漳州(zhou)木版年(nian)畫始(shi)于宋代,當時福建的(de)刻書業(ye)開(kai)始(shi)興盛,迅速帶動了民間版畫刻印技術的(de)發展(zhan),漳州(zhou)木版年(nian)畫也隨(sui)福建雕版的(de)發展(zhan)而發展(zhan)。
明代(dai),漳(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)開始走向(xiang)興盛,當(dang)時漳(zhang)州(zhou)已經(jing)有“曲文齋”“多(duo)文齋”等多(duo)家(jia)(jia)書坊兼營年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)。近代(dai)學者葉(xie)德輝在《書林清(qing)(qing)話》中稱“宋刻書之盛,首推閩中”。發(fa)展到清(qing)(qing)代(dai),更有“胡慶堂”“俊記”“錦(jin)源堂”等12家(jia)(jia)書坊參與(yu)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)制作經(jing)營。從(cong)而(er)漳(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)藝術日(ri)(ri)趨成(cheng)熟。年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)題材和構圖(tu)形式漸趨穩(wen)定,繪(hui)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)技(ji)巧和雕版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)、印(yin)制技(ji)術不斷提高。期間漳(zhang)州(zhou)對外貿易港口“月港”的(de)(de)(de)興起(qi),繁榮的(de)(de)(de)海(hai)上貿易,也給木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)外銷帶來了有利(li)條件(jian),增進(jin)了木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)大(da)(da)量向(xiang)海(hai)外輸出,產品(pin)(pin)遠銷到臺灣、香港、東南(nan)亞及日(ri)(ri)本(ben)等地。而(er)當(dang)地最(zui)大(da)(da)的(de)(de)(de)木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)作坊,以(yi)顏(yan)(yan)氏家(jia)(jia)族的(de)(de)(de)顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)(hua)老(lao)店(dian)為首。從(cong)早期開設的(de)(de)(de)“錦(jin)華(hua)(hua)堂”書畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)作坊,經(jing)過幾代(dai)傳承人的(de)(de)(de)努力,至清(qing)(qing)末(mo)民國(guo)初時,基本(ben)形成(cheng)了顏(yan)(yan)氏一家(jia)(jia)獨大(da)(da)的(de)(de)(de)格局,抗戰前(qian)后,顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)(hua)老(lao)店(dian)成(cheng)為漳(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)的(de)(de)(de)集大(da)(da)成(cheng)者。流(liu)傳下來的(de)(de)(de)眾(zhong)多(duo)漳(zhang)州(zhou)木(mu)(mu)版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)精品(pin)(pin),基本(ben)都是顏(yan)(yan)錦(jin)華(hua)(hua)老(lao)店(dian)的(de)(de)(de)珍藏版(ban)(ban)(ban)(ban)。
20世紀初,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)聯(lian)(lian)子街、香港(gang)路、臺(tai)灣路一(yi)帶(dai)集(ji)中了(le)大(da)批年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)店,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)的“聯(lian)(lian)子街”因(yin)而(er)得(de)名。而(er)后由于先進的西方印刷(shua)術(shu)(shu)(shu)的傳(chuan)入(ru),在(zai)社會(hui)的急(ji)劇(ju)動蕩(dang)中,年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)業開始走向衰落。抗日(ri)戰爭時期(qi),中國經濟衰退,又(you)因(yin)與臺(tai)灣和東南亞失去(qu)了(le)貿易聯(lian)(lian)系,生(sheng)意則(ze)比較蕭條,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)的許多術(shu)(shu)(shu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)作(zuo)坊紛紛倒閉(bi)。直至50年(nian)(nian)代尚(shang)有八(ba)九家存在(zai)。此后,漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)地區鄉間逢年(nian)(nian)過節張貼木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)的習俗漸(jian)漸(jian)消失,木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)市(shi)場衰弱,年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)作(zuo)坊大(da)多停業,境況已大(da)不(bu)如前。文革期(qi)間,閩(min)南的木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)受到(dao)(dao)巨大(da)沖擊,泉州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)雕版(ban)被付(fu)之一(yi)炬(ju),幾(ji)乎蕩(dang)然無存。而(er)在(zai)漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou),顏(yan)家將300多塊年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)雕版(ban)藏(zang)到(dao)(dao)鄉下,才(cai)得(de)以保留(liu) 。1957年(nian)(nian)顏(yan)家傳(chuan)人顏(yan)家鏡(jing)印制了(le)一(yi)套漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)古木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua),被國家定為民(min)(min)間藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)品赴蘇(su)聯(lian)(lian)東歐(ou)各(ge)國展(zhan)覽;1986年(nian)(nian)顏(yan)文華(hua)又(you)印制了(le)一(yi)套古木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua),參加福(fu)建(jian)民(min)(min)間美展(zhan)晉京展(zhan);1988年(nian)(nian)在(zai)全國民(min)(min)間美術(shu)(shu)(shu)工作(zuo)大(da)會(hui)上得(de)到(dao)(dao)與會(hui)專(zhuan)家們高度贊賞;1990年(nian)(nian)載入(ru)《中國民(min)(min)間藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)大(da)辭典》。 2001年(nian)(nian)漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)市(shi)藝(yi)術(shu)(shu)(shu)館(guan)館(guan)長林育培所撰《漳(zhang)(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)民(min)(min)間木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)(hua)(hua)初探(tan)》一(yi)文榮(rong)獲第十一(yi)屆(jie)“群星獎”(群眾文化科研成果評獎)金(jin)獎。
2006年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)5月,漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)列入第一批國家級非物質文(wen)化遺產名錄。同(tong)(tong)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian),漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)顏氏(shi)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)第五(wu)、六代(dai)傳(chuan)人——顏文(wen)華和顏仕國父(fu)子共同(tong)(tong)創(chuang)辦(ban)了(le)漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)顏錦華木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)館,并用家藏老(lao)版(ban)、傳(chuan)統(tong)技法繼(ji)續(xu)印制和銷售木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)。2009年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)1月18日,《漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)》特種郵票首發(fa)式(shi)暨(ji)中國2009世界(jie)郵展60城市巡(xun)郵到漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)。直(zhi)接以地域命(ming)名的《漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)畫(hua)(hua)》郵票是(shi)繼(ji)1990年(nian)(nian)(nian)(nian)《水仙花(hua)》之后,漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)市第二次登上“國家名片” 。
漳州(zhou)木(mu)版(ban)年畫(hua)的(de)品種很多,從(cong)形式上看,有不同類別(bie)的(de)各種門畫(hua)、門頂(ding)畫(hua)、中堂畫(hua),有欣賞用的(de)獨(du)幅(fu)畫(hua)、連環(huan)畫(hua)等。
門(men)畫(hua)如(ru):《天官賜福(fu)》《加(jia)冠(guan)進(jin)祿》《簪(zan)花晉(jin)爵》《神(shen)荼郁(yu)壘(lei)》《秦瓊(qiong)敬德(de)》《添丁進(jin)財(cai)》等(deng)等(deng);門(men)頂畫(hua)如(ru):《八(ba)卦(gua)》《獅街劍》《五虎抱(bao)錢》;中堂(tang)畫(hua)如(ru):《福(fu)祿壽喜春》《和合仙》《三(san)仙姑》《招財(cai)王石宗》《春招財(cai)子(zi)》《連招貴(gui)子(zi)》《百子(zi)千孫》等(deng);布置居室的獨幅畫(hua)、連環(huan)畫(hua)如(ru)《郭子(zi)儀拜(bai)壽》《孟姜女前后(hou)本》等(deng)。
而(er)門(men)畫(hua)(hua)又(you)有粗(cu)幼(you)(you)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)、文武(wu)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)之別。“粗(cu)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”指的(de)是以大紅或朱紅紙(zhi)(zhi)為(wei)底加以印制(zhi)的(de)門(men)畫(hua)(hua);“幼(you)(you)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”是直接以本(ben)色(se)紙(zhi)(zhi)印制(zhi),其人物(wu)背景的(de)淡紅色(se),亦(yi)是木(mu)版年畫(hua)(hua)藝人自己調制(zhi)套印而(er)成(cheng),無須預先(xian)送染紙(zhi)(zhi)房(fang)染過。而(er)不論是粗(cu)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)或幼(you)(you)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen),只(zhi)要門(men)畫(hua)(hua)畫(hua)(hua)面上的(de)人物(wu)沒有騎馬或插旗的(de),則又(you)稱(cheng)其為(wei)“文神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”;反之即(ji)“武(wu)神(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”。如(ru)(ru)《秦瓊敬德(de)》《騎馬天仙(xian)送子》《連招財子》等,其文、武(wu)類別各(ge)異。此外,各(ge)種年畫(hua)(hua)又(you)有開(kai)本(ben)大小之分(fen),如(ru)(ru)大割(ge)、二割(ge)、三割(ge)、四割(ge)、六割(ge)等數(shu)種不同(tong)規格。
漳(zhang)州木版(ban)年畫藝術技(ji)法(fa)和工藝過程獨具一格,其雕版(ban)線條粗細迥異、剛柔相濟(ji),以挺健黑(hei)線為(wei)(wei)主。用(yong)色(se)追(zhui)求簡明對比(bi),印(yin)制采用(yong)分(fen)版(ban)分(fen)色(se)手工套(tao)印(yin),稱為(wei)(wei)“飾版(ban)”。所用(yong)顏料分(fen)水(shui)質(zhi)和粉質(zhi)兩種,有大紅(hong)、淡紅(hong)、黑(hei)以及本色(se)紙諸種。漳(zhang)州年畫構圖大方,造型(xing)夸張,特別是用(yong)黑(hei)紙印(yin)制的年畫,為(wei)(wei)其他地區罕(han)見。
漳州木版(ban)(ban)(ban)年(nian)畫的雕(diao)版(ban)(ban)(ban)分陽版(ban)(ban)(ban)和陰版(ban)(ban)(ban)兩(liang)種(zhong),印制(zhi)“幼神(shen)”人(ren)物背景色(紅)的版(ban)(ban)(ban)為(wei)陰版(ban)(ban)(ban),這種(zhong)陰版(ban)(ban)(ban)的刻法(fa)和用(yong)法(fa)為(wei)中國所獨(du)有(you)。雕(diao)版(ban)(ban)(ban)上所有(you)線條和色塊的邊緣(yuan)都是向外傾斜(xie)的,這便(bian)于印制(zhi)時調節水分。印制(zhi)時采用(yong)版(ban)(ban)(ban)套印,先色版(ban)(ban)(ban)后黑(hei)線條版(ban)(ban)(ban)。
隨著(zhu)(zhu)社會變(bian)(bian)革的(de)(de)深入(ru),傳統意識(shi)逐漸消除,民(min)間民(min)俗活動因之而(er)(er)發生(sheng)變(bian)(bian)化(hua),依(yi)托(tuo)于地方(fang)民(min)俗的(de)(de)漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)木板年畫(hua)觀賞性(xing)增(zeng)強(qiang),而(er)(er)趨(qu)吉避邪的(de)(de)實用性(xing)減(jian)(jian)弱,由此造成年畫(hua)市(shi)場的(de)(de)蕭條。隨著(zhu)(zhu)原來民(min)間年畫(hua)市(shi)場的(de)(de)萎縮,從事漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)木板年畫(hua)生(sheng)產的(de)(de)人員大大減(jian)(jian)少。面對木版年畫(hua)的(de)(de)境況(kuang),漳(zhang)州(zhou)(zhou)(zhou)市(shi)文化(hua)部門(men)也多次呼吁,希(xi)望(wang)有關部門(men)劃撥場地搶救木版年畫(hua),收藏雕(diao)版。
顏(yan)氏家(jia)族木版年(nian)畫(hua)傳承(cheng)人顏(yan)仕國認為(wei),雖(sui)然(ran)現(xian)代(dai)的(de)(de)印(yin)(yin)刷技術(shu)日臻完善,但手工印(yin)(yin)刷那種(zhong)(zhong)古樸(pu)、粗獷的(de)(de)藝術(shu)風格卻是難(nan)以替代(dai)的(de)(de)。年(nian)畫(hua)是一種(zhong)(zhong)祈求,一種(zhong)(zhong)裝(zhuang)(zhuang)飾,更是一種(zhong)(zhong)傳統(tong)的(de)(de)民(min)(min)俗(su)。如(ru)今隨(sui)著時代(dai)的(de)(de)發展和民(min)(min)間(jian)風俗(su)的(de)(de)改(gai)變,木版年(nian)畫(hua)作為(wei)一種(zhong)(zhong)藝術(shu)裝(zhuang)(zhuang)飾品的(de)(de)藝術(shu)價(jia)值是無(wu)可替代(dai)的(de)(de)。只要重(zhong)新(xin)挖掘它的(de)(de)內在的(de)(de)藝術(shu)價(jia)值,并(bing)賦(fu)予新(xin)的(de)(de)時代(dai)內涵,木版年(nian)畫(hua)仍然(ran)能(neng)夠(gou)受(shou)到社(she)會的(de)(de)重(zhong)新(xin)認同(tong)。
漳(zhang)州民(min)間(jian)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)畫的(de)學術(shu)價值在于(yu)它(ta)的(de)出現(xian)使學術(shu)界弄清了臺灣木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)畫與漳(zhang)州木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)畫的(de)淵源(yuan)關系(xi),它(ta)在中(zhong)國的(de)民(min)間(jian)藝術(shu)中(zhong),是南方民(min)間(jian)木(mu)版(ban)年(nian)畫里具有(you)粗獷(guang)和秀(xiu)麗兼長的(de)獨特品種。
