所(suo)(suo)受(shou)壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming),或長(chang)(chang)(chang)或短,相(xiang)(xiang)從(cong)(cong)共生(sheng),更相(xiang)(xiang)報(bao)(bao)償。殃惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)未盡,終(zhong)(zhong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)得(de)離(li)。輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong),累劫(jie)難(nan)出。難(nan)得(de)解脫(tuo),痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言。天(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian)(jian)(jian),自(zi)(zi)(zi)然有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)是(shi)。雖不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)即時(shi)暴應,善(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)會(hui)當(dang)歸之(zhi)。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)二(er)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順(shun)法度。奢淫驕縱,任(ren)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)自(zi)(zi)(zi)恣。居上不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明(ming)(ming),在位不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。陷人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)冤枉,損(sun)害忠良。心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)口(kou)各異,機偽(wei)多(duo)端(duan)(duan)。尊卑中(zhong)(zhong)外(wai),更相(xiang)(xiang)欺(qi)誑(kuang)。瞋恚愚(yu)癡,欲(yu)(yu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)厚己,欲(yu)(yu)貪(tan)多(duo)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)。利害勝負,結(jie)忿成仇。破家(jia)亡身(shen)(shen)(shen),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前(qian)后(hou)(hou)。富有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)慳惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯施與。愛保貪(tan)重,心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)勞身(shen)(shen)(shen)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)。如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)至(zhi)竟,無(wu)一(yi)(yi)隨者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)。善(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)禍福,追命(ming)(ming)所(suo)(suo)生(sheng)。或在樂處,或入(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)毒(du)。又(you)或見(jian)善(shan)憎(zeng)謗,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思慕及。常懷盜(dao)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin),悕(xi)望他利。用(yong)自(zi)(zi)(zi)供給,消散(san)復取。神明(ming)(ming)克識(shi),終(zhong)(zhong)入(ru)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)。自(zi)(zi)(zi)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)三(san)途無(wu)量苦(ku)(ku)(ku)惱,輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong),累劫(jie)難(nan)出,痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)三(san)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民相(xiang)(xiang)因(yin)(yin)寄生(sheng),壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming)幾何。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)良之(zhi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)正。常懷邪(xie)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),常念淫欲(yu)(yu)。煩滿胸中(zhong)(zhong),邪(xie)態外(wai)逸。費損(sun)家(jia)財,事(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)非法。所(suo)(suo)當(dang)求者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯為(wei)(wei)(wei)。又(you)或交(jiao)結(jie)聚會(hui),興兵相(xiang)(xiang)伐。攻(gong)劫(jie)殺戮,強(qiang)奪(duo)迫脅。歸給妻(qi)子,極(ji)身(shen)(shen)(shen)作樂。眾(zhong)共憎(zeng)厭(yan),患而苦(ku)(ku)(ku)之(zhi)。如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)之(zhi)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),著于(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)鬼。神明(ming)(ming)記(ji)識(shi),自(zi)(zi)(zi)入(ru)三(san)途。無(wu)量苦(ku)(ku)(ku)惱,輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)。累劫(jie)難(nan)出,痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)四者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)念修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)。兩舌、惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)口(kou)、妄(wang)言、綺語(yu)。憎(zeng)嫉善(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),敗壞賢明(ming)(ming)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)孝父(fu)(fu)(fu)母,輕慢師長(chang)(chang)(chang)。朋友無(wu)信,難(nan)得(de)誠實。尊貴自(zi)(zi)(zi)大(da),謂己有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)道(dao)(dao)。橫行威勢,侵易(yi)于(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。欲(yu)(yu)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)畏(wei)敬,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)自(zi)(zi)(zi)慚懼(ju)(ju)。難(nan)可(ke)降(jiang)化(hua),常懷驕慢。賴(lai)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)前(qian)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),福德(de)(de)(de)營護(hu)。今世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),福德(de)(de)(de)盡滅。壽(shou)(shou)命(ming)(ming)終(zhong)(zhong)盡,諸惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)繞歸。又(you)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)名籍(ji),記(ji)在神明(ming)(ming)。殃咎牽引,無(wu)從(cong)(cong)舍離(li)。但得(de)前(qian)行,入(ru)于(yu)(yu)火鑊(huo)。身(shen)(shen)(shen)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)摧(cui)碎,神形(xing)(xing)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)極(ji)。當(dang)斯(si)之(zhi)時(shi),悔(hui)復何及。其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)五者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)(jian)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)民徙(xi)倚懈怠。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作善(shan),治身(shen)(shen)(shen)修(xiu)(xiu)業。父(fu)(fu)(fu)母教(jiao)誨(hui),違(wei)戾反逆。譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)怨家(jia),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)無(wu)子。負恩(en)違(wei)義,無(wu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)報(bao)(bao)償。放恣游散(san),耽酒嗜(shi)美。魯扈(hu)抵突,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)識(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)情。無(wu)義無(wu)禮,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)諫曉。六親眷屬,資(zi)用(yong)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)無(wu),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)憂念。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)惟父(fu)(fu)(fu)母之(zhi)恩(en),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)存師友之(zhi)義。意念身(shen)(shen)(shen)口(kou),曾(ceng)無(wu)一(yi)(yi)善(shan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信諸佛(fo)經(jing)法,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信生(sheng)死(si)善(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。欲(yu)(yu)害真人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),斗亂僧(seng)眾(zhong)。愚(yu)癡蒙昧,自(zi)(zi)(zi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)智慧。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知(zhi)生(sheng)所(suo)(suo)從(cong)(cong)來(lai),死(si)所(suo)(suo)趣向。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)仁(ren)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)順(shun),希望長(chang)(chang)(chang)生(sheng)。慈心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)教(jiao)誨(hui),而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯信。苦(ku)(ku)(ku)口(kou)與語(yu),無(wu)益其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)。心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)中(zhong)(zhong)閉塞(sai),意不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)開(kai)解。大(da)命(ming)(ming)將終(zhong)(zhong),悔(hui)懼(ju)(ju)交(jiao)至(zhi)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan),臨時(shi)乃悔(hui)。悔(hui)之(zhi)于(yu)(yu)后(hou)(hou),將何及乎!天(tian)地之(zhi)間(jian)(jian)(jian),五道(dao)(dao)分明(ming)(ming)。善(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)報(bao)(bao)應,禍福相(xiang)(xiang)承。身(shen)(shen)(shen)自(zi)(zi)(zi)當(dang)之(zhi),無(wu)誰代者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)。善(shan)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行善(shan),從(cong)(cong)樂入(ru)樂,從(cong)(cong)明(ming)(ming)入(ru)明(ming)(ming)。惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)行惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e),從(cong)(cong)苦(ku)(ku)(ku)入(ru)苦(ku)(ku)(ku),從(cong)(cong)冥(ming)入(ru)冥(ming)。誰能(neng)知(zhi)者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe),獨佛(fo)知(zhi)耳(er)。教(jiao)語(yu)開(kai)示,信行者(zhe)(zhe)(zhe)少(shao)。生(sheng)死(si)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)休(xiu),惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)道(dao)(dao)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕。如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren),難(nan)可(ke)具(ju)盡。故有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然三(san)途,無(wu)量苦(ku)(ku)(ku)惱,輾(zhan)(zhan)轉(zhuan)(zhuan)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)。世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)累劫(jie),無(wu)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)出期。難(nan)得(de)解脫(tuo),痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)言。如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)是(shi)五惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)、五痛(tong)(tong)(tong)(tong)、五燒(shao),譬如(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)(ru)大(da)火,焚燒(shao)人(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)(ren)身(shen)(shen)(shen)。若能(neng)自(zi)(zi)(zi)于(yu)(yu)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)一(yi)(yi)心(xin)(xin)(xin)(xin)制意,端(duan)(duan)身(shen)(shen)(shen)正念,言行相(xiang)(xiang)副,所(suo)(suo)作至(zhi)誠,獨作諸善(shan),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)(wei)眾(zhong)惡(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)(e)。身(shen)(shen)(shen)獨度脫(tuo),獲(huo)其(qi)(qi)(qi)(qi)福德(de)(de)(de),可(ke)得(de)長(chang)(chang)(chang)壽(shou)(shou)泥洹之(zhi)道(dao)(dao)。是(shi)為(wei)(wei)(wei)五大(da)善(shan)也(ye)。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼(ni)佛告訴彌(mi)勒說:“你(ni)等能于此(ci)(ci)(ci)濁世(shi)(shi)之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong)正心誠意,不(bu)(bu)為(wei)種種惡業,堪可(ke)稱(cheng)為(wei)‘大(da)德(de)(de)’。為(wei)什么(me)這樣說呢?十方諸佛世(shi)(shi)界(jie)善多惡少(shao),容易接受(shou)(shou)(shou)開(kai)導(dao)教(jiao)化,唯有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)(ci)(ci)五惡世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian),‘苦’最大(da)最多。我現(xian)今在(zai)此(ci)(ci)(ci)作(zuo)(zuo)佛,教(jiao)化群(qun)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),欲使他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)舍掉(diao)‘五惡’,去脫‘五痛’,離(li)開(kai)‘五燒’,降(jiang)伏化除他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡迷之(zhi)(zhi)心,讓他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)守持‘五善’,使他(ta)(ta)(ta)們(men)(men)獲得福德(de)(de)。這‘五’是什么(me)呢?其一(yi)者,世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)諸眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)類(lei),想作(zuo)(zuo)種種惡事(shi),強(qiang)者降(jiang)伏弱者,強(qiang)者身后又有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)更強(qiang)者降(jiang)伏他(ta)(ta)(ta),輾轉相(xiang)制,殘(can)害傷殺,大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)吞食(shi)小(xiao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de),吞食(shi)者又被更大(da)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)吞。以(yi)(yi)(yi)暴凌善,以(yi)(yi)(yi)強(qiang)欺(qi)弱,完全(quan)不(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得相(xiang)互為(wei)善。因(yin)(yin)(yin)為(wei)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)如此(ci)(ci)(ci)作(zuo)(zuo)惡而其來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)受(shou)(shou)(shou)到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)和懲罰。所(suo)(suo)以(yi)(yi)(yi),這世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)貧窮、有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)乞丐,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無父母(mu),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)無兒女,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)聾,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瞎(xia),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)啞,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)癡呆,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)惡毒,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)殘(can)廢,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)瘋狂,這都(dou)是因(yin)(yin)(yin)為(wei)前世(shi)(shi)不(bu)(bu)信道(dao)(dao),不(bu)(bu)積德(de)(de),不(bu)(bu)為(wei)善,所(suo)(suo)受(shou)(shou)(shou)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)‘殃罰’。世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)也有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)尊貴,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)豪(hao)富,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)賢明,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)受(shou)(shou)(shou)眾(zhong)尊敬,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)智勇(yong)雙全(quan),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)人(ren)才(cai)能精(jing)深博(bo)大(da)。這都(dou)是由于前世(shi)(shi)慈悲(bei)孝順(shun)等等修善積德(de)(de)所(suo)(suo)得的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)善報(bao)。現(xian)實世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)此(ci)(ci)(ci)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)之(zhi)(zhi)事(shi),更有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)壽終之(zhi)(zhi)后下到(dao)冥(ming)界(jie)后不(bu)(bu)可(ke)見的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)果(guo)(guo)(guo)報(bao)之(zhi)(zhi)事(shi),在(zai)冥(ming)界(jie)轉生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)投胎(tai)又受(shou)(shou)(shou)色身,改變(bian)了(le)原來的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)形象,變(bian)豬變(bian)狗,在(zai)五道(dao)(dao)中(zhong)淪陷于更低的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)位置。因(yin)(yin)(yin)此(ci)(ci)(ci),便有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)地獄、禽獸(shou)、飛蠅(ying)、爬蟲之(zhi)(zhi)類(lei)。這就猶如以(yi)(yi)(yi)世(shi)(shi)間(jian)(jian)法律治罪(zui)(zui)犯,有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)關在(zai)牢獄之(zhi)(zhi)中(zhong),有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)受(shou)(shou)(shou)到(dao)極(ji)刑痛苦。精(jing)靈(ling)魂魄與其人(ren)前生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)罪(zui)(zui)報(bao)相(xiang)隨相(xiang)從,不(bu)(bu)管(guan)所(suo)(suo)得到(dao)的(de)(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命或(huo)長或(huo)短,冤家債主相(xiang)追(zhui)隨共生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)一(yi)處(chu),一(yi)定要將前世(shi)(shi)怨(yuan)仇一(yi)一(yi)清(qing)算,以(yi)(yi)(yi)期報(bao)償。所(suo)(suo)犯罪(zui)(zui)行若沒(mei)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)結清(qing),便不(bu)(bu)能夠分開(kai),如此(ci)(ci)(ci)輾轉往(wang)復于其惡道(dao)(dao)中(zhong),很(hen)多時劫也難得出離(li),絕少(shao)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)機會獲得解脫,其痛苦難以(yi)(yi)(yi)言說。天(tian)地之(zhi)(zhi)間(jian)(jian),因(yin)(yin)(yin)果(guo)(guo)(guo)相(xiang)因(yin)(yin)(yin),報(bao)應不(bu)(bu)爽,必應有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)如此(ci)(ci)(ci)狀。有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)時雖不(bu)(bu)即時報(bao)應,但善因(yin)(yin)(yin)善果(guo)(guo)(guo),惡因(yin)(yin)(yin)惡果(guo)(guo)(guo),時候一(yi)至,無不(bu)(bu)兌現(xian)。
“其二者,世間人(ren)(ren)民(min)不(bu)(bu)(bu)依法(fa)規軌則,奢侈淫樂,驕橫(heng)放(fang)縱(zong),放(fang)情(qing)縱(zong)欲(yu)。居(ju)(ju)上位(wei)的(de)(de)官(guan)員貪(tan)贓枉(wang)法(fa),誤國(guo)殃(yang)民(min),在位(wei)而(er)(er)不(bu)(bu)(bu)能正(zheng)已之身,誣陷使人(ren)(ren)冤枉(wang),更陷害忠(zhong)良,阿(a)諛誹謗,心口不(bu)(bu)(bu)一(yi),投機取巧,詭詐虛偽(wei)。還不(bu)(bu)(bu)只是(shi)居(ju)(ju)上位(wei)的(de)(de)官(guan)員如此(ci),這世間無論(lun)尊貴的(de)(de)王公貴族(zu),卑(bei)殘的(de)(de)奴(nu)仆馬弁,族(zu)中的(de)(de)親眷家屬,外界的(de)(de)平(ping)民(min)百姓,都是(shi)互相(xiang)欺誑,瞋恚愚(yu)癡(chi)。人(ren)(ren)們都想(xiang)自己占便宜,損他(ta)人(ren)(ren)而(er)(er)利己。為了(le)(le)貪(tan)婪攫取,占有(you)更多的(de)(de)利益(yi),不(bu)(bu)(bu)惜以利相(xiang)侵,互相(xiang)算計謀(mou)害,由此(ci)結下忿惱,由結忿惱又升(sheng)格為仇恨,甚(shen)至家破人(ren)(ren)亡(wang),不(bu)(bu)(bu)顧前因后果的(de)(de)報應法(fa)則。富有(you)者,慳吝貪(tan)惜,不(bu)(bu)(bu)肯施舍與人(ren)(ren)。愛欲(yu)頑固(gu),貪(tan)心深重,終生(sheng)身心勞苦,就這樣(yang)一(yi)直到(dao)死。到(dao)了(le)(le)死時,財物(wu)又帶不(bu)(bu)(bu)走,沒有(you)一(yi)樣(yang)能拿(na)到(dao)陰間。善(shan)(shan)惡禍福(fu)平(ping)生(sheng)之業(ye),卻(que)追隨其人(ren)(ren)靈魂而(er)(er)到(dao)往生(sheng)處,或者三善(shan)(shan)道(dao),或者三惡道(dao),總之,決不(bu)(bu)(bu)會放(fang)棄此(ci)人(ren)(ren)。
“再有,或(huo)有見人之(zhi)善,不(bu)是想著如何(he)去學(xue)習他(ta)(ta),敬慕他(ta)(ta),而是憎惡(e)誹謗他(ta)(ta),胸中(zhong)常懷侵奪之(zhi)心(xin),希望損人利己(ji),將他(ta)(ta)人之(zhi)財物供自己(ji)取用,揮(hui)霍完了(le),又重去盜(dao)取。當然(ran)逃(tao)不(bu)出神明的眼界,終將其人打入(ru)惡(e)道(dao),自然(ran)有三途(tu)惡(e)道(dao)的無量苦(ku)惱等(deng)著他(ta)(ta),其人輾轉(zhuan)于(yu)三惡(e)道(dao)中(zhong),曠劫長時也難以得出,其痛(tong)苦(ku)不(bu)堪言(yan)說(shuo)。
“其(qi)三者(zhe),世間(jian)(jian)人眾(zhong),由于(yu)(yu)(yu)相互(hu)之(zhi)間(jian)(jian)的(de)業因(yin)導果而(er)出生(sheng)于(yu)(yu)(yu)世,壽命能有多長?不(bu)良之(zhi)人,身心不(bu)正,常懷邪(xie)惡(e)狠(hen)毒之(zhi)心,常沉溺于(yu)(yu)(yu)淫欲(yu)放蕩,煩懣(men)填塞胸中(zhong),淫邪(xie)放蕩流露于(yu)(yu)(yu)外表(biao),所(suo)作(zuo)(zuo)之(zhi)事不(bu)但耗費損失家中(zhong)產業,更因(yin)這些(xie)事情不(bu)合(he)法度(du)甚而(er)至于(yu)(yu)(yu)違(wei)犯法律(lv)招來惡(e)報。應當為(wei)之(zhi)追(zhui)求、為(wei)之(zhi)奮(fen)斗(dou)的(de),他們(men)不(bu)愿(yuan)去(qu)追(zhui)求去(qu)奮(fen)斗(dou)。又有的(de)人拉幫結伙,興起(qi)爭戰(zhan),互(hu)相攻伐(fa),侵掠殺戮,武力脅迫,公然搶奪。將以此(ci)種(zhong)種(zhong)獸行(xing)搶奪來的(de)財物拿去(qu)取(qu)悅于(yu)(yu)(yu)妻妾強人,縱情于(yu)(yu)(yu)聲(sheng)色,不(bu)知疲倦地尋歡作(zuo)(zuo)樂。世間(jian)(jian)人眾(zhong)對此(ci)憎惡(e)討厭,為(wei)此(ci)使之(zhi)遭(zao)受(shou)災禍和無邊痛(tong)苦(ku)(ku)。這些(xie)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)人,雖現人形,卻顯鬼魅的(de)惡(e)毒。那明(ming)察人世的(de)神明(ming)白會給他們(men)記上這筆帳,以他們(men)自己此(ci)生(sheng)作(zuo)(zuo)惡(e)之(zhi)因(yin),將其(qi)在來世轉(zhuan)生(sheng)之(zhi)時變為(wei)餓鬼畜生(sheng),墮入三惡(e)道,受(shou)到那無邊無量無窮(qiong)無盡的(de)苦(ku)(ku)痛(tong)折磨,其(qi)人輾(zhan)轉(zhuan)于(yu)(yu)(yu)三惡(e)道之(zhi)中(zhong),很多時劫也不(bu)能出來,其(qi)痛(tong)苦(ku)(ku)難以言說(shuo)。
“其(qi)四者(zhe),世(shi)間的(de)(de)人(ren)民不(bu)掛念著修(xiu)善(shan)的(de)(de)事(shi),卻撥弄(nong)是(shi)非,言辭粗鄙,假話(hua)(hua)大(da)話(hua)(hua),阿諛逢迎(ying),憎(zeng)恨嫉妒善(shan)人(ren)的(de)(de)才德(de),敗壞賢明(ming)之(zhi)人(ren)的(de)(de)名聲;不(bu)孝敬順遂父母,不(bu)尊重而慢待老師,朋友間不(bu)守信譽,難(nan)得以誠相待;驕傲自大(da),炫耀自己有道行,橫行霸道,仗勢欺人(ren),想讓大(da)眾對(dui)己產生(sheng)敬畏;不(bu)知(zhi)羞慚,不(bu)自戒慎,不(bu)聽勸慰,不(bu)服教化(hua),其(qi)心常懷自大(da)傲慢,僅依靠其(qi)前(qian)生(sheng)前(qian)世(shi)所積累(lei)的(de)(de)那(nei)點(dian)福德(de)的(de)(de)佑護(hu),才未馬上受(shou)難(nan);于(yu)今生(sheng)今世(shi)作(zuo)惡(e)多端(duan),前(qian)世(shi)辛勤修(xiu)得的(de)(de)福德(de)終歸消(xiao)耗(hao)殆盡(jin)。其(qi)人(ren)終了之(zhi)時(shi),他所作(zuo)的(de)(de)各種惡(e)業(ye)擁(yong)著他的(de)(de)魂魄去到(dao)冥世(shi),他的(de)(de)惡(e)名和所作(zuo)的(de)(de)惡(e)業(ye),都登記(ji)在神明(ming)的(de)(de)檔案里,其(qi)人(ren)被自身生(sheng)前(qian)所作(zuo)之(zhi)災惡(e)罪過所牽引,沒有辦法得以脫身,只(zhi)好跟(gen)著前(qian)去,進入到(dao)獄火湯鑊之(zhi)中,身心被摧毀破碎,精神肉體痛苦不(bu)堪(kan)。到(dao)了這個時(shi)候,后悔也來不(bu)及了。
“其五(wu)者,世間(jian)(jian)的(de)(de)人民不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思(si)努力(li),留連于(yu)松懈懶(lan)惰,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯作(zuo)(zuo)善(shan)(shan)舉好事,也不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯修(xiu)(xiu)身養性,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)敬業樂(le)群(qun)。父(fu)(fu)母(mu)教誨(hui)兒女(nv),兒女(nv)違背忤逆,就好像是(shi)冤家(jia)對(dui)(dui)(dui)頭。有(you)這樣的(de)(de)兒女(nv)還不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)如(ru)(ru)沒有(you)。如(ru)(ru)此兒女(nv),辜負父(fu)(fu)母(mu)養育之(zhi)(zhi)恩,違背孝敬長輩的(de)(de)世間(jian)(jian)禮(li)儀,對(dui)(dui)(dui)父(fu)(fu)母(mu)的(de)(de)恩德全(quan)無(wu)一點(dian)報(bao)答之(zhi)(zhi)情(qing)。有(you)的(de)(de)人放蕩自(zi)縱,游樂(le)散漫,好酒貪杯,嗜愛(ai)(ai)美味,無(wu)知無(wu)識(shi),專橫跋(ba)扈,心無(wu)遠見,冥行妄(wang)作(zuo)(zuo),不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得人情(qing)世故,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)懂(dong)得仁義(yi)禮(li)貌.對(dui)(dui)(dui)其規勸告誡也沒有(you)用。有(you)的(de)(de)人對(dui)(dui)(dui)父(fu)(fu)母(mu)姊妹(mei);親戚(qi)眷屬的(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)活困難全(quan)然不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)顧,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮父(fu)(fu)母(mu)之(zhi)(zhi)恩,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)考慮老師(shi)朋友情(qing)義(yi),心常(chang)念惡(e),口常(chang)言(yan)惡(e),身常(chang)行惡(e),三業之(zhi)(zhi)中一無(wu)是(shi)處(chu),無(wu)善(shan)(shan)可言(yan)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)信仰(yang)諸(zhu)佛的(de)(de)經言(yan)法教,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相(xiang)信生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死因(yin)果,善(shan)(shan)惡(e)有(you)報(bao)。欲想(xiang)殺害阿羅漢,離間(jian)(jian)僧眾使之(zhi)(zhi)爭(zheng)斗(dou),蒙(meng)昧無(wu)知,反而(er)自(zi)以為聰明。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知道(dao)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)從何(he)處(chu)而(er)來,死后又去到何(he)方,待人接物,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)知仁愛(ai)(ai)和順,癡心妄(wang)想(xiang)于(yu)長生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)老。對(dui)(dui)(dui)慈(ci)悲之(zhi)(zhi)心的(de)(de)教誨(hui)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)肯相(xiang)信;對(dui)(dui)(dui)苦口婆心的(de)(de)勸勉之(zhi)(zhi)話;無(wu)動于(yu)衷。上述人等心中因(yin)癡愚(yu)而(er)黑暗不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)明,對(dui)(dui)(dui)善(shan)(shan)意(yi)良言(yan)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)(neng)開悟理解。生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)命將要終(zhong)了之(zhi)(zhi)時,后悔恐懼交相(xiang)產生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)預先修(xiu)(xiu)善(shan)(shan),死到臨頭方生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)后悔,可為時已(yi)晚,再后悔也來不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)及了。
“在天地(di)中(zhong)(zhong)間,天、人(ren)(ren)、餓鬼、畜生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)、地(di)獄五(wu)道生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死(si)(si)流轉(zhuan),其(qi)善(shan)惡(e)(e)(e)因果(guo)報應不爽是(shi)明擺著的(de)(de)事。行(xing)善(shan)作惡(e)(e)(e)各(ge)有報應相(xiang)隨,禍(huo)受(shou)之于惡(e)(e)(e),福受(shou)之于善(shan),是(shi)禍(huo)是(shi)福,均由其(qi)本人(ren)(ren)自己來承當,他人(ren)(ren)無可替代,善(shan)人(ren)(ren)行(xing)善(shan)事,今(jin)(jin)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)樂施好善(shan),來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)得(de)入(ru)富樂人(ren)(ren)家(jia)(jia);今(jin)(jin)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)勤修福慧,來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)得(de)入(ru)賢達人(ren)(ren)家(jia)(jia);惡(e)(e)(e)人(ren)(ren)作惡(e)(e)(e)事,今(jin)(jin)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)使人(ren)(ren)痛苦(ku),來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)得(de)入(ru)窮(qiong)苦(ku)人(ren)(ren)家(jia)(jia);今(jin)(jin)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)癡愚,來生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)還入(ru)癡愚人(ren)(ren)家(jia)(jia)。這(zhe)(zhe)其(qi)中(zhong)(zhong)的(de)(de)道理有誰(shui)能(neng)知?唯獨只有佛能(neng)知能(neng)曉。佛說的(de)(de)教導人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)的(de)(de)方法(fa),所開示的(de)(de)真實(shi)之相(xiang),信受(shou)不移而依(yi)此篤行(xing)的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)極少極少。所以(yi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死(si)(si)輪回永(yong)不停止,墮于三(san)惡(e)(e)(e)道之路的(de)(de)人(ren)(ren)眾(zhong)不能(neng)斷絕。像這(zhe)(zhe)樣的(de)(de)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)間凡夫俗子,難以(yi)全部(bu)都度脫完畢,所以(yi)才(cai)有三(san)惡(e)(e)(e)道無量苦(ku)惱,讓(rang)這(zhe)(zhe)樣的(de)(de)凡夫俗子輾轉(zhuan)于其(qi)中(zhong)(zhong),生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)世(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi)(shi),曠劫而不能(neng)得(de)出,解脫生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)死(si)(si)的(de)(de)希望(wang)無從感受(shou),痛苦(ku)難以(yi)言(yan)說。
“像這樣的五(wu)惡(e)、五(wu)痛、五(wu)燒,猶如大(da)(da)火焚(fen)燒人(ren)身(shen),若有人(ren)能在火燒之中,專一其心(xin),制(zhi)止意(yi)業發生(sheng)(sheng),端正其行為思想,言行一致,誠心(xin)誠意(yi),不管世間(jian)濁穢如何,獨(du)作善事(shi),不作各種惡(e)事(shi),其人(ren)之身(shen)便(bian)獨(du)得(de)度脫,獲得(de)他行善報(bao)應的福德,可得(de)以在無生(sheng)(sheng)無滅的涅盤境界中長生(sheng)(sheng)。這就(jiu)是五(wu)大(da)(da)善。”
【原文】佛告(gao)彌勒(le):吾語(yu)汝等(deng)(deng),如是五惡(e)(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒,輾(zhan)轉相(xiang)生(sheng)(sheng)。敢(gan)有犯此(ci),當(dang)歷惡(e)(e)趣。或(huo)(huo)其今世,先被病殃(yang),死生(sheng)(sheng)不(bu)得,示眾見之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。或(huo)(huo)于壽(shou)終(zhong),入三(san)惡(e)(e)道。愁痛(tong)酷毒,自(zi)相(xiang)燋(jiao)然(ran)。共其怨(yuan)家(jia),更相(xiang)殺傷。從小微起,成大困劇。皆(jie)由貪(tan)著財色(se)(se),不(bu)肯(ken)施惠。各欲自(zi)快,無復(fu)曲(qu)直。癡欲所(suo)迫,厚己(ji)爭(zheng)利。富貴榮華(hua),當(dang)時快意。不(bu)能忍辱,不(bu)務修善。威勢(shi)無幾(ji),隨以磨滅。天道施張,自(zi)然(ran)糾舉(ju),煢煢忪忪,當(dang)入其中。古今有是,痛(tong)哉可傷!汝等(deng)(deng)得佛經語(yu),熟思惟之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)。各自(zi)端(duan)守,終(zhong)身不(bu)怠(dai)。尊(zun)圣敬(jing)善,仁慈博愛(ai)。當(dang)求(qiu)度(du)世,拔斷(duan)生(sheng)(sheng)死眾惡(e)(e)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)本。當(dang)離三(san)途(tu),憂怖苦痛(tong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)道。若曹作(zuo)善,云何第一?當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)心,當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)身。耳目(mu)口鼻,皆(jie)當(dang)自(zi)端(duan)。身心凈潔(jie),與善相(xiang)應。勿隨嗜欲,不(bu)犯諸惡(e)(e)。言色(se)(se)當(dang)和,身行當(dang)專。動作(zuo)瞻視,安(an)定(ding)徐為(wei)。作(zuo)事(shi)倉卒,敗悔在(zai)后。為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)不(bu)諦,亡其功(gong)夫。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛對(dui)彌(mi)勒說(shuo):“我告訴了(le)你們這(zhe)個五惡(e)、五痛(tong)、五燒(shao)輾轉(zhuan)相(xiang)生因果輪回的(de)道理。若還有人(ren)敢于犯此五惡(e),必當遭到惡(e)果所報,或者其人(ren)今(jin)世就得現報,先被病惡(e)禍(huo)及,痛(tong)苦(ku)不(bu)(bu)堪,求生不(bu)(bu)得,求死不(bu)(bu)能(neng),讓大眾都得見這(zhe)惡(e)行惡(e)報的(de)下(xia)場(chang)。或者其人(ren)在壽終之(zhi)后,墮入(ru)三惡(e)趣中,憂愁痛(tong)苦(ku),酷(ku)刑荼毒,自(zi)(zi)業(ye)之(zhi)火,炙灼自(zi)(zi)身;與他在生之(zhi)世結(jie)的(de)冤家對(dui)頭共處一地(di),互相(xiang)傷(shang)害(hai)殘殺,從很小(xiao)的(de)摩擦開始,愈(yu)演愈(yu)烈(lie),最(zui)終釀成重(zhong)災大禍(huo)。
“上(shang)述兩種惡(e)報都(dou)是由于生之(zhi)(zhi)世(shi)貪得無(wu)厭,積斂錢財,無(wu)羞無(wu)恥(chi),沉溺色(se)情,不肯以財物布施窮(qiong)人(ren),只求(qiu)自己快樂和欲(yu)望得到滿足,不管所(suo)行(xing)之(zhi)(zhi)事的是非曲直(zhi)。由癡欲(yu)貪婪之(zhi)(zhi)心(xin)所(suo)迫使,損人(ren)利(li)己,不擇手段與人(ren)爭利(li),爭得的富(fu)貴(gui)榮華,只是一時的快意(yi),不愿(yuan)忍辱修習,不能修善(shan)積德,威風權勢沒有幾天長(chang)久,隨即(ji)便磨滅殆盡。天理昭然,自會(hui)觀(guan)察審(shen)視到其人(ren)所(suo)為。其人(ren)自感罪行(xing)敗露,驚惶失措,將孤獨地墮入(ru)惡(e)道之(zhi)(zhi)中。從古到今(jin)有不少這方面的例子。痛心(xin)啊,真使人(ren)痛心(xin)!
“你(ni)們聽我說了這(zhe)些法教,應(ying)對這(zhe)其中道(dao)理(li)深思(si)熟慮,各自端(duan)守(shou)奉(feng)行(xing)(xing)(xing)教法,終(zhong)身(shen)不(bu)(bu)要有片刻懈怠。尊重阿羅漢等修(xiu)行(xing)(xing)(xing)人,敬愛行(xing)(xing)(xing)善(shan)好施的(de)(de)大居(ju)士,仁(ren)義慈(ci)悲,博愛眾生(sheng),當(dang)求濟度世間(jian)有情(qing)之(zhi)道(dao),拔除(chu)斷滅生(sheng)死(si)和各種(zhong)惡(e)的(de)(de)根(gen)源。如這(zhe)樣作(zuo),則必將脫離三惡(e)道(dao)的(de)(de)憂愁、恐(kong)怖(bu)、苦痛。你(ni)們作(zuo)善(shan)事,首先(xian)得作(zuo)什么?首先(xian)應(ying)當(dang)自行(xing)(xing)(xing)端(duan)正身(shen)心,端(duan)正耳、目(mu)、口、鼻。身(shen)心潔凈,與(yu)善(shan)便可(ke)相照應(ying)。不(bu)(bu)要順(shun)逐嗜(shi)好欲(yu)望,不(bu)(bu)要造下(xia)諸種(zhong)惡(e)業,語言面容(rong)應(ying)當(dang)溫柔(rou)和藹,自身(shen)及行(xing)(xing)(xing)為應(ying)當(dang)專誠瑞正。一舉一動,一言一行(xing)(xing)(xing),都應(ying)當(dang)安祥沉靜,從容(rong)不(bu)(bu)迫。作(zuo)事倉(cang)卒慌(huang)忙(mang),必將失(shi)敗與(yu)后悔,一招(zhao)不(bu)(bu)慎,便會喪失(shi)其修(xiu)習了許久的(de)(de)功(gong)夫德(de)行(xing)(xing)(xing)。”
【原文】汝(ru)等(deng)廣(guang)植德(de)本,勿犯道禁(jin)。忍辱精進,慈心專(zhuan)一(yi)。齋戒(jie)清凈,一(yi)日(ri)一(yi)夜,勝在無(wu)(wu)(wu)量(liang)壽國(guo)為(wei)善(shan)(shan)百歲(sui)。所以者何?彼佛(fo)國(guo)土,皆(jie)積德(de)眾善(shan)(shan),無(wu)(wu)(wu)毫發(fa)之(zhi)惡。于(yu)此修(xiu)善(shan)(shan),十(shi)(shi)日(ri)十(shi)(shi)夜,勝于(yu)他方(fang)(fang)諸(zhu)佛(fo)國(guo)中,為(wei)善(shan)(shan)千歲(sui)。所以者何?他方(fang)(fang)佛(fo)國(guo),福德(de)自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran),無(wu)(wu)(wu)造惡之(zhi)地。唯此世(shi)(shi)間,善(shan)(shan)少惡多,飲苦(ku)食毒,未嘗(chang)寧(ning)息。吾哀汝(ru)等(deng),苦(ku)心誨(hui)喻,授(shou)與(yu)經法。悉持思之(zhi),悉奉行(xing)之(zhi)。尊卑、男女、眷屬、朋友,轉相(xiang)(xiang)教語(yu),自(zi)(zi)(zi)相(xiang)(xiang)約檢(jian)。和(he)順義理(li),歡樂(le)慈孝。所作(zuo)(zuo)如(ru)(ru)犯,則(ze)自(zi)(zi)(zi)悔過。去惡就善(shan)(shan),朝聞夕改。奉持經戒(jie),如(ru)(ru)貧得寶。改往修(xiu)來,洗心易行(xing)。自(zi)(zi)(zi)然(ran)感降,所愿輒得。佛(fo)所行(xing)處,國(guo)邑丘聚,靡不蒙化。天下和(he)順,日(ri)月清明。風雨(yu)以時,災厲不起(qi)。國(guo)豐民安(an)(an),兵(bing)戈無(wu)(wu)(wu)用。崇德(de)興仁,務修(xiu)禮讓(rang)。國(guo)無(wu)(wu)(wu)盜賊,無(wu)(wu)(wu)有怨枉。強不凌弱,各得其(qi)所。我哀汝(ru)等(deng),甚(shen)于(yu)父母念子。我于(yu)此世(shi)(shi)作(zuo)(zuo)佛(fo),以善(shan)(shan)攻惡,拔生死(si)之(zhi)苦(ku)。令獲五德(de),升無(wu)(wu)(wu)為(wei)之(zhi)安(an)(an)。吾般泥(ni)洹(huan),經道漸滅(mie)。人民諂偽,復(fu)為(wei)眾惡。五燒五痛,久后轉劇。汝(ru)等(deng)轉相(xiang)(xiang)教誡(jie),如(ru)(ru)佛(fo)經法,無(wu)(wu)(wu)得犯也。彌勒(le)菩薩(sa),合(he)掌白言:世(shi)(shi)人惡苦(ku),如(ru)(ru)是(shi)如(ru)(ru)是(shi)。佛(fo)皆(jie)慈哀,悉度(du)脫之(zhi)。受佛(fo)重誨(hui),不敢違(wei)失(shi)。
【譯文】你們應當廣修(xiu)六度,培植功德之本,不(bu)要違犯了(le)戒(jie)禁(jin)紀律。一(yi)定(ding)要忍(ren)辱精進,用(yong)心(xin)專一(yi)。守齋持(chi)戒(jie),務使身心(xin)清凈。若能(neng)在此穢土守齋持(chi)戒(jie)一(yi)天(tian)一(yi)夜,所獲的功德勝過在無(wu)量壽(shou)國里作一(yi)百年(nian)的善(shan)(shan)行(xing)義(yi)舉(ju)。為(wei)什(shen)么呢?那(nei)西方極樂世(shi)(shi)界都是各種(zhong)福(fu)德善(shan)(shan)事積累(lei)而成,沒(mei)有哪怕是如(ru)毫(hao)毛頭(tou)發的一(yi)絲惡(e)(e)(e)念。在我(wo)們這(zhe)娑婆世(shi)(shi)界修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)十天(tian)十夜,勝過在其(qi)他(ta)諸(zhu)佛(fo)國中修(xiu)善(shan)(shan)千年(nian)。為(wei)什(shen)么呢?其(qi)他(ta)的佛(fo)國天(tian)然(ran)有佛(fo)德,沒(mei)有造成惡(e)(e)(e)業的余地。不(bu)像我(wo)們這(zhe)世(shi)(shi)間,善(shan)(shan)少惡(e)(e)(e)多,飲(yin)苦(ku)水,吃毒(du)食,終無(wu)休止(zhi)之期。
我為(wei)(wei)你(ni)們眾生悲哀,所以(yi)才苦口(kou)婆心(xin)地加以(yi)教導,翻來(lai)復去的(de)(de)(de)給(gei)出譬喻,一心(xin)要教給(gei)你(ni)們經法,令你(ni)們受持思考,如教奉行(xing)。對(dui)(dui)達官(guan)顯(xian)貴和奴仆百姓,對(dui)(dui)男(nan)人和女人,對(dui)(dui)親戚(qi)眷屬,對(dui)(dui)朋(peng)友同事,轉述我教導的(de)(de)(de)這(zhe)些話,務必要自行(xing)檢查(cha)約束,使言(yan)行(xing)舉(ju)止合順于理義,歡喜安樂于慈愛兒女、孝(xiao)敬父母。所作所為(wei)(wei)如有違犯經戒(jie)的(de)(de)(de)地方(fang),則自行(xing)改過。離去惡而靠(kao)近(jin)善,早上知道(dao)了(le)正確的(de)(de)(de)道(dao)理,下午就改正過來(lai)。奉持經戒(jie),如同窮人得(de)到(dao)珍(zhen)寶,改正以(yi)往的(de)(de)(de)惡,修行(xing)未(wei)來(lai)的(de)(de)(de)善,洗除(chu)心(xin)中的(de)(de)(de)污垢,變易自己的(de)(de)(de)行(xing)為(wei)(wei),自然感(gan)應到(dao)佛力加持,凡所求愿,都(dou)能圓滿。
佛所(suo)到之處,大到國家(jia),小到鄉邑,凡眾(zhong)生聚(ju)居之處,沒有一地不(bu)(bu)蒙受教化,也沒有一處不(bu)(bu)呈現祥和太平。萬邦(bang)和睦(mu),日月(yue)清(qing)明,風調雨順,災害不(bu)(bu)起,瘟疫不(bu)(bu)行;國家(jia)豐足,人民(min)安(an)樂;刀槍入庫,尊崇道(dao)德;興施仁政,宣傳(chuan)禮(li)讓;國無盜賊,世無怨枉(wang);強(qiang)者(zhe)不(bu)(bu)欺(qi)凌弱者(zhe),人人都(dou)各得其所(suo)。
我憐憫(min)你(ni)們罪(zui)苦眾生,勝過父(fu)母慈(ci)愛兒(er)女。我在(zai)此五濁惡世(shi)上(shang)作(zuo)佛(fo);用善德來攻(gong)破惡行(xing)。拔除有情生死之苦,使眾生獲得“五德”,升至無為無礙的常(chang)樂心境。我圓寂后(hou),經(jing)法佛(fo)道將逐漸(jian)泯滅,那時(shi)候,人心諂邪狡詐(zha),重新(xin)作(zuo)惡,五燒五痛,越來越劇(ju),你(ni)們應當由我佛(fo)法的弟子轉為教導世(shi)人的老(lao)師,不倦地教誡眾生,引導眾生。你(ni)們記住,對(dui)于佛(fo)所留下的經(jing)法,一定不要違犯(fan)。
彌勒菩薩(sa)合(he)掌(zhang)致謝禮(li),贊嘆道:世(shi)間人(ren)(ren)類的(de)惡(e)與苦,如佛(fo)(fo)(fo)所說這樣大(da)、這樣深(shen),佛(fo)(fo)(fo)皆(jie)慈(ci)哀世(shi)間惡(e)人(ren)(ren),不(bu)計其惡(e)而全部度脫。我等受佛(fo)(fo)(fo)深(shen)刻的(de)教誨,不(bu)敢違犯忘失。
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告阿(a)(a)難(nan):若曹欲見(jian)(jian)無(wu)(wu)量清(qing)凈平(ping)等(deng)(deng)(deng)覺,及(ji)諸(zhu)(zhu)菩(pu)(pu)薩、阿(a)(a)羅漢等(deng)(deng)(deng)所居國(guo)(guo)土,應起西向,當日(ri)沒(mei)處(chu),恭敬頂(ding)(ding)禮,稱念南無(wu)(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)。阿(a)(a)難(nan)即(ji)從座起,面西合(he)掌,頂(ding)(ding)禮白言(yan)(yan):我(wo)今愿見(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),供養奉事,種(zhong)諸(zhu)(zhu)善(shan)(shan)根。頂(ding)(ding)禮之間,忽(hu)見(jian)(jian)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),容(rong)顏(yan)廣大(da)(da),色(se)相端嚴。如(ru)(ru)黃金(jin)山(shan),高(gao)出一(yi)切(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)上。又聞十方世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)如(ru)(ru)來(lai),稱揚贊嘆阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)種(zhong)種(zhong)功(gong)德,無(wu)(wu)礙無(wu)(wu)斷。阿(a)(a)難(nan)白言(yan)(yan):彼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)凈剎(cha)得未曾(ceng)有,我(wo)亦(yi)(yi)愿樂生于(yu)彼土。世(shi)(shi)(shi)尊告言(yan)(yan):其中(zhong)生者(zhe),已曾(ceng)親近無(wu)(wu)量諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),植(zhi)眾德本。汝欲生彼,應當一(yi)心(xin)歸依瞻仰。作(zuo)是(shi)語時,阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)即(ji)于(yu)掌中(zhong)放無(wu)(wu)量光,普照(zhao)一(yi)切(qie)(qie)諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)。時諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)悉(xi)(xi)(xi)明(ming)現(xian),如(ru)(ru)處(chu)一(yi)尋。以(yi)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)殊勝(sheng)光明(ming),極(ji)清(qing)凈故,于(yu)此(ci)(ci)世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie)所有黑山(shan)、雪山(shan)、金(jin)剛(gang)、鐵圍(wei)大(da)(da)小(xiao)諸(zhu)(zhu)山(shan),江(jiang)河叢(cong)林,天(tian)(tian)人(ren)宮殿,一(yi)切(qie)(qie)境界(jie)(jie),無(wu)(wu)不(bu)照(zhao)見(jian)(jian)。譬如(ru)(ru)日(ri)出,明(ming)照(zhao)世(shi)(shi)(shi)間。乃至泥犁、溪(xi)谷,幽冥(ming)之處(chu),悉(xi)(xi)(xi)大(da)(da)開辟(pi),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)同(tong)一(yi)色(se)。猶(you)如(ru)(ru)劫(jie)水(shui)(shui)彌(mi)(mi)滿世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),其中(zhong)萬物(wu),沉沒(mei)不(bu)現(xian),滉(huang)漾浩(hao)汗,唯(wei)見(jian)(jian)大(da)(da)水(shui)(shui)。彼佛(fo)(fo)(fo)光明(ming),亦(yi)(yi)復如(ru)(ru)是(shi)。聲(sheng)聞、菩(pu)(pu)薩一(yi)切(qie)(qie)光明(ming),悉(xi)(xi)(xi)皆(jie)(jie)(jie)隱蔽,唯(wei)見(jian)(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)光,明(ming)耀顯赫。此(ci)(ci)會四眾、天(tian)(tian)龍(long)八(ba)部(bu)、人(ren)非(fei)人(ren)等(deng)(deng)(deng),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)見(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),種(zhong)種(zhong)莊嚴。阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),于(yu)彼高(gao)座,威德巍巍,相好光明(ming),聲(sheng)聞、菩(pu)(pu)薩,圍(wei)繞恭敬。譬如(ru)(ru)須彌(mi)(mi)山(shan)王(wang),出于(yu)海面。明(ming)現(xian)照(zhao)耀,清(qing)凈平(ping)正。無(wu)(wu)有雜穢,及(ji)異形(xing)類。唯(wei)是(shi)眾寶(bao)莊嚴,圣(sheng)賢共住。阿(a)(a)難(nan)及(ji)諸(zhu)(zhu)菩(pu)(pu)薩眾等(deng)(deng)(deng),皆(jie)(jie)(jie)大(da)(da)歡喜,踴(yong)躍作(zuo)禮,以(yi)頭著地,稱念南無(wu)(wu)阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)三藐三佛(fo)(fo)(fo)陀(tuo)。諸(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人(ren)民,以(yi)至蜎飛蠕動(dong),睹斯(si)光者(zhe),所有疾苦,莫不(bu)休止,一(yi)切(qie)(qie)憂(you)惱,莫不(bu)解脫。悉(xi)(xi)(xi)皆(jie)(jie)(jie)慈心(xin)作(zuo)善(shan)(shan),歡喜快樂。鐘磬、琴瑟、箜(kong)篌樂器,不(bu)鼓自然皆(jie)(jie)(jie)作(zuo)五音。諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)中(zhong),諸(zhu)(zhu)天(tian)(tian)人(ren)民,各持(chi)花(hua)香,來(lai)于(yu)虛(xu)空,散(san)作(zuo)供養。爾時極(ji)樂世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),過于(yu)西方百千俱(ju)胝(zhi)那由(you)他(ta)國(guo)(guo),以(yi)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)威力,如(ru)(ru)對目前(qian),如(ru)(ru)凈天(tian)(tian)眼,觀(guan)一(yi)尋地。彼見(jian)(jian)此(ci)(ci)土,亦(yi)(yi)復如(ru)(ru)是(shi)。悉(xi)(xi)(xi)睹娑婆世(shi)(shi)(shi)界(jie)(jie),釋迦(jia)如(ru)(ru)來(lai),及(ji)比(bi)丘眾,圍(wei)繞說法(fa)。
【譯文】釋加牟尼佛告誡阿難說:“你們如果想見無(wu)量壽(shou)佛以及西方極樂世(shi)界諸菩薩、阿羅漢等所居住(zhu)的(de)凈土,應起立面(mian)向(xiang)西方,即對(dui)日落之處,恭(gong)敬(jing)地(di)行禮,稱念(nian)南無(wu)阿彌陀(tuo)佛。”
阿(a)(a)難即刻從(cong)座位上站起來(lai),面(mian)向西方;合掌行禮而(er)發愿道:我(wo)現在(zai)愿見極樂(le)世界的阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛,供養伺奉阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛,并以(yi)此(ci)積累福(fu)德。正(zheng)行禮之間,忽見阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛。阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛臉面(mian)極其廣大,面(mian)容相貌端莊威(wei)嚴,如黃金的山(shan),高(gao)高(gao)地出現在(zai)一切諸世界上空(kong),又聽聞到十方世界的諸佛如來(lai),都在(zai)稱揚贊嘆阿(a)(a)彌(mi)(mi)陀(tuo)(tuo)佛的種(zhong)種(zhong)功德,天地之間無處不回響著這美好的聲音,久(jiu)(jiu)久(jiu)(jiu)不斷。”
阿(a)難(nan)稟(bing)白說:“今見西方極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie),得見所未見,聞(wen)所未聞(wen)的奇跡,我也(ye)愿意(yi)高興地往(wang)生(sheng)于那里。”世尊(zun)告訴他說:“西方極(ji)樂(le)世界(jie)的往(wang)生(sheng)者(zhe),過去曾供養伺奉無量諸佛,積(ji)累(lei)了各種福德善根,你(ni)想往(wang)生(sheng)那里,就應當一心一意(yi)地歸依和瞻仰阿(a)彌(mi)陀佛。”
說這話的(de)(de)(de)時(shi)候(hou),阿彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)即在手(shou)掌中放出(chu)(chu)無(wu)(wu)量的(de)(de)(de)光(guang)(guang),普照(zhao)一切(qie)諸佛(fo)世(shi)界(jie)(jie)。這時(shi)候(hou),諸佛(fo)國皆全部顯現出(chu)(chu)來,只在咫尺之間(jian)。因為阿彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)無(wu)(wu)比(bi)的(de)(de)(de)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming)極其清凈的(de)(de)(de)緣故(gu),把(ba)(ba)這世(shi)界(jie)(jie)所有的(de)(de)(de)黑(hei)山(shan)(shan)(shan)、雪山(shan)(shan)(shan)、金(jin)剛山(shan)(shan)(shan)、鐵圍山(shan)(shan)(shan)等(deng)大大小小的(de)(de)(de)山(shan)(shan)(shan),把(ba)(ba)這世(shi)界(jie)(jie)所有的(de)(de)(de)江河、叢林、天人宮殿等(deng)等(deng)一切(qie)境界(jie)(jie),全都照(zhao)現出(chu)(chu)來。譬(pi)如(ru)(ru)太陽升起在空中,光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming)普照(zhao)世(shi)間(jian),乃至照(zhao)遍地獄、溪(xi)谷等(deng)幽暗(an)之處。這些幽暗(an)之處全都開(kai)明(ming)(ming)盡現,世(shi)上一切(qie)事(shi)物無(wu)(wu)不顯出(chu)(chu)金(jin)色光(guang)(guang)芒。猶如(ru)(ru)劫水(shui)彌漫(man)于世(shi)界(jie)(jie),其中的(de)(de)(de)萬(wan)物沉(chen)沒不現,無(wu)(wu)邊無(wu)(wu)際唯見(jian)大水(shui)。阿彌陀(tuo)佛(fo)的(de)(de)(de)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming)亦是這樣。聲聞、菩薩(sa)的(de)(de)(de)一切(qie)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming),全都隱蔽不現,惟見(jian)佛(fo)光(guang)(guang)明(ming)(ming)耀(yao)顯赫(he)。
在此聚會的四眾弟(di)子,天(tian)龍八部、人非人等,都親(qin)眼看見(jian)了極樂世界的種(zhong)種(zhong)莊嚴之象。阿(a)(a)彌陀佛坐(zuo)在他的高座上(shang),威嚴肅穆,功(gong)德巍(wei)(wei)巍(wei)(wei),瑞相光明,與天(tian)地齊。聲聞、菩(pu)薩(sa)弟(di)子恭恭敬敬地圍(wei)繞在他身(shen)邊(bian)。譬如須彌山王(wang)升(sheng)起于(yu)海面,光明照(zhao)耀,清凈(jing)安穩(wen),沒有雜染污穢,以及異形物類,只(zhi)有各種(zhong)寶(bao)物莊嚴修飾,只(zhi)有圣人與賢(xian)者相居共住(zhu)。阿(a)(a)難及諸菩(pu)薩(sa)眾等皆心生大歡喜,歡呼(hu)雀躍,五(wu)體投地恭行大禮,口中稱念南無(wu)阿(a)(a)彌陀佛。
諸(zhu)(zhu)天界(jie)人民,以(yi)(yi)至飛蠅爬蟲,凡見(jian)(jian)到阿彌陀佛(fo)光明者,所有的(de)疾病痛(tong)苦,莫(mo)不(bu)消失,一(yi)切的(de)憂愁煩惱,無不(bu)解脫。人人都(dou)生發出(chu)慈善(shan)之心,人人都(dou)感到歡喜快樂(le)。鐘(zhong)磬琴瑟、箜篌樂(le)器,不(bu)鼓不(bu)彈不(bu)吹不(bu)奏便自(zi)然(ran)地發出(chu)音樂(le)。諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)國中諸(zhu)(zhu)天人民各各手持鮮花、供香,來(lai)到虛空之中散下,以(yi)(yi)此供養佛(fo)世(shi)尊。那(nei)時,極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)雖(sui)遠(yuan)在西(xi)方百(bai)千俱胝那(nei)由他國度之外,以(yi)(yi)佛(fo)的(de)威力現出(chu)奇跡(ji),如(ru)在眼前對面。又(you)如(ru)同(tong)(tong)以(yi)(yi)天眼觀看(kan)咫尺(chi)以(yi)(yi)外的(de)地方,自(zi)然(ran)無不(bu)清(qing)晰明見(jian)(jian)。極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)上(shang)的(de)圣(sheng)眾看(kan)娑婆(po)世(shi)界(jie)也同(tong)(tong)娑婆(po)世(shi)異眾生看(kan)他們(men)一(yi)樣清(qing)晰明白,他們(men)又(you)都(dou)能看(kan)到娑婆(po)世(shi)界(jie)上(shang)的(de)釋(shi)迦(jia)牟尼佛(fo),以(yi)(yi)及(ji)眾比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)。眾比(bi)丘(qiu)(qiu)圍繞釋(shi)迦(jia)如(ru)來(lai),正在演說此《大乘(cheng)無量壽(shou)莊嚴(yan)清(qing)凈平等覺(jue)經》。
【原文】爾時佛(fo)告阿難(nan),及(ji)慈(ci)氏菩薩:汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),宮殿樓閣(ge),泉池林樹,具足微(wei)妙清凈莊嚴否(fou)?汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)欲界(jie)(jie)(jie)諸(zhu)(zhu)天,上至色(se)究竟天,雨諸(zhu)(zhu)香華,遍(bian)佛(fo)剎否(fou)?阿難(nan)對(dui)曰(yue):唯然(ran)已(yi)見(jian)(jian)(jian)。汝(ru)(ru)聞阿彌陀佛(fo)大(da)音(yin)宣布一(yi)切世(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie),化眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)否(fou)?阿難(nan)對(dui)曰(yue):唯然(ran)已(yi)聞。佛(fo)言(yan):汝(ru)(ru)見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)國(guo)凈行(xing)之(zhi)眾(zhong),游(you)處(chu)虛(xu)空(kong),宮殿隨身,無所障礙,遍(bian)至十(shi)方供養諸(zhu)(zhu)佛(fo)否(fou)?及(ji)見(jian)(jian)(jian)彼(bi)等(deng)念佛(fo)相續否(fou)?復有眾(zhong)鳥住(zhu)虛(xu)空(kong)界(jie)(jie)(jie),出種種音(yin),皆是化作,汝(ru)(ru)悉見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?慈(ci)氏白(bai)言(yan):如佛(fo)所說(shuo),一(yi)一(yi)皆見(jian)(jian)(jian)。佛(fo)告彌勒(le):彼(bi)國(guo)人民(min)有胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)(zhe),汝(ru)(ru)復見(jian)(jian)(jian)否(fou)?彌勒(le)白(bai)言(yan):世(shi)尊,我見(jian)(jian)(jian)極(ji)樂世(shi)界(jie)(jie)(jie)人住(zhu)胎者(zhe)(zhe),如夜摩天,處(chu)于宮殿。又(you)見(jian)(jian)(jian)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng),于蓮華內結跏趺(fu)坐(zuo),自然(ran)化生(sheng)(sheng)。何因(yin)緣故,彼(bi)國(guo)人民(min),有胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)(zhe),有化生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)(zhe)?
【譯文】那時(shi)候(hou),釋迦牟尼(ni)問(wen)阿難(nan)以及慈(ci)氏菩薩道:“你們看見極樂(le)世界(jie)的宮殿、樓(lou)閣、泉池、林(lin)樹(shu)是否十(shi)分微妙和(he)清凈莊(zhuang)嚴?你們看見欲界(jie)諸天,上至色究竟天,降香花(hua)之(zhi)雨,那花(hua)遍散十(shi)方佛國凈土(tu)了嗎?”
阿難回(hui)答說:“都(dou)看見了。”
釋迦牟尼佛又問:“你們聽到(dao)阿彌陀佛以他宏大的聲(sheng)音宣布,他將于一切(qie)世界來化度眾生了嗎?”
阿(a)難回(hui)答說:“都聽到了。”
釋迦牟尼佛(fo)又(you)說:“你們(men)(men)看(kan)見(jian)極樂世界清凈修行的(de)圣眾遨游虛空(kong)之(zhi)中了(le)嗎(ma)?他們(men)(men)所居的(de)宮(gong)殿隨在(zai)(zai)(zai)身后,他們(men)(men)飛到(dao)哪(na)兒宮(gong)殿也跟到(dao)哪(na)兒,竟然(ran)沒有任(ren)何障礙。你們(men)(men)看(kan)見(jian)他們(men)(men)如(ru)此這般地(di)飛遍十方世界去供養諸佛(fo)了(le)嗎(ma)?你們(men)(men)看(kan)到(dao)他們(men)(men)在(zai)(zai)(zai)不斷念佛(fo)嗎(ma)?各種鳥在(zai)(zai)(zai)虛空(kong)中啼叫(jiao),發(fa)出種種聲音,都是阿彌陀佛(fo)的(de)變化所為,你們(men)(men)全看(kan)出來(lai)了(le)嗎(ma)?”
彌勒菩(pu)薩答(da)道:“如佛所說,我(wo)們都一一看見(jian)了(le)。”
釋迦(jia)牟(mou)尼(ni)佛(fo)又(you)向彌勒菩薩(sa)發問道:“西方極(ji)樂世(shi)界的(de)人民中暫的(de)是胎生(sheng)的(de),你看清楚了(le)嗎(ma)?”
彌勒(le)菩薩回(hui)答說:“世(shi)尊(zun),我(wo)看見極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)(jie)有(you)胎(tai)生的人(ren),猶如夜摩天人(ren)在宮殿中(zhong)。又還看見眾生于(yu)蓮花(hua)內結跏跌坐(zuo)而(er)自然(ran)化生。但(dan)這是什么因緣造成西方極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)(jie)有(you)胎(tai)生者和化生者兩種眾生的呢?”
【原文】佛(fo)(fo)(fo)告慈氏:若有眾生(sheng)(sheng),以(yi)(yi)疑(yi)惑(huo)心(xin)修諸(zhu)(zhu)功(gong)德(de)(de),愿生(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)國(guo)(guo)。不(bu)(bu)了佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)可(ke)稱智(zhi)(zhi)、大乘廣(guang)智(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等無(wu)倫最上(shang)勝智(zhi)(zhi),于(yu)(yu)(yu)此(ci)諸(zhu)(zhu)智(zhi)(zhi),疑(yi)惑(huo)不(bu)(bu)信。猶信罪福(fu),修習善本,愿生(sheng)(sheng)其(qi)國(guo)(guo)。復有眾生(sheng)(sheng),積集善根,希求佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi)、普遍(bian)智(zhi)(zhi)、無(wu)等智(zhi)(zhi)、威(wei)德(de)(de)廣(guang)大不(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi)(zhi)。于(yu)(yu)(yu)自(zi)善根,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)生(sheng)(sheng)信。故于(yu)(yu)(yu)往生(sheng)(sheng)清(qing)凈(jing)佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo),意(yi)志猶豫,無(wu)所(suo)專(zhuan)據。然猶續念不(bu)(bu)絕。結(jie)其(qi)善愿為本,續得(de)往生(sheng)(sheng)。是諸(zhu)(zhu)人等,以(yi)(yi)此(ci)因緣,雖(sui)生(sheng)(sheng)彼(bi)國(guo)(guo),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)前至無(wu)量壽所(suo)。道止佛(fo)(fo)(fo)國(guo)(guo)界邊,七(qi)寶城中。佛(fo)(fo)(fo)不(bu)(bu)使爾,身行所(suo)作,心(xin)自(zi)趣向(xiang)。亦有寶池蓮華,自(zi)然受身。飲(yin)食快樂,如忉(dao)利(li)天。于(yu)(yu)(yu)其(qi)城中,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)得(de)出。所(suo)居舍宅在地,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)隨意(yi)高大。于(yu)(yu)(yu)五百歲,常不(bu)(bu)見(jian)佛(fo)(fo)(fo),不(bu)(bu)聞經法,不(bu)(bu)見(jian)菩薩聲聞圣眾。其(qi)人智(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)不(bu)(bu)明,知(zhi)經復少。心(xin)不(bu)(bu)開解,意(yi)不(bu)(bu)歡(huan)樂。是故于(yu)(yu)(yu)彼(bi)謂之胎生(sheng)(sheng)。若有眾生(sheng)(sheng),明信佛(fo)(fo)(fo)智(zhi)(zhi),乃(nai)至勝智(zhi)(zhi),斷除疑(yi)惑(huo),信己(ji)善根,作諸(zhu)(zhu)功(gong)德(de)(de),至心(xin)回向(xiang)。皆(jie)于(yu)(yu)(yu)七(qi)寶華中,自(zi)然化生(sheng)(sheng),跏(jia)趺而坐。須(xu)臾之頃,身相光明,智(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)功(gong)德(de)(de),如諸(zhu)(zhu)菩薩,具足成就。彌勒(le)當知(zhi),彼(bi)化生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),智(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui)勝故。其(qi)胎生(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),五百歲中,不(bu)(bu)見(jian)三寶,不(bu)(bu)知(zhi)菩薩法式,不(bu)(bu)得(de)修習功(gong)德(de)(de),無(wu)因奉(feng)事無(wu)量壽佛(fo)(fo)(fo)。當知(zhi)此(ci)人,宿世之時,無(wu)有智(zhi)(zhi)慧(hui),疑(yi)惑(huo)所(suo)致。
【譯文】釋迦牟尼佛(fo)(fo)告訴(su)彌(mi)勒(le)菩薩道:“比如(ru)有的(de)眾生用疑惑的(de)態度去修(xiu)種種功(gong)德(de)(de),愿(yuan)往(wang)生西方(fang)(fang)極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie),他(ta)們(men)(men)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)理解佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi)、不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)可(ke)稱智(zhi)、大乘廣智(zhi)、無(wu)等無(wu)倫最(zui)上勝(sheng)智(zhi)的(de)奧(ao)妙,對(dui)(dui)(dui)于(yu)這些(xie)佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)持懷(huai)疑而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)相信的(de)態度,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)過他(ta)們(men)(men)還相信五逆十(shi)惡等重罪以(yi)及(ji)五戒十(shi)善等福(fu)業,能(neng)造成因(yin)(yin)果報應,因(yin)(yin)而修(xiu)習(xi)為(wei)善功(gong)德(de)(de),愿(yuan)往(wang)生極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie);還有的(de)眾生,積累功(gong)德(de)(de)善根(gen),希望(wang)求得佛(fo)(fo)智(zhi)、普(pu)遍(bian)智(zhi)、無(wu)等智(zhi)、威德(de)(de)廣大不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)思議智(zhi),但對(dui)(dui)(dui)自己的(de)善根(gen)卻不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)堅定(ding)信心(xin),因(yin)(yin)此,對(dui)(dui)(dui)于(yu)是否(fou)能(neng)往(wang)生西方(fang)(fang)極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie),意志猶豫而不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)堅定(ding),對(dui)(dui)(dui)于(yu)自修(xiu)善根(gen),尚(shang)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)一心(xin)信奉,因(yin)(yin)而對(dui)(dui)(dui)于(yu)往(wang)生佛(fo)(fo)國(guo)凈土,只是半信半疑,不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)能(neng)一心(xin)專(zhuan)念(nian),但他(ta)畢竟(jing)能(neng)夠繼續念(nian)佛(fo)(fo)不(bu)(bu)(bu)(bu)絕,以(yi)念(nian)佛(fo)(fo)力結成其(qi)往(wang)生極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)的(de)善愿(yuan),以(yi)發愿(yuan)力為(wei)依(yi)據(ju),仍得以(yi)往(wang)生西方(fang)(fang)極樂(le)世(shi)界(jie)。
“上(shang)述二類人(ren)(ren),以(yi)他們(men)的(de)因緣雖得(de)(de)以(yi)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)西方極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界,但不(bu)(bu)能(neng)到(dao)達無量壽佛(fo)的(de)住所(suo)。他們(men)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)的(de)路只到(dao)極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界邊界上(shang)的(de)七(qi)(qi)寶城中(zhong),這(zhe)并不(bu)(bu)是(shi)阿(a)彌陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo)造成的(de)。能(neng)否到(dao)達佛(fo)地(di)(di)取決于(yu)他們(men)自身(shen)的(de)行(xing)為,取決于(yu)他們(men)的(de)內心取向。也有犯有疑惑的(de)往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者從寶池(chi)蓮花中(zhong)自然受(shou)身(shen),這(zhe)些往(wang)(wang)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)到(dao)邊界疑城中(zhong)的(de)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),飲食方面的(de)快樂(le)(le)有如忉利天,但其(qi)在七(qi)(qi)寶城中(zhong)不(bu)(bu)能(neng)得(de)(de)以(yi)外出,只能(neng)居(ju)住在平地(di)(di)住宅中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)像(xiang)其(qi)他極樂(le)(le)世(shi)界的(de)圣眾(zhong)那(nei)樣(yang)隨意上(shang)升(sheng)虛(xu)空。在五百年之中(zhong),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)見到(dao)阿(a)彌陀(tuo)(tuo)佛(fo),不(bu)(bu)能(neng)聽聞佛(fo)說經法,不(bu)(bu)能(neng)見到(dao)菩(pu)薩(sa)、聲聞圣眾(zhong)。這(zhe)些人(ren)(ren)雖有小智而不(bu)(bu)明達,對于(yu)佛(fo)法經典(dian)又知(zhi)之不(bu)(bu)多,心靈不(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)開(kai)解,精(jing)神不(bu)(bu)得(de)(de)歡樂(le)(le),所(suo)以(yi)邊地(di)(di)疑城中(zhong)稱這(zhe)些人(ren)(ren)為‘胎生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)’。
“也(ye)有(you)眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)明(ming)確地(di)信奉佛(fo)(fo)智、乃至勝智,斷(duan)除對(dui)佛(fo)(fo)的所(suo)(suo)有(you)疑惑(huo);同時也(ye)堅信自己的善根(gen),從而(er)作諸功(gong)德(de)善事(shi),全(quan)(quan)(quan)心全(quan)(quan)(quan)意(yi)地(di)回向凈土,這(zhe)(zhe)些眾(zhong)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)便全(quan)(quan)(quan)都得于七寶(bao)蓮花中(zhong)自然化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),結跏趺(fu)而(er)坐(zuo)。片刻之(zhi)間,身(shen)相形(xing)貌放射光明(ming),其人智慧(hui)功(gong)德(de),具足如同諸菩(pu)薩。彌勒(le)你應當知(zhi)道(dao),這(zhe)(zhe)些化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)之(zhi)所(suo)(suo)以得化(hua)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng),是他們的智慧(hui)超過上述(shu)胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe)。胎(tai)生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)者(zhe),在(zai)五百年中(zhong)不(bu)得見(jian)佛(fo)(fo)法僧三寶(bao),不(bu)得見(jian)菩(pu)薩作法儀式,不(bu)得修習(xi)功(gong)德(de),不(bu)能得到(dao)奉事(shi)無量壽佛(fo)(fo)的條件。應當知(zhi)道(dao),這(zhe)(zhe)是因為這(zhe)(zhe)些人在(zai)前(qian)世的時候,沒有(you)智慧(hui)而(er)心生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)疑惑(huo)所(suo)(suo)造成。”
