梁代(dai)名僧寶志(zhi)(zhi)的(de)(de)(de)墓塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)-寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta),這是(shi)寶志(zhi)(zhi)和尚(shang)留在世上屈(qu)指(zhi)可數(shu)的(de)(de)(de)遺跡之一(yi)(yi)。寶志(zhi)(zhi),就(jiu)是(shi)人們所(suo)(suo)熟知的(de)(de)(de)濟(ji)公(gong)(gong)和尚(shang)的(de)(de)(de)原形。天(tian)監十三(san)年,一(yi)(yi)日,寶志(zhi)(zhi)忽將佛堂(tang)中的(de)(de)(de)金(jin)剛像搬出(chu),自稱(cheng)(cheng)“菩薩當去耳”,次(ci)日便無(wu)疾而終。寶志(zhi)(zhi)死后(hou),梁武帝出(chu)20萬銅錢將寶志(zhi)(zhi)葬于獨龍阜(今明孝陵(ling)所(suo)(suo)在地),其女(nv)永定公(gong)(gong)主(zhu)也以湯沐(mu)之資為(wei)(wei)寶志(zhi)(zhi)修建(jian)了一(yi)(yi)座(zuo)五層寶塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)(今寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)的(de)(de)(de)前(qian)身)。傳說朱(zhu)元(yuan)璋為(wei)(wei)建(jian)孝陵(ling)搬遷(qian)寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)時,挖出(chu)了寶志(zhi)(zhi)的(de)(de)(de)遺體(ti),見其端座(zuo)于對合的(de)(de)(de)兩只缸內,“真身不壞(huai),頭發披身,指(zhi)抓繞(rao)身數(shu)匝,”軍士們無(wu)法(fa)搬動他,明太祖親自前(qian)往賠(pei)禮,答應用金(jin)棺(guan)銀槨厚葬,建(jian)靈(ling)谷寺并賜良(liang)田360頃奉香(xiang)火(huo),這才(cai)搬動了寶志(zhi)(zhi)和尚(shang)。民國(guo)時期為(wei)(wei)建(jian)陣亡(wang)將士公(gong)(gong)墓,寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)被遷(qian)至現址。據當時志(zhi)(zhi)書記載(zai),塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)下應埋(mai)有(you)(you)寶志(zhi)(zhi)棺(guan)槨,于是(shi)決(jue)定發掘塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)基,挖得一(yi)(yi)小棺(guan),外槨已經腐朽,棺(guan)內有(you)(you)一(yi)(yi)石(shi)函,內貯陶缽一(yi)(yi)只,缽內藏寶志(zhi)(zhi)的(de)(de)(de)佛牙、舍利,另有(you)(you)石(shi)碑一(yi)(yi)方,記載(zai)了寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)從獨龍阜遷(qian)徙靈(ling)谷寺的(de)(de)(de)經過。寶公(gong)(gong)塔(ta)(ta)(ta)(ta)前(qian)的(de)(de)(de)志(zhi)(zhi)公(gong)(gong)殿內有(you)(you)一(yi)(yi)塊黑色石(shi)碑,因(yin)碑上刻(ke)有(you)(you)唐代(dai)畫家吳道子所(suo)(suo)繪寶志(zhi)(zhi)像、大詩(shi)人李白所(suo)(suo)作的(de)(de)(de)像贊,由唐代(dai)著(zhu)名書法(fa)家顏真卿(qing)書寫,故稱(cheng)(cheng)唐賢三(san)絕碑。由于戰(zhan)火(huo)毀(hui)壞(huai),到清代(dai)第(di)三(san)次(ci)重刻(ke),碑額上端又增添(tian)乾隆(long)手書“凈土指(zhi)南”四(si)字。
